I think that per'aps you should consider bein' a Fightah.
Salamandastron: Armory
- -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Salamandastron *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
As a rule, the armory of Salamandastron is stocked well enough to outfit
almost twice as many troops as necessary. It is a large cavern with rows
and stacks and piles of mounds of armaments. There truly is enough
weaponry here to outfit an army: racks filled with spears, piles of well-
crafted fencing sabers in shining scabbards, rows of long, deadly-sharp
pikes, rows upon rows of stout bows, countless oiled quivers with true-
flighted and sharp-pointed arrows, a pile of axes and warhammers, rows of
thin chainmail... even a rack of heavy cutlasses sits near the back.
Every piece of Salamandaston weaponry is made locally, forged by the
skilled paws of a Badger Lord. Needless to say, every last piece of it is
of the highest quality.

[Fo]rge [T]raining [R]oom
Hares: Celina, female. Felicity, female.
Celina has only been here, well never, this is the first time as she looks inside the armory and the weapons and armor inside the room. She is alone today, no tag a longs.
Felicity is still on desk duty, what with her sprained ankle and everything, so right now she is sitting at the desk. This is probably one of the most boring jobs in the entire mountain, and so she brought something to do; drawing! She is right now sketching what looks like a badger, and it's not half bad. Not great, but also not bad. Glancing up as the door opens, she smiles and says, "Well, hello, there. Can I help you?"
Celina shrugs "I was just...someone said I could see wot kind a...weapons were here and try and get use ta one, if I am gonna join the patrol"
Felicity smiles a little more broadly and sets her charcoal pencil down. "Well, I can 'elp you with that, m'dear. Do you have a favourite weapon?" She stands, leaning heavily on her crutch. "When I was youngah, I liked any kind of sword best."
Celina says, "I...well I have used a dagger, well sort of. I am barely 7 seasons old so just at the right age to join, but as wot I don't know, I run fast but I can't really fight well."
Felicity stumps over to a weapons rack, gesturing for the younger hare to follow her. "Well, if you haven't had much training, then it would stand to rights that you wouldn't be very good ta fightin' yet, wot!" She picks up a dagger, looks over at the other doe, then puts the dagger back. "Per'aps you would do well as a Runnah, like me. What's your opinion of sick beasts and blood? Does blood make you woosy?"
Celina frowns, "Umm...I don't like blood, even my own, I fainted once when this one recruit shot his footpaw with an arrow, he was in the infirm to get an arrow out of his footpaw and I was there to...well recover from fainting."
Felicity nods. "Alrighty, then, bein' a Healer is definitely not for you. Here," she holds out a pair of small daggers. "Take these, 1 in each paw, and get into a fightin' stance, please." She smiles encouragingly.
Celina takes the daggers and gets into a semi good fighting stance, it's not perfect but it's not the worse either.
Felicity nods again. "Very good! Where'd ya learn that? It's not 'alf bad, m'dear. Not perfect or anythin' by any means, but good." She grabs a spear and leans it against the weapons rack that they're standing by as she waits for the young doe's answer.
Celina smiles as she stands "Me father is a fighter in the LP...my mother helps in the kitchens."
Felicity raises an eyebrow, then suddenly grabs the spear with her left paw and starts jabbing at the younger hare. "C'mon, love, I wanna see whatya got! On guard!" The Private is quite capable of this sort of thing, even with her injury and seeming unsteadiness.
Celina steps backwards quickly and almost falls, she keeps the two daggers out in front of her and keeps a close eye on the other hare, one thing her father did teach her is never take your eyes off a beast your training with or possibly fighting.
Felicity smiles encouragingly. "Good, keep lookin' at me! Now block!" she goes to rap the other hare smartly on the thigh, then goes to jab her in the chest. Fortunately, the auburn doe is going after her student with the butt end of the spear, so no harm shall come to her.
Celina barely manages to block the spear, and almost falls backwards doing so. She frowns but keeps her eyes on Felicity.
Felicity frowns slightly. "Well, I misspoke. Don't just look at /me/.....look at ALL of me, and my weapon. Try to predict my next move. You're doin' really good!!" She hobbles forward a couple steps and feints at the younger hare's right shoulder, then goes to whack her on her right hip.
Celina nods and watches but the feint dos work and she is tricked, she yelps as the flat area of the spear hits her hip and backs up slowly, limping just slightly.
Felicity immediately pulls back the spear and leans on it. "I say, are you alright? I didn't mean to hurt you, I'm sorry." A look of genuine concern crosses her face, and she leans the spear against the wall. "Are you alright?"
Celina nods slowly "Just...little sore and I know, would a be bally well worse if was a vermin"
Felicity smiles and hobbles over to the younger hare. She goes to rest a paw on her shoulder as she says, "Actually, I wasn't gonna say that at all, dear. What I /was/ goin' to say is that I think you did /very/ well. I think that per'aps you should consider bein' a Fightah. Now, I 'aven't seen ya run, so I don't know 'ow fast ye are, but from what I've just seen, I think you might be Fightah material, wot!"
Celina smiles "You..think so?"
Felicity nods, still smiling. "Aye, I do. You did very well, and you were quick to listen to my instruction. I think your potential has no bounds." She then stumps back to the desk and sits down, gesturing the other doe over. "Now, while we're in a bit of privacy, I'd like to talk to you about your seagull friend. Now," and she holds up a paw, "you're not in trouble with me for having a friend seagull. I think it's perfectly alright. I just want to find out a bit about....him?" She thinks Seaweed's a male, but she's not sure.
Celina frowns and starts to back out of the room, "He...didn't do anything wrong, and I had him go back outside this morning, he stays close by though."
Felicity is quick to reassure her, saying, "I don't think 'e did, love. I think it's a good thing for 'im to be your friend. May'ap if more gulls were friends with 'ares, we wouldn't 'ave to worry about them attackin' us. What's 'is name? 'E seemed like a very nice little gull when I saw 'im yesterday. 'Ow long 'ave you 'ad 'im?" She's smiling kindly, and looks very NOT mad at the younger doe.
Celina smiles "His name is Seaweed, there was a really bad storm like 5 seasons ago...I was a little over 2 seasons then and ventured out since my parents were going to help some beast in the village nearby and I seen a birds nest and some cracked eggs, well one wasn't cracked and so I put it in my backpack...welll, ummm...later that night it hatched and since then Seaweed follows me around and sometimes calls me Mama"
Felicity smiles, resting her arms on the desk and lacing her fingers together. "How sweet! He might come to understand that you're not actually 'is mother eventually. Does he usually stay outside the mountain?"
Celina nods "He has been, sort of made to be outside by mom and dad the past season, he was inside allot. He can fly and he knows to hide from beasts he doesn't know"
Felicity nods thoughtfully. "Hmm......well, that's good. Per'aps......perhaps we could spend time outside together with him and my baby sistah. I'm sure they'd be great friends, and I think you should be allowed to spend time with 'im so 'e wont' get lonely and hide under the dining room tables."
Celina shrugs "Maybe...I think will check on him, talk to you later" She then rushes off after placing the daggers down.
