Zee gets Captured (Redemption of Marek)
RW Abbey: Great Hall
The Great Hall of Redwall Abbey. Countless paw falls have echoed from these stones, and untold numbers of feasts and merry gatherings have been held here. A table, not nearly so grand or large as its predecessors, but quite functional for mealtimes, rests near the center of the hall. Chairs exist here aplenty, and they are all of a matching set. High above, the stain glass windows give the Great Hall a beautiful appearance. The glasswork is exceptionally done, crafted by a skilled artist. The floor is clean and swept. A fire is kept burning in the fireplace at almost all times of the day and night, and there are several more comfortable chairs and cushions set up here, of varying sizes. One looks large enough to easily accommodate a badger.
The Tapestry hangs proud and tall, and while the rest of Redwall may still bear the scars of natural disaster, this most famous of Redwall's relics remains unharmed by beast, time, or the elements. The figure of Martin the Warrior seems to be watching over his own with an unchanging, kindly gaze.
Soft light is slowly beginning to filter in through the stained glass windows high above your head.

Zork is relaxing in his wheelchair by the fireplace, there is still snow on the ground so he has yet to really do anything at his forge, then again he is to take the time off.
Zee steps in front of Zork, his presence singled by the loud thud of his large staff and he stops right in front of Zork, “Ya needs a good whack on de head boy! Leave detail like that from ya letters..”
Zork ‘s eyes snap open as he blinks and then grins “Uncle Zee..err wot detail in me letter? OH by de way tis good to see you”
Zee takes the staff and whacks Zork on the head, not too hard but enough to hurt, “Ye forgot ta tell me yer little brother were blind! Ya think that were not important boy, leave out a minor detail like that. Ya poor father and mother be ashamed of ye if they were still alive, I am de one that suppose’ te forget things. I be de older one ere’ ”
Zork glares at Zee, “Wait I put that…err..I didn’t put that in the letters, thought I did” He rubs his head.
Leon comes into the room about this time and frowns, “Please don’t be hitting Zork on the head, he has enough problems as it is sir.”
Zee turns to see Leon, ”He has a weak heart not a weak head lad.” He turns his attention back to Zork again, “I am getting’ outta ere’..gonna go ta Ferravale”
Leon asks “Ferravale? You’re welcome to stay here if you like”
Zee shakes his head “I like de ale thar, I will sent a message as soon as I gets thar and unlike some beats I won’t forget details that be important.” He mutters something and slowly leaves the room, his over large staff thumbing the floor loudly as he leaves, it takes him some time but he gets to the gate and heads on his way to Ferravale. Most beasts it takes a little under half a day, for this old badger it will take a little over a whole day of walking.
- About a day passes, or not even a day just yet as after Zee stops for a meal break and a nap, he wakes to trouble somewhere just a little ways from the path that heads to Ferravale***
Coldclaw shakes his head, “You dimwit..listen ok the boss made it clear look for a really old badger and you found him . Not many old badgers are around so he can’t be that hard to find.”
The rat with him just rolls his eyes, “Yeah, yeah, do ya know how dangerous a badger is, he could go all red eyed on us and then what Coldclaw, huh then what?” The 2nd rat , also with them, nods in agreement . Unseen is a cat staying a little away from the group, a longbow over his shoulders and staying mainly cloaked.
Zee slows down and listens as he hears voices and slips behind a tree to try and locate the owner of the voices.
The cloaked form catches sight of Zee and finds his knockout arrows and lines one up on his longbow and takes aim, but waits for the right moment.
Coldclaw smirks, “Might be fun, sides there is that one beast that would pay good coin for that blacksmith, we could force him to work for us and then maybe sell him to that one beast, or better yet keep him for ourselves. We need good weapons and armor if we are one day to become a force to be feared and we can grow in numbers if we have a way to get good weapons and armor. No more of those cheap things for us no more.”
The two rats nod at this, “So like….where do we look for him?” One rat asks, the other shrugs as if they don’t have a clue.
Zee takes a hold of his large staff and goes to take a less noticeable path towards the woods, it will take a little more time to get to Ferravale but maybe he can avoid trouble and send word of these beasts to the abbey.
Coldclaw sees the badger and draws both his blades, “Going somewhere stripedog?” He grins coldly as he says the name slowly, knowing it could be dangerous to use the term but also not caring.” Heard ya know about Blacksmithing.”
The two rats back up just a little but draw forth daggers and get into a fighting position. One then decides to try and make a move to injure the badger.
The cloaked archer simply waits for the right moment to fire off his arrow, this badger seems to move slow so shouldn’t be too hard to keep aimed on his target.
Zee arches an eyebrow and answers the question, “I should say I do..me family knows lots and I know some of course, see thar were always a blacksmith in de family and thar still is one now, though probably won’t be passed down, least in the family line. I could tell ya lots on blacksmithing but I don’t think you are the type to listen to long and ya look and smell like trouble and tis one thing I dislike and that’s trouble” He goes to slam the staff into the rat’s head that gets too close to him,” Back off vermin”
Coldclaw narrows his eyes as he goes to swing one of his blades at the badger, “You need to be silent and shut up.”
The rat that made the move to injure the old badger learns his mistake too late as he falls limply to the ground, the other rat backs off and hides behind Coldclaw now clearly afraid of the badger, “ Maybe we should forget it..leave while we can”
Zee spins his staff to block the blade, “Ya vermin be a pain, yeah listen ta ya pal ere’ and get a goin’ back down de road, or else ya will find something far worse. I can tell ya about de time me and this other beast, good friend of mine, had ta fight off these vermin now that was a tale I WILL BE HAPPY to tell ye, ya just listen now..” And he goes on and on in great detail of a fight he had in his younger seasons for what seems like forever and rarely takes a breath as he talks.
The cloaked beast chooses now to fire the knockout arrow and he rarely misses, he aims for the badgers shoulder and the arrow sails towards its target.
Zee is still talking “And then ya want ta know wot happen well…errrr.” The arrow hit his shoulder and he yanks it out and looks at it as his vision blurs and he falls forwards in the snow, the knockout arrow taking effect.
Coldcalw gasps and barely gets out of the way, first his blade was blocked and then the badger seemed to want to chat, way too much in fact as he looks downwards at the unconcious badger in relief , “Great seasons, I thought he NEVER shut up. Now we get him back to the camp and tie him up with the strong rope and, oh yeah put a gag on his mouth so he can’t talk, if I hear another word from his mouth I will scream.”
The cloaked archer jumps down and walks over, “Let’s go before we are seen.” He makes a low sound that’s similar to a dove and a fox shows up to help get the badger to the camp.
The rat goes to follow them out. The other rat stays behind cause…well he is dead.
Coldclaw grabs the dead rat and throws him into the ice filled river nearby, the rats weapons now belong to him. Why throw him in the river? Simple, leave no clues behind of what happen.
Zee remains out cold as he is taken to where ever this campsite is , the knockout arrow still in his shoulder and his staff being buried by some snow that starting to fall, a fairly heavy bit of snow it looks like for the next hour or so and will most likely leave a good 4-6 inches on the ground and cover any tracks as well.
