Noooooooo, why did he DO that?! (Long Patrol Log in Salamandastron)
Salamandastron: Training Room
- -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Salamandastron *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
This is the training room for the hares of the long patrol. The walls
seem to have taken a severe beating, more than likely not from stray
arrows missing the archery targets. There are several of said archery
targets lining the west wall, each with small oak stands a good distance
off to hold arrows, hang a bracer, and rest a bow on. The targets are of
simple design: a large, tightly wrapped bale of hay with a coarse paper
target on the front. A wooden mannequin, in no better shape than the
walls, is in the northeastern corner of the room. Besides that, several
wooden practice swords sit in a small pile. On the eastern side of the
room is a small, makeshift wrestling arena consisting of two mattresses
tied together. Then on the southern side of the room is a fitness area,
assembled from several pull-up bars, and a nice padded area to do push up.
Narrow, cylindrical weights (both wooden and metal) are pushed up against
the wall, along with a few straight metal bars for them to be mounted on.

Visible Exits:
[Arm]ory [Out]
Hares: Baatar, male. Felicity, female. Taye, male.
Felicity has been in the armoury on desk duty. Oh, the ever accursed desk duty! The auburn-furred doe is sick and dead tired of stupid desks!! She has decided to take a quick break and stretch her muscles some, and so she comes hobbling into the Training Room from the adjoining Armoury. Leaning heavily on her crutch so as to not put any weight on her right foot, she looks around so see what's happenin'.
Baatar is doing some push ups and is getting much better at them as well as sit ups. He still needs to work on chin ups but that's for later.
Felicity watches him for a few minutes, then decides to talk to him. Stumping over, she sits slowly down on a stack of weights nearby. "You've improved since the last time I saw you, wot."
Baatar stands up and nods "Yes I am getting better and I am glad, I have also gotten better with the dirk, maybe I will be a warrior one day after all and a great one"
Well, Taye may have a broken leg, but that's no excuse for shirking one's duty! He crutches into the room with a gaggle of recruits and points to various sections of the room, assigning the lot of them to their tasks before dispersing them with a salute. Moving further into the room, the Major keeps half an eye on them while also noting those already present. He doffs an invisible hat to Felicity, smiling. "Aftahnoon." And to Baatar, as well. "Hullo."
Felicity spots her commanding officer and seems to shrink a little. Higher ranking hares have this affect on her. She salutes quickly and says, "Sah! I thought I'd take a break from desk duty, Sah....it's gets dreadfully boring, Sah." She hopes that he says nothing about her not standing....her ankle is still healing from its sprain.
Baatar nods as he stands up better "Hallo sur....tis good day?" He has been working out so he is a little tired but not so tired he will not at least try and look less tired.
Taye returns Felicity's salute, his eyes going a little squinty 'round the corners with amusement. "I'm not going t'bite you, lass. So long as you're not over-doin' it." To Baatar, he nods in agreement. "A good day, indeed. I trust your training's going well?" Brow quirk.
How are you supposed to respond to that?? Smiling slightly, Felicity manages to stutter out, "Oh...uh....well.....okay....er....I mean.....alright, Sah." She pulls her crutch a little closer and gets into a slightly less-uncomfortable position on the weights. Maybe she should've sat on the floor......
Baatar nods "Yes, ve...very well sir. I am doing better with the dirk now sur"
Taye stifles a chuckle, but just barely. "New rule, Felicity. You are /required/ to call me Taye. 'Tis obvious you need a crash course in tackling your nerves, so we're going t' throw you straight outta your comfort zone." He arches a brow. "And if you don't, I /may/ bite." His attention shifts to Baatar, as he leans to one side on his crutches. Giving the other arm a break. "Well, lad. Keep up the good work. I recommend gettin' some practice in on the bow. Invaluable, the bow is." And with that, he offers them both a sharp salute, leaning in confidentially. "I've got t'go save these recruits from themselves, now. Dreadful lack of skills, the lot of 'em. Wish me luck!" And with that, he turns and limps off, affecting a scowl as he approaches a group doing an absolutely /horrendous/ job of attacking a practice dummy. "Not like /that/...!" And off he goes.
Gah! First Ava, and now Taye, both higher ranking hares, have told her to call them by their first names. This is a disaster. Felicity rests her head in her paws and groans. This. is. terrible. She looks solemnly up at the Recruit. "Did ye 'ear 'im tell me to call 'im by 'is first name, or am I dreamin'?"
Baatar nods "He did...I may stick with sur and..." He frowns "Bow? Why would I need ta blooming learn the bow for?"
Felicity groans again. Noooooooo, why did he DO that?! She looks back up at the Recruit and shrugs. "I 'ave no idea. But, he's a Majah, so I suggest that ye do as 'e said." Leaning on her crutch, she slowly stands, smiling a little at him. "'Ere, I'll 'elp you. I'm not very good at archery, but I can get ye started."
Baatar frowns "I...well maybe, someday prehaps try the bow and arrow, but I like the dirk best so far"
And here Real Life called him away :( Ah, well. That's the way it is :P Thanks for reading! :D
