Stella Captured
Stella walks down the road humming a tune, she usually don't travel this time of day but wanted to get to the abbey sooner rather than later and she is not waiting on anyone to go with her, so she is alone.
Although the road looks peaceful and quiet, looks can be deceiving. All day, four vermin have sat, watching the travelers on the path, waiting for an opportunity to strike. And now, Stella is that opportunity. A rat, obviously the leader, grins maliciously as he raises his shield and steps out onto the road, the other three, a fox, a weasel, and a stoat, stand behind him, blocking the mousemaid's passage. They are all armed, the weasel and stoat with bows, the fox with a large two pawed sword, and the lead rat with a shield and an axe. "Now where da yew think yer goin', missy?" the head rat smirks.
Stella stops and starts to back up a little as she sees the armed beasts and frowns, "Umm, why do you need to know?” She looks around for a way around the vermin in her path and frowns at the bow beast starting to get nervous.
Both the weasel and stoat knock arrows to their bows with lopsided toothy grins plastered on their faces. The stoat ventures a giggling snort as Stella answers and he aims his shaft at the mouse maid, but has yet to draw the arrow. The weasel is a bit more business though and remains silent as he lines up his own shot and draws back his feathered shaft.
The rat steps forwards, chuckling, "We were jus' wonderin'. Yew see, it kin be dangerous travelin' these roads alone. Ya never know what type a beast ya might meet, ain't dat right Berin?" he asks. The fox, who has a few recently broken teeth in his grin, nod, "Uh huh."
Stella frowns, "Then why are archers pointing arrows at me?" She looks at the others, "I am just going to the abbey, so…please excuse me.", She starts to get more nervous now and looks for a way to move forwards which she tries to do real slow.
Chuckles come again from the stoat as he begins to toy with the arrow he has on his string, he half draws the bow, then takes the pressure off repeatedly as he waits for what he knows comes next. The weasel remains still with his bow drawn and his aim centered on the mouse maid’s chest, he tracks her motions easily as she tries to side step the group.
The rat advances upon her, slinging his shield over his shoulder, his axe still in one paw. He chuckles as his face draws near hers, his breath surely stinking, "Because love, we're tha reason it's dangerous ta travel alone." he laughs cruelly as he reaches out, grabbing for the mouse maid's wrist with a grimy paw. Behind him the fox stands ready, just in case Stella tries something, which is doubtful.
Stella gags on the smell of the Rats breath and that’s just enough to distract her, she coughs and as he wrist is grabbed she screams, "Let go of me! Help!" she screams hoping someone is nearby to help.
The mouse's screaming just seems to encourage the rat, as he laughs more, Berin chuckling too. He digs his claws into her wrist, pulling her to him, "Yer comin' wit' us, missy. Nikita will be happy to see ya!" he laughs once more, the sound becoming gradually more obnoxious each time he does it. Even the fox comments on it. "Oi, Dobbs, stop wit' the laugh, somebeast'll hear ya an' den we'll get ourselves caught. The rat frowns and stops laughing, but he still keeps a firm grip on his prize the mouse.
Stella tries to pull away and kicks at the rat that has her wrist, blood trickles down her arm as the claws go into her wrists some, "Let go!" she screams again, hoping she is heard by some beast on the road.
Dobbs growls, "Oh, shut it, yew idiot. Nobeast is gonna hear ya. Yer screamin's more annoyin' dan my laughing." He chuckles at his little joke. "Now come wit' us, ow, ow, stop dat!" he says, doing his best to dodge her kicks and keep a firm hold of her. He draws his axe back and readies to knock her out with the wooden grip if she doesn’t stop soon.
Stella still kicks at him and glares now, "YOU CAN'T do this to me, release me!" She goes to try and bite his finger to make him release her
The rat scowls at her, "I can an' I will, now shut up!" he brings the hard wood of the axe handle down on her temple. The two archers relax and Berin resheathes his sword.
Stella is knocked out instantly and slumps to the ground, she is alive but will not be waking up anytime too soon.
