The Day Started Ok, But Didn't Stay That Way...
- I got on as Lorimis a short while…a quiet morning in the rose garden turns into anything but that for him and Starlight and they quickly go to Oz’s room while Zork and Zarola start to fight in the open ground***
RW Abbey: Late Rose Garden
The Rose garden offers solitude and peace from every-day life of the abbey. A feeling of tranquility is presented through the roses and the open area that seems to flow over everything around.
Buds stud the plants along with greenery that shows through the last remnants of icicles that simplly /won't/ leave. The last vestige of the winter snow has long since melted from the trainquil little spot -- seeing as it's a popular place for young couples it's no wonder that the new carpet of grass under foot is now trampled flat. As it matures it will come back, but for now, it can remain flat. The little buds are already showing their colors, even a few of the early-bloomers beginning to come out and open up. A lovely place to represent spring, no?

Lorimis stands in the rose garden shortly after the morning meal to have some time to relax and here he can usually be alone most of the time.
Starlight is here also playing with some rose petals that fell off a couple roses, she giggles and adds the pink and red rose petals and some white cover flowers to string she found and walks over to the abbot," It’s pretty do you like it?"
Lorimis looks over at the otter dibbun and smiles, "Yes Starlight, it’s very nice. How are you today?"
Starlight smiles, "I am okies today, made it for you it’s a necklace."
Lorimis smiles and takes the necklace and puts it on," I will go ahead and wear this today, thank you Starlight."
Starlight giggles as he places it on and does a couple cartwheels in the garden enjoying some time outside for once.
Lorimis watches the dibbun and sits down on one of the benches, "Today looks like it will be sunny, perhaps it will cheer our friends up, what do you think Starlight?"
Starlight nods "Yes it will and soon all bad vermins will go away"
Lorimis manages a chuckle, "Yes the bad beast will leave the abbey one day, soon I hope"
Starlight hugs him and smiles at the abbot, "And then we have lots more fun"
Lorimis returns the hug "Yes that does sound like a good idea. A feast maybe once everyone has recovered, but that’s for after we get our abbey back"
Starlight nods "We will get the abbey back soons, you just wait and see"
Stepping into view about now and catching the last statement is someone neither one of them would rather see, "Oh? Is that zoooo?" It's the large monitor Lizard Zarola.
Lorimis frowns, "Oh..my, you must be Zarola"
Starlight lets out a scream, yeah not the best thing to see right now and starts to back off so she can run away, but there isn't very many places to run right now.
Zarola doesn’t seem to care if the dibbun screams or even who she is with as her tail moves back and forth and she looks between both of them, "Well, well..izzzzzz you enjoying this placezzzz, no one izzz to be here right now." She watches the otter back away and hisses and shows her fangs, "Goinnzzzz zzzomewhere, I think not...I thinkzzz not." She goes to block her path.
Lorimis frowns and looks at the monitor "Now wait a darn minute, there is no need to scare the child."
Starlight whimpers and goes to stand beside the abbot as she looks for a way to run.
Zarola hisses as she suddenly takes her view off the otter dibbun and looks at Lorimis, "Youzzz telling me what to do, izzz a misstake!"
Lorimis backs up a little himself now and whispers to Starlight, "When I say run, run as fast as you can to the dorms, I will follow you."
Starlight nods slowly and gulps a little.
Zarola looks between them, moving slightly and in doing so creates a way to get past her. "You izzz staying here."
Lorimis frowns, "I think not, sorry. RUN!" He easily gets past the lizard and to the open ground.
Starlight doesn’t question it and just runs
RW Abbey: Open Ground
The Open Ground is a place for feasts, good times and just general social meetings. The wide-open space allows a large group of beasts to gather upon the plush grass and chat. But it also allows access to many places of the abbey, towards the walls of the abbey is the Bell Tower. Notable abbey defenders graves alongside the plot of land the massive structure takes up. A staircase shrouded by a case of stone allows one to make their way to the busy infirmary. The large brass lined doors to the lower dormitory are also evident from this position.
Spring brings soggy grass -- though green, now -- in this open ground. The ground is saturated with melting snows and spring rains, causing muddy spots to dot the field here and there. Green growth is sprouting up everywhere, taking over the tiny bits of snow that can still be spotted hither and yon in secluded areas of the open ground. All and all a cheery scene, with the new growth and such -- but hazardous for the unwary.

Zarola follows the two close behind, she is not as interested in the abbot, it’s mainly the dibbun she wants but she will take either one.
Zork happens to be in the open ground or about to be when he sees Lorimis, Starlight and narrows his eyes when he sees Zarola.
Lorimis has rarely run or it’s been a while since he has and when he is almost to the dorms door he trips over his habit falling to the wet ground. He isn’t hurt and somehow manages to keep his glasses on.
Starlight can run pretty fast, and frowns when she sees Lorimis trip and heads back over to him to help him up.
Zarola hisses looking down at both of them, "Gamezzzz over."
Having quickly rushed to where the weapons are, yes they made a mistake to trust him with the keys, yeah mix their weapons with the few the abbey has, easy to get to cause oh he will just fix OUR armor and weapons and not there touch his own or pay a price, well he has decided he doesn’t care as he comes marching right back, the very, very large Blade of The Northwind Storms clearly in his paws, "No Zarola, its only just started!" He snarls, "Get AWAY from Lorimis and Starlight!!"
Lorimis frowns as he looks up at the monitor, and hearing Zork he only relaxes slightly taking ahold of Starlight’s paw in his.
Starlight whimpers loudly and tries to hide her face in Lorimis robes.
Zarola spins around to see Zork and grins, "Izzzz the badger, come to playzzzz?"
Zork snarls at the monitor, he has been up all day and all night and well this is the next day, tried or not he faces the monitor as he takes a few deep breaths, he speaks calmly as he steps in between them, "Lorimis..Starlight go ta Ozzy's room..me and Zarola goings ta have a chat"
Lorimis frowns at the idea of a fight but takes Starlight and quickly leaves, "Come starlight dear"
Starlight now starts wailing and follows Lorimis.
RW Abbey: Badger Mother's Room
The room you enter is rather neat and almost spartanly furnished, quite a visual contrast if you entered from the cluttered Dibbun's room adjacent. The warm red of the sandstone walls is the primary motif, broken in only a few places. There's a small leaded glass window for light, a bed (rather massive, which might give one a hint at it's occupant) with a coverlet of brightly dyed and woven cloth and a small table with a chair; this is holding a small pile of books and papers, a candle in it's holder and a couple odd Dibbun toys that ended up there somehow. The only real ornament in the room is a middle sized, carefully framed parchment: a charcoal and ink drawing of some group or family of badgers.

Starlight comes bolting into the room, crying loudly and hides under the bed.
Lorimis enters shortly afterwards a little out of breath.
Oz wakes up and sits up “What is going on?”
Starlight answers “Bad lizard!”
Lorimis frowns as he gets to Oz, ”That monitor Zarola, showed up in the rose garden, she and Zork are fighting I think”
- I had to go at this point, Lorimis and Starlight are in Oz’s room to stay safe from Zarola…but what of Zork?..They can only hope he will be ok***
