On The First (Full) Day of Spring - part one

Location: Moledeep

Moledeep: Mole Hall

Aikuen is in mole hall today. Doing some of his chores. The last of the season! What joy of joys. There is no more snow! Its all gone! And now the otter can go outside once more. But still work to do before that. Ella is helping him dust and pick up a random assortment of things. Well she is more of playing with the duster, while Aik does the work. Its okay though.

"I feel so left out. I'm the only old one here not married yet." Robin says to Kentar as the two stoats come in. "Haha. You should feel lucky. No one nagging you to do things." Kentar winks with a laugh. Robin laughs too before smiling at the otters, waving at them. "Hey there!"

Aikuen turns his attention toward the stoats, "Heyo you two." he looks at Robin, "I see your back in... Somewhat perfect health." he chuckles at the stoats appearance, "Fell down a trench or something?" he chuckles a bit more. Ella is too in tuned with the feather duster off to the side to care, or notice the others.

Robin rubs over his broken wrist lightly before he shrugs. "Yeah, actually. But its fine." he smiles with a chuckle. "And you look alright I suppose. What happened? Did you have a run in with a set of shears?" he laughs a bit with a grin. Kentar laughs pats his son on the shoulder. "Good one." )

Aikuen nods, "Ah. Well. Accidents happen i guess..." he then runs his paw through his hair, "What?" Not getting the joke. He supposes he doesn't look different. But that's just him.

Kentar huhs and laughs a bit. Robin does the same, shaking his head slowly. "It was a joke, Aik. Never mind." he smirks before the two stoats head for somewhere to sit down. "So. How are you today?" they ask.

Aikuen still blinks at them, "Joke? What Joke? Tell me!" Or else he will never get it. He ergs at them before shrugging, "Its okay. So far at least." he chuckles, "And you guys?"

Kentar waves away the talk of jokes as they are asked how they are. "We're doing good, thanks." Robin agrees with a nod. "But my wrist hurts a bit. Other then that, yeah, fine."

Aikuen nods heading over to nudge Ella with his footpaw, "Having fun?" "Yep!" He snorts going to pick her up, "Well good then. Except for the wrist part. Need a brace or something?" he asks, walking over.

Robin huhs and smiles, nodding a little bit. "That would be good, thanks." he nods again. "But you can wait till later if you want." Kentar hrms. "If its bothering you, you should get it braced sooner rather then later." he nods. )

Aikuen nods at at Kentar as he starts to bounce Ella. She starts to Whoh, everytime. Aik says, "Kentar is right. The more its like that. The more you might not be able to use it later." he points out.

Kentar nods and chuckles a bit. "Yeah. You should get it done soon, Robin." he nods. The other stoat just nods a bit and smiles lightly. "Alright. Thanks I guess." he replies before looking to the others.

Aikuen nods, "Good. Now when I get it done. I'll put it on yeh. Shouldn't take to long." just a brace after all. He nods toward the Infirmary, "Come on then you lumps!" he chuckles.

Kentar chuckles a little and grins. He pats Robin on the shoulder before standing and heading for the infirmary. Robin nods and follows. "You really don't need to worry. I've had broken bones before. Its actually quite common for me for some reason."

Aikuen heads off after them, "Ah. Its not the bones I'm worried about. Its your muscles. But your young and would probably heal nicely either way." he enters the infirm and plops Ella on cot. She goes nuts, and starts to run around the room. Aik shakes his head at her before continuing, "But this is just to be safe."

Moledeep: Infirmary

Kentar and Robin burst out laughing at Ella as she runs around. Robin sets himself down on a bed and looks around. "I hate infirmaries." he chuckles a little bit. Kentar grins. "I've been in one quite a bit. You get used to them.

Aikuen goes over to the cabinet and pulls out a few things from the bottom where the more hefty supplies lie, "I hate em too. But like Kentar. Its kinda like a second home after awhile. Which is pretty sad when you think about it." he heads back over with some sticks and bandages, throwing them on the bed. Ella ooos and steals one of the sticks before running around again, "Hey!" Aik frowns and chuckles.

"Yeah, I agree. In fact, its really sad." Robin replies before laughing loudly at the little otter. "Haha. I think she wants a brace too." he nods with a smirk. Kentar chuckles and shakes his head. "I really doubt that."

Ella runs around with the stick. Hitting things like pillows, cots, and even the basin with a loud 'bong'. Aik says, "No. I don't think so. I think she just wants the stick, for sticks sake." "My stick!" Ella frowns before running under the bed and giggling. Aik shakes his head before turning back to the stoat, "Well. I still have enough for the brace. Hold out your paw..."

Kentar smiles a bit at the little one running around. "Just be careful with that Ella. Might poke someone's eye out!" he hrms. "That would be bad for me. I only have one eye." he chuckles a bit. Robin smirks and then nods, holding out his paw. "Oh no! Please don't chop it off!" he says, eyeing Ella. "It wasn't me who took your stick! Please don't punish me! I know stick thieves get their paws cut off, but please! It wasn't me!" he grins, wondering if Ella will give back the stick.

Aikuen rolls his eyes at Robin, "Oh please..." he says placing a few sticks around the stoats paw and measuring it with the bandage. Ella peaks out from under the bed, and her ears go back, "Paws cut off?" she frowns slightly and slowly walks over placing the stick in Robins lap, "I tooks the stick. Dont choppa his paw. I did it..." she looks down and starts to go teary.

Robin huhs a bit and looks at Ella. "Oh don't worry Ella." he smiles, patting the bed next to him if she wants to join him. "He's not going to chop my paw off." he says. "But where I come from, taking something someone was going to use isn't a good thing." he nods. "How about this. If you give me back the stick, I'll make you a brand new doll. Or something." he hrms.

Ella huhs going to sit next to the stoat, looking up at her with those big ole brown eyes of hers, "I just wanted the stick... I didn't mean to take it. There was alots. And... There it was. So i tooks it." Ella leans against him, "You can haves the sticks. I don't wants it no more." she hrms, "Dolly?" she asks. Aik nods, glad that its been taking care of. He slowly start to wrap the paw, from the forearm to the claws. Locking the sticks in place.

Kentar grins at Robin but sits quietly back. "You can't just take things that are there." he says softly as Aik works on his arm. "Its not a nice thing to do." the stoat nods, putting his arm around her lightly. "You should ask before you take something that isn't yours. But yes. A dolly." he chuckles. "That way, you won't need any stick."

Ella still looks up at him. She already has a figurine. And of course there is always the Venei has a doll scenario. But hey. Something that she can claim as hers. And NOT get into trouble. What a deal. She nods hugging as much of his middle that she can, "YAY! Tanks Robby... No more takes stuffs... Without permission" Wonder how long that is going to last. Aik wraps the bandage around his thumb, "Hows that? Can you move your wrist at all?"

Robin smiles and hugs back her tightly as she hugs him. "Good to hear." he nods, smiling. "Thanks Ella." the stoat then huhs as Aik speaks. He tries and then shakes his head. "Not...really, no." )

Aikuen nods, "Good. That's exactly what i wanted to hear. Need to keep your wrist like that for a week or so. Then well see from there." he taps his thumb, "And don't you dare loosen it, or im gonna find you!" he chuckles. Ella hmms at the hugs before jumping off the bed. Aik then hands her one of the leftever sticks, "Here. You can have this one." She smiles but shakes her head, starting to run around the infirm again. Aik frowns, "Well. That's new"

Kentar smiles as Ella starts to run around. "See! Robin taught her something good." he smirks and nods. "Alright, I wont. Besides, not like I couldn't handle you even if I wanted to fiddle." he nods a bit.

Aikuen chuckles at Robin, patting him on the shoulder, "Right you are matey. No touchy till i says so. Or Feel the wraith of Aik!" he snorts then looks toward the crazy little otter, "Good. We have always taught her not to steal. Guess it took the mention of losing paws to finally let it sink in." he chuckles.

Kentar chuckles a little. "Yeah. Probably. It took Chris a little while to figure him out. I told him stories of what dad used to do to me when I stole. He stopped pretty quick." he smirks a bit. Robin laughs and nods. "I know what you mean. Bale wasn't...the best of father figures either."

Aikuen nods, "From what you guys told me. I could believe it." That's all he is going to say on that matter, "Well. Glad it got settled without too much fear or tears. That's what i was afraid of." Its really hard to do otherwise.

Kentar chuckles and nods at his son. "I think he avoided that." he smirks a little bit with a hrm. "Anyways. At least we're good parents. Means that I can do this." he grins and looks towards Ella, pulling out a shiny coin. "Well now! Look at this shiny thing!" he grins. "Its really, really shiny! I think I can see myself in it." Robin adds, eyeing the young otter. "I sure wish I could find someone who would like something shiny..."

Aikuen watches Kentar with the coin, "Ummm... Kentar. What are yah doing..." he asks with a smile. Ella stops running around and tilts her head at the coin, slowly walking toward it. Aik snorts at Robin, "Heh. As i was telling Kentar... Nevermind." he laughs.

Kentar grins and flicks the coin up into the air with his thumb, but instead of catching, he 'mistakenly' lets it fall. It bounces and then rolls somewhere random. "Oh my! Look what I've done! Well, I guess whoever finds it, is the one who gets to keep it." he grins. Robin chuckles a little and then tilts his head at Aik. "What were you telling him?" he asks.

Aikuen look at Robin and shrugs, "Oh. Just why you were taking so long to get back here from your errand. I just said that you..." he shakes his head, "It was nothing. Really..." he smirks before looking back to the coin fiasco. Ella watches the coin roll under one of the cots. She slowly goes over and gets it. looking at it with bright eyes, "Ooo..." she hrms at it, confused.

Robin tilts his head. "That I what?" he asks. "Come on, you can't just start and then finish!" He frowns. Kentar just grins at Ella and nods. "Oh Ella! You found it! I guess you can keep it." he nods with a smile. He knows she's got no idea what it is other then that its shiny

Aikuen chuckles and shrugs, "Well okay. I know i shouldn't say anything." he leans in closer, "I said, the reason why you are so late because you had found a mate..." he snickers. Ella looks at the coin then at the stoat, "I cans?" she grins, and then frowns, "What is its?" she asks turning it over in her paws.

Kentar smiles and nods before laughing. "Its a coin." he nods. "You can use it to buy something. Or to make as a decoration. Looks pretty doesn't it?" he smiles. "I'll even show you how to play a game with it later on." Robin then blinks and starts to laugh. "Me? Haha, no." he nods. "Not yet anyways." the stoat smirks.

Ella ohs at the stoat still flipping it around, "Its shinnies..." she hrms happily. Going over to a cot, plopping down and still watching it. Aik smirks at him, "Hey. Why not." he chuckles.

Robin smirks a little bit and reaches out to give Aik a light shove with his good arm. "Well. I have been thinking about it but I think I'm staying here for a little while. I've had enough travel for now." he nods. )

Aikuen nods and rubs his arm, "Hehehe! I was just saying. You are of age, after all" he winks, "But aye. It will be nice to have you around again. Kentar might stop complaining..." he laughs.

Robin nods. "I have been for a few seasons, if you haven't noticed." he smirks a little bit. The stoat chuckles and shakes his head. "But in any case, I haven't found a mate yet. And I probably wont for a while." )

Aikuen says, "I know I know. Just pointing it out. And you never know. The world is crazy on how the world works and turns... to bad that Hannah left..." he smirks.

Robin seems to droop at the mention of Hannah's departure. "Yeah." he then hrms slightly and shrugs. "Maybe she'll be back. Only time shall tell.

Aikuen nods a bit, "She might. She was in a state when she arrived here. Possible. Anyway. Sorry for brining that up..." he stands heading over to his daughter, "... I was just thinking aloud." and plop goes the otter. Ella whohs still gripping the coin.

Robin nods and then stands. "Anyways. Thanks for fixing up the wrist." he smiles before waving and heading off. Kentar hrms and waves before looking towards Aik. "Robin liked Hannah. First real friend he's had in a long time. That isn't family I mean." he smirks

Aikuen waves the stoat leaves, "See yah..." then to Kentar, "Aye. I could tell that he liked her. To bad she left and..." he makes the motion of a big belly, "Hopefully she is alright... Maybe its time."

Kentar nods. "Yeah. Probably. She'll be back I'm sure after everything is done and over with." he hrms. "But anyways." he hrms. "I'm sure he'll get that lonely feeling sooner or later." he hrms a bit. "I was thinking." he starts, figuring to change the subject. "How would you like to go on a tiny little trip." he smiles. "A camping trip to be exact." The stoat grins. "I think maybe it would be a cool way to celebrate the passing of winter."

Aikuen nods at the change of subject. Its too depressing to talk about. He then tilts his head at the stoat, "You know you never have to ask me twice for camping!" he chuckles, "It sounds like a great idea. Where too?" he asks, sounding really excited.

Kentar grins a little bit and hrms. "I'm not sure. I was thinking Robin and I could scout out somewhere in Mossflower." he nods. "Or somewhere to the north. Since its further away from Anba." he nods.

Aikuen shrugs, "Well. Wherever mate. After having tunnel fever for so long. I'm ready for anything. I'm ready to be outside again." tunnel is no place for an otter, "Ill leave the details up to you" he chuckles, "So... When would we go?"

Kentar nods and then hrms. "Well. I want to talk to the newest happy couple in Moledeep about it." he smirks. "And. Well, there was something else I wanted to talk to you about." he nods. "Bit of. Bad stuff this time, but it can wait till later. Its not really important."

Aikuen nods a bit, "Of course. But I don't think it would matter too much to one of them." You know who, "... Bad stuff? Oh? What is it Kentar? I hate it when you say stuff like that. What's wrong?" he frowns slightly, he wants to know.

Kentar nods. "Yeah, probably." he then hrms. "Well. I never actually told you what errand I sent Robin on." he nods. "Thought you should know. But for the love of seasons, keep it to yourself." he frowns. "Promise?"

Aikuen stands up slowly and puts Ella on the ground, "Go and find your mum little darling. Go show her your new coin" Ella smiles and hugs her dad before running out of the infirmary giggling and waving the shiny thing. Aik smiles softly at her before turning back to Kentar, "I'm not sure yet. But ill try... Where did Robin go?" he says, crossing his arms.

Kentar hrms. "The vermin city of Izmir." he nods. "I sent him after Anba. Little plan I have actually. Should work if we're lucky." The stoat smirks then quickly raises a paw. "I know what your going to say. Am I nuts for sending my own son to what could have been his death? Well. He volunteered for it. And so far, from what he reported, my plan might work."

Aikuen blinks heavily at the stoat, "The what in the what now?" he almost barks. He takes a deep breath to let the stoat finish. he then nods, "This was very... How could you let him..." he rubs his eyes, "I'm going to put beating you aside for now.... What is it that you were planing" The otter frowns deeply.

Kentar hrms. "Give me a break, will you? If this works, we can hide away and let the rest of Mossflower deal with him." he nods. "Robin requested the fox's help in killing us. But, of course, he didn't agree to it. So, Robin came back to kill us. So. In a day or so, Robin is going to go into the woods to meet a messenger to send Anba a letter stating that we're all dead, our home has been burned to the ground, and that he's going back to the eastern shore to go pirating. And if we're lucky, Anba will believe it, and let us all be." he nods. "Just trust me on this. Anba never met Robin beforehand so there wasn't a worry of him found out right away. And he said that he was but covered that I actually killed his father and lied to him all this time." he gasps for breath after his long speech. "Trust me. Please." he nods.

Aikuen pulls at his chin fur, still with a deep frown, "I hope for our sake that this did work..." he sighs, "Its a good plan. There was just too many risks... I'm glad Robin is back and safe... I will not hurt you, nor tell anyone..." he blinks, "But... Next time rethink what your doing..."

Kentar nods. "Trust me, I tried to convince Robin to stay after I had mentioned the plan, but he insisted that he go. I couldn't stop him." he nods. "But trust me, once the letter and the small package arrive, it will be fine." he nods.

Aikuen nods a bit and has to sit back down, "Okay..." he rubs his eyes, "... Small package?" he asks slowly.

Kentar nods. "Just some small things that Anba might like." he smirks. "Namely a ring that looks like my wedding ring. Hope it will be proof enough we're dead." he hrms. "But anyways. There isn't any risk anymore, so you can be happy, okay?" he smiles. "Camping! Come on, that has to make you happy."

Aikuen nods a bit, "I hope. Still doesn't mean we can let our guard down... And if it does work. Then i will be happy. REAL happy." he chuckles finally and says. "Yah... Camping does make me happy, I love camping..." he smiles.

Kentar nods and smiles. "Don't worry, it will work. And yes. So do I. Then again, the last time I was camping was many seasons ago before I met you guys." he nods. "Wasn't fun then but should be great fun now!" He smiles brightly

Aikuen laughs, "Last time was with me and Fira. It was awesome. Sleeping under the stars, getting our own food. Lake all ourselves. All while camping... I love it. And with me. You will love it too!" he grins. Glad to get that other matter put away.

Kentar chuckles a little bit and nods. "You know." he grins. "That should be what we do. We should go out there and go camping without anything." he grins. "Make it really camping. Besides, there's lots out there we can find to eat. If you know where to look." he smirks.

Aikuen looks a bit surprised, "You can do that. I'm bringing my pack, and food. You go ahead and starve yourself and sleep under the branches." he chuckles, "I'm no scavenger as well. Unless you point it out. Sides. Its supposed to be fun. And looking for food all the time just doesn't sound like it." he laughs.

Kentar laughs and smirks. "Wimp!" he chuckles then nods. "Yeah, I suppose so. Besides, I think Garnet and Chris would kill me." he nods.

Aikuen sticks his tongue out at the stoat, "Ive done the whole live off the land thing. I'm done with it. But i'm not gonna stop you. Have fun, ill say." he snorts, "Well yah. They might just eat yah after you cant find anything." he grins stupidly.

Kentar chuckles. "No no no. We'd just capture Venei and Ella and then trade them off for real food that you brought." he smirks and then hrms. "I suppose we should bring our own food. But you get to carry it!"

Aikuen snorts, "Heck no. Im' carrying for my Family. Your gonna carry it for your family. And Will, if he comes, will carry it for his new family. We all share the work. You don't carry. You don't eat." he chuckles evilly, "And don't you dare. Or else i might have to do the same thing With Chris. And we're otters... we eat alot!" he grins.

Kentar grins and sighs. "Fine, fine fine." he then hrms a little bit, looking around to see if any of the rats are present. "I wonder when and if Amy will have any young ones of their own." he grins. "Can you imagine? Will and Amy as parents." he laughs.

Aikuen gulps a few times, "No i cant imagine. Nor do i want too." Its his fatherly right too, and that's all he will really say on the matter. He hrms loudly going to put the stuff he used on Robins wrist away.

Kentar laughs a little and nods slowly. "Will I think would make a great father. Amy. Well. I don't know. She has a way with dibbuns, but I'm not sure how her own would take to her." he chuckles.

Aikuen sighs, "Will would make an good father. Not a bad one, and certainly not a evil one. Will would be better than most. And Amy. I don't wont to even think about. My little ones like her. But only sometimes. Amy... is not very stable. From what i hear." he hrms putting the bandage in the bandages drawer.

Kentar nods a little bit. "Well. We're here to keep her..." he pauses. "...stable." the stoat chuckles slightly. "But really. I wonder what it will be like." he scratches his head.

Aikuen shakes his head, "I... Don't want to think about it... I really don't." he dusts his paws and nods toward the door, "I have other chores to do mate. But keep me posted on that Camping thing..." he smiles before heading for the door and back to find his feather duster.
