Zork Is Awake!(Marek's Revenge TP)

This happen in the Infirm of Redwall

Zork has been in the infirm the past week, ever since the fight with Zarola, a fight that he didn’t seem to get that injured from, something else caused this. A couple days ago he scared the healers as he muttered something about dark forest and martin and then he was quiet again, well till now as he makes a very weak groan.

Lorimis is sat dozing in a chair besides Zork's cot, someone has been there every day whilst he slept and the abbot wakes up as the badger groans and fumbles for his glasses, "Zork?"

Zork moves his right paw slightly and his eyes flutter open as he tries to speak but when one has been like this for a week, their mouth can be very dry feeling, he instead coughs a couple times roughly and his eyes stay open. He does look like one who is maybe half asleep.

Lorimis stands by Zork's side, one paw reaching out to hold his big paw the other moving a glass of water to his lips "Take it easy Zork."

Zork sips the water and coughs and finally gets out a couple words, "Feel..weak, tri.." He manages a couple more sips and he blinks a few times finally also focusing on just who is speaking to him, "L..Lori..mis."

Lorimis says, "I am not surprised, you have been asleep for a week Zork," He sits back down, still holding the Badger's hand as a healer hurries over, "I've been worried about you""

Zork doesn't say much as a healer checks him over, still looking worried them self, he looks at Lorimis and coughs once, but his throat isn’t as dry now and the paw shakes some as he cups it faintly around Lorimis paw. "W..Week?"

Lorimis nods his head and smiles softly, "Yes but you are back with us now... I am so glad you are awake my old friend."

Zork tries to smile and move, even if faintly and finds he is unable to, he does speak a little more, "I..no strength to even..g..get up"

Lorimis says, "Yes... well you have had a very nasty turn Zork, rest... please." He places a hand on the badger's brow and frowns, "You are still very weak."

Zork nods slightly, "Yeah..rest. I..I won't be able ta help..abbey" He frowns , probably using what energy he has to speak, "I..talked ta Martin. I..saw him and he said things..-coughs roughly and tenses up-..owww..even offered me..something else.."

Lorimis smiles and nods, "Martin talks to us all when needed my friend, he comes to those of us in need whenever he feels his words will aid us"

Zork frowns. "A..Aid?..How.." He sounds tried.." I'm..needed yet...can't do.." Tears form in his eyes now and he can't really wipe them away." He even said I could..follow him inside...gates, almost did..almost." He closes his eyes "But I..Couldn’t, not yet..I backed away and he forced me to lie down..and then I woke up and saw you."

Lorimis says, "You are home now Zork, where you are meant to be, rest, recover. We can talk about your dream more when you are feeling better."

Zork seems like he wants to say more and nods weakly, looks like he wants to sleep. "Oh..Lor..Lorimis...I saw..he showed me...Benar and..z..zinn..lot of hares and.." He takes a couple deep breaths, "Ta..tall badger with ax, think..Martin said coming."

Lorimis asks, "They are coming?" He grins at that, "Then.. it is nearly time" He hugs Zork's arm, "You have given me hope my friend..."

Zork manages a smile and nods , he would hug the abbot back normally but he is still very very weak, "Yeah...and do..need to talk to you."

Lorimis says, "Of course Zork, my door is always open to you whenever you need to talk"

Zork shakes his head, it's clear its important now, even if he is very much weak and tried still, he still has a seriousness in his voice or tries to. "Lorimis, I..want to..join abbey..Brothers.." His voice trails some and the healer checks him at first worried and then looks at Lorimis "He fell asleep Abbot Lorimis, his breathing and heart rate is a lot better than it was yesterday, he appears out of danger but he has a very long road to recovery"

Lorimis stares at Zork for a moment then smiles gently and leans over to kiss his forehead, "All are welcome... even you Zork... we will welcome you with open arms..."

Zork rests now, out of danger but still very weak and will need a lot of help as the next few days, even weeks come, it’s unclear if he got to hear Lorimis response or not but he can speak further on that another day.
