Old Otters Play Tag?
Characters: Robin, Kentar, Chris, Aikuen
Location: Moledeep; Pond
Its the evening now at the pond of Moledeep, and unlike usual, its POURING RAIN. And I mean raining. A lot. But its warm rain. Its nice and warm out too with very little wind. And the stoats are like otters today. Kentar, Robin and Christopher are in their swimming shorts, playing about in the rain, and the pond. They're playing tag it seems, and Chris is trying to catch the older stoats, both of whom are trying to lose him in the pond.
Stoats are like otters? Well. Otters. Are being. Like otters today! Go figure. Aikuen comes into the scene with a few little otters. Sorta. They are kinda in the background playing in muddy puddles. Leaving Aik to his own devices. He watches the stoats play before commenting, "Well lookie here! 3 funny looking ducks!" he snorts.
Robin turns around towards Aik, smiling and waving as he just floats there now. "QUACK!" he grins with a nod, not spotting Christopher coming up behind him and tagging his shoulder. "YOUR IT!" Chris smiles before swimming away towards the shore, joining his dad as they climb out of the water and run away. "Hey Aik!" Kentar calls out. )
Aikuen laughs as he goes to lean against a nearby tree, "Hey stoats. Kentar Robin. Master Christopher. Having a little game are we?"
Robin climbs out of the pond after them and runs after Christopher. "Hey you, come back!" he grins, reaching out to try and tag him, but misses by in inch as the smaller stoat ducks out of the way as he nods to the otter. "Yep! We're playing tag! Wanna play?" he asks. )
Aikuen looks toward the little stoat, "I don't know. I'm not as spry as you youngsters. Ill think about it though." he nods and laughs.
Chris awws and hums. 'Please?" he asks, trying to put on his saddest face. Robin however, vanishes completely from view, Kentar chuckling for some reason. "Yeah, Aik, play!" he nods.
Aikuen snorts and rolls his eyes at the stoat, "Oh. Alright. But give me a bit of leeway. Alright?" he says, going to stop leaning against the tree.\
The father and son stoats look to each other and grin before Robin reappears behind Aik, tagging him firmly on the shoulder. "YOUR IT AIK!" Robin grins as he dashes off to join the other two stoats.
Aikuen blink and quickly looks behind him, "Hey! What the?" he grunts, "That sure was a lot of leeway!" he says as he starts to pump after the other two stoats, "You sneaky dirtclods! Come here!"
Chris grins as Kentar shakes his head, the three stoats together. Chris dives into the pond to try and escape while Kentar and Robin know better, running backwards away from Aik. "No!"
Otters have short legs. He can run fast. Just. Not real fast. So he grins when the stoat jump into the pond. Going after him in and elegant dive reaching out and going to hug him. If he can.
Chris huhs and looks behind him, letting out a yelp. He takes a deep breath and goes under, just barely avoiding Aik as he makes his way back to the shore. He's ALMOST as good a swimmer as Venei or Ella, thanks to having otter training!
Aikuen hugs... Nothing. He snaps his claws under the water. Going after the little stoat. Chris might be as good as Ella and Venei. Aikuen is a full grown male otter. And is much faster then the little stoat. But he lets them get ahead of him. He is baiting him!
Chris gets to the edge safely enough as he pulls himself out. Raindrops hit his eyes, causing him to blink and pause for a moment, giving Aik more then enough time to tag him. Kentar and Robin grin at each other, just standing and watching Aik and Chris for the moment, not too worried about getting caught at the moment.
Dun-Dun! Aik comes out of the water like a tidal wave reaching out and poking the stoat with his tail, "Honk! Your it Chris!" he laughs. Shaking the water from himself.
The little stoat huhs and blinks, looking at Aik as he shakes the water off. "H-Hey! No fair." he frowns, the stoat darting off after Aik again with a vengeful grin, arm out stretched at him.
Aikuen snorts, "Ut oh!" he jumps backwards in the water. So if the stoat wants to catch him. He better jump back in... In otter territory!
Chris stops at the water and looks down, frowning as he kicks a rock into the water at Aik. "Cheater!" He pauses and grins evilly, turning towards Robin and Kentar, darting after them. "Whoa!" The two let out as they run away from Chris but towards the water as well.
Aikuen laughs underwater for minute. Lauhing as the stoat wont follow him in. Aik then uses this time to jump out of the water again. Going to watch the stoat chases after the other stoats.
Chris grins and stops suddenly, turning sharply towards Aik and running as fast as his legs can carry him, throwing himself at the otter with a loud cry. "GERONIMO!"
Aikuen is not really prepared for this. I mean. He JUST got out of the pond. So all he musters to do is hold up his paws to wrap his arms around him, and yell out, "Ah-Holycrap!" very quickly. Before they both splash into the pond. Aik doing a blackflop.
Chris erks as Aik pulls him into the water, the stoat getting a nice big breath of air on his way down, grinning as he hums. He can't figure out how to say 'tag your it' underwater so he just taps Aik's shoulder over and over.
Aikuen sinks in the pond still holding onto the stoat. He looks at him underwater and then feels his shoulder being poked. He sighs and pokes him back. But... In the side. He does with a silly grin. Hoping to make the stoat laugh.
Chris erks at the poke and pokes back, trying his hardest not to laugh, even going so far as to bite down on his tongue, shaking his head as a no he wont laugh sort of motion.
Aikuen smirks at the stoat. Aik will make him! Oh yes. Aik can hold his breath for a long time. But knowing the stoat cant. He arises to the surface still trying to make the stoat laugh, "Come on Chris! Laugh for your godfather!" he still tries.
The stoat shakes his head finally bursts out laughing. He erks, letting his air out, and some water in, but he can't help it. He knows not to panic since Aik's got him, but still, he squirms a bit and tries not to laugh anymore.
Aikuen chuckles at the little stoat. Still trying to tickle him, "Heehehehe! Now. Who is it Chris?" he asks with a big ole grin splashed across his face.
Christopher just keeps laughing, squirming a bit more and pointing at himself, coughing once but other then that, just laughs and laughs. "M-m-me!!!"
Aikuen chuckles and is a bit concerned with the cough. Just one. Okay, good. He keeps tickling until the stoat gives up. So he stops and nuzzles the top of his head, "Cooooorect-o-mundo Chirs!" He smiles before releasing him back to the water. Aik loves Chris.
Chris grins and swims backward and takes a big breath. "Hehe..." he turns to look for the other two stoats before realizing they've gone back inside. 'Huh? Aww." he frowns a little bit and shrugs. Rain or no rain, he's staying out here. He likes the rain.
Aikuen snorts and looks around at the lack of other stoats, "Heh. Its just you and me then. Dont worry. Ill leave yah" he goes to lay on his back. Paws behind his head. Legs crossed as he putts around the pond with his rudder, "So. All ready for the trip? Only a few more days!"
Chris leans back on the shore of the pond and nods slowly, smiling brightly. "Yeah!" he replies with another nod. "I've never been on a ship before!" he nods again.
Aikuen laughs, "Never? Ohho! You are in a treat my godson. But don't worry! I wont push you off. Ill leave that to me." Yes. He will leave himself, to push himself off, "... So. How would you feel... To having another little otter around?" he asks. Been awhile since they just a talk to talk type of thing.
Christopher hums a little and tilts his head to one side. "Uh..." he pauses for a few moments. "There's gonna be another otter family around?" he asks, looking around the garden for a few moments.
Aikuen chuckles a bit as he rockets around, "Nah. Little mate. Me and Fira... Your godmother. We are trying to have another one. Though i promised her not anymore twins" he laughs, "I was just wondering what you would think about it?"
Christopher ohs a little and looks back to Aik, not quite sure what he means still. "Uh...I dunno." he then blinks. "Can you not get a girl? Get a boy." he nods once with a bright smile, obviously never having had that discussion quite yet but still, the thought of another Venei or Ella secretly drives him mad.
Aikuen nods, "Oh aye. I want a boy. But." he shrugs, "We might get another girl..." which he then looks over with an evil grin, "Ah, another otter girl for you to play with!" he laughs deeply, "But. Aye. A son..." he thinks about it. Before ohing, "Oh! I was supposed to do something for Fira..." he ergs and jump out of the pond, "Come on Chris. The sooner we get this done. Sooner we can come back" As he wont let the stoat be near water by himself. Specially when its raining.
Chris huhs and ohs, smiling with a nod. "Yeah!" he smiles. The stoat has a brother of his own, and would love to have an otter brother to play with too. He pulls himself out of the water and hops along next to Aik. "Okay!" he nods.
