DOOMED! We're all doomed! (A Ferravale Log)

This is probally one of the busy areas of Ferravale during mid-day as a couple shops are here selling there wares and an area set for fruits and veggies to be sold and other goods from carts and stands.Guards wander by many times to help keep the peace and make sure laws are not broken. The area is well kept and keep clean. You can stay a while or head back to the center of town.

Zee the badger. Blisa the cat, Ferdinand the ferret, Clarissa the rat, Valerie the vixen.
Zee is out and about for the first time since he has been back to Ferravale, he looks to be getting some tea and also some veggies for later that day. The market place is not too busy right now.
Blisa comes from the housing area, trailed by Valerie the vixen, Clarissa the rat, and Ferdinand the ferret. The bodyguards are dressed in their uniforms, and the young cat is wearing black leggings, tunic, and boots. They spot the badger, and the feline leads the way over to him, smiling. "Hello! Good day to go shopping, isn't it?" The guards look like they're expecting trouble, and are looking around nervously.
Zee shrugs "I suppose so." He looks at the gathered guards and asks, "Wot is it with all the beasts on edge? Seems a quiet sort of day today or least so far."
Blisa nods. "Aye, so far. But we've been having some trouble with beasts spreading rumours about the end of the world, and we're having a few difficulties with our guards, so my bodyguards are a bit on the nervous side as of late."
Zee nods "I'm too old to worry about too much and rumors are rumors and usually end up being found out to be such." He pays for some apples and nods to the rat at the stand, it seems the village beasts don't care too much about the badger, that or they just are wise to not bother him.
Blisa shrugs. "I'm not too worried about it, either, but it's their job to worry about my safety, so I let them." Ferdinand sighs as a very old and tiny male rat in the middle of the square starts shouting, "DOOMED! We're all doomed! The village of Ferravale is spiraling to its doom because of its greed and avarice! Justice will fall upon us in the shape of an eagle if change does not occur!!" Valerie sighs as a small crowd begins to gather around the rat. "There's another one. Won't they ever stop??" Clarissa shakes her head. "'Fraid not, messmate. The villagers are frightened outta their minds by that eagle."
Zee nods, he blinks "Eagle? Wot be all this talk of an eagle? A eagle won't bring the end of the world, unless you anger one then it could be your end of the world so never make an eagle an enemy"
Blisa throws her paws up in frustration. "I have no idea! Many of the beasts here are seeing the golden eagle that lives North of here, and who killed our Head Guard, is a sign that we are too greedy and doomed for destruction. I think they're all crazy." Ferdinand shakes his head. "I'm inclined to agree."
Zee says, "I have an eagle I am a friend to, but its not him as he headed to the western sea shore, I thought of going there to see the ocean, a sort of thing to do before I get too old to travel, see the ocean before I die, could be a neat place"
Blisa and her bodyguards strive to ignore the rat and let the city guards who have arrived arrest him and drag him to the holding cell. The cat shakes her head, saying, "Oh, no, the eagle we're talking about is female." Clarissa smiles a little wistfully. "Aye, the ocean is a beautiful place. I kinda miss it, lemme tell ya."
Zee says, "I have yet to see it, I have seen the snowy northlands and I have seen a lot of Mossflower, but not the coastlands areas of the west...oh well, maybe one day" He frowns "I...may have a reason to, but then again it's best to stay here"
Blisa goes to lay a paw on his arm. "Oh, is it Zinnia? Yeah, I heard that she went there as the ambassador to Sala.....Salamandastron. Were you unable to talk to her before she left?"
Zee shakes his head "I think she hates me, she slammed a door in my face and I don't blame her. I was gone for too long and gone when she needed me most. I came over here and then found out she had left for that trip, well good luck to her I hope she is well."
Blisa listens, then gently says, "You have every right to feel bad about not being here. But it wasn't your fault, was it? You couldn't help not being here, could you?"
Zee says, "Me and some others got into a sort of...major fight with the now no more Frosted Arrow, the group is gone and its last member who knows where, its leader was killed"
Blisa nods. "Okay. So it wasn't your fault. I'm sure Zinnia will forgive you, probably before she even gets to the mountain, and then when she comes back she'll be open for you to explain to her what happened." Valerie smiles softly and adds, "I'm sure it'll all turn out fine."
Zee says, "well maybe she will send a letter of weather she got there ok or not, or maybe I could go there...hmmm or close to there anyways"
Blisa smiles. "Maybe she will. I don't know much about the area around there, but I'm sure there's a port city or something near the Mountain. If you decide to leave, will you let us know of your plans?" She asks this in a friendly sort of way, like she's requesting that he not worry her again.
Zee nods "Its not like I was given a choice" He sighs "Least I got back ok, can't say the stoat did."
"Oh, you mean Marek?" Blisa buys an apple from the vendor they're by. Valerie sighs. "Our Seer is working on something for him, I think, to help him regain his memories. I hope it works." Clarissa changes the subject slightly, saying, "I've never been to the Northlands. What's it like up there?"
Zee nods "I heard he was back but not himself and the northlands is very cold. A lot of ice and snow, it's why it doesn't bother me in winter"
Clarissa nods, rubbing her paws. "I used to sail around on the high seas, and me Captain tried to avoid the Northcoast. Said it was too bleak and dreary and lifeless for a sailor to worry 'bout." Valerie nods. "Our winters must not seem harsh at all to a beast from the Northlands such as yourself."
Zee shakes his head "I mean ya can get...a bit use ta the winters here, but not too much. I have yet to see winter here. heck maybe I will see winter elsewhere, who knows"
Blisa grins. "It snows a lot here in the winter. It's wonderful." Valerie chuckles. "Aye, especially if you're used to it." Clarissa shakes her head. "I prefer the warmer waters found in the Southlands, thanks. The cold is not my friend." Ferdinand laughs and lightly punches her shoulder good naturedly. "You'll get uthed to it, don't worry."
Zee grins "Snow is the best lass, me nephew loved it"
