Flicktail comes strolling in smelling the roses
Aikuen is off to the side of the pond. In the pond itself. What looks like a swan is sleeping in the reeds. Don't bother the swan. Aik is humming to himself as he lightly naps by a tree. Venei is in his lap and she spots the fox, "Flickyflcikyflicky!" she waves a paw and giggles.
Flicktail smiles and waviesto the dibbun, but his paw goes nervously to the pommel of his swoed looking at the swan, remembering what it can do to a rat
Aikuen snorts and looks up at the action of the little one, "Hey Flicktail. Hows it going?" he smiles. Venei leaps off the otter and charges the fox, tackling his legs with a hug, "Heyo!" she then buries her face in his fur.
Flicktail eeps and tumblesover backwards chuckling 'ooo lookit ho gots me" he smiles to Aikuen "um..is it safe..with the Swan?
Venei crawls all over the fox, "I gots you!" she giggles, "Mmmm.... Foxy..." Aik nods and glances to the pond, "Well. As long as you don't go swimming in the pond. Or don't feed her some greens. I would stay away then." he chuckles, "Moyle... Is the swans name."
Flicktail reaches up to Tickle the dibbun "greens? wots wrong wi greens... Th beast told ya er name? a Moyle Swan....
Aikuen nods, "She likes greens. I used as a peace offering. The swan doesn't like fish, surprisingly. Silly birdy. And aye. She can talk a bit. Said her name was Moyle." Venei giggles loudly and curls up at the tickle, "No'es! stops it! Silly foxy!" she continues to giggle. Which Aik laughs at.
Flicktail smiles and snuggles the dibbun "so then shouldn;t *I* give greens to the Swan?
Aikuen says, "Well that's why i said that if you don't give her some greens. Don't go near the pond. I'm saying that you should! Just ask garnet in the Kitchen. She'll help you out!" he smiles. Venei mmms at the snuggle, going to wrap her arms around him as much as she can.
Flicktail says, "ah Oi didn't unnerstand..." he leans up and blows raspberries on Venei's tummy"
Venei giggles loudly and lighly bops the fox on the head with her rudder, "Argh! Heheheh! Stops it! heheeheheh! It be tickly!" Aik nods a bit, "Sorry. I tend to do that alot..." he chuckles, "So. Hows our little problem?"
Flicktail says, "oh bein watched by a Sparra warrior....e be to weak ta cause much trouble but the beast needs ta be bathed"
Aikuen nods, "Aye. I was getting the complaint from me wife. I had to take a bath meself yesterday. And he will be weak for a bit. Is he eating? Drinking?..."
Flicktail says, "Anything not naimed down" he carefully picks up Venei by her rudder, unless it hurts..so he can look at her nose to nose with a smile...blowing in her face gently"
Aikuen nods a bit more, "He should be okay by tonight. Well... At least. On the mend." he laughs at next thing that Flicky does. Venei ergs and arghs a bit being help up be her rudder. It hurts. But she is an otter. She frowns at the fox, which looks like a smile from where she is, "Hey! Put me downs! Noaughs!"
Flicktail smiles and sets her down "sorry Lass....want a fox ride?' he get's in all 4's and offers her aleg up omto his back
Venei uffs as she is put on the ground. Dusting herself and making sure her rudder is still there. She nods forcefully as she climbs the fox. Sitting on his back "Yeses. Moves!" she says. Matter of factly. Like her mom.
Flicktail rears gently and begins to trot aroudn on all 4's bouncing her on his soft back his fluffytail wufting er on either side of her face
Venei giggles and holds onto the Foxes fur with all her might. Uffing as the tail hits her in the face. Lucky its so fluffy. Aikuen laugh loudly and has to hold his side at the scene.
Flicktail trots aroudn Aikuen and whinies....moving along as he does....straying s little close to the swan
Aikuen smirks at them, and rolls his eyes. And when the Fox gets near the pond Aik speaks loudly, "Hey. Flicky. Mind staying closer to me..." The swan is still sleeping. Otherwise she would be hissing up a storm.
Flicktail eeps and trots closer..."hiss does she?" he asks and bucks alittle for the dibbun
Aikuen nods quickly, "Ayeaye. She hisses. Like any other swan. Its very... aggravating really. Lucky im deftly afraid of swans... " he sighs. Venei giggles a bit more still holding on for dear life. Probably pulling on his fur more than necessary.
Flicktail doesn't mind, he loves her and he trots faster but is now panting "whoa lets gooo!" he smiles
Venei giggles and puts her head against the foxes back as he speeds up. Still holding on and lightly giggling. As she gets more frightened.
Flicktail finally gets tires and slows down "ahhh lass,ya wore e fox out
Venei mmms as she crawls closer to the foxes head, giving him a bit of a lick on the ear. Then goes to nuzzle it. Aik awws loudly.
Flicktail strokes the dibbuns thick fur "Oi loves ya Venei
Venei continues to mmmm, "Loves yah too Flicky-tail..." Aik smiles.
Flicktail picks some grass andlooks up at the sky "so now Aikuen is this tha place ya wanan build?
Aikuen tilts his head a bit, "What do you mean build? Build what flicky?" he asks.
Flicktail says, "trhe Place ya wants ta build...wherenice beasts be wi no vermins"
Flicktail gently strokes Venei, and reaches into his cloak..pulling out a jar of fresh Shrimps, he smiles andopens it offering itto her
Aikuen thinks about it for a second or so, "Well. Aye. It be the place. I just don't want my family in any danger, and happy... That's all i really want..." he nods a bit more. Venei ooos and goes to sit the the Foxes lap, nibbling one or two with both paws.
Flicktail smiles "they be pickled....
Venei eats the shrimp loudly. Keeping her mouth open as she eats. Its an odd strange way for having shrimp. Pickled. But hey. Its shrimp. So it has to be good. She smiles up at the fox before going back to eating.
Flicktail smiles and kissesher nose
Venei hrms. Your getting in the way of the eating. How dare you! Course your not married to Fira. And dont know that her offspring has the same weird thing. Don't bother her when she is eating. Buts she lets it slide this time, and reaches up to nose his nose. Sides licking. Kissing she hasn't quite got yet.
Flicktail chuckles "How about ye let me run this one Aikuen?
Flicktail says, "er Rent is one" he nods to Venei"
Aikuen tilts his head again. Thinking about a nap of sorts. Happy enough that his little one is having fun with the foxy. Then he hears his name and creaks his eyes, "Er what? No you may not rent my little rudderkin!" he chuckles, "Unless you got some... salmon on yah!" Venei ergs, "Daddy!"
Flicktail says, "salmon be i...welloi just MIGHt ave one..but it woudl ave ta be a SMALL one.." he winks and chuckles"
Venei frowns deeply at both her dad, then at flicky. How dare they trade her around... for fish. Aik continues, "Well i don't know... She is a pretty big girl now... and demands a pretty big fish... tell you what. Bring me a salmon about the size of her. And ill call it a deal!" he laughs. Venei begins to get teary eyed. And run over to Aik, latching onto his arm, "No daddy. No rent me out! I is be good... Please!" She begins to cry. Aik picks her up and hugs her, "Oh no! I wasn't ever going to rent you out. Your my little darling! I will always have you by my side...." he tries to console the little one.
Flicktail says, "Thats Right Venei, yer Uncle Flicktail will make sure ye always be near yer dad......Would Oi brings ya all this nice stuff if oi ye wern't me princess?"
Flicktail waits to see if they can console Venei "there not be a Fish big enough in e whole world ta be worth YOU Princess
Aikuen pats his daughter on the back, "Is okay. See. We will never be apart. Ever. You my little angel from heaven. Just like your sister... and you mum. " he chuckles. Venei sniffs and glances up at dad, "Reallies?" Aik smiles and nods, "Ayeaye! Miss Vee..." she smiles a bit, glancing back to flicky, "Reallies..." she hrms looking down. Aik says, "Aye. really. Now go back to flicky. He misses you!" Venei smiles a bit, slowly going back over to flickytail, "I dont know... ima preatty small fishy!" now she is in the joke.
Flicktail asks, "small? why yer as big as at pond, ye scare me when ya pounces me" he smiles and offers a candied nut"
Venei hops into his lap, "I knows... I is a big fishy." she giggles, "U is bigger! How could i scares you?" she asks. Like, what kinda question is this!
Flicktail says, "well because you be a Big Gel.... size arn't everthings ya knows..just don't you never thinks yer Da would ever gives you up....me neither, we woudl move e WHOLE world to find ya"
Venei smiles and plops her head in his fur, slowly nibbling on the nut, "I is the smallest ottery here..." Chris takes the medal for smallest beast here, "...Really..." she buries her head in his fur, "That's good. I don't want to be traded. I want to stay right here. With daddy... and mummy... da whole famiry... forebers..." she mmmms happily.
Flicktail says, "well..would ya visit me some times inna Abbey?"
Venei smiles and says, "Of course sillies! I will visits all da time... And i will bring my sisters. And my own families..." Aik tilts his head at that.
Flicktail smiles "Oi like that, Oi will show ya ta Martin
Venei tilts her head, "Martin? Likes in the stories! Is he still arounds? He must be like... a bagillion years old!" she points out, reaching for another shrimp.
Flicktail says, "yep just loikes at...and I'll tell ye all about Constance Badger"
Venei bounces up and down, "Oh oh! I know that! She was the one... in... With... Mathias... Is she still around toos?" The otters have been teaching Redwall history. As much as they know anyway.
Flicktail says, "just on e big Tapistry"
Venei's ears go back a bit, "Oh..." The concept of life and death is still new with her, "So... She isnt around anymores... Just on the big picture huh?" she nods, "She is still here though..."
Flicktail nods "aye....that be right....but Oi think e Father Abbot can teach ya better en me
Venei's ears go back to their perky-ness, "Oh good. And who is the abbots?" she glances to dad, who says, "Abbot Lormis..." he nods. Venei blinks, "Oh... Okay. What will he teaches me?"

Aikuen says, "I remember when Nicodemus was abbot... Heh. That was a time ago..." he feels so old. Venei glances back and forth, "Im sure he is nices. Wouldnt makes him abbots withouts it!" she giggles.
Flicktail says, "yea but Venei's gottabe careful..when she be sad Oi be sad" he smiles and tickles her"
Venei uffs an starts to giggle and laughs loudly trying to get away from the fox, "Oh noes! Helps me daddy!" "Sorry honey. I cant do that... Or else i might tickle you as well!" he laughs. Venei contiunes to laughs loudly, "Okays! No more saddies!" she hrms.
Flicktail smiles and snuggles the dibbun "Oi love er Aikuen.... she got me heart
Aikuen smiles, leaning back, "I love her too. Ever since Fira told me that she was pregnant with them... I'd loved them... They are my life..." he grins. Venei's rudder slowly goes back and forth, "... I feel so loved!" she jokes.
Flicktail blows rasberries on her hummy again
Venei arghs and tries to push the fox away, "Ack! Not again! I is not a blowing otter!" she tries to say between giggles.
Flicktail says, "ye sounds like a Gigglin otters"
Aikuen chuckles, "Maybe she is both! Keep at it flicky. Almost wore her down already!" Its pretty obvious. Venei is getting quite tired of it all. And she lessens her fight against the fox. Beginning to pant.
Flicktail cradles her in his arms and begins rocking her "Ye gonna have ta let me meet at swan sometimes...
Venei curls up in his arms. Her rudder touching the tip of her nose. Nap time for the little one. At least she is going to try. Aik nods, "Oh sure. But perhaps when she is awake. Might be less of... well... rippy-apart-ness. Take Venei with us as well. The swans doesn't hate dibbuns as all it seems... Silly swan if you ask me."
Flicktail says, "aye neck be all funny"
Aikuen chuckles, and makes sure the swan isn't listening. That would suck, "Aye. And the orange beak! And what's with the little black part between its eyes and nose?" he shakes his head, "Better just be quite about things like that..." He don't want to risk it.
Flicktail says, "aye well er feathers look noice and comfy" he rocks the dibbun gently"
Aikuen nods a bit, "Aye. That they do. That they do. But. I think asking her for her feathers might be a bit much! Just saying, you know." he smirks at them, "Aw. Aint that cute!" he grins. Venei hrms in her nappy nap. Very comfy. Right where she is.
Flicktail says, "just gotta know ow ta work em" he smiles"
Aikuen smiles, "... Hey. I know how. Your fur is softer though... Gives you an edge. I have all this ottery fur!" he chuckles, "Cause im an otter! Heh... Im so glad that they are happy. You know. One thing i could have in life... to make thier lives good..."
Flicktail says, "darn right me fur be softer" he winks"
Flicktail takes the dibbun to her bed
Aikuen sticks out his tongue, "Well... It is. I cant help it. You cant help it! We were just born that way. But i have an edge as well... Im her father!" he smirks, "See yah, you too." he waves them goodbye before leaning back to take a little nap.
