Redwall Abbey Entry
Leon the mouse. Ebony the rat. Lee the otter. Flicktail the fox. DoraRose the mouse. Rayen the vixen. Benar the squirrel.
Leon has had a bad day already, he walks up and slaps the rat across the fact and glares at her, then without a word storms off to the infirm.
Ebony looks surprised as she is slapped and holds her check, she gives the mouse daggers of death in her vision as she watches him walk off" First chance I get...he dies"
Lee gets in Ebony's face. "Not if I kill ye first!"
Flicktail asks, "Do we know where the vixen is? th...body?"
Ebony narrows her eyes and goes to kick the otter away, "Shut up" She looks at Flicktail."Tell him to back off"
Flicktail offers Dora Roe an brief embrace
DoraRose goes to shove Lee out of her way as she goes to grab a big pawful of the rat's shirtfront (and maybe some fur?) and growls in a rather feral manner. "Don't push me, rat! That mouse is my husband, and so help me, if you kill him, I'll hunt you down and make a rug out of you!! DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!" She just ignores the fox's hug for now.
Ebony has no choice seeing as he arms are tied behind her back and she tenses up a little bit when the mousemaid does this, she even seems a little surprised and in too much shock to try and kick her as well. She then coughs and clears her throat "Like a mousemaid could do much, I am leader of the Silent blades...I am Ebony who are you?"
Flicktail doesn't want to be left out so HE comes up to the Rat "and if THEY don't kill ya *I* will"
Lee growls at DoraRose, of all beasts. He keeps his anger in check, though. He moves to draw his sword. "I say she dies now!"
Flicktail puts out a Paw "Wait son..do not let anger cloud, you said...you THINK she slew the vixen...do we KNOW?" he searches his son's eyes, he will take his son's word for Anything
DoraRose bares her teeth and gets within centimeters of the rat's face. "/I/ am DoraRose Strongheart, swordfighter and wielder of the battleaxe Nightsong. I came from Tuscani, and I hunted a fox for many seasons because he murdered my sister. DON'T try me!"
Rayen walks into the entry and stops backing up a bit back to the pond; what ever is going on, may be wise to avoid the entry.
Flicktail blink blinks and suddenly gives DoraRose a VERY nervous look "You...hunted a...fox?"
Ebony glares at them all as a guard comes to take her somewhere to keep her watches and locked up, somewhere besides the infirm as she is led away.
Lee frowns. "I want that rat watched 24/7."
Rayen frowns "What's going on ?" She stays by the path to the pond, "Is everything ok?"
DoraRose wipes her cheeks, then rubs her shaking paws together. "As do I. But I'd better not volunteer for the watch." She glances at the vixen, but can't bring herself to say anything more just yet.
Flicktail moves to Rayen and puts his paws on her shoulder "Aye Rayen, that rat...we think killed a vixen with a kit, though me son is so upset he isn't really telling me the details yet
Rayen frowns " Who all was there and maybe she did...she killed both?"
DoraRose has pulled herself together, and so she answers the vixen's question, saying, "She might have, but the cub is safe. He's in the Infirmary, probably getting a snuggle from my grandmother."
Flicktail looks at Rayen "Dora Rose is a goodmouse but she can be...VERY scary sometimes"
Rayen nods as she listens to Dorarose and looks at Flicktail, she goes to hug him suddenly," If you go out be careful, cause I..." She just goes quiet, she has yet to really say some seemly easy words.
Flicktail blink blinks and looks intoRayen's eyes "Ye...wot?
Lee sighs. "Zork an' Leon know far more 'n I do about wot that rat did earlier."
Flicktail says, "as soon as we know thiat vermin killed a Vixen wi a kit, she be allyers Lee"
Rayen just seems to enjoy hugging him, she blocks out much else but still lets him speak to the others if he needs to"
"Oh, my word." DoraRose says when she notices that the conversation between the foxes has suddenly gotten awkward (at least from an outsider's point of view). Turning to the Head Guard, she nods. "I'll talk to my husband later. We'll find out the truth, don't worry. I think somebeast ought to tell Benar and Lorimis about this, too."
Flicktail asks, "Dora?' the fox says timidly "Did you really..HUNT a fox?"
DoraRose sighs and rubs her eye. "Yes, Flicktail, I did, but only because he had killed my sister. Remember? Vladmir Stormfeather? He tried to take over Redwall."
Lee nods. "I'll inform Benar when I see 'im. Not sure where 'e is, though."
Flicktail nod nods to Dora Rose "Yea it's just....makes me fur puff some thinkin about bein hunted...but you was right"
DoraRose nods. "Thank you." After a few moments of thought, she says to the otter, "Perhaps he's working on details for the feast that'll be happening in a week from tomorrow."
Lee nods. "I suppose... I thought Lacota was plannin' it, though?"
Flicktail says, "how is Lacota, I have not seen the Friar"
Benar walks down the steps from the battlements and starts across the lawn toward the orchard
DoraRose waves halfheartedly to the squirrel Elder, then walks off to find her husband. This has not been the best of days....
