Zurrg Wants War It Seems-Redwall Log(And part of the Zurrgg Plot too)

Got On a couple times, Rayen makes an appearance and The Abbot is in the log, the very end Oz is found by Rayen.

RW Abbey: Great Hall

The Great Hall of Redwall Abbey. Countless paw falls have echoed from these stones, and untold numbers of feasts and merry gatherings have been held here. A table, not nearly so grand or large as its predecessors, but quite functional for mealtimes, rests near the center of the hall. Chairs exist here aplenty, and they are all of a matching set. High above, the stain glass windows give the Great Hall a beautiful appearance. The glasswork is exceptionally done, crafted by a skilled artist. The floor is clean and swept. A fire is kept burning in the fireplace at almost all times of the day and night, and there are several more comfortable chairs and cushions set up here, of varying sizes. One looks large enough to easily accommodate a badger.

The Tapestry hangs proud and tall, and while the rest of Redwall may still bear the scars of natural disaster, this most famous of Redwall's relics remains unharmed by beast, time, or the elements. The figure of Martin the Warrior seems to be watching over his own with an unchanging, kindly gaze.

Soft light is slowly beginning to filter in through the stained glass windows high above your head.

Quinlan After a few days of traveling the young adult squirrel finally makes his way to the famous abbey he has herd so much about. He gives a nod to those on the ramparts as they call down for gates to be opened. The squirrel makes his way inside looking around the abbey before handing one of the guards his weapons as he asks for them. Quinlan makes his way inside the abbey letting in a cool warm summer’s breeze he close the doors behind him and looks at all the beasts going about.

Benar is talking to one of the order Sisters "Is there any news what so ever yet?" The Sister shakes her head and the abbot sighs "Very well, once there is please let me know" He walks towards a couple novice and nods to them and waves to the new comer, Quinlan "Hello there"

Quinlan looks at the other squirrel and gives a nod." Hello I take it you must be thy abbot of the abbey yes?" He looks at some dibbuns run past him then back at Benar." And sorry but I could not help but over hear your small conversation is something wrong?"

Zee walks in, staff in paw and upon the abbot he walks over but waits to speak to him. He does lean on his staff as he waits.

Benar nods "Yes I am the Abbot my name is Benar and we have had some trouble with a wildcat named Zurrgg and have a missing beast." He then sees Zee "No news if you’re asking Zee. No one has found Oz; a beast did find Brother Phil sadly. And I heard of the magpie last night that confirmed Zurrgg as Oz but not a where abouts."

Zee frowns, he makes a fist and then relaxes the paw, "If I were not still recovering from injuries I would be going out ta hunt down that feline."

Quinlan walks over and holds out a paw." Names Quinlan, an if you like mayhaps I could help look for your missing beast as well I may have just gotten here but I'll help any that need it."

Benar sighs and lays a paw on Zee's arm "Calm yourself my friend, he will be found but I do not want you going out Zee, you’re in no shape to go out and frankly neither is the Champion right now. First northern beast destroy Camp Willow and then this wildcat decides to take advantage of the fact and attack other areas of Mossflower." He nods to the other squirrel and does shake his paw "Help would be good yes, even just a little all that is known is the wildcat Zurrgg has murdered the chieftain of Ferravale and has taken over the village and possibly land around the village and he demands taxes of the abbey"

Zee nods a hello to Quinlan.."Zee Winters and..."He shakes his head "No worries on me goin' out Benar...I know I couldn’t win a fight right now..I just worried, first he takes Xander and tis hard to say wot he did with him.....Zinnia left and I knows it cause Xander being missing almost a season, then de wildcat gets Ozzy.....tis just worrisome, de wildcat is dangerous and insane"

Quinlan nods. no beast should have to pay taxes and I'll help where I can my services are yours to command." He looks at Benar." Camp Willow whats that and was any beast hurt?"

Benar nods "You can speak to our champion Magramba and Camp Willow is where our otter friends live. I need to talk with some elders in the meantime it is dinner time so please enjoy some dinner" And then he is off.

Quinlan nods and goes to help himself to some food." Thank you I could use a warm meal after traveling."

• • • • Redwall Wall Tops and Gates the next day ****

Zee was on the wall tops staring down at the road. He was on the lookout for anything out of place.

Leon climbed the steps up, he was getting over his fear of being so high up, but he still didn’t look down as he focused on the badger "Hey Zee, you ok there? You shouldn’t of climbed the steps and should let others volunteer for this, not you"

From RW Abbey: Western Rampart, Zee frowns "No, Zurrgg still be out thar and no one has found him, though we seem to know where he is but it also be dangerous to go near thar"

Leon nods "I know, but there is really no one to go there."

Zurrgg walked to the gate, with him about 2 and 1/2 dozen rats and ferrets, and a couple foxes as well and he looked peeved. "I demand to see one in charge of this place now and not just a gatekeeper or beasts who wish to hide behind walls"

Jem had decided to come along after all, she tilts her head and looks at the gates, oh she hates those gates now. She so hates them.

Leon sighs as he was talking to Zee and then his eyes widen as he sees Zurrgg and frowns "This can't be a good thing." Beside him is Caleb who peers over the wall and frowns "Caleb go get someone, go now and tell Lilymoore to ring the bells and if she isn’t found have another do it" The younger mouse nods and quickly sets off.

Zee right away is growling and glares down at the wildcat "Where is me nephews ya foul furbag!"

Zurrgg smirks as he sees the badger "The dibbun or the blind one Zee Winters? Been a while since I seen you...when was that, oh yes when you lost the dibbun...that’s right. I sold him by the way and by now he is long gone, hopefully dead but I could care less. What I do care about is revenge and suffering" He steps closer and one can see his bruised jaw and some dried blood, its swollen too "See this...the other nephew of yours did this, but I am not so upset as Ripfang by now has taken care of him and knowing my pet there isn’t really anything to show, and the dibbun rabbit....such a short life..pity "He smirks.

Leon frowns "What did you do?!" He keeps an eye on the vermin and looks at Zee "Not wise to provoke him Zee and you best head back down the steps..your still recovering"

Zee glares and starts to go down the steps "Yeah but I am not going to anywhere but ta strange a wildcat!" He goes to the main gates and pushes a side a frighten guard on duty and narrows his eyes at the wildcat " If ya killed me nephew...either of em' ya a dead beast right now" His voice is cold and he is serious.

Benar makes his way to the entry when he hears the bells ring and frowns as he appears at the gates “No fighting..."He looks to the wildcat and takes a deep breath "Who are you to disturbed the peace of my abbey?"

Leon hurries down the steps and watches from just inside the gates, he won't go out unless he is needed to. Caleb meanwhile is inside the main building.

Jem flaps around and circles once as she watches this unfold.

Zurrgg smirks "Oh I didn’t lay a paw on him...well to end his life, my monitor Ripfang did" Little does he know the badger go away and the monitor is dead, he looks to the abbot "Ahh finally, the abbot of Redwall and I can disturbed the peace if I wish it. I demand taxes and your abbeys total surrender to me and my horde. I own Ferravale and I am the chieftain there now. You WILL obey me or more deaths will follow"

Zee is instantly in front of Benar and growling at the wild cat "Back off scum! Ye need ta leave Zurrgg before I end a life...yours" Again he is serious , weather he is injured or not. He speaks "He says he killed Ozzy and sold Xander into slavery. I say we open fire and slay this wildcat here and now, along with his friends!!"

Leon has worry show on his face as he frowns, he starts rumbling through his pockets till he finds his knockout herbs and he will use them. He gets a sling and places an open pack on them and waits, but who is he looking to knock out.

Benar frowns and then glares at the wildcat "This abbey will never surrender to you and if you have killed one of our Abbey beasts then we for sure, nor would we ever pay taxes to you. We do not give in to vermin who disturbed the peace, to vermin who murder our friends and make threats." He speaks to Zee as he starts to back into the abbey "Zee..inside please this chat is over." Again to the wildcat "Leave Zurrgg, you are not welcome here and the answer to taxes or surrender is NO" Whoa the abbot looks just a bit ticked off. Already a couple guards are getting the abbot on inside the gates and towards the great hall. "Tell Magramba of this and get more beasts on the walls and at the gates."

Zee narrows his eyes, he lifts his staff looks ready to hit the cat "If no one else is fighting this."

Zurrgg narrows his eyes and hisses, a snarl forms "So be it! I declare war on your abbey then, next I come here it's not to talk, it’s to take this place down and I will have more with me...and maybe a hostage!" He nods to Jem to go and grab the abbot, if that succeeds he is happy, if it doesn’t he will not be too happy.

Jem nods and start to dive towards the abbot before he gets fully inside!

The bird doesn’t get too far before an arrow is fired at it with deadly aim, it’s a vixen from the wall tops and none other than Rayen and her aim is rarely off target.

Leon frowns and decides its best to have Zee knocked out so the badger doesn’t get himself killed, he eeeps at the bird that starts diving towards the others "Look out!" Meanwhile a couple otters at the abbey will help Zee inside and also a couple others will make sure the wildcat doesn’t harm anyone and that all get inside safely so the gates can be shut and locked.

Jem gets a look of shock as the arrow enters her heart and she falls from the sky and hits the ground in front of her former boss, looks like his bird is dead.

Zee goes to swing the staff when the knock out herbs hit him and he coughs, he is somewhat fighting them to avoid passing out and the herbs, on top of still recovering is what allows the otters to help him back inside.

Benar gets safely inside and frowns, he glances at the otters and Leon. "Take Zee to his room but I want him watched I can't let any other beast get hurt or...or killed from this. “ Abbey beasts make sure the gates are shut and locked tightly as the abbot is a little shaken up, but is ok and safe.

Zurrgg has one of those eye twitches and growls as he snaps his fingers and the vermin with him stand ready "We leave..now and head back to Ferravale" He will leave the dead magpie on the road, he calls up to the walls and speaks loudly "Abbot Benar! I will give your beasts a couple days to be prepared for war. I will be back and that’s a promise!" He then storms off back towards Ferravale to prepare his own beasts.

Leon frowns, he checks on Zee as he speaks to Benar "This is bad Benar, what are we going to do when the wildcat comes back, and do you think he is...lying bout Oz?"

Zee groans, he mutters.."If he...isn't..cat needs...to die.." He then let’s sleep over take him.

Benar frowns, “I don't know. I fear the worse if a monitor was involved but we cannot be certain. I do know I don't want to risk any more deaths or missing beasts. As for Papa Oz we can ...have beasts look for him, but beasts who can stay hidden well and fight if needed. If Zurrgg means war as he says he will most likely be staying alert. I still fear for Blisa and where she is in this whole mess."

Leon nods "Me also...we do have Thunderwing, he is back in the area and I have a whistle that can call him that only he can hear. He could maybe look for Oz...even if it’s to confirm the worse, we can't let him be here either way. He needs...needs to be home. Thunderwing could also let us know how many this wildcat has and maybe bring news of Blisa and any other beast who wants to help or needs to get to the safety of the abbey."

Benar rubs his forehead and sighs as he nods "Alright, try and get ahold of Thunderwing....I will hold off on any possible grim news on....on Oz till we know for sure." He holds his tail and shakes his head, "I just want this to get taken care of, to get this wildcat threat to leave so we can have some peace. Then any mourning needed can be done .The only ones I have confirmed killed as a result of Zurrgg is Brother Phil and Krystal a few weeks ago. This threat makes me worry for others safety as well"

Leon nods "I know Sister Zinnia left for traveling. I am sure she is fine Benar"

Rayen comes into the room "Permission to look for Oz. Please I can hide way and I have a cloak to blend into the woodlands, I also have my longbow and arrows I will be careful and be back as quick as I can and I will avoid trouble."

Benar listens to the vixen and nods "Very well but you have only till dusk and then your to be back."

The vixen nods and heads off

Leon watches her go and looks back to Benar "Benar...please don’t get all stressed, would hate to have to make you rest but I will if I have to trust me"

Benar smiles "I will be fine Brother Leon...I am going to my quarters now. I think some rest is all I need and if I am needed they can send someone to tell me, otherwise they can speak to one of the elders" He heads on to his room.

Leon watches the abbot head to his room, he then goes to check On Zee and will have another healer check On Benar just to make sure he is ok.

In the woods a little ways=

Rayen as been extra careful and keeping an eye out for trouble and scanning the area for Oz

Oz is by a tree with a sleeping rabbit dibbun, his foot paw swollen and he has some cuts and bruises, nothing serious and a small bump on the back of his head. His shoulder was out of place but its back in place now.

Rayen sees Oz and smiles "Oz your alive!" She sounds happy and glad.

Oz blinks and allows a smile "Rayen it is good to hear your voice."

Rayen nods and checks on any injuries "You ok?"

Oz nods "There was a monitor but Blisa's snake killed it and she is nearby with some guards...and the snake, I am going to come back with them and bring the rabbit dibbun here to the abbey, his parents and family..friends were killed by Zurrgg. A small settlement of 20 beasts...gone."

Rayen frowns and shakes her head "That wildcat's days are numbered trust me." She stands "I will let the abbot and Zee know your alive, and others in the abbey as well as Zurrgg said his monitor killed you and the dibbun so news of you being alive will be very good....so where is Blisa and them?"

Oz sighs "I think they are having a...private funeral for Scioto...I say let them have that without interruptions and out of respect"

Rayen nods and after making sure Oz will be ok she heads back to the abbey with the news
