The Wedding of Former Captain Aikuen Tazan and Fira Govi

Characters: Aikuen, Kentar, Fira, Will, Amethyst

Location: Moledeep

Moledeep: Rose Garden

Its a warm summer day over the Rose Garden of Moledeep. The afternoon sun lights down, as an otter bounces on his footpaws. He hums lightly as he waits for this day, to finally come into being. He looks like he always does, except he has taken off all his weapons, and the only thing he carries is a small head wreath of flowers, in his paw. There is also two gold rings in his pocket. He chuckles lightly as he goes from bouncing, to slightly pacing as he checks the bushes... a nervous habit for him. He picks one of the rose buds and talks to it, "I'm not nervous..." as he laughs and places the bud on the wreath.

Kentar is standing near Aikuen, in the middle of what they could consider a walk way. His proper place since he was asked to actually do the marriage thingy. Kluner is there too. Well, somewhere. He's not sure where. The stoat chuckles and smiles at Aikuen. "There's nothing to be nervous about." he smiles. "Is there?" he asks, laughing a little. "The worse thing she can do is say no..." he pauses, trying to make him more nervous. "But I'm sure she wont." he smiles before tilting his head. "Actually. The worse she can do is smack you then run away..."

Fira has spent the morning keeping busy, they now have far too much jam but it kept her from getting too panicky before she neatened herself up and got ready. It's not a big change, she doesn't have any fancy clothes and she's usually fairly neat anyway. She's mostly paid attention to her fur, make sure it all goes the right way and her hair's as good as she can make it, she did tuck a little flower behind one ear just to make it obvious that she's tried and she kind of likes it. No more avoiding the nervousness though, she can't be late. She's quiet as she makes her way into the gardens, spying out the others and attempting somewhat of an elegant entrance, well, what she imagines to be elegant anyway.

Aikuen looks to Kentar and glares daggers, "Not today... i don't need it please!" as what he said begins to eat at him, "Well i wasn't nervous before... NOW I AM!" he sneers, and then laughs. He then goes to stand next to the stoat, "I'd rather she slap me, then say 'no'... the 'no' is much worse..." He pulls out one of the gold rings and rubs it in his paws. The ring is solid gold, and has very intricate engraving around the edge. This particular ring is too small for Aik. It was made for her, "Thanks for being here... Oh my... Fira!" he spies her in the corner of his eyes and goes to look at her up and down, openmouthed. After a bit he smiles, a big ole' smile, and says, "You look Great!" he chuckles, and places the ring back in his pocket.

Kentar smiles and grins a little. "I know. That was my whole point, you weird otter." he smiles. "I made sure you were nervous." The stoat laughs before looking at the ring. "Well. I can slap you if you want." he chuckles before looking down to see Fira. He smiles and looks to Aikuen's reaction, a chuckle escape his muzzle. The stoat stays quiet and watches them for a few moments.

Fira starts to grin soon as Aikuen looks her way, it helps settle a few stomach butterflies. She walks on until she's besides Aik, tiny little nod going to Kentar before she's looking at the other otter again, big big grin "Thanks"

Aikuen cant keep his eyes off of her own eyes. He chuckles, placing the wreath atop her head, just settled behind the ears. He keeps looking at her, until he finally has to look to Kentar, and says, "Well... Were both here..." He then look back to her, and goes to hold both of her paws in his, "Nervous? I'm not nervous! Heh...heh..." he chuckles, and keeps his smile painted on his face.

Kentar chuckles and smiles at them both. "Yeah. You are." he then grins at Aikuen before peering around to see if Will is here or not. Just to be sure.

Fira lets Aikuen balance the wreath on her head, staring back at him for a minute before Kentar has to have some attention and she sort of stands so she can see the both of them at once while keeping her paws with Aik. The mention of nervousness gets a little smirk, she believes the stoat, he is nervous.

Will had dragged Racky out to attend the wedding and the fox dibbun is sitting up though still sound asleep. He's propped up with some blankets so he at least /looks/ like he's partly awake. Will stands next to him with Amy in case Racky wakes up, or Amy opens her mouth.

Aikuen takes a deep breath and looks to the stoat, "Okay... we're all here... and we're ready... Would you like to begin?" he absentmindedly rubs the top of Fira's paws with his thumbs. He is nervous, not much, but just enough. He looks to Fira again and laughs, as he stops rubbing, "Eh... sorry..." He takes another deep breath, waiting for the stoat to begin.

Kentar nods a little and looks at Will, Fira, and then Aikuen. "Alright then." he's nervous himself. He doesn't want to mess up. But he just tries to remember his first wedding. No, bad idea. "We're gathered here today, to join this otter, and this otter..." he motions to them both. "...In the bonds of matrimony." he smiles. His paws are shaking a little, nervous he might mess up their special day.

Fira smirks faintly at Aikuen's rubbing, helps distract her too but then Kentar's speaking and she has to pay attention. This is it! Now she's /really/ nervous. Still manages to keep the smile going though. Outer shell of calm while her stomach ties itself in a knot.

Amethyst smirks a little at the way Kentar worded things. To her it seems he forgot to use the otters names when he was supposed to and she finds it amusing. Otherwise she is behaving herself.

Will is quietly whispering descriptions of visual parts of the wedding to Amy for obvious reasons while playing with something in his pocket. He's fully dressed for the occasion though he now wishes they hadn't picked Summer for it.

Aikuen grips Fira's paws tighter then he normally would, as the stoat begins. He feels Fira beginning to get really nervous in his paws, and he chuckles silently. At this fact, the nervousness that he is feeling is washing away, and tries to help Fira, by tickling her paws with his claw. He takes quick glances around, before looking back to Fira's eyes. When the stoat get to a point, he looks to him and wonder if he should start talking, or does he have more to say? Been a long time, and the details are a bit foggy. It doesn't really matter, were all friends here... no reason to get all messed up for something like this

Kentar smiles a little and then takes a deep breath. "If anybeast should see any reason why these two should not be joined, speak now or forever hold your..." he pauses trying to think the word that always comes after. "...Peace..." he nods, looking around between, Racky, Amy, and Will, wondering if anyone says they object. He wants to, sorta, only cause Garnet is missing out, but other then that.

Will has no objections and while Racky is sleeping he probably won't mind having a mother when he next wakes up the rat figures.

Amethyst says nothing, having been talked to ahead of time.

Fira gives Aikuen's a little squeeze back, she can't look directly at him cause she has to also read Kentar's lips but corner of her eye is watching him and she looks happy. She's not sure of the right words to the whole thing anyway and with Kentar's question she gives the gathering of dibbuns that are their guests a look. No objections, good!

Aikuen tries not to look around, when the stoat asks that question. Its not like he doesn't think that they would object... But you can never be too sure about these things. After the silence he sighs and gets ready for the next part... as the words that he was gonna say, seem to drip from his brain.

Kentar looks around. "No one? No one at all?" he grins a little at the otters before smiling to Aikuen. "Well, as you've written your own vows..." he looks at Aikuen. "Go ahead." he nods at Aikuen and smiles a little, wondering if Aikuen will make any mistakes. Sort of hoping so he can have something to make fun of him later with.

Aikuen, when he gets his cue, takes the ring from his pocket, and places it on her ring claw softly. He smiles as he looks to his love, and the words begin to fly back to him. He grins and begins his vows, "Fira, with this ring, I give you my promise... that from this day forward... you will not walk alone. My heart will be your shelter... and my arms will be your home. I hope that you will feel deeply loved, for you greatly are. I... give you my heart, for I have no greater gift to give... I feel so honored to call you my best friend, my wife, my own. We will feel this joy forever, as I choose you as the beast who I want to spend the rest of my life with... for life seems meaningless, without you." He takes a deep breath, and continues, "I promise to cherish, honor, trust... and above all, Love you... until the day that death separates us. And no matter how bad things get, I will always keep my promises, to hold you in the highest of regard, and to always be there for you... when no other beast will... Fira,

Fira, I love you with all my heart..." He takes another deep breath as he finishes, and smiles.

Fira's eyes fix back on Aikuen and start to go all soft as he talks, she may be very girly and cry, she's holding onto it so far. Her smile's grown back into a big grin again and there's a little sniff. She's fine. Gripping his paw again after the ring's on her finger, give his paw a squeeze. She wants to respond, really, really, really just wants to hug him but she's not sure if she's allowed to in a wedding so she resists, barely. A little subtle look goes to Kentar "My turn?" only one of the adults who hasn't had a wedding before, she needs to know when she's supposed to speak, she doesn't want to screw things up.

Kentar smiles and looks to Fira, nodding. "Aye, its your turn." he smiles before looking to Aikuen and giving a wink but with only one eye, it looks just like a blink.

Fira looks back to Aikuen again, never mind further words from anyone, she's making eye contact. There's a small pause before she starts talking "I didn't really know what to say for this point before, I still don't completely. How do you put into words a feeling so strong yet subtle as love?...I love you more than I ever thought it was possible to love anything and I promise I will always be there, I couldn't imagine my life any other way than with you in it. Through the good or bad, all the crazy times and the odd quiet evening in between, I'll be there, happily as your wife...And I'd promise with a ring too but you have it in your pocket" the grin's completely taken over, gone very red under the fur too. Thank seasons for fur.

Aikuen also has a hard time, of not grabbing her and just twirling until he is too tired to continue on. He smiles a great smile, and even shows a little fang in the mix, he is that happy. The words she said are implanted in his mind forever. He keeps his eyes locked with her, up until the point about the ring. He blinks a few times and Ohs, and lets go, just to take the ring out of his pocket and hands it too her, before locking paws again. It totally slipped his mind. He squeezes her other paw gently, and chuckles. Must maintain stability, don't grab her... just not yet.

Will waits anxiously to see if there will be more talking or if it's over now. He never went to many weddings and those he did go to he doesn't remember much about except there was usually cake or something similar to eat.

Amethyst also wonders if it's about over and if there's anything planed for after or will they just go back to their normal every day lives again.

Fira smirks just a little at the ring, taking it off of Aikuen only to put it back on his ring finger instead. She finally gives Kentar a little glance again after that

Kentar grins at them. "By the power given to me by the two of you." he grins. "I now pronounce you, husband and wife." he gives a -long- pause. "You may now kiss the bride." he smiles at them both.

Amethyst, staff in paw turns to leave assuming the wedding is now over, she can't see if they've kissed yet but doubt it would take much time. She turns back around feeling herself being pulled back to where she was. She rolls her eyes and waits to be dismissed.

Will had noticed Amy beginning to wander off and had grabbed her wrist to keep her next to him til the wedding was actually over

Aikuen rubs at the ring at it is placed on his claw, and he wishes for Kentar to finish faster... or else there may be flying otters very soon. When the stoat finally gives the signal, and those faithful words, this otter doesn't need to be told twice! He goes and pulls Fira very close to him, wrapping his arms around her, and planting a very long kiss on her. During the process he actually picks her up on accident, and begins to twirl on the spot, still not removing his lips from hers.

Fira is more patient than Aikuen but she knows just enough about weddings to at least know that means it's over. There's no pause from Fira either as she moves towards Aik, aided by him pulling her over and her arms go around his neck as she kisses him back. There's a squeak of surprise as she leaves the ground, but it becomes a hint of a laugh a second later, though it won't become a proper laugh until after the kiss ends.

Kentar starts to clap and smile at them. "Congratulations!" he smiles several times before grinning. "So...Who's next!?" he looks around, grinning, then peering to Amy and Will. "Nah, not yet." he smirks.

Will joins in the claping and hollers, "Hooray! Congratulations!"

Amethyst manages a smile and claps a little since everyone else is. She doesn't say anything though.

Aikuen continues to kiss and twirl her for the longest time, until he finally removes his lips from hers. He looks back into her eyes and blinks a few times as he sees that she got higher all of a sudden. He laughs as realizes what he has done, and places her carefully back down again, "Sorry about that! Just got... carried away!" he continues to laugh, and keeps a hold of her, not wanting this moment to end.

Fira can probably be forgiven for not catching the congratulations, after all she's deaf and Aikuen is distracting her. She grins back down at him from her elevated position, now she's laughing. She aims a small bat of the paw at his chest soon as she's safely back on the ground. Keeps an arm wrapped round him though, the other paw just going to rest on the chest she hit. She glances round, sees clapping. Another grin.

Kentar slowly stops clapping and gives a sad smile to the ground before wordlessly heading back in to Moledeep, quiet as a mouse.

Aikuen fake ufs as his chest is slapped, still with a smile on his face. Giving her a squeeze, and placing his free paw on top of her paw that's on his chest. He laughs and says "Hey! That was rude to do to your new husband! Haha" He sees Kentar leaving out of the corner of his eye and looks to him, "Eh? Kentar where yah off to? Kentar?" but too late as the stoat is lost from view. He looks back to Fira and shrugs. Not today... not dealing with it today, maybe later. He gives her another hug, and says, "We're finally married!" and chuckles, giving her another small kiss on the cheek.

Amethyst takes this a the cue that it's over and tries to leave for the second time.

Will doesn't stop the rat-maid this time since it /is/ over or seems to be. He smiles at the otters not sure what comes next, if anything.

Fira smirks back at Aikuen "Start as you mean to go on" she does spot beasts leaving but she'll worry about Kentar later and Amy is Amy. She aims a little squeeze of a hug at Aikuen "Come on, celebratory meal I should think. I'll cook. Will, hungry?"

Will looks around, Kentar and Amy are both gone and Racky's still asleep, no wonder it got so quiet all the sudden. He turns to Fira and nods, "Yeah I am. What are ya gonna make?"

Aikuen sticks his tongues at her, and says, "Food? At a wedding? That's unheard of!" He laughs as he, once again, goes to pick her up in his arms, one under her back and the other under her knees. He says, "I got yah! Me little fish!" as he begins to walk toward Moledeep, and adds to what Will said "Yah me darling! Whats cookin'! " he laughs a little and slows for his son to keep up. He also starts to think up more pet name for his new wife, FiFi?... think about it later... much later.

Fira is not a poodle, FiFi would never do. She laughs once more as yet again she's no longer touching the ground "Well I'm thinking fish now, just so long as it's not me."

Aikuen nods, "You? A Fish? Oh goody!" and goes to act like is nibbling on her nose, he laughs and says, "And I think I still have some hardtack left... and you gatta try it! Its good when I make it! Like one of those honeyoatcakethings, they are very tasty!" He laughs as he carries his new wife, over the 'threshold' into Moledeep.

Will asks, "Do we have any fish ... for eating?" Fish does sound good but Aikuen had said the the Moss River was off limits so unless there's some fish in the larder or kitchen they won't be having fish he decides. He follows the otters inside.

Fira notices the threshold go by. It's a good day "Alright, fish, hardtack and something or other. If we don't have fish I'll find some!" she points ahead "To the kitchen!" since she's being carried and all.

Will laughs and continues to follow his parents to the kitchen. He smiles to himself while again fiddling with something in his pocket, yes this has been a very good day.

Aikuen winks at Fira and says in a sailors voice, "Aye! Aye! Captain!" he chuckles as he carries her into the kitchen. This was such a good day. And it doesn't really matter if there is fish or not, that's not the point. Captain Aikuen Tazan... after so many years of being alone, angry, and lost... has finally found someone to call his own. There is no greater feeling, then to hold the one you love. And this otter, is.
