The market place is rather busy today - beasts go hither and thither about on their daily business; the news of a new shop, a general store, opening soon has excited a few. Outside of that shop a small group move in and out carrying crates and the luggage, a rat directing where they go. Beside him sits a rather bored looking mouse eating an apple. "Oi!" Rutsnout shouts at one of the creatures, a ferret, who had dropped a box while trying to cross the threshold, "That's rather breakable, you know!"

Blisa has heard of the new store, too, and she decides to visit the business beast. She approaches the store with Ferdinand and a female rat (Clarissa) trailing behind. The ratess has a pair of baldrics on, supporting 13 throwing knives, and on a loop on her belt is a coiled bullwhip. The ferret has his sabre, as well as a recurve bow and a quiver of arrows. The cat comes up tot he male rat, her cloak pulled close about her. "Hello! Lovely day, isn't it?"

Rutsnout seems rather distracted at the moment, not noticing the cat and her guards. Instead, the mouse, Rork, stands, waving at them with a genuine smile. "Hello; aye, it is, isn't it?" As he speaks, Rutsnout, behind the mouse, lets out a stream of curses as another crate is dropped, landing on the rat's footpaw. The ferret looks rather sheepishly at Rutsnout, muttering an, "Er, sorry 'bout that." The other two beasts helping snigger, and Rork's grin grows wider. "Though my boss doesn't seem to be in that good of a mood today." More curses.

Blisa is absolutely unphased by the curses; she's hears alot in the tavern. Instead, she smiles and says, "Your helpers seems to have a bunch of butterfingers about them." Clarissa waves at the other rat and says, "Ahoy, there, matey, if y'need any new curses, I'm sure I could remember some from my time aboard ship to teach ye!" "Oh my heaventh..." Ferdinand covers his eyes in obvious frustration. Really? The cat just giggles. "So, how's your store comin'?"

"Oh, rather well, actually." Rork answers. "And, if truth be told," he adds, after a moment, "The ferret's the only one with butterfingers." There is another crash from inside proving his point, where the rat and ferret had disappeared into. And another yelp and more curses. The mouse turns to Clarissa. "I'm sure he'd like learning more. It gets rather repetitive after a while." He says, jokingly.

Zeb steps out of the spice shop and looks over at the beasts close to what seems like a new shop and wanders over slowly "Ello?" He asks calmly and watches silent for a little while "New shop?"

Clarissa laughs and goes to slap the mouse on the shoulder in a friendly way. "Harrharr, I like ye, matey. If yer boss needs some advice, I can 'elp when I'm not on duty." Ferdinand looks quickly over at Zeb, but for now just smiles. "Aye, a new thtore. I'm not thure about what they'll be thelling, though..." Blisa laughs and shakes her head. "Mayhaps you shouldn't allow him to carry fragile stuff..." as more curses erupt from inside the building, she adds, "Or maybe much of anything...."

Rutsnout exits, looking rather murderous. He glares at Rork and the others for a moment, before relaxing and leaning back against a crate. Noticing Blisa, he says, "Eh, hello. Sorry about all that cursing, miss..." Rork is slightly knocked when the rat slaps him, but he nods. "Aye, right..." He turns to Rutsnout. "Feeling better, eh?" the rat glares daggers again.

Zeb nods "Int'resting, then new stores always be a good thing I suppose. Mine sells spices and some hard to find herbs, even chocolate but I warn ya Chocolate is very very expensive"

Blisa waves a paw airily. "I've heard worse," she says cheerily. Clarissa tries to peek into the shop to see if the ferret is being a dork again. Ferdinand makes a mental note about the chocolate, then watches as the other rat is called away. The cat goes to sit on a crate. "I hope none of your wares have gotten broken...."

Rutsnout shrugs. "The things dropped weren't anything breakable." The mouse would add, "Well, besides that first one..." Rutsnout answers Rork, "Not my fault you hired butterfingers, mate." Rork laughs. "Right, I suppose so..." There's another loud sound from inside, at which Rutsnout pales and rushes in with a quick, 'Eh, excuse me!"

Blisa cringes. ".....soooo. Um. When do you think the store will, uh, be open?" She asks of the mouse to change the subject slightly. The bodyguards do their thing and watch the passing crowd, on the lookout for danger.

"In a few days, at most." Rork says, taking another bite of the apple. "Well, that is if the ferret can stop dropping stuff." He adds with a grin. Even more curses follow this then a loud clang rings out. The mouse looks up at the building, rethinking what he said. "Eh, maybe it'll be open in more like a week."

Blisa raises her eyebrows, her eyes wide. ".....perhaps you should fire the ferret...." Speaking of ferrets, Ferdinand bares his teeth at some loiterers that he's becoming suspicious of. They bid a hasty retreat.

Rork nods. "Oh, I'm rather sure that's what's happening right now." He says. Most of the crates and boxes have been moved indoors by now. He looks up at the sky for a moment, then down at the apple, taking another bite.

Blisa grins, but then her grin fades slightly. "Er, have either of you been to the tavern yet?" She asks politely. Ferdinand turns and sharply looks at her, but she ignores him. She also ignores Clarissa shaking her head to discourage the cat from saying whatever in the world she's thinking of saying.

The mouse raises an eyebrow. "Eh? Oh, yeah, I have." After a moment, he adds, "Though I don't think Rutsnout has... Why do you ask?" he asks, looking at the young cat.

Blisa stands, ignoring the urging of her bodyguards. "Well, don't let him go there, please. As Chieftain-In-Training, I'm asking you to not. Because.....Marek is the owner. Have a nice day." She walks off, with Ferdinand and Clarissa following closely behind, grumping at her in heated whispers.

Rork would stand there silently, holding an apple-core as they walk away. Finally, he calls after them, "Right! Will do - farewell to you!"
