Moledeep: Mole Hall
Aikuen is sitting in one of the big armchairs next to the fire. Seems to be napping lightly. Ella is in his arms, she is up and is trying to find her way into Aik's sleeves again. Aik is either too asleep to notice. Or probably is just letting her.
Amethyst enters the hall on crutches very slowly. She of course sees either otter as she hobbles along awkwardly. The maid's legs are no longer bandaged but are quite bruised from being unaccustomed to being used.
Will follows close behind Amy to see that she doesn't hurt herself too much. He does see the otters but is too busy keeping his eye on Amy to really notice them too much.
Ella has successfully found her way inside Aik's sleeves and her little rudder wiggles from side to side as she continues to act like a mole and dig herself deeper and deeper. The only thing that can be seen is her little rudder coming put of his wrist, and she squeaks/barks lightly. Aik just grunts in his sleep, lolling his head to the other side.
After a while Will takes a seat next to Aik since Amy's just walking around the emptier part of Mole hall and isn't in much danger at the moment. He finially spies Ella's rudder poking out and gives it a very light tug, "What are you doing in there silly?" he asks her still keeping his eye good eye on Amy.
Ella turns quickly around and pokes her head out, when her rudder is tugged. She barks and glares at Will, bearing teeth at him. Before looking around at her new position. Queen of the right sleeve. Aik snorts, and blinks at the barking. Still thinking that he is all by himself with her he says, "Shush sweety... Your dad is trying to take a little nap..." he hrms.
Amethyst had heard Will talking so somebeast, likely Chris or one of the twins from the tone of his voice, but the maid is too busy practicing with her crutches to ask who it is. She recalls her mother saying it was 'easier to walk if you don't talk' and applies it now. The barking the Aikuen's voice confirm that it is indeed on of the twins Will had been talking to and Amy wonders how long they'd been there.
William smiles back at his sister's barking. "You think you're so fierce, don't you? Mighty Skipper of Holt otter's sleeve," he chuckles.
Ella grrs a little bit before going back into his sleeve and a little ottery lump appears on his arm seeming to crawl up toward Aik's neck. Still barking and squeaking up a storm. She just cant handle the fun of it all! Aik blinks again and chuckles, "Silly girl..." and lets her continue on. Better crawling and climbing on him, then somewhere he cant keep and eye on her.
Amethyst is ignoring the others or so it seems as she wanders around the room on her crutches, only turning when she nears at wall or other obstacle in her path.
Ella continues her trail up his sleeve until she reaches the chest, where the lump seems to roll down to his waist. She begins to struggle against the cloth, barking loudly. Aikuen laughs loudly as it tickles him and he reaches inside his habit, "Silly girl..." and he pulls her out. She struggle for a little bit before she sees who's got her. She arches her back and reaches out for him. Aik smiles and then something catches his eye, "Umm... How long have you been there?" he looks to Will.
"A while. You think that habit's big enough for you?" he grins as it swallowed up Ella for a while there and big sleeves or not that's quite a feat.
Aikuen holds Ella up to his face and gives her a little kiss. Then Ella places her face on Aik. Still haven't got the kiss down, but she does know the motion. Aik chuckles and puts her down in his lap, "I got the biggest one I could... ahem 'get'... from the abbey. I think its for a badger at one point. Its nice big and oh so warm!" he grins. Ella barks still looking at Will, but she looks happy all the same.
William nods a little turning his head to look at the otter for a moment before looking back over at Amy. "You 'found' it at th Abbey. Don't think too many other places have habits. Sure you needed one that big though?" he asks smiling.
Aikuen holds up one of his sleeves, "Of course i needed one that big. I'm a big otter... and yah..." he grins and winks at Will, "Just... Just keeping the family warm... and such..." he chuckles.
Kentar yawns and scratches an ear as he comes into the room. He's carrying a sleeping Chris on his shoulder, the stoat having talked to his son before he drifted off. And Kentar, being the loving father that he is, figured the floor wasn't the best spot for a napping stoat. So he slides him into a chair, covers him up with a blanket then waves at the otters and rats. "Hey."
"I'm sure," Will chuckles." When Kentar enters he waves a little toward him but still keeps his eye on Amy.
Amy who's still wandering around on her crutches without having said a single word to anybeast since she'd first come into the room.
Aikuen snorts quietly and then waves a bit to the stoat, "Oi... Stoat ahoy!" he chuckles. Ella barks at
Kentar and waggles her rudder a bit, before deciding that Aik's lap is not the place to be. But Aik keeps her in place for now, "I see you have Chris... Not keeping him in the infirm?" he asks, tilting his head.
Kentar hmms a little and shakes his head. "I had a talk with him. I'm still keeping his marbles, and he's not allowed outside for another day. Garnet and I figured it might not be the best thing keeping him in the infirmary. Not much to do, and it keeps him away from everyone else. So." he nods.
"Turn left. come back over this way," Will calls over to Amy again, acting as her seeing eye rat as she hobbles about the room.
Aikuen hrms a bit at the stoat, "Well... Try not to be too easy on them... They hardly learn that way..." he gets up from the chair and nods to Kentar and Will, "Ella is going to be a little... erksome in a minute... See yah Will... Kentar..." he smiles before heading off toward the sleeping hall.
Kentar huhs a little and watches Aik stand. "Oh! Okay." He waves before smiling slightly, looking towards Amy and Will. "How are the crutches coming along, Amy?" he asks.
The blind maid slowly makes her way toward Will and Kentar's voices unable or unwilling to stop til she gets there.
Will gets up to help her to a chair and lean her crutches against the table for her, she looks awfully tired.
"I think you need to slow down a little," Will says to Amy, "Are you ok?" Amy leans her head back against the chair back and nods a little very tired from pushing herself with the crutches all day. "She really wants t walk again and doesn't like it when any of us make her stop for breaks," Will says to the stoat as he stands up. "Watch her a minute I'm gonna get her something t drink real quick."
Kentar watches Amy and smiles a little bit slightly as Will helps her to a chair. "Ah. You'll get used to it, Amy. I did." he nods. "Right, Will." he smiles a little, turning to the rat-maid. "At least your getting it." he nods. "You've got no idea how many times I fell over using mine. And I only had one."
William soon returns with the water and passes it over to Amy, "Here's some water if you want it," he says when her paws wrap around the cup.
"Thanks," Amy mumbles sipping at the water a little before answering Kentar, "I am getting used to it. It's slow going but soon I wont need crutches and things will be back to normal."
Kentar nods slowly and yawns, standing up. He picks Chris up in the blanket and puts the napping stoat in his arms. "Ah. Well." he nods slowly. "If you want or need any help Amy, I'll be here for you." he smiles before yawning. "Anyways, I should head to bed. Put Chris into a proper bed too." he nods, heading for the sleeping hall.
