Zinnia: Where did she go and other answers...

Where did Zinnia go, what happen, she won;t be back..why? Answers are below you just have to read :)

• • • • • Most of this is writings she did on her journeys around the countryside and even the sea a little bit. She won’t be coming back to Redwall Abbey ICLY if your curious, just read and enjoy ******

Day 1:

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Dear Journal,

I am keeping a journal so that this may be read in the future perhaps. It pained me to leave my friends and Uncle Zee, Uncle Oz but I felt I could not stay knowing Xander was still out there, Redwall just seemed less cheerful and I felt I failed as his mother. I stepped down as Recorder and I hope they are able to find another one in my place, perhaps Brother Harper as I know he was once Recorder and is still alive in fact. I am still and will always be a Sister of the order and Redwall order beasts can travel after all and one day return again. I headed south and so far not seen much, I have stayed from any dangers on the path, so no vermin issues and came to a small village called Mossflower Village. Thus village is friends with the abbey I found out, but it’s not as populated as it once was. It’s a little over a day from the abbey, and a little south and west into the woods from St Nihms Church off the forked path. I stayed at the Waterfall Pub, a nice little quit place and got some other supplies and left the next day, yes I just stayed the night and went onwards on my journey. I will write soon as I plan to cover a lot of ground.

Hello Journal,

I know I have not written much, sorry I have been sad as no luck finding Xander as I guess rumors of him being taken south were wrong, but that doesn’t mean I give up, No. I have come to the Great South Stream. I made it across the old bride but it took a while as its old and falling apart, I most likely shouldn’t of, well I can find another way back north if needed. Further south is Southward I heard, but I still have a little ways to go.

Dear Journal,

I am lost, I have lost any train to Southward and have only gone in circles, I ended up going down stream in hopes I would find some small settlement, maybe an otter camp even. I have ran out of supplies and have become ill from a couple bad storms I was caught in. I have not told anyone but my health has not been the best since that one beast , Bramblefur, poisoned me, ( DON'T DRINK THAT TEA! (Redemption of Marek) ) it damaged my lungs and caused me to have serious asthma, which while traveling has gotten worse with the heat and now this weather. I have eaten wild greens, fish and some berries. I will never find Xander, I will never even get back home to Redwall. I am alone and scared and I want Papa, I want Uncle Oz and Uncle Zee.Why..why did I even leave the abbey? I know not, it’s been over a season now and I fear I shall never see home again.

Dear journal,

It’s been a week and I made it to the sea coast, but I have no clue if its upstream or downstream to the badger Mountain, they would help me but I fear I am much too far downstream as an otter maid said it was the great south stream that I walked along, she was a nice otter and seemed worried about me and let me stay a couple days, I left sooner than I should of most likely but I couldn’t stay, I -HAVE- to find Xander. I also fear this past few hours someone is following me and I was warned of slavers, maybe they can just catch me, or maybe I will die here I feel so weak, I lied to the otter maid on the fact I would take her offered supplies, I should of and now as I write I feel so tried, and oddly cold. It is storming now too or getting ready to. There is an abended lean too by some rocks I will lay down and it Martin willing I will either wake to see another day or join my Papa in the dark forest, I oddly feel his sprit near me now he is either protecting me or getting ready to take me with him to the dark forest.

Zinnia lay unconcious by the lean-to and seemed to be barely breathing. She had a fever and shivered some as she had only her abbey robes, now torn and sand covered and it looked like she had lost some weight. She had not been well the past couple weeks in fact, having spent some time in a dusty old inn room, it didn’t help her breathing, the storm didn’t either, it’s been a rather story week on the coast.

A clocked figure checks on her as he speaks in a deep voice “She has a pulse Aira!” He seems glad and goes to pick her up gently and runs off towards a ship.

Aira sighs and takes flight after the cloaked beast, she is a sea gull ”Yeah yeah ya giant oaf! And what do we do with her, do you think she wales up in a strange place, with strange beasts!” She lands on the railing just as the cloaked beast rushes aboard and quickly goes to clean off the badger maid and get her some dry clothing, and a nice warm bed. He is already mixing potions as he is a healer ”She is a fellow badger”

Zinnia whimpers and shivers, her breathing struggled and slow, but she is alive.

The cloaked beast takes off his hood, he is a dark furred badger with oddly a white strip and a black one over dark brown fur, his eyes bright green.” She is staying till well, I was led to that area to help her”

The seagull nods “As ya say Takeo, I just hope she doesn’t die she is fairly bad off”

Takeo nods as he looks down at Zinnia, “I know, but I am a healer and I think her life can be saved”

Aira nods “And what you mean led?”

Takeo shrugs “I can’t explain it, but it was like..a badger with crazy fur, he said I wasn’t allowed to take off on our trip, I was to follow him or else he haunt my dreams for the rest of my life and so I followed and then I…seen her collapse by the rocks and rushed over to help her. And the rest ya be knowing now find me some of those herbs I use”

Aira sighs and flies off ”Yeah yeah big oaf”She returns later in the evening and the two beasts take turns watching over the badger maid.

Days passed and about a week and a half later is when the badger maid awoke and groaned as she opened her eyes, blinked to clear her vision and looked around.

Takeo right away was there with a warm smile and some soup and bread, “Here eat..and drink” There was some cider as well.

Zinnia took the offered food and drink and ate. She ate till she was full, so it took a few cups and bowls and she finally spoke “Where am I..who are you?” She frowned as she thought she felt…..movement?”

Takeo grinned “My ship…my name is Takeo and whom do I have the pleasure of speaking with?..oh and this is my friend Aira the sea gull” Aira nodded and waved a wing.

Zinnia smiled “Sister Zinnia…or just Zinnia is fine of Redwall Abbey.”

“Well why is such a lovely maid so far from a place like that?” Takeo smiled.

Zinnia blushed and smiled at the other badger,”I…was looking for my adopted son but I know not where he is.”

Takeo nodded and offered to help her look.

Over the course of some weeks the two badgers became closer and became more than just friends, they slowly had fallen in love with one another. Zinnia herself had been away over a season now, her son over two seasons now. They were on the great sea and the badger maid had gotten use to the boat now as she walked onto the deck beside Takeo and the two kiss and hug in greeting.

Zinnia looked over the sea and sighed, she was happy but also a little sad at times.

Takeo holds her close “What is it love, Xander again?”

Zinnia nods” But I saw..papa in a dream last night, he said not to worry he would be freed and return to Redwall.”

Aira lands nearby and listens to them as they talk.

Takeo nods “I think he is the one who appeared to me, who helped me find and save your life.” He looks over the waters,” I can have Aira let the beasts of your abbey know you are safe or, you can return there if you..must. But I would not be able to wait, I need to return home, and it’s a large mass of land far from here and…..I do miss it, you have made my life happy Zinnia and gave me a reason to live again when before my world was..dark.”

Zinnia hugs him and gives him a long kiss ”I love you Takeo, and maybe my fate is not to go back to Mossflower, I TRUST Xander will be free one day, I am unsure how or when, but he will be fine..I saw it on the badger lords hidden badger scribe as he let me read it, it showed areas of my life…my future and I didn’t understand it then, but I do now. One was a picture of Xander holding my father’s blade, and me with another badger, but not Xander or either of my uncles, and it was clear it was lands far from the western shores and Mossflower, that badger I know now…is you”

Takeo smiles wide and holds Zinnia in his arms, “I…have an important question to ask. I think I know your reply but do tell me.” He steps back releasing her for a bit as he gets down on one knee, “Will you be my mate, come with me to my homeland?”

Aira watches, smile..can a bird smile? Well she waits to see what will be said.

Zinnia smiles “Yes” Short and simple and sweet reply.

Takeo chuckles and hugs her, twirling her around and grins, he nods to the sea gull” You can deliver a message to her friends yes?”

Zinnia walks over to the sea gull “Let them know I am safe..happy and will always remember them.”

Aira nods, “Of course..Lady Zinnia.”

Zinnia and Takeo kissed and were to be unite in marriage upon the arrive to the islands. Aira soon returned from delivering the message and was happy to see the two badgers now a loving couple.

• • • The rest is stuff that happens over the course of the future***

It would be another half a season before they got to their home, Zinnia and Takeo was wed and became husband and wife, and Zinnia became with dibbun and would give birth to twins when the time was right, a boy and a girl. They would live many happy seasons together, their daughter would be named Northstar and their son after her father Zork. Aira the gull would also be there as their friend, the small village of beasts friends as Lady Zinnia and Lord Takeo, as they were now called, watched over them.

Zinnia and Takeo and their dibbuns Northstar and Zork were happy, and the family was blessed with a little sister for the twins, one was named Tanya. So the happy family shared many more seasons together, and was even able to greet grandchildren and great grandchildren in the seasons to come.

• • • Well there is my story of Zinnia and why she won’t be back to Redwall Abbey, I hope you all liked it as I though a happy ending as good and I talked to a couple players and got the ok got the ok for ghostly visitors and it never was said what all Zinnia saw in the badger writing about her that day she and Lord Ciocan spoke and she finally was able to overcome her father’s death and trust again. And I know from ooc chats with Jedrick and Xander that Xander gets free one way or another and gets to have THE BLADE OF THE NORTHWING STORMS one day in his paw…well this is all as I now end my Redwall Muck time, it was enjoyable and thank you all for your times of role playing. That message from Aira would arrive most likely around mid-September so Zee or Oz could get that, or maybe Dorarose since she is the gate keeper, the letter is this, and would have the journal as well.

Dear friends,

I am fine and happy. I am sorry I will not be returning to Mossflower as I have gone off to live with my soon to be mate Takeo . I can try and send letters when I can but the lands are far across the great sea, I will miss you all.
