Zolomon sat on a log by the firepit quietly looking over a scroll,he closes it and looks ready to take a nap.   

Elbio walks up, may as well get this chat over with.."Zolomon.."He says calmly,"A word?..few words? I did promise to,well..chat once I was back."     
     
Darian hears Zolomon and Elbio and scurries toward the source of their voices. The young weasel stays hidden though, peeking out at them from behind a tree.     
Zolomon looks up and sighs "I knew ya was back and kind of surprised ya want te chat."He seems very alert and on guard right now.
     
Elbio just stares back and then slowly sits down in front of the other hare, arms crossed over his chest."Yeah yeah, so am I but you claim no one listened to you and I know we, well don't get along but I am willing to try to"     
     
Darian continues to listen, and remains hidden.     
     
Zolomon tilts his head"This is a trick, isn't it?" He stands and goes to leave,heading towards the tree Darian is at.     
     
Elbio takes a deep breath and exhales trying to not get upset,like in angry as he slightly glares at the other hare."Just like before...annoying,self centered..."     
     
Darian squeaks, and quickly ducks behind the tree, trying to hide from the approaching Zolomon.     
     
Zolomon blinks as he hears Darian "Who's thar..show ya self right now."He looks at Elbio"See..don't listen, wots bloody new most hate me."     
     
Elbio ears perk a little but he isn't sure whom is close by.He shakes his head at Zolomon,"I would say no one hates you..but that would be wrong."     
     
Darian knows who Zolomon is, remembering Elbio and Krisha talking about him. "P-Please stop fighting," she says in a gentle and quiet voice, shaking while she continues to hide behind the tree.     

Zolomon mutters something and looks behind the tree, he backs up and gets an unsure expression on his face,he watches the weasel and knows she is afraid.He is tense and looks at Elbio."Who this?"     
     
Elbio stands quickly and gets between the tree and Zolomon "I suggest you walk away."Some coldness to his voice, then a frown as he looks down a moment and back up at Zolomon. "Her name is Darian.."His voice is not as cold now.     
     
Darian peeks out again, looking at the two hares. In a moment of anger and courage, the young weasel stands up, and steps forward. "I... P-please, stop fighting!" she says, still afraid, but still standing there, not running.     
     
Zolomon looks around at Darian and studys her.He looks at Elbio and then just calmly sits down.     
     
Elbio keeps an eye on Zolomon and sighs in relief,he asks Darian"You..ok lass?" He walks slightly to Zolomon."She is on our side..good beast."He is not sitting yet."Look let's just calmly talk, ok?"     
     
Darian looks up at Elbio, nodding. "Yes sir," she says, before looking back to Zolomon. "Mr. Zolomon? M-My name is Darian. I.. I live here, at Redwall."     
     
Zolomon nods slowly"So..live hee?...ok"He looks again at Elbio "Talk bout wot? Ya clearly still don't like me and I live here too..though maybe I can live at the Defender's base instead."     
     
Elbio frowns "I...I don't hate you." He tries to find the words "And thats up ta you...but Vonda may dislike that..I heard you and Vonda were getting married some time in Autumn"     
     
Darian looks between then two, and seems to calm, her shaking now having stopped. The weasel carefully steps to Zolomon and sits next to him, looking up at Elbio, listening to the conversation.     
     
Zolomon tenses slightly but then relaxes, "Yeah..me and Vonda will wed, sometime before or after the Autumn feast probably, it's the Summer one coming up here in a few days." He glances at Darian a moment and speaks to Elbio again." Suppose tis good you don't hate me, I know a few Patrol do"     
     
Elbio nods "Yeah, but then again it's not like your see any of them..tis rare for a patrol to be this far from de mountain."He sighs "Look...Zolomon maybe we can be..friends or at least stop disliking each other. You are..seeming to be doing better since last I saw you in Halyard...and when you..went Awol.."     
     
Darian looks up at Zolomon and smiles to him, before looking to Elbio, quietly listening.     
     
Zolomon frowns "I..yeah, it was not wise to run off, but the past..its de past and can't undo it."He smiles faintly "Vonda..helped me alot..I am not..really the old me still, maybe closer or maybe I never fully will be the old me."His one ear droops as he frowns deeply." After Xandy..died.."     
     
Elbio nods "I heard, and spoke with Lt. Velm some too."He is lsitning at least. "I say, let friends help and..I can understand how death can..affect some beasts. When I first joined the patrol, a fellow hare was..so injured, there was no saving him, and I was upset when he died casue he was my first friend,taught me alot of the patrol when I ioned..even trained me a little"     
     
Darian looks up at Elbio, frowning, having not known that about him. Then he looks up at Zolomon, still frowning. "Um... Mr. Zolomon?" she asks gently.     
     
Zolomon sniffs and wipes away some tears, he blinks as he speaks "Wot?" He asks calmly     
     
Elbio stays quiet, he isn't sure how to help,how to handle sad beasts.But he stays where he is .     
     
Darian is still for a moment, unsure if she should do what she's about to do. Finding her courage, the weasel reaches her paw out and gently takes hold of Zolomon's paw. "I'm sorry," she says gently. "My grandfather fought for the safety of all beasts. And... And I will too. I will fight so that this will never happen to you or any beast else."     
     
Zolomon almost pulls away.He sighs "One can't..always stop death. I seen a lot in the Long Patrol, trust me..large battles can be scary.I.."He waits and speaks"I am helping Caleb with de Mossflower Defenders, like I helped Xandy and.."He manages a smile "I am a lot more skilled than I was..I mean I managed to get to Sergeant in de patrol...and"He frowns "Tis was my fault I got striped of all rank, kicked outta de patrol and banished from the mountain and the western shores it's self a few weeks later."     
     
Elbio says, "You are fairly skilled with that longbow, might need slight help in close fighting..I be willing ta help with close up fighting and.."He rubs the back of his neck a little "Maybe you can help me get a little better with longbow,I still have one just..ummm....."Yeah he is not good with it, a sling is ok with."     
     
Darian notices Zolomon almost pull his paw away, but she continues to smile as she continues to hold his paw. "Maybe, you can both help each other. Mr. Zolomon, we can always move forward. The future isn't written yet, and our past mistakes don't define us. I wanna help too. I've joined the Mossflower Defenders, as a healer."     
     
Zolomon smiles"A healer is always good." He arches an eyebrow at Elbio "Lt. Elbio....I am fairly skilled?" He chuckles.." I am de best in Mossflower, probably the western shores. It was I that stoped that..wildcat slime from killing Ciocan when he was surrounded...course No one seemed ta care...but ya know, that's fine."He hmmms"So...How is things at Sala?"   
     
Elbio replies "They are going well, repairs likely done now in Halyard, they were rebuilding the base..."He nods "They spoke of a cloaked archer.."He smirkls "You I suppose..and" He adds "Your right, the day could of ended in disaster, you also totally ruined the wildcat's fighting paw...likely helped some so he was better able to be defeated.Major Varus was missing, but he was found and brought back right before I started to head back here..Major Varus killed the wildcat ina one on one fight during the final battle I was told"     
     
Darian continues to smile, listening to the two quietly.     
     
Zolomon says, "I know de Major hates me...then again I did..stab him,I told him ta move"     
     
Elbio nods "Yeah..heard, tis when you went AWOL and Velm and Donica Hard to find you ,take you back.."He sighs "The past, let'sn ot speak of it." He offers his paw to shake "Peace between us...friends,not enemies..deal?"     
     
Zolomon seems unsure, like the Lt. is tricking him but then smiles and shakes his paw "Deal Lt. E."     
     
Elbio sighs at the nickname,but smiles as he is glad to be getting along finally with Zolomon."Still though...I can not believe you of all beasts is getting married soon"     
Darian smiles as she listens to them both. "I'm very happy that you're both friends again," she says, still holding on to Zolomon's paw. "Mr. Zolomon, may we be friends too? Please?"     
     
Zolomon shrugs,he smiles"Well I am getting married." He hmms"Not sure me and Elbio was..friends before." He looks at the weasel "Another friend be good Darian, I only have a few friends"     
     
Darian looks confident now and nods, holding both of her paws in front of her in fists. "Then it's settled!" she says with excitement and determination. "We're friends, Mr. Zolomon!" The weasel giggles, then goes back to holding his paw again. "My grandpa used to be friends with the Long Patrol, and the Badger Lord, a long time ago."     
     
Elbio nods "I don't know much on badger lord history"     
     
Zolomon says, "I know some...ok before Ciocan was Sabaastin..then before him....Bludstripe...thar was a very long time between BludStripe and Sabastin...and my grandfather knew Bludstripe..my grandfather's name was Jake"     
     
Darian smiles. "It was a long time ago..." The weasel suddenly perks her head up a little. "Jake... Mr. Jake! I... I think my grandpa was friends with him! My grandpa was really good friends with him, and Lord Bludstripe! They would defend the western shore together, and... and then my grandpa moved to Redwall Abbey. This is amazing!" Darian now holds both of Zolomon's paw with hers. "Our grandpas knew each other!"     
     
Elbio says, "interesting"     
     
Zolomon smiles "That is neat to know...wow"     
     
Elbio stands "I have to tend to some things, see you two later at dinner"     
     
Darian waves her paw to Elbio. "See you soon Mr. Elbio!" she says, then looks back to Zolomon. "So now we're DEFINITELY friends!" she giggles. "I will help you in any way that I can, sir. And I'm happy to fight for Mossflower's protection with you in the Defenders."   
     
Zolomon nods, a small smile "Xander....would of been happy to know the Defenders stayed around after his death"     
     
Darian nods, smiling gently now also. "Yes he would. And I will fight in memory of him, and my grandpa, and Mr. Jake, and Mr. Bludstripe... and all of our friends. They would have wanted that."     
     
Zolomon nods "My..mother was even in the Patrol a short while,then left..kind of wish she had stayed...but thats ok"     
     
Darian blinks. "Really? Your mother was in the Patrol too?" The small weasel tilts her head. "Is that why you joined?"     
     
Zolomon shaked his head "I..jioned from stories, I found out she was in it when I read an entry in some history log at Salamandastron,she survived out of like 15 hares from a group on a patrol..she kind of went...ummm...anyways she left. She told stories of grandfather who died when I was like a season old, never knew my father...I was told he just disappeared one day. My mother died of an illness and I went to the abbey as it was closer and she spoke of it, it was on de way to the abbey I met xander and his uncles, Zee and Oz...Papa Oz that is, Mother K named her son after Papa Oz"     
     
Darian's excited look turns to one of sadness. "Oh..." The weasel's head lowers slightly. "I'm... I'm sorry, Mr. Zolomon. My grandpa, he knew Mr. Oz, too. I remember him talking about him." Now her head lifts up again, and her smile returns. "You'll always have a family at Redwall, okay? And... And I will do everything I can to help you set things right with everybeast. We all will."     
     
Zolomon smiles "Family is...important ta have and I don't know about trying to get back with de Long Patrol..I am..happy here, with Vonda and I have a few friends and I get to help run Mossflower Defenders, Vonda is gonna help and be a cook"     
     
Darian smiles. "Then I will do everything I can to help you and everybeast protect everybeast and everything that we have. And I'm very happy that you're happy here."     
     
Zolomon smiles"I am glad to be here too..."He stops when the bells sound and smiles more"Dinner...let's hurry, let's go!" Of course Zolomon gets there first.

WHO:

Ciocan- Badger Lord

Krisha- Badger Mother of Redwall

LOG:
Ciocan was in the forge fixing a couple shields that got dented in the fight with the horde.  Things in the mountain was finally starting to be somewhat normal.

Krisha  looked into the forge room. She had gotten back from a short trip to Halyard.She glanced at the forge, " Wow...this is a very large forge."

Ciocan looked up and set the shield he was working on aside." Hello Badger Mother Krisha,I hope you are enjoying your stay in my mountain.

Krisha nods." I am, I even told the leveret Caretaker I could help the next couple days, it seemed they needed a serious break."

Ciocan smiles. " I still do not know how you handle some many dibbuns at Redwall. Even the ones here get into mischief a lot."

Krisha manages a chuckle." Yeah, I am used to it. Makes me wonder how things are with me being away so long. I would maybe leave a couple days, once a week in Brockhall...not been there since...well."

Ciocan nods. " Perhaps one day I will visit it, but not anytime soon. I  am very busy and things here are not completely back to normal, still have a Major missing. Once he is home I have a memorial to plan or may just have Quinten do most of the planning. "

Krisha says, " I heard from Elbio about the missing hare. I think Elbio is at Halyard right now."

Ciocan replies." Yes he is " He moves over to a rank of weapons, and carefully takes one down." I have something here you may be interested in."

The Blade of the Northwind Storms. It's polished and sharpened and has been well cared for.

Krisha looks at the blade in silence, a frown as a tear goes down her face. " Xander's….blade..he never told me where he had it, just it was safe with a trusted friend."

Ciocan nods." Yes, he had me keep it,in case one day Oz came for it. I am unsure of keeping it now,  I can if you wish. I shall leave the decision up to you."

Krisha sniffs and lays a paw on the blade, closing her eyes a brief moment before opening them again." I...I want to keep it, I can place it in a chest at home. I do not..know what Oz will do, I..I almost don't want him to train when he is old enough but at the same time…" She sighs." I don't know...I just..just wish Xander was still alive,  it's not,  not fair.."

Ciocan frowns,  unsure what to do at first. He sets the blade down and lays a paw on Krisha's shoulder. " It's alright to grieve, but Xander would not want you to stay sad. He would want you to remember happier times,  and know that he watches over you, as well as watches over Oz and Caleb, from the dark forest. "

Krisha calms after a few moments ." I..I know and having Oz back helps, Oz looks a lot like Xander now. "

Ciocan nods." Do you have any keepsakes from Xander you keep, that helps some too…" He is quiet before speaking again." Before I came to the mountain, I had a mate. Her name was Martha. She was slain by a wolverine named Gorax.  "

Krisha listens  and looks up at him" You had a wife?"

Ciocan nods  " Yes, I never talked much of my life before becoming Ruler of Salamandastron.  I only mentioned being a captain of a ship, which is still on dry dock in Halyard, a small simple ship me,Martha and a couple otter friends sailed on. My hares and some along for the trip when we rescued the dibbuns from the island, found out if my past, so I told them...I had thought  Gorax was dead, but he was alive and on the island. I slayed him. But our first meeting I was not as wise as I am now. He gave Martha a fatal wound right before I got to her, see we were visiting somewhere..a small sea port and Martha had went on ahead to meet up at a bakery...but she saw dibbuns chained up and freed them...Gorax came.."

Krisha listens to the story and frowns " That's..sad…you  found her my guess and managed to find the wolverine?"

Ciocan invites her to sit on a bench." The 3 dibbuns she saved, found me..I got there when she stumbled from an alley, she barely got out my name and died in my arms. I found myself saying if only got there a minute sooner, I could have saved her." He frowns." Noone can control...life. I barely remember anything else and woke in an Infirmary 4 days later,  I went into Bloodwrath for the first time in my life. I had an injury on my side and left the wolverine near death."

Krisha frowns. " I probably would of...not been able to handle it if….if Xander had died in my arms, it was hard enough...finding him, he had been dead a few short hours a healer said. I slowly got over my depression but the lost, still hurts."

Ciocan nods." I almost didn't come here, but former badger lords told me how I was needed, I slowly came to see the hares as my family.  The pain of loss never totally goes away, but it fades some.My Martha and Your Xander watch over us from the dark forest."

Krisha smiles. " Yeah…." She looks at him." I want to take Xander's blade, back home. And if Oz chooses the warrior life, I will make sure he is trained,  or maybe if he finds a mate he can pass it down to his son or daughter. "

Ciocan nods as he stands, he gets The Blade of The Northwind Storms and hands it to Krisha. " Here you are, it is best it stay with your family,  it is the Winters clan blade. "

Krisha nods her thanks and heads on out of the forge." Thanks for the chat, I think I will go to bed early tonight. " WITH that she heads out.

Ciocan waves and then gets back to fixing the two shields before he himself gets some rest.

LOG:

The Dining Hall is just finishing lunch and the hare in charge of dibbuns is Cole and another Private, and they are not having that grand of a time. Most are behaving but a couple of the levets are fighting and start a small food fight,that is lucky stopped within a minute by a corporal on duty.     

Oz just watches them and sighs.One he is slightly bigger than them and just now 5.5 seasons old, a preteen ..he will be a novice before autumn is over.     
     
Krisha walks into the room.She has spent a good deal of time in the guest room she was given,just resting and relaxing, a couple hares decided to let her sleep when the badger cub woke and didn't really tell him anyone was here to see him. The Badger Mother glances around, frowning a little and decides to just get some fruit,salad and a drink,she is not in the mood for a crowd of hares right now.     
     
Cole and the other private gets the dibbuns gathered to go have some time in the craftroom before lessons.     
     
Oz starts to follow but instantly freezes when he sees someone across the room and bolts before any hare can grab him, and yes Cole tries only to fall flat on his face and get laughed at...laughed at by dibbun hares! Meaning Oz makes a beeline towards Krisha "Mom!!!!!!"     
     
Krisha blinks, and turns just in time.She puts her plate and drink down,takes a couple steps and drops to her knees as the tears, happy ones, start.She lets him get to her and hugs him tightly."Oz...it's you, it's really you"     
     
Oz hugs back, tightly just happy, happier than he has been in awhile.He is taller, older of course..after all he was gone almost 3 seasons.He is taller and has grown up a bit, maybe a bit too much for his age as he was a season and a half when he was taken away.     
     
Cole slowly stands and dusts off, "Umm...ok then.."He manages to get the other dibbuns off to the classroom.Someother hares watch the reunion and smile.     
     
Krisha takes a deep breath,"I was so worried..." She looks him over and tenses up a little.She hugs him again and speaks "You....your starting to look a lot like your..father."     
     
Oz frowns at the mention of his father and just buries his face into her robes. It seems he is not wanting to leave his mothers side ever again.     
     
Krisha is not going to push him to reply, she knows very well he likely witnessed the horrible event when his father died.She nods"Its ok, we will go back home, to Redwall soon...me,Lt,Elbio and a couple guests, and your brother Caleb ishere as well."     
     
Oz stays close to Krisha and smiles "Caleb here?" He does remember the mouse, at least a little bit."We go home now?"     
     
Krisha smiles and leads him to a bench and sits down"Not yet, in a few days we will and get back in time for the Authumn feast and even if we don't get back in time, thats ok. We are back together and thats what is important"   
     
Oz happily follows his mother to the bench and sits beside her.He is happy and glad to see her.He is curious "See zolo?....and have friend...Kelp"He frowns"Not know where is"     
     
Krisha asks, "Kelp, an otter cub right?"She smiles"I saw him and Vonda on the way here, they are likely at Redwall now so your be able to see him again as well son""     
     
Oz smiles again"Ya...me and Kelp is friends and I..miss Kelp"     
     
Krisha nods"Zolomon is there as well, all is well at Redwall and beasts will be very happy to see you back safe."     
     
Oz smiles, staying beside her "When we see Caleb? Where is Caleb at?"     
     
Krisha says, "I am unsure where he is honey, he knows your here and I am sure you will see him soon.He will be very happy to see you"     
     
Oz says, "I will be most most happy to see him too, wanna see him soon too."     
     
Krisha says, "I know you will, me and Caleb both missed you, and the dibbuns will be happy to see you home too I bet."   
     
Oz asks, "How know I here mom?" Its not like they could of got a message out fast, could they" Who told you?"     
     
Krisha replies"Well zolomon ended up telling Elbio who told Benar, who told me..and so I came to get you to bring you home and seems like it was a good plan with the hares being so busy its hard to say when they would of been able to get you home"     

Oz says, "home wilol be nice, maybe I can go look for Caleb now"     
     
Krisha almost says no as she doesn't ever want him out of her sight, she nods"Alright, I am sure he is somewhere "     

=====Next day=====

It is just after breakfast time in the dinning hall, so its not too busy.One hare, Cole is here and seems to be looking for someone then sighs and just takes the hare dibbuns off to wherever needed, it seems he dislikes being on dibbun duty this morning. Unseen at the moment is Oz as he is behind the half closed door to the kitchen.   
     
Caleb would slowly come into the dining chambers, wearing a simple tunic and shorts as he was trying to keep as cool as he could. The mouse looks around the area and notices Cole, giving them a small wave as he goes to sit down at the table, wanting to rest before he chooses something to eat.     
     
Oz peeks around the corner, good Cole is gone..seems he dislikes Cole.He giggles and slips out with a couple cookies and starts to head elsewhere when he notices Caleb and studies him for a short while before realizing who it is.He stuffs the cookie into a pocket and quickly heads over to Caleb.He is clearly taller since the mouse less saw him, then he has been missing like 3 seasons, he also talks a lot better "Caleb!...it you..Caleb!"     
     
Caleb seems to freeze as he hears the strange but familiar voice. The mouse slowly turns around as he looks towards his brother and seems to smile, almost breaking down. Quickly the mouse gets up and comes over to hug his little brother, smiling with glee. However... he figured that Oz was waiting for Cole to be gone so the mouse would stay quiet before writing something down. "Oz... It's so good to see you. Why were you hiding?"
     
Oz tilts his head and looks at the writing, sounding out a couple words and then replying."Cole a meanie..."     
     
Caleb giggles somewhat and nods, taking Oz's hand and leading him back towards the kitchen so they could hide out and he could get himself something to eat. For now, he'd make hand gestures instead so that Oz could slowly learn. He points towards something that looks like a kettle and then to them, basically saying he's going to make tea. "Dad made tea a lot, remember?"     
     
Oz smiles,he could learn sign language most likely, he can read..fairly well, he does need to practice as he did miss out on some learning.He smiles and goes to follow Caleb.."I also see mom...mom glad see me too"     
     
"Yes she is... she missed you a lot, little brother." He puts his pad down and makes sure there's no hares around before going to make some tea and grab some breakfast items. "Want anything? Besides the cookies in your pocket?" With a giggle, Caleb points towards the treat sticking out of Oz's pocket, a bit bigger than he had anticipated.     
     
Oz shakes his head and smiles as he finds a place to sit down, he likely ate some breakfast earlier.     
     
Caleb would make himself some toast and eggs, along with a scone and some mint tea. The mouse sits down amongst the kitchen and smiles to his brother as he eats. "I'm... glad you remember me."     
     
Oz smiles, he goes to hug Caleb."Me...I r...remember you."     
     
Caleb puts his food down and smiles brightly, hugging his little brother and giving him a small rub along the back. "Don't worry... I won't leave you."     
     
Oz nods, a small frown for a moment."The..bad cat said you..and mom were deads...I am glad you is not dead." Saddly he knows what dead means, he saw too much of it before he was rescued.     
     
"I know Oz... I know. But I ain't going to die on you any time soon. I'll stay with you for a long time." He just holds onto him more, smiling more genuinely and with a relaxed face.     
     
Oz smiles now."Okies..." He is happy, more happy than he has been in a while."And we go homes...soon.I missed home"     
     
Caleb nods at that and offers up some tea, giggling. He sips his own and then pulls out the picture he drew of Krisha and him when he was a mere baby.     
     
Oz smiles at the picture and looks at the tea, he takes a small sip of it and seems unsure if he likes it or not.     
     
Caleb is just giggling somewhat at his face, sipping some more as he looks towards Oz. "Dad taught me all I know about tea... I'm going to teach you just like he did me."     
     
Oz smiles at this and nods, he tries to sign back and does pretty good with =ok sounds ..."He hmmms and spells out good,but he is very much willing to learn sign language.     
     
Caleb seems to brighten up and decides to give him a small lesson, mostly on the basic letters and shapes he'll need to know. Just something quick and easy.     
     
Oz smiles, he is enjoying learning this, he does mess up a couple times but after a few tries is getting the hang of it and giggles now.     
     
"Okay... try to spell I love you, mom." He shows Oz really quick, making sure to take it slow so he knew what signs to use. "We're gonna surprise her with it."     
     
Oz smiles,he nods as he watche a few times and then tries, he doesn't get it at first and then tries again and learns how to do it, he will of course practice more later.     
     
Caleb gives him a pat on the head and lets him eat his cookie if he wwishes. He won't tell after all. The mouse just finishes up his breakfast.     
     
Oz does, but the 2nd one is given to Caleb as he smiles.     
     
Caleb happily takes it and nibbles it some before he signs, "Where do you want to go? I wanna hang out with my brother."   
     
Oz hmmms, he shrugs as not many places to really go and he has not been allowed outside since he got here, and some are still unsure of doing much outside yet.     
     
Errapel makes his way into the room ans sits in a chair on the far end of a table quietly, just for now relaxing.     
     
Oz peeks in the dining room when he thinks he hears someone and see the otter, but stays where he is instead of going over to him.     
     
Errapel chuckles and looks over at the door." Someone is curious are they? Come over and say hi young one."     
     
Oz walks over after a short while and offers a smile "Hi.."He says, he has seen the old otter before so he isn't a stranger.     
     
Caleb also peeks out, smiling towards Errapel before taking Oz's hand as they walk outside. He'd sign to Errapel, "Hello. Good to see you again."
     
Errapel smiles as he nods." It is a good day.I do hope you both are well." He nods as he studies both quietly. " You have been threw much, but that is the past and its best to look at the here and now and perhaps the future some too."     
     
Oz just listens as the otter talks, he then asks "You knows Kelp?"     
     
Errapel nods. " I do, he was once part of the same Holt as me, sadly the Seamist holt is no more. I shall stay in Halyard and Kelp stays at Redwall Abbey now with his adopted sister Vonda."     
     
Caleb nods somewhat and just watches the two talk, sitting down amongst the table.     
     
Oz smiles knowing Kelp isok"Me and kelp are friends." He sits down now.     
     
Errapel says, "friends are good to have in ones life, they help one another." He smiles at Oz." I sense your future will be very interesting young badger, just be sure to listen wisely to others and your do well."     
     
"Don't worry," Caleb signs " I will make sure to teach him well."
     
Errapel nods. " That is good to know."     

Oz yawns, he is tired and goes to sleep beside his brother,  Caleb, he smiles as he sleeps.

Zolomon sat on the log and waited quietly. He has on a navy blue cloak on and an amulet  showing the Mossflower Defenders logo.

Silverwing landed " Ess hi friend zolomon, what this?"

Minsc came and sat nearby " Yes I was starting to wonder me self, what is bringing us here?"

Vonda smiled as she came to sit by Zolomon.

Zolomon smiled, a couple of squirrels and a short  ferret soon sat down." As you know…" The hare sighs." Xandy died, the wildcat Zoltar is dead. You're all here as we need Mossflower Defenders to be strong again. Caleb, Xandy's adopted son, is the leader...I am co-leader or 2nd in command I suppose."

Silverwing straightens a wing feather. " Is knowing...but how make em stronger."

Minsc hmmms." Recruit, where not sure."

Vonda smiles." I be,happy to join. I can use a staff and can cook, I know some first aid...but be wise for you to get an a healer. "

Zolomon hugs Vonda." We will, not to worry. The base is still in Ferravale and Patch still has the offer of one free meal a day for any Defender Member."

Silverwing nods her head. " Like fishies?"

Minsc just chuckles " Patch is  always being a good helpful rat."

Vonda asks." Who is Patch?"

Zolomon  replies. " Owns de Redthorn Tavern in Ferravale..Xandy did own it and he gave it to Patch.Patch is….well he's Patch...he's on our side not to worry."

Silverwing yawns." Silverwing needs napsleep." She gets comfortable and sleeps.

Minsc smiles." I am off for wall duty." He heads off.

The couple squirrels head off to.

Vonda hmms, " So now what?"

Zolomon shrugs." I don't know...see if Friar L has a pie or two..or 3."

Vonda playfully shoves him. " Your the worse."

Zolomon grins and zips off…..

Vonda sighs and shakes her head, she best make sure he stays out of trouble
