Eastern Shore: Surgeon's Tent

Kentar is lying in bed, covered by the blankets, staring at the world above him. Its nice. Its brown and its made of some sort of cloth. Or something. He doesn't know. The stoat just lays there, thinking to himself. Hasn't said much since he busted those stitches.

Aikuen enters the tent from the outside, after a nice walk with Fira. They are both ready to get back on home. She is expecting very soon, and she rather not have it here, if she can help it. Aik shakes of the dew that has collected on him, before going back to sit on his chair, next to the stoat "Hey... Kenty..." he mumbles.

Kentar hrms and looks up, sitting up slowly. "Hey Aik." he smiles a little bit but the stoat blinks at the mumbles. "Er. Something wrong?" he's got a fairly good guess about what, but he's not sure.

Aikuen smiles some, and pats him on the shoulder, "Not much. Just Fira is ready to get on out of here. She rather not give birth here, at a military camp. But we wont leave without you so..." he nods, "So were going to wait, till you get better and stuff..."

Kentar ahs and nods slowly. "Ah yes. The healers said I could leave tomorrow. Since they've got me my own wheelchair. Looks better then Amy's, don't it?" he grins, pointing to his own next to his bed. "After bursting the stitches on my leg...they're not very happy. So they're making me wheel around in that thing. Robin thinks its cool." He laughs. "He said he'd be happy to push me around." he grins. "But I want to wait a day or two extra. Jasper's arranging something for us. Don't know what." he shrugs. The rat isn't here. Seem's like he's well enough to go about his life again.

Aikuen tilts his head and looks over the stoat, to look at the chair. He blinks a bit, and goes wide eyed at the mention that his stitches popped. He goes to rest his head in his paws, and rubs his temples. Kinda the opposite in healing that he wanted. He sighs, and tries very hard to not slap the stupid stoat, "Nah... Really!..." he says sarcastically, "The reason they are so mad... It that you could have lost your leg, if you pulled it out..." he shakes his head, "They healed it back up i assume..." he frowns.

Kentar ergs and nods a little. "Yeah, they did." he sighs. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bust them, okay? I went outside with the crutch and sat on a rock with Will and Amy. I sort of forgot about my leg and stood up. I'm sorry." he frowns.

Aikuen grumbles and runs a paw through his headfur, "Its... Fine..." he looks to him, "But next time, you will do what your told... I don't want to see you lose an appendage... but ill cut it off... if need be..." he shakes his head, seeming to lose his chipper mood from this morning. He likes being chippy, "Anyway... I gave Fira back her ring..." he holds up his own claw, showing his own ring, "And Kluner should be here before nightfall. I sent one the soldiers for him..." he nods slowly

Kentar sighs. "AIk. They said as long as I walked with the crutch, I could leave the tent. I mean it was only just outside." he says. "Not far at all." the stoat sighs again and lays back. "I didn't mean to...okay?" he then nods a little. "Good." is all he says on the matter of the rings and Kluna.

Aikuen shakes his head, "I know you could walk with the crutch. I know. You put weight on it. That's what happened... That's what i, and they... told you NOT to do..." he sighs, "But I'm assuming its an accident so..." he shrugs and leans back as well.

Kentar nods. "Yes. It was an accident. It was a big one, but it was one." he nods. "I'm sorry, okay? I'll be more careful. I'm just not used to using one leg." he frowns a little then sighs as he closes his eye. "I'm sorry." he whispers back quietly.

Aikuen pats him on the shoulder, and gives him a smile, "Its fine... If it was me... I'd want to get out of here, as soon as i possibly could!" he laughs, and reminds himself of what happened to him a few months ago, "In fact i did..." he chuckles.

Kentar hums and chuckles a little but still seems a tad upset. "Yeah. You did." he says quietly. "You shouldn't have." he laughs before grinning a little. "So, I just payed you back." he laughs nice and loud before yawning.

Aikuen scoffs and nudges him, "Yah, well I didn't pop my stitches now did I!" he Hmmm, before laughing, "So you get to take in the carrots from the harvest, when we get back..." he points him on the nose.

Kentar laughs and smirks. "No, but you worried and made me mad." he laughs. "Anyways, yeah, I'll be fine by then so sure!" he grins then laughs at the nose poke. "Ow! That hurt! WAI!" he laughs.

Aikuen ohs, shrugs, and laughs all at the same time, "Good! Cause Ill be too busy with mini-otters to be doing the harvest. If there is any left..." he hmms and rolls his eyes, "Oh you big baby... Want me to kiss it to make it better?" he laughs, and makes a face in disgust.

Kentar laughs a little bit then hrms a little. "Have you two thought of names yet?" he asks. "Agreed on any I mean." The stoat chuckles then laughs and nods. "Wess peas!" he laughs and shoves the otter lightly.

Aikuen hmms, and shrugs, "Not really. Haven't really discussed it yet. She wants to see what the little otter looks like. Before we start naming him... or her..." he grins, "But it wont be bedford... no wait... bread-ford... I don't know... But it was the one name she didn't want..." he laughs and kisses the stoats nose lightly... with his knuckles, "Take that you..." he laughs.

Kentar chuckles and nods before blinking. "Bread-ford?" he asks. "What kind of...OW!" the knuckles to his nose makes him pretend he just got punched. He falls back into the bed and grips his face, pretending to cry.

Aikuen rolls his eyes, "Oh you..." he barely even tapped him, his knuckles just made contact. The otter leans back, and puts hit footpaws on the stoats cot, "Go ahead an cry... Just see me do stuff..." he grins, and waves away a healer, who came to investigate.

Kentar peers out from around his paws then laughs again. "Heheh, come on. You have to laugh a little. Just a little." he grins. "Pleeease?" the stoat then sits up and yawns. "So. How've you been?"

Aikuen looks to him, and grins, "Ha....Ha..........Ha...." he snorts, "I've been good. Me and Fira celebrated out first season anniversary yesterday." he nods, "That was fun..." and lovey-dovey as anything. "Reason i wasn't here last night..." he hmms to himself.

Kentar laughs a little and nods slowly. "Sounds like you enjoyed yourself." he smiles then thinks for a moment. "I sort of got something else for Garnet...you know. Better then a ship." he smiles.

Aikuen smiles and nods, "We did!" he chuckles and tilts his head, "You did? What.... How?" he thinks about it, to make sure he got it right, "You told me one day... that you were going to give her a ship... then you were captured the next day... and then you have been here the whole time..." he blinks, "What is it?"

Kentar hms a little and nods. "Yes. But that was the ship we got captured on and after some thought, I don't think she'd want...that ship." he says before scratching his head. "Anyways. Jasper owed me a favor and well. He pulled some strings for me with some of the village allies and traders and well." he pulls out a box. Its a necklace box but its thicker. He opens it. Inside is a beautiful golden necklace and then a matching ring with some sort of jewel. Its red. There's another red stone in the necklace. Several smaller ones of course. "What do you think?" he asks. "I don't know what he traded for it, but it must have been expensive."

Aikuen nods a bit until the stoat show the box. He blinks at it, and then goes wide eyed at the necklace and his mouth hangs open a little, "Holy... crud..." he blinks at it. Seeming lost for words. After a bit he gains a little bit more of his composure and says, "It looks great mate... She will love it..." he chuckles.

Kentar chuckles a little and nods. "Yeah. I'm sure she will." he smiles. "I'm a little nervous though. Jasper said these are rare. And I've never seen any of. Er. These in my life." he motions to the stones. Rubies. They're not big, probably not very valuable, but very beautiful. "So." he chuckles. "I hope she likes them." he nods. "Not as big as a ship, but...yeah"

Aikuen nods, "Aye they are rare... There called rubies... I think..." he blinks and shrugs, "I think they are a type of gem. Not sure though..." he hmms, "But she will like this... then any ship. Cause face it... what would she do with ship..." he laughs.

Kentar blinks and looks to them. "Wow. Really? I've heard of these." he nods. "Looks great though." Then huhs and laughs loud. "Haha, yeah. Very true. Not sure. Too big to put in the molehall and we can't stick it in our gardens, so." He laughs. "But yeah, this will be much better."

Aikuen winks and shoves him lightly, "It looks fantastic mate..." he grins, "I'm sure she will love it... or you can sell if not..." he smiles. Always an upside isn't there! "It'll be great. I'm sure! I mean Fira liked my rock..." it was a very sentimental moment.

Kentar sets the box away and laughs a little bit. "Yeah. But that was...er. A rock..." he then grins. "And Fira." he laughs loud then braces to get hit.

Aikuen tilts his head not really getting whatever he said, "Yah it was a rock.... And it was Fira..." he then eyes him, "What are you insinuating...." he blinks at him. Hopefully its something else than what he is thinking. Or else the otter will let him have it.

Kentar grins a little. "Nothing, nothing at all." he laughs a little again but braces to be hit once more. He's expecting it so it must be bad.

Aikuen tilts his head at him, "Are you saying that it was JUST a rock..." he eyes him.

Aikuen doesn't punch him yet. He probable wont, "You do realize that my rock is more valuable than the necklace... you do know that right..." he starts off, and waits.

"More valuable to the ground, maybe." The stoat replies, still cowering, and laughing.

Aikuen punches the stoat in the shoulder, "I MADE my gift. I put my heart and soul into the rock. I worked on it. I worked my claws. You know why! Cause i did it for her... I made it for her. I put my heart and soul in it... for her... And my gift means more to her... than any jewelry on the face of the earth..." he seems off put, "It just shows how much i care, and love... my wife..."

Kentar ows and laughs then laughs harder before nodding. "Yeah, yeah, I know." he smiles a little. "I'm just making fun of you Aik." he smiles.

Aikuen is not going to shut up. You have made him mad, "I've always been... this poor otter. Who cant buy anything for anyone... Well i can... I just don't..." he frowns, "I have always believed that... buying a gift... or getting a pre made gift. Is just impersonal... and shows that you don't care enough..." he says bluntly, "That's why, if i can, will always make my gifts. Cause she means something to me..."

Kentar blinks and rubs his shoulder lightly. "Sheesh, I was just joking." he frowns. "If you seriously can't take a joke, leave." he states bluntly. He doesn't want his friend to be mad at him for something he didn't mean.

Aikuen sighs, "I'm sorry Kentar. I can usually take jokes. But... that one hurt me. And... I couldn't let it down. This is something that means a lot to me... and you just don't joke about it... you just don't... I'm sorry..." he sighs and rubs his temples again.

Kentar sighs and shakes his head. "I'm sorry, Aik. But still, overreaction." he nods. That's what he thinks anyways. He's not feeling well enough to be punched.

Aikuen leans back in his chair, "Its my fault. And my reaction was normal. That really hurt me mate... Like more than you think... Its like you punched me in the face, and then laughed at me..." he sighs, "I'm sorry..."

Kentar sighs and scratches his head. "Look. I didn't mean to hurt you. Its not my fault it did, okay?" he says. "You really, shouldn't have punched me over that. Not over that. Not over a joke and not over something I didn't mean." he really isn't very happy himself. So, he lays back down and rolls on his side, away from Aik

Aikuen grunts, "You best be glad that i didn't punch you in the face... And i barely punched you. I still need you heal, and having your shoulder broken is not the way that works..." he frowns, "I didn't know it was a joke. I didn't know, you didn't mean it... until it was too late... I said i was sorry, and i mean it. And now you know not to make fun of the fact... that i act poor..." When the stoat rolls away he sighs, "I am very... truly... sorry mate... Ill leave if you want me too..."

The stoat says nothing. Not yet. He thinks quietly for a few moments before pulling the blankets over his head. After a moment or two, the blankets fly off, and he shoots up, fur all fuzzy and the goofiest look he can manage. "OOOOOO!" he tries to scare and make the otter laugh. Its better then the bad mood he's in.

Aikuen was up and on his way out. Cause Kentar didn't say anything. Assumes it was a yes. And he just happen to be looking in the direction of the stoat when he pops up. He ecks loudly, and falls backwards, "HOLY -!" he curses as he is freaked out and lands on his bottom. He rubs his head and looks up at the stoat. He blinks at him and chuckles, "Okay... i deserved that..." he laughs and stands back up, "Ow... my rump..." he rubs it and laughs loudly.

Kentar grins wide and then laughs. The stoat pushes down his fur and starts a laughing fit. "Haha! You...s-s-should have seen your face...hahaa" he laughs, tears falling since he's laughing so hard.

Aikuen rolls his eyes at the stoat and laughs along with him, "Bet it was something. You scared the bajebbers out of me..." he grins and goes back to sitting in his chair, "Yah yah laughs it up mate! I was scared, and a fell down... Hilarious!" he chuckles.

Kentar grins. "Well it worked. I lightened your mood." he laughs and then smirks. "Your funny looking when your scared." he laughs.

Aikuen snorts, "Well Thanks mate. But next time, just tell a joke..." he points to his bottom, "Cause my butt will really appreciate it..." he laughs, "I never seen that. So I'm guessing it is!" he chuckles.

Kentar chuckles and nods a little. "Heheh, sorry, Aik." he grins. "But yeah, yeah, I'll just tell a joke next time. Although it was vengeance for my shoulder." he laughs and grins a little evilly.

Aikuen rubs his bottom again, "I think your shoulder has been successfully avenged!" he laughs, and pokes the cot the stoat is on, "Anymore vengeance... Should i be expecting?"

Kentar laughs and nods before thinking. "Naw, I'm good for right now, thanks." he chuckles a bit. "But if you want, I could push you off the chair." he smirks.

Aikuen goes wide eyed and scoots his chair a little bit farther from the stoat, "Nah, I'm good. But... Ill let you know..." he snorts, "Just in case... and stuff..." he laughs, "So hows my favorite stoat eh!" now that they are on better, more happier things.

Kentar laughs a bit at the moving. He slowly then shrugs. "I'm doing better, thank you." he says. "Still sore. But I'm able to lay back on my back again. Not much pain anymore. Although..." he thinks then shakes his head. "Never mind."

Aikuen sighs and looks to the stoat, "Glad to hear about that... And what is it Kentar... Please tell me!" he smiles at him. He is just trying to get information from him, "What else ails yah?

Kentar thinks for a few moment then sighs. "I keep having nightmares. Every night. Even worse each night. Ever since we got back from the capture." he sighs. "And...well. I'm good at hiding it, but." he looks towards the door to the tent. "I'm scared to go out there. I did it when the rats where here. I got bored and they were there, and I really wanted to talk to them. But..." he scratches his ear again

Aikuen tilts his head at him, "Really?" he hmms, "I've had those before... But not as much as you described... Lets see..." he hums to himself, "We can immerse you in the outside..." he cant really think of any solution, "Just support from your friends and family. Till you get through it..." he nods

The stoat thinks for a bit then shrugs. "I still don't really want to go out there. Outside has been. Different. Since I got back. I don't know how or why. Its just. Different." he looks out there but then shakes his head.

Aikuen scratches his nose, "What do you mean? Like you are afraid of it... or are you seeing things... differently... Like describe it..." he knows a little bit of mental healing, but not much. Maybe he can help.

Kentar shrugs and then thinks for a few more moments. "I don't know. Its just. I'm scared of going out there." he says. "Seeing things? No. Not yet anyways." he says.

Aikuen scratches his chin now, "Hmmm.... Well good. So far..." he then says, "The only thing i can tell you is to immerse you in the outside... Just help you get used to it... or get over it... Would you like to do that? Ill push you around and stuff" he slowly nods.

Kentar shakes his head. "No. I'd. Really, really rather not. Not until I have to. Tomorrow." he says. "Jasper's arranged something for tomorrow. On the beach." he nods. "Then...only then." he really sounds afraid. Not like him.

Aikuen nods, and doesn't push it, "Okay Okay. Just making a suggestion and such..." he sighs and pats him on the shoulder, before leaning back in his chair and closing his eyes. After a bit he says softly "I wonder what it could be... And Why..."

Kentar shrugs a little bit. "I don't know. Robin and Jasper think its because the last time I went outside before I was captured, I almost lost my wife. My son." he says. "They think...that I'm scared to go back outside incase it happens again." he shrugs. "I honestly, don't know."

Aikuen blinks at him and shakes his head, "Not that. Though that could be a reason.... I was talking about what Jasper has got planned... That what i was asking" he hmms.

Kentar huhs and ohs a little bit. "Right. Okay." he nods. "I know what it is." he grins a little. "But I won't be telling you." he laughs.

Aikuen sits up and says, with a pout, "You do?! Awwww! Tell me! PLEASE! I must know! Its going to kill me!" He falls on the cot and starts to mock sob, "WAI! The mean stoat wont tell me! WAI!" he laughs in between fake sobs.

Kentar grins a little and thinks. "Okay. Well. You remember that reward he talked about? That's what he's going to give you." He laughs a little.

Aikuen grins and pops up to sit back on his chair, "Really!?" Now he wonders why its such a bit thing then, "I wonder what it could be..." he looks very amused, "I must know..." he strokes his chin, "Must use all my detective skills to figure out this problem..." he hmms, and laughs.

Kentar laughs and grins. "Well, you know. I think its a medal or something." He shrugs. "But wow, he's happy." he laughs. "That you saved his life and all that." He grins.

Aikuen smiles, "A medal? Really?" he chuckles, "All i did was stitch him up, and carried him back. But I'm still happy though..." he grins, "That's neat. I'm glad to do it all the same. Even without a reward..." he shrugs, and goes back to leaning in his chair.

Kentar laughs a little and nods. "Don't worry. You carried him out. Could have left him there to die. You didn't. So." he smiles softly.

Aikuen nods, "I know. I would never leave him behind. Even though we were looking for you... He is your old friend. And if i didn't save him. You would have probably killed me instead..." he laughs

Kentar laughs and grins slowly, the stoat nodding slowly. "Trust me, I would kill you. I really would have. Fira or not." he says. Just goes to show how much he likes Jasper. "Even though your my best friend now, he saved my life many, many times."

Aikuen laughs, "If you would have killed me... Fira would have killed you... Angry widowed mother! And an otter!" he stretches his paw, "She has got some sort of grip..." he laughs, "I'm glad to know where your priorities are... And good thing i saved him huh!" he grins.

Kentar laughs a little. "If it makes you feel better, if your positions had have been swapped and you were the one captured with me, and Jasper had have left you, I'd have killed him too." he laughs slightly.

Aikuen grins, "Oh good then! That makes me happy!" he grins, "Makes me feel better... to hear that. Still I'm glad to have saved him, all the same." he yawns and blinks.

Kentar nods and laughs a bit and nods. "I think he's glad too." he smiles softly. "Anyways. Seems like your tired, mate." he smirks.

"Or what would be left of him after Mum got through with him," Will grins coming in. He and Amy had spent the day out on the beach again they'd even had a picnic kind of. Well more like grazing on stuff he'd packed through the day as they watched the tides go in and out and talked. They'd gone over their plans so far for their wedding to be sure they were both in agreement and one hadn't change their mind about something and not told the other. The rat walks into the tent pushing Amy's chair in front of him, when she'd fallen asleep he'd taken it as a sign to head back.

Aikuen looks to him and smirks right back, "Well I am... sue me..." he grins, "May go take a nap in a minute... May have to go find Mrs. Tazan. She wanted to take a last swim in the ocean, before the kit came..." he chuckles, "She looked really funny... when swimming" he makes a motion of a big belly, and laughs. He yawns and waves lazily to the rats. Keeping quiet for Amy's sake.

Kentar laughs and grins, nodding slowly. "Yeah, I can imagine." he chuckles a little bit before yawning himself. "Don't do that." he then nods before looking to the rats. "Hey Will." he says quietly with a smile.

Will waves at the otter. He can't help but smile at the thought of Fira swimming, with as round as she's gotten. "Hey," he greets the stoat finding a spot for Amy's chair and a seat for himself. "You doing ok now," he asks, "Haven't seen you when your awake much since you got hurt."

Aikuen laughs at the stoat, "Yawn Yawn Yawn" he grins and leans back in his chair, closing his eyes, and humming quietly. He is very tired, but will try to stay up as much as he can.

Kentar shrugs a little at Will's question. "I'm great. Feeling much better. Though Tired. Although not as tired as Aik sounds." he laughs a little before grinning at the otter.

Will chuckles, "Good t know you're doing better. You talk t th healers about getting a chair like Amy's to use yet?" he asks.

Kentar points to a wheelchair on the other side of his cot. "Yeah, I did." he smiles. "Robin finds it hard to push me around with one arm though." he laughs a little, pointing to the stoat's sleeping form on the floor near the chair.

Will sits backwards on his chair. Aikuen has drifted off in his, to join Amy in dreamland. Will yawns a little, it seems to be going around, and asks the stoat, "When do th healers say you'll be able t leave?"

The stoat shrugs a little. "They said that I can leave tomorrow but there's something tomorrow we have to attend. Well. Aik and I have to tell." he chuckles a little bit. "So...two days I guess and we can leave." he smiles a little bit.

Will nods a little, "Ok. So two more days and then we can head home."

Kentar nods. "Yeah. I'm looking forward to it." he smiles weakly, completely lying.

Will asks, "You ok, Kentar? I'll be quite if ya need t rest or something."

Kentar hums and shrugs. "I'm fine." he smiles. "Don't worry. I don't need...*yawn*...rest" he says with a blink and quiet chuckle. "See, I'm fine."

Will grins, "Course not. ...... What's going on tomorrow?"

Kentar grins and then shrugs. "Jasper has arranged something for us. Wants us to be on the beach I think."

Will nods, "Ok. When on th beach tomorrow? Morning? Afternoon? When?"

Kentar hrms. "Think its the evening but I'm not sure." he says with a thoughtful look.

Will mms, "We can ask him tomorrow or maybe he'll send somebeast here t get us when it's time."

The stoat nods slowly. "He said he'd send somebeast." Kentar smiles a little before yawning again.

Will nods again, "That's good. We should all probably get some sleep then. Might be a long day tomorrow." The rat moves over to help the still sleeping Amethyst onto a cot and lays down himself though he's not too sleepy yet.

Kentar yawns and nods, laying back slowly and covering himself more with the blankets. "Mm. Looking forward to tomorrow." he chuckles then drifts off.
