Keldorn was walking along the road, back from the GUOSIM camp with a knapsack over his back. He hummed a tune and seemed in a fairly good mood as he smiled. The day was partly cloudy but he would likely get back to the abbey in time for the feast.

Tenzin was also nearby having explored the woods, along the river, and was on his way to the abbey having finally decided to go check out the place, and of course, see just how wonderful these so-called Redwall Feasts really are.

Behind a tree stood a fox, a grayish fox and he was not on his way to the abbey, in fact, he hated the place but he also was smart enough to not go near the place. He had been following Keldorn the past couple of hours silently. He would wait on a chance to attack.

Leigh was with Keldorn "Thanks for going with me to get a few of my things from camp"

Keldorn noded "But of course, I would not let Oswald future wife go on her own, the roads are not always 100% safe."

Tenzin was a little ways off from the two shrews and not where he could see the fox.

The fox watched the two shrews and then attacked Keldorn from behind, Keldorn was the main target of the attack after all.

Leigh saw movement out of the corner of her eye and managed to move sideways quickly, getting out her sling, selecting a rock, and upon seeing the fox let a rock fly at its face!

Keldorn tensed up in pain as a blade cut deep into his shoulder, he yelled out in pain and kicked backwards towards the fox, What the many seasons!" His eyes widen as he looked at the fox, blood pouring down his arm from where his shoulder was cut"Kage?!"

Kage was indeed this fox name, this assassin's name, an evil smirk "Yes, it is I...Hello Sir Keldorn or rather a Goodbye!" He goes to strike when the stone sinks into his right eye, blinding him in that eye and causing great pain, he turns to see the shrew maid and chuckles coldly "A lady friend....I only choose one death but...why not two!" He goes to take a slice at Leigh!

Leigh was ready for the fox and quickly fired off another rock from her sling, she then went climbing the tree she bumped into while backing up, getting good ways up even if she did almost fall a couple of times.

Tenzin looked around and sprinted towards the sounds of a fight.

Keldorn eyes narrow as they flash with battle light and he draws his rapier and aims a slice at the fox's back "Back from her ya fiend!"

Kage growls as the shrew maid barely escapes his blade, Keldorn's raspier meanwhile cuts deep into the fox's back. He spins around back at Keldorn, a 2nd blade now in his other paw, he brings both at the shrew warrior!

Keldorn blocks one blade but the other sinks into his chest, he lets out a surprised sort of stunned, pained gasp and staggers backward.

Leigh's eyes widen as she watches from the tree branch, she is out of stones and this doesn't look good at all.

Tenzin comes into view now and glares as he draws his blade, "Hey! Foxbrain...thats my friend!"

Kage grins at Keldorn, his ear turns to the otter as he chuckles "He is your friend?.....my my"He lets a blade drop and goes to grab Keldorn's throat as he is distracted and smiles at the shrew making sure to make eye contact before plunging the other sword into the shrew warrior's chest! "Correction...WAS a friend!"

Keldorn coughs up blood and looks ready to pass out when he is grabbed by the throat and looks into the fox's eyes, then tenses up in pain a moment when he is stabbed. He starts to try and pull the blade out but then the light of life slowly fades from his eyes and he slumps in the fox's paw and goes completely limp.

Leigh screams and almost falls out of the tree she is in, just barely keeping her balance.

A lot happens in a matter of a few seconds, the otter looks on in shock, and then his eyes turn a bright red "Noooooooooooooooo!!!!!"  He charges towards the fox, blade in his paw and paw aimed to grab the fox and if he can slam him into the road, repeatedly.

Kage grins "Who is ne-------" He never gets the word out as he drops Keldorn and feels himself fall backward,the otter's blade in his chest and out of his back, then hitting the forest floor a good 2 or 3 times. The fox dies, he had not expected a beast to attack him after killing a beast, usually, others who fail or panic and run away.

Keldorn falls to the path,limp...lifeless, he has no life in him, he is dead.

Leigh quickly gets down and walks over, even if she knows the answer she still checks for a pulse, finding none she frowns as she sits beside her fellow shrew and looks over at Tenzin and the fox.

Tenzin kicks the fox and then brings his blade down onto the fox neck, beheading him and making darn sure he is dead. He then shivers and takes a few deep breaths, blinking several times, and looks over at Leigh as he walks over slowly and looks down at Keldorn. He feels tears coming down his cheeks and bends down to gently pick up the shrew, he speaks to Leigh "Let's get him to the abbey....and you inside, the fox can rot on the path." He walks the short distance down the path and to the abbey, he will make sure Leigh gets inside safe. Then take Keldorm to the infirmary, lay him on a cot, and then pass out on a cot beside his friend, completely worn out from his blood wrath spell.

Abbey beasts soon find out what happens to Keldorn, he would be buried in the abbey graveyard and remembered as a brave friend to all.

Keldorn was glad to be in the log boat, he paddled along and watched those onshore as they walked along and chuckled. He glanced at the other log boat that belonged to Oswald and waved once to the fellow shrew and the couple other shrews in his boat, Keldorn had Xander"So Sir Xander you are fine with the log boat now?"

Xander shrugged "It's ok....and beats walking, and I know how to paddle from before"He smiles "And it, well when not hunting down vermin it can be relaxing"

Keldorn nods "Unless racing another log boat and no worries, not today do we do that"

Elbio walked along the shore quietly, he been quiet since he had been rescued.

Ciocan speaks "Wot is wrong Private?" He asks the hare "You seem down, I dislike it when one of my hares is sad or upset"

Ciana skips along beside Elbio, she seems to have taken a liking to the hare.

Xander glances over at the shoreline and nods to Keldorn "Good, we don't need a race...even though it would get us home faster...tis fine, I just wonder how much I am gonna slow others down once we get to the bridge, from thar it's walking to the abbey."

Keldorn shrugs "We go slow, I am sure it will be fine Sir Xander...or the others go so far and rest...wait on us, as once to the bridge it is usually about a day but can always be a couple of days...get there by lunch maybe in the day we get there... a few days now"

Elbio shrugs and speaks"I am just...."He blinks "Private?....no I am just a recruit sur...and just ...I don't know, I am thinking of staying at the abbey but I want to also stay in the patrol"

Ciocan smiles "I am the Badger Lord, if I say you're a Private now, you are. The abbey does need a Residental Long Patrol Hare to keep us in touch with one another, you would report once in winter on how things are...maybe in Autumn, unless it's major then you can send a notice of that. You would not need to send one this Autumn, just next Autumn."

Keldorn smiles "Maybe one day a race huh? Could be fun" He looks over at the other log boat and smiles, he speaks to Xander "I am also glad Leigh and Oswald are together now, we can celebrate soon...many reasons for a possible feast at the abbey. The return of the dibbuns, of us, the wedding of Leigh and Oswald, and...just much good news as good news is always more welcoming than bad news"

Xander nods "Well...yeah of course it would be" He chuckles now and keeps an eye on the river as they slowly get closer and closer to the bridge.

Elbio smiles "Thank you sur...I mean, yes."He chuckles and adds "The abbey beast spoke of once not too long ago having an abbey hare but that he like died " He frowns now

Ciocan nods, "Yes he did die, saving a family of squirrels from some vermin."He is quite a little while before he speaks again " The abbey needs a Residential Long Patrol Hare, your do well Elbio, I will let Abbot Benar know and shall give him notice of the post I have assigned  to you with my official seal ."

Elbio nods his thanks and smiles "They will be glad...least hope...of seeing me. I left with a promise to the Badger Mother that I would find some news of the heros...of the dibbuns...even if it was bad news" He smiles "And I jolly well find ya!"

Keldorn looks over at the shore as talking in the boat eases and the friends just focus on rowing the long boat on up the river.

Ciocan smiles "Then maybe when we are almost there you can walk beside me up front to greet them Elbio. I think a good surprise will be nice for the abbey"

Elbio smiles and nods"Yes sur, of course, sur"

Ciocan soon finds a place along the river to camp, the abbey is only a little over a week away.

Keldorn will help get both log boats to the river edge and tie them to a tree to prevent floating away and join the others, he was happy all of them should be, for soon....soon they would be greeting their friends again and have a joyous reunion.

Koda was helping in the gardens, seeing if any space needed weeding and to pick some vegetables and fruits to place in storage as even if it's not as cold here come winter, it still needs somewhat cold later on, and its always wise to keep things in storage.   

Keifer takes walks in the garden sometimes, he has a favorite bench he sits at and listens to things around him. He yawns as he speaks "How are the herb gardens doing, I did make a list of herbs needed in the infirm and those to place in storage as well.   

Donica replies "Its fine Keifer and I know. I have been careful as well and placed each herb in its own small bit of cloth, wrapped it, and laid it carefully in baskets for storage and a smaller one for the infirmary."   

Koda walls over as he dusts the dirt off his pants and has a pear he bites into and smiles "The pears are good this season, want one guys?" He has two other ones.   

Keifer shrugs, but he takes one and takes a taste "They are ok, I never was a fan of pears really, I like peaches though. It's good to know some harvest is going well."   

Donica nods her thanks as she eats some of her pear, "Yeah...I wonder how the trip to the abbey is going, I hope all is well."   

Koda says, "Well they been away like 2 weeks now, so another week should be at the abbey, and likely won't stay too long and will be back before we know it. So guess we will keep watch and then after they are back, tis back to normal training...right?"   

Keifer says, "Oh training never really stopped lad, its always going on just maybe not as hard right now, and some are away so some are basic training, keeping in shape and the healers still have their training, as well as fighters and runners....all do"
   
Donica hmmms "Yeah, and I been working extra hard, I didn't want to have to catch up too much is one reason why didn't tag along on the trip to the abbey, sides traveling isn't really that great a thing"   

Koda says, "One gets used to it, we are the Long Patrol....we have times when need to travel and I know once in a while, like long hikes or runs, or least I think so"   

Keifer chuckles "Yes long marches, sometimes a 2-3 day outing to see how well some would do on a long trip, I remember a week-long outing once. We have to learn to fish, find the correct plants, know what was bad and what was good"He sighs "Miss that, though could still do one even blind..I know plant scents, how some herbs feel., taste though tastes aren't always wise to use to ID something so don't do it"
   
Donica nods "I know some herbs are soft, some spiky feeling, some shaped different but how do you tell the shape, Keifer?"   

Koda is interested in this detail as well as he looks over at the two beasts and listens for replies as he sits on a bench in front of them, gardening chores done for the day.   

Keifer says, "I can feel shape with my paws."   

Donica nods"Neat. I wonder if I can learn that too, could come in handy sometimes"
   
Koda finishes his pear and places the core of the pear on the bench, they use the cores and some other trimmings sometimes for compost around the gardens"How, unless your like hunting at night"   

Keifer rolls his eyes at Koda "Possible but also one never knows. We grow some herbs here, others we get in Halyard..and sometimes we do collect them when can as some do grow on edge of the swamps and there is a small wooded area by Halyard, also seaweed is al over the beach"   

Donica smiles as she gives a chuckle, "Seaweed is odd and I never knew it was something one could eat till got here at the mountain"
   
Koda says, "Yeah and there is more than one kind of seaweed too. I like the beach, there is shells and cool rocks, even a hermit crab once, though seen a jellyfish once and those are like sea threw and bad to touch...well the like long legs anyways"   

Keifer answers "Yes, why they are called jellyfish is beyond me, stupid name if ask me but they rarely get washed up on the beaches in this area of the Western Shores"   

Donica nods "I will take note to stay away from the then"She stands now "I should head back inside and check on anyone in the infirm" She then heads on inside.   

Koda waves "She is nice isn't she Keifer. And pretty too...I am glad she is here the patrol needed more healers"   

Keifer smirks as he tilts his head "You like her, don't ya lad"   

Koda says, "Ummm.....well she is a friend, well I mean she could be a friend...maybe.I don't know and I like everyone who is a good beast"   

Keifer chuckles "You get along with everyone..."He shakes his head "Never mind lad, come let's get inside it's going to rain"   

Koda asks, "Rain? How do you know?" He is, of course, curious as ever as he looks up, ok a little cloudy"It's not too cloudy"
   
Keifer says, "I feel it in my wrist, and the wind is slightly different and it smells of rain"   

Koda nods "Ok if you say so" He will go inside   

The rain does come a couple of hours later, not too bad of rain just some end of Summer rain.

Xander was up early and had spent most of the day in the dining chambers and kitchen of Salamanstron. He was making teas, he was smiling and keeping his mind off things.

On the table were herbs of mint, sage, some cinnamon, sugar, and a few other spices with white tea, green tea, black tea, and some dried fruits, even cucumber and a little bit of honey.

Koda slipped in and sniffed the air "It smells...interesting but I..wot is it?" He walks over and looks at the items on the table.

Keifer was curious when he stepped inside and walks over "Wot is going on now?" He sniffs a couple of things and tilts his head "Tea?"

Xander smiles "Yes tea. I like making tea, well I do now as never really paid it too much attention, it was boring at first but now its...nice, calming and kind of fun to make tea and try and invent a new tea flavor that's maybe new. And tea can be hot or cold, in any season too"

Koda blinks "I always just thought tea was...like maybe green or sort of black, and....gross or gross to me anyways, how many different kinds are there?"

Keifer decides he may as well sit down "I know some are used in healing arts like Willowbark tea, even mint tea can be used in healing  and there is a sleep helping tea as well."So the blind hare does know of teas or least some it would seem.

Xander nods "Willow bark tea is very bitter for fevers and like pain, its ok with mint..I have drunk some these past few weeks for some pain" He frowns but then smiles, on to better teas "But tea isn't just medical, its relaxing and can be enjoyed on a normal day "He scoots over some tea "Rosehip tea with honey and just a small amount of strawberry juice, like a pinch."

Koda takes a sip and hmmms softly"It's....ok, simple tea maybe to relax?"

Keifer replies "I like mint tea myself or a simple plain green tea" He adds "You didn't make too much of a mess...did ya, cooks hate a mess"

Xander shakes his head and says "No, I keep things in neat piles and did place wot could, most of it, back where got it only a tiny bit needed to be swept up." He smiles again "I also made a sage tea, a lemon mint tea, a cucumber lime one though its a...required taste, and a blackberry black tea that's...surprisingly good"A smile "Just don't stir or seep too long, it will mess up the flavor and that goes for any tea"

Koda chuckles "Maybe we need a tea time here at the mountain. I didn't know one could do some much with tea leaves"

Keifer rolls his eyes "You have a lot to learn Koda, a lot but I am sure ya will and tea making sounds like an interesting hobby for a badger, there was once a badger lord...long time ago.Sunflash, he wrote poems and did gardening."

Xander nods "I read up on some Badger Lords."He sips some of his own tea, he then chuckles "I also know a half tea/ half ale mix but not sure one should drink it too much, my Uncle Zee made it and I can too though believe he used a lot more ale for his than I do for mine."

Koda blinks "Ale tea...wot?" He is curious but nope not gonna drink it"Why would one..drink that fer?"

Keifer replies "Cause they are a fool most likely."

Xander chuckles and the laugh echos a little so he covers his mouth and smiles"My Uncle Zee liked his ale, and his tea....tea making was...well still is I will make sure, important in the Winters Clan, and that includes me..my son and my mate Krisha."

Koda tilts his head and just listens some, he looks at the teas and sniffs one "    This one smells like...flowers"

Keifer checks "Lavender...different but relaxing, perhaps lavender and mint"

Xander smiles and sips his tea he has and grins "Sounds like a winner, a neato...winner of a tea"He chuckles and frowns at the empty tea mug he has and shrugs, "Out...of this tea, oh well more maybe, I have also written down teas made...." He has 10 different ones he made, encluding the...you guessed it ale/tea mix he seems to of had 3-4 mugs of so far and maybe a little of a mint tea, some he just sampled so far.

Koda studies Xander a little "Umm...you ok or not ok?"

Keifer carefully takes a mug and sniffs it and snorts "Ale been in here?"

Xander nods "May of got...too strong of one, hee hee..."Ok, so he is a little drunk."Maybe tea time is over now, hee....yeah its ummm...wot time is it anyway?"

Koda shrugs "I..dont know...almost dinner time?"

Keifer frowns "So how long have you been inviting some...teas for us to try?" He is also curious how well the badger may have written down recipes.

Xander made most of the teas before his ale/tea mix and one other while drinking his ale/tea mix and of course did manage to, slightly messy writing, write out this tea, maybe a little too strong and have more ale than tea in it....oh well.

Koda looks at Keifer "Wot do we do?" He asks quietly, he isn't too worried if anything Xander seems happy.

Keifer sighs and stands "You on the left, me the right we help him to his room, a good ap right chap...healer's orders"

Xander hmmph and then chuckles but allows them to help him to his room, "You hares are nice....oh the other teas...wot of them...can't leave tea all alone...heee tea all alone....hee"He snorts softly and seems slightly tried now.

Koda helps best he can and replies "Ummm someone can clean up the teas I suppose...right Keifer?"

Keifer shakes his head and still has a little the lavender tea mug he waves under Xander's nose.."Sleep is best sur, a good nap is needed, rest heals and all that"

Xander frowns "I no wanna sleep..."He sniffs the lavender tea and smiles "Flowery...nice..."He drinks half of it and hands it back to Keifer before sitting on the cot and then laying down, he is asleep in a few minutes.

Koda looks on curious about all this and steps out of the room, he will clean up the rest of the tea, though he does try the lemon strawberry one and likes it.

Keifer walks back into the kitchens "Well he is asleep, so that's good..wot ya doing lad?"

Koda replies "Cleaning up, the strawberry lemon tea was nice, some others I poured out and cleaned the dishes, mugs, and table, put things away and oh I have his papers of how he made each tea "

Keifer nods "We can place them somewhere, maybe  place the papers on the nightstand in his room...dinner is soon"

Koda frowns "Won't Xander want dinner though?"

Keifer just replies "I think he will be fine till breakfast lad..."He then leads the younger hare out of the kitchens and chores are done before dinner, the rest of the evening is basic everyday stuff.

==== A short role play for the sea trip, again no logger or radio but saved it....I am the saver of the role play logs today ya! enjoy ======

It was a good day, some chores was done as even on a ship one has chores such as mopping the deck, checking supplies and sails, even some simple exercises like push-ups sit-ups and jumping jacks so they like stay in shape while at sea.The trip home had been event free so far, yes there was a small brief storm but it was fairly mild just a lot of wet, not much wind, no damage to the ship was done. Most were below deck, a small few above deck and of course Ciocan at the wheel.

Keldorn was above deck watching the sea quietly, perhaps a lot on his mind of the past few weeks, but it would be good to finally get home and one they were back on the Western Shore it was a 2-3 week trip after a short rest.

Tenzin still avoided most beasts and stayed out of the way of the others, he so far very rarely spoke to anyone and often shrugged or grunted a reply, he always seemed moody and grumpy.

Leigh walks over to the sea otter and folded her arms over her chest "You know Tenzin you could try and make friends, friends are good to have even if you don't think so"

Ciana really should be below deck but she was not, exploring away from the caretaker on duty she was curious of the seawater but had so far been staying away from the edge, but she hit a slippery spot and slipped under the railing,her eyes widen as she goes to grab anything close and fails,a wail and scream and a splash and she is in the water!

Rufus was luckily close by, not that he could fly and help but he could alert someone " Dibbun go into big water, dibbun go splash into big water!"

Ciocan right away frowns and motions for Keldorn to take the wheel"Keldorn..the wheel!" He rushes over to the railing and frowns deeply as he searches for the dibbun.

Keldorn quickly goes to take the wheel and a frown forms on his face, worried now as to who it might be, even so it was a dibbun.

Tenzin glare at the shrew and starts to answer her when he hears the splash before he hears the alert, he jumps over the railing and is now also in the water,his skills showing as he scans the area, it was close to here he knows it as he dives under the water and searches knowing couldn't get too far right now.

Donica was just coming on deck and frowns "Wot!..." She is also now worried and goes to look over the railing where the sea otter went, along with a couple other curious hares as to who went over and what was going on.

Leigh frowns and looks down where Tenzin jumped "Oh no...where are they?"

Ciana briefly surfaces to scream and go under again, luckily near the sea otter.She struggles to get back to the surface of the water and in her panic is only seen briefly again before sinking and this time not coming back up!

Rufus frowns "Bunny dibbun go into big water."

Ciocan watches Tenzin and mutters a silent prayer this goes well, he frowns at Rufus and looks back to the sea.There is not too much he can do right now, though if the sea otter dorsnt surface soon he will dive in himself if need be.

Keldorn stays at the wheel of the ship and is just glad the sea water is calm right now and it wasn't earlier in the day when they had the brief downpour of rain.

Tenzin looks around and sees the hare, he swims over and gets under her and lifts her above the water and keeps her afloat as he swims back to the ship where the others are "Need a rope.."He looks at the dibbun in concern.

Donica quickly gets a rope and lowers it down to them, making sure the other end of the rope is steady and not going to get loose

Leigh frowns "Ciana...oh no, is she ok Tenzin?"

Ciana coughs up a lot of water and starts crying, she panics at first and then realizes she is being helped and relexes a little and just wails loudly from being wet and scared out of her mind.

Rufus paces back and forth on the ship, his feathers are still coming in so he still can not fly.He is like half feathers here, very unbecoming of a great gull but he is ok with it now and needed fresh air anyways.

Ciocan makes sure the dibbun is onboard "Donica...ytend to the dibbun." He glaces at Tenzin "Come on back aboard Tenzin,are you ok?" He takes a glace at the dibbun, then will help Tenzin back on board.

Donican nods and takes Ciana to check on her and make sure she is ok.

Keldorn keeps an eye on the wheel, a short sigh of relief when he hears the dibbun is back on board

Tenzin nods as he shakes some water off "I am fine Ciocan, I am a sea otter after all...suppose ya all glad I am on board" He looks around and snorts as he gets a bit away from the railing now disliking attention on him.

Leigh smiles and hugs the sea otter "You saved her life Tenzin, your a hero"

Rufus just watches and waddles back to the captains room, less beasts there to bother him.

Ciocan looks glad all is well again "Thank you Tenzin for your quick actions. I am not sure who was helping to keep an eye on the dibbuns but the hare helping Dorarose will get a talking to."

Ciana is still a little freaked out, but she is ok and sipping some tea now. Its clear she wont be going any where near the railing ever again.

Donican shrugs "I am unsure, a private I think."She is glad the dibbun is ok and decides to get her below deck to dry off more and get some soup, then some rest.

Tenzin just pouted "Hero?..Hey hey no hug, go hug Oswald he likes hugs from ya..."He snorts again and then backs way, he looks at teh badger "Don't ya dare hug me either...."

Ciocan chuckles at this and offers the otter a smile "No worries Tenzin but still, thank you for your quick action my friend.Ok all...lets get away from the railing and back to out journey, we will be back to the Western Shores before we know it"

Keldorn will stay at the wheel till told to give it back to either Ciocan or Oswald, he likes to help sail the ship and is glad things are once more calm, they would be back on land soon.

Keifer was always up early in the morning and most just left him alone. He knew his way around the mountain, yet no one knew just how he did seeing as he was blind, and yet he was also a healer.

Zolomon was used to Keifer and even helped him out"Yo K..how are ya, breakfast is jolly good but then again it always is good am I right?"

Koda looks up and then goes back to eating his food as some others have finished and gone on to daily exercises and chores.

Xander makes his way slowly down the hallway and then into the dining hall. He has a staff he is using while he is here, it likely belonged to a former hare here or its just one of the many practice staffs the hares use in weapon lessons, either way to him its a temporary staff.

Alif is keeping his distance but watching the badger. He moves slightly when the badger moves and stays just barely out of his way till they get to the dining hall and then the young hare rushes over to Zolomon"Hey Hey daddy...Look look!" He points to Xander.

Keifer shakes his head "I know wot time it is sur and when is breakfast not good may I ask" He finds some pancakes and berries, also gets some greensap milk to drink before sitting down"And wot is all the excitement about, tis too early for any excitement."

Zolomon grins "Its Xandy, he is out of his room."He also smiles at Alif and ruffles his headfur"Hey son"He smiles, it was good to call Alif son and it made the Sargeant happy as he had his ups and downs in life and even what he saw as failures but he would do his best not to fail at being a parent.

Koda even smiled"Hallo sur Xander" He says and waves. He was always polite to guests and he liked the badger.

Xander gives a nod and looks from the doorway to the table and taking a deep breath he carefully uses the staff and makes his way across the room. He about falls once but keeps his balance, he makes it to a chair and again regains balance, he does fall once but quietly gets back up and even shoos away alone hare offering help. He gets to where Zolomon and the others are and sit down slowly."Hey"He says quietly"So wot is thar for breakfast anyway?"

Alif smiles wide"Thars is lots stuff..oatmeal and fruits and toast and...."He names about 4-5 other things.

Keifer just sighs, "Ya know wot be neat kid," He says towards Alif "Getting our guest something to eat and drink and it be nice and helpful to"

Koda just listens as he had started to get up to do this but then sits back down to allow the young hare dibbun to get it instead.

Xander smiles "I..."He sighs ok he will accept the help "Oatmeal with fruits, toast, and some mint tea thanks"

Zolomon lets Alif help and chuckles, he nods to Xander "Tis good to see you out of your room Xandy, always good to not stay cooped up wot, also how is little Ozzy?"

Alif does a sort of salute, he needs practice, and gets what Xander mentioned and then sits it in front of him as he smiles, he then gets his own breakfast and soon sits beside Zolomon.

Keifer yawns and rubs some sleep still left in his eye. He speaks"How are you feeling today Xander? Are your therapy exercises helping you?"

Koda stands and excuses himself as he needs to head off to do some stuff this morning and he then walks off.

Xander just eats, drinks, and then replies "it's..so so I suppose."He doesn't sound too happy really "Still working on using the staff to walk, my paw still shakes at times, though not as bad....the exercises have helped the leg..some, I don't know...still stiff and sore sometimes and..I just don't know and my whole right side once in a while feels stiff and hurts sometimes."

Zolomon waves to Koda and frowns at Xander "I am sure it will...get better Xandy...right Keifer?"Ok, so he is worried about his best friend as well.

Alif just listens and has mixed toast in with oatmeal, berries, and a little apple juice, but hey it tastes good to him.

Keifer replies "I am unsure, it's still amazing ya got this far, your likely to have issues ya whole life...but hey look at t this way, compared ta others who had that poison...your alive, they are dead, end of story."But he does add "Your alive, you are able ta stand and ya seem to be getting better with de staff.....ok so you have some issues the rest of ya life with ya right side, the leg may remain stiff and hardly moving..so wot..I mean no one thought you WOULD be doin' any sort of walking at all, yes ya have a staff but ya could be in a wheeled chair."

Zolomon smiles "He is right Xandy, your alive and...."He frowns "You rightly should be dead, you bally well looked dead when they got ya here....I thought you were and others did too. Ciocan stayed in de infirm a few hours and demanded they tell him any changes, good or bad, right away."He smiles "They ya woke up...yeah you went unconscious again off and on another day or two but ya were not comatose and then you stayed awake and was on de slow road ta recovery."

Alif hugged the badger's arm and smiled up at him "I am glad yous alive too, yous is nice"

Xander smiled slowly and a soft chuckle "Yeah, me too"He says to Alif, he glances at Zolomon and Keifer and the smile is still there, "I am glad to be alive and....well I did say I was putting aside my warrior life. I just, you know if he chooses, to train my son..suppose someone else can help me." He has let the caretakers watch oz the past few days, but oz is in the room with him at night. He smiles more "My plan is to be able to use the staff or maybe a cane and walk a lot better so when it's time to head back to the abbey, I won't have any or least few issues"

Keifer nods "Keep a positive mind best ya can sur, that's always good and I can have someone write up wot you can still do once your home."

Zolomon nods "Maybe I can tag along Xandy, I mean we can....see.I am sure his Lordship and de others have found those vermin scums by now and could well be on their way home" Or he hopes so anyway.

Alif goes climbing into Xander's lap and yawns, he is tried after breakfast and will likely just....yeah a nap is nice.

Xander nods, he smiles at the young hare dibbun and looks at Zolomon "Yeah..hope so anyway, I miss them and do worry"He sighs a little as some worry seeps in as what if they don't return...no he won't think on that change the subject "So Zolomon...wot is interesting and neat is your a Sargeant...and just recently a father since you adopted Alif here, I say that's really neat and surprising but also good"
Keifer stands "Change happens...sometimes good and sometimes bad and we all ajust"

Zolomon nods as he grins "And Sargenat status was a surprise ta me to Xandy" He picks up Alif carefully as to not wake him"I need to place him back ta bed.....ya want to go to the beach maybe Xandy? You could get some fresh air or even de crater...and ya have yet to venture outside even if it's only a few minutes."

Xander looks at Keifer and then forgets, oh yeah blind "Wot do you think Keifer?"

Keifer seems to guess they want a reply "You are you and I am me...so your decision, fresh air is good...anyways I will be in de infirm if needed, ya can send someone ta get me. Have a good day" And he leaves the two to chat among themselves.

Keldorn was lucky as he managed to not get seriously injured, but he did have a bandage around his chest for a cracked rib, and he got a slice to his lower arm. He sat on the ship now thinking. Two days had passed and they were resting and figuring out what to do with the island.   

Tenzin woke up finally and right away, against of the wishes of the healer, stood up and walked right off, falling flat on his face a good half dozen times.He finally made it to the beach and slowly sat down, he growled, yep growled at the healer hare who backed up and decided to leave him alone.   

Keldorn looks down at the sea otter and went to check on him as he stood beside him and spoke softly "I don't think..growling is good ta do my friend as they only want to help"
   
Tenzin snorts"He was in thar, I was so..sooooooooooooo close."He looks around and his eyes focus on the shrew"Gorax....is he dead?"   

Keldorn nods "Yes, he is dead.They made sure...Lord Ciocan and a couple of his hares killed Gorax, bit of a mess...trust me Gorax is very VERY dead"   

Tenzin nods "The fur coat"He keeps it simple, where is it" Its then some of the former slaves he had in his group..22 before the fight, it had dropped to 14 now. One was Copper who limped over, a fellow otter "Hey....."He nods to the shrew, he then turned back to Tenzin and a small package wrapped in clean white cloth,"We...searched for any slavers hidden or any slaves may be inside the main building and found it on his throne,"   

Keldorn stepped back and let the otters talk.He didn't ask what the package was as it was clear.
   
Tenzin carefully takes the package and looks over at Keldorn "Could...you come with me? Not far...just past the cove"
   
Keldorn smiles softly"Of course,I be happy to come along" He goes to follow .   

Tenzin nods as he gets the package.He then walks, falls once but gets up and keeps going.He gets to a small area, another smaller area of beach but away from the sea....along a sort of rocky path, it seemed to lead to a graveyard of sorts.The otter finds a shovel and digs a grave, places the package in it and covers it up and just sits there quietly afterward.   

Keldorn only watches quietly and stays where he is, but then quietly walks over and lays a paw on Tenzin's shoulder and stays by his side to show his support.   

Tenzin tenses up and takes a deep breath...at first a low growl, and then scooted away and started crying.It likely be wise to leave him alone.
   
Keldorn steps back and just waits as he will give the otter his space.He decides to speak "You know...talking helps, so does friends"   

Tenzin snorts, he sighs and finally stands and looks at the shrew "Friends?...whatever....don't need friends.   

Keldorn says, "Everyone needs friends, I use to think friends were just...not needed either then learned they were"   

Tenzin snorts again and walks back towards the ship, he speaks as he sits on the beach by the cave entry on the cove " I don't need a friend"Copper had left, some beasts did walk around on the beach.   

Keldorn sits next to the otter "You know....its good ta be nice as well." He shrugs "Anyways...what is your plans now Tenzin?"   

Tenzin had not thought that far ahead, he frowns now "I...I have no clue"He admits"Not here, I am not sure anyone wants to stay here unless the seals do" There was the seals, they were 10 of them as a couple died during the retreat of the vermin, but still them and some well-placed hares finished off the vermin, none of the slavers remained alive,the slavers all dead.   

Keldorn nods "Well I suppose your..figure it out"   

Tenzin mutters something "Maybe..."He was unsure and right now he was sore all over, but he felt better now that his father's killer was dead and his father had a decent burial.
   
Keldorn says, "We will be going home soon, you and anyone else be welcome to come back to you know"   

Tenzin says, "No " Sweat and simple. "Sides....be too many and it seems that Crimson Tide ship was burned"   

Keldorn says, "I seen that doesn't blame them myself, bad memories most likely..what of ships that might come that's not friendly?"
   
Tenzin says, "The Crimson Tide was the main one, only ever seen one other and that was a couple seasons ago" He walks over to the cove and makes a couple of odd sounds and a seal comes, the otter speaks to it and the seal is off" He will check, Copper think is staying here, maybe some others, least or now

Keldorn nods "Well, up to them I suppose..guessing Copper will stay here with any..well guess a lot of former slaves huh, the ones from Mossflower is going with us and 4 otter cubs are goin' to camp willow"   

Tenzin says, "Yes...I am leaving Copper in charge, he is a...better leader than me...."   

Keldorn says, "Still say you can come with us Tenzin, maybe see Camp Willow or join the Defenders or the abbey"

Tenzin folds his arms over his chest"I don't know what I will do, maybe just wander around"   

Keldorn says, "Being a wander is not always a good life, it can get lonely"   

Tenzin says, "Who cares "mutters "I didn't always stay with the group in the tunnels much either"   

Keldorn frowns and starts to say something else when the otter walks off, he just sits quietly after that
   
Hour Later.......

Rufus has been...hiding on the ship, he helped and lost some feathers and seems to of lost a lot more and the poor bird decided to hide now as he seemed to figure out why his feathers were so easily pulled out...only now he ventured out for some food.

Keldorn was checking on friends, making sure the recently freed slaves were doing ok when he seen the bird "Oh...my...what happen to you my friend?"   

Rufus yarks and backs up "Called molting.....shrew go away now"
   
Keldorn speaks "I have seen birds molt before, it's usually a little earlier in the year, or so thought"
   
Rufus puffs out which makes him look a right mess of feathers sticking all over, a couple fall off. "****** off...." Yes he was a grumpy bird now.He was molting a little late, so what.   

Keldorn backs up a little "Oh right, oh right do calm down friend, tis alright Rufus"   

Rufus tries and fails to fix the feathers, so he grabs a rice cake and heads under a bench.
   
Keldorn offers a smile "I am sure your be ok Rufus and we will head back to Mossflower soon."
   
Rufus eats his rice cake, "Western shore....Rufus shall stay by the big waters....big water is home...nest at crater on mountain....is home"   
Keldorn nods "Aww yes your kind like to be close to the sea. "   

Rufus nods "Yes...big waters.....isss home"   

Keldorn says, "Us shrews like water travel, I been on the sea before too"He glaces over as the 3 shrews he meet in Halayard was still there, on had a broken leg but was doing well."

Rufus pecks the rest of the cake "Maybe Rufus will see wood....if Bunny Lord goes...Rufus will go too, then come back here when he does"   

Keldorn says, "The woods are nice and maybe you could see Redwall abbey and the GUOSIM camp, hmmms wonder how everyone is back home"

Rufus replies "Likely asking same thing of you beasties"
   
Keldorn hmmms"True.....well we did win and soon will be on way home soon enough...."
