Sorry to wake you... Feel like putting those weapons away?
Redwall Abbey, Great Hall
Ahndia, squirrel and Timothy, mouse
Sorry this is so short! It was fun, however, and I figured I would log it. :) Enjoy!
Ahndia comes stepping down the stairs carefully, looking around a tall pile of blankets and sheets. They drag slightly on the floor, but the novice squirrel doesn't seem to mind. Her fluffy tail is held high, flicking slightly behind her. She halts momentairily as she reaches the ground floor, allowing a group of dibbuns to be ushured past her. She notices no one in particular in the Great Hall. Sighing, she continues her walk to the doors, and then realizes that there /is/ someone she doesn't know by the tapestry. She turns towards him and nearly falls over as she bumps into another squirrel novice. He stammers and blushes- Ahndia grins a toothy grin and dumps the washing on him. "Thanks for taking care of that, Scotty!" She cries as he goes to bring it to the pond and she, in turn, makes her way to the tapestry.
Timothy lets out a quiet sigh as he shifts in his chair, apparently asleep. Leaning against his chair is a trio of bodkin tipped javelins and a wooden round-shield. The mouse is taller than the norm, that is plain to see even when sitting... and slouched in slumber. "Mmmph..."
Ahndia walks over and opens her mouth to greet him, then realizes that the mouse is asleep! And has weapons... She turns to once again see if she knows anyone, and, sighing, rubbing her forhead in exasperation, resigns herself to waking this creature up alone. She reaches out a paw, standing on the side of the chair where there are /not/ javelins, and shakes his shoulder gently. "Sir?"
Timothy jumps to as his shoulder is touched, sitting straight back up into his seat. "Hmm... wha? Who's there?" This of course is remedied by a quick turn of his head, blinking a couple of times. "Oh hello... "
Ahndia backs up a pace as he wakes, withdrawing her paw. She bobs a small curtsey. "Hello sir! Sorry to wake you." She flashes him a rueful grin as she stands to her fullest height and clasps her paws polietly behind her. "I'm Novice Ahndia."
Timothy yawns and reaches up to scritch behind an ear. "Mmmph.... I'm Timothy, a sort of Jack of every trade." The mouse stretches his arms out next with a pop or two. "Pleasure to meet ya, how long have I been down here I wonder?"
"Nice to meet you, too, Mr. Timothy!" Comes the exuberant reply from Ahndia. "And I have no idea. I only just realized we had someone new in the Hall. It couldn't have been terribly long though- Otherwise someone would have brought you upstairs." She re-clasps her paws in front of her, idly playing with her bracelet-cuff. "Erm. I'm sorry Mr. Timothy, but I, um. Have to ask you to give your weapons to a guard... they aren't allowed in the abbey..." She coughs hesitantly, not used to telling beasts what to do. All she does is greet newcomers and do chores!
Timothy hmms to himself. "Just Timothy is all thank you... I uh... don't really know how i would have gotten in here in the first place if that was the case. Perhaps someone is getting lax in their duties... you think perhaps that i would be able to request to have my sabre remain on my person? It has sentimental value even if it is just a rusted peice of metal." The mouse looks rather hopefull "In any case, even if I'm not allowed, point me there and I'll go turn 'em in, cept the shield... the shield must stay, i feel bare without it."
Ahndia nods, still turning that cuff around and around on her wrist. "Just Timothy. Ok!" She chirps, pointing to the main doors. "The gatehouse is just out there- it's a little hard to miss. Ask any one of the guards about the saber. I'm sure they won't mind." She smiles, ignoring the comment about someone 'getting lax in their duties.' "Thank you M-" She cuts herself off. "Timothy. Well, I have to return to my duties- I'm suppoed to be doing laundry." She makes a face and waves as she runs upstairs to get more things to clean at the pond.
