An hour or two passed since Malcolm woke up. The lizard was furious with the whole situation and started wandering down the beach. He had captured the glowing bugs again and let them go only a moment ago to send them up as a distress signal so anyone nearby could see where he was. "Yeah. Sure. Go and die at sea. Of course. Orphan you're ONLY son." he grumbles, hands in the pockets of his torn tunic. "No one ever cares about me. Why is that? Oh yeah, cause everyone's too stupid." he grumbles, looking down and picking up a rock, hurling it at the water with all his strength. "SO YOU WENT AND LEFT ME ALONE WITH THOSE IDIOTS! ARGH!" he shouts, the screaming echoing in the air. He lands on his knees and hands, staring at the sand, panting, and finally, at long last, a tear rolls down his cheek.

The bird gave a general direction to take, and after a bit of asking around the wildcat ended his way up here. He looks a bit more dry now at least, but he grumbles and groans as another sea breeze blows through him, "Bloody hell, " He looks about, spots the lizard. Not that Mal is exactly hard to spot, "Oh, you, " His disappointment is written all over his face unfortunately, he had hoped the lizard mentioned by the bird would be Angus but he quickly forces a smile, "Glad ya survived!" (Amos)

Malcolm doesn't spot the feline right away. It isn't until he properly sits up, and when he hears the lie of being glad. "What do you want?" he asks, rubbing away his eyes quickly. The lizard looks up slowly and frowns. "Oh! Its you." he shakes his head, looking away. "Thought you died or something." he mutters. He's almost too bad. But then he remembers. He quickly jumps up and looks as angry as he can, even though there is some worry that gets through. "Where's Angus? Did he make it?"

Okay so Amos is a terrible liar, but Mal as often as not is usually a pain in everyone's backsides and at least he was trying to be civil. His included, wasn't long ago they were shouting at each other before the boat sank, "Look, ya dad is a tough ol' feller and ain't no amount of water gonna kill him. You'll see!"

Malcolm's failed angry attempt just fails even more as it vanishes when he's told his father ISN'T there. His heart sinks and he droops a little before turning away and folding his arms. "Shame." he replies quietly, starting to walk down the beach again. "And yet you survived. What'd you do? Use his body as a floaty thing?" that would have been an awesome idea, aside from the fact that since Angus is so heavy, he might sink more easily than he'd float.

"No, we got thrown in entirely different directions I think and me and Dangeon got carried south of here, " Amos answers honestly and shrugs, "What about you, bird said there were two furs with you."

Malcolm keeps walking for another moment, but stops. "Sure you didn't just abandon him or something?" he frowns even more, keeping it hidden from Amos. "Uhm. Yeah, Frigg and that Sandy." he frowns. "Dangeon survived? Oh jeez. I'm happy now!"

"It was a bloody small boat, and a big ocean. You were there, you should know, " Amos follows after him, keeping a good distance between them, "Ain't no reason to get snarky kid, your dad never gave up on you so you shouldn't be going and giving up on him so readily."

Malcolm keeps going, but doesn't bother looking back. "Yeah, small cause you're too bloody cheap." he replies. "If you had spent more, we could have had a better boat and wouldn't be here right now, and Angus would still be alive. Its your fault we're even in this mess."

"I told ya, ya da' ain't dead, and I paid more than the value of that so called boat at your father's insisting I might add, " Amos grumbles, "Was his bloody idea in the first place, but you shouldn't be going and giving up on him. He's alive and ya aught to be ashamed for thinking otherwise!"

Malcolm shrugs his shoulders a little bit. "He ain't my dad...just Angus." he replies, but its obvious he cares for the older lizard more than he's interested in actually admitting. He stops in the beach and looks towards the feline. "And just how do you know, huh?" he tilts his head. "How do you know, Stubb, Angus and whoever else was on that boat aint dead?!" he shakes his head. "They're all dead and its your fault."

This is getting Amos nowhere but seeing as they have to work together he grits his teeth and answers honestly, "I don't know if he's dead or not, but I ain't giving up on him or Stubb, or anyone else for that matter until I see proof that says otherwise. Now, I got a gut feeling that ya da' ain't that easy to kill and that's enough to keep hope that they'll make it alright."

Malcolm shrugs again. "Whatever." he says. "I'll believe he's not dead when he's standing in front of me." he replies before looking around, pointing to the sea. "Oh my word, what's that!?!" he asks, and as soon as Amos looks away, he runs away quietly, trying to find Frigg and Sandy again to tell them the 'good' news.

Amos turns away to let the kid get away, but a hulking dragon on a wide open beach isn't exactly unnoticed as Mal runs away. Still he lets the lizard go, moving off in the other direction to find Dangeon.
