Settling Back In

Characters: Benar, Will, Aikuen, Fira, Kentar, Garnet(spoof)

Location: Redwall Abbey: Kitchen Yard, Pond, Infirmary

Abbey: Kitchen Yard

Benar is in the kiln as usual, the Novice is wearing a pair of shorts and a vest, his habit hung up on a peg as he slowly gets to work on a lump of clay. Arms slick with water and clay up to his elbows as he works steadily on the mixture.

Will in a borrowed habit, much to his displeasure, walks out to the kitchen yard after Mayeul's advice hadn't worked out. His head is turned to the left as usual to see better. He spies Benar and calls over, "Hello there! We're back!"

Benar mmmms and looks up and smiles, "William hello welcome back to re...." he stares, "What... What happened?" he is so surprised he looses control and clay goes everywhere.

"Whoa!" the rat cries out getting splattered with clay, "Hey! What do you mean what happened?" he asks puzzled since of those that left with him on the trip only Kentar and Aikuen had been really hurt.

Benar blinks, "Your eye! William what happened to your eye!" he starts to gather up clay and sighs, "Ruined it."

The rat put a paw up to his good eye confused for a moment, "My eye ... nothings the .... Oh, thought everyone knew about that by now. Vermin fox dragged me off while ago and ..." he shrugs, "He did much worse t Kentar. Kentar's in the infirmary all bandaged up all over now ... he's lucky he got away. That overdressed t-beast was in there lookin for beasts t send after th fox, yeah askin th ones what barely got away from him with their lifes t go an kill him works real good." he shakes his head. "Kentar talked Zen out of going though and with Mayeul should be on his way here ... hopfully he killed the fox."

Benar frowns, "Has anyone spoken to the Champion about this? Surely this is his job to be hunting down vicious vermin?" he pats a stall next to him. "Come and sit down... I am glad you are safe."

Will walks over and sits down, "Flicky knows about it, yes. I lost my eye before he was champion but when we were coming back from our trip we ran into th vermin fox again and he took Kentar who just got away from him yesterday." He chews his lip some, "I suppose th Order's been keepin ya busy seein that most beast already know about my eye being gone. It's good t be back." he put a paw out and touches one of the wheels, "Don't know how well I can do this anymore but can't much worse then you just did when ya saw me."

Benar smiles and hugs the young rat, sliming up his habit with clay. "Nonsense, you can still still do clay! It will just take a bit longer to learn is all. I hope they catch that fox and put a stop to him.

Will nods a little feeling clay smudge across his face as he's hugged, he quickly pulls away from the squirrel and turn his back to him to remove his eye patch and wipe it off, "Sorry, got clay on it don't want t get it in anywhere it shouldn't." The rat wipes the patch off on a less clay cover portion of his habit before putting the patch back on and making sure it cover his empty eye socket properly before turning back around, "Sorry about that."

Benar sits back on his stall and sighs, "No no it is ok William... if there is anything, anything at all I can do to help you let me know ok? Now.. what say we give the wheel a go?"

Will shrugs, "Th healers were gonna put a fake eye in but it wouldn't stay in and I don't think too many beasts would like it if I didn't have it covered or somethin'." The rat digs in his pack and pulls out a very wet tin, "I forgot t take a bucket .... hope this worked," he shakes the tin a little and water can be heard sloshing inside it, "It might have worked," the rat says unlatching the lid of the tin and passing it to Benar.

Benar mms and reaches over to take the tin and peers inside, "What is it? And mmm well the eye patch makes you look like a pirate. Where did you get sharkskin from?

Will says, "It's clay from th East Shore like I told ya about, don't know if it's still usable though." At the pirate comment he sighs, "So I've heard. Pa made it with some he had left over from makin my sling, it's in th gate house."

The rat nods and walks over to fetch the barrel and then a bucket of water fresh from the kitchen pump.

Benar prods the clay and pours some of the water over it, once he has it wet he pours the oil over it and starts to knead it with his paws and claws "Ok just got to work the water in and the oil helps the water to stick."

Will nods watching with interest. "Is there any of that green clay left?" he asks remembering Aikuen was going to talk to Fira soon, maybe even today.

Benar looks up and shakes his head, "I am afraid not, I used the last of the green clay about two weeks ago."

The rat curses under his breath and pick another color to work with instead, "Next time I'm by th River I'll see if there's anymore of it."

Benar asks, "Well me and you could go out and pick up a supply? I am running quite low and the new Abbott does not mind if I go out to pick things up.

Will nods some as he starts to get back into the hang of using the kiln, now with only one eye. "... stupid fox ... I know it's been a while but still shouldn't be this hard ..." he grumbles to himself as he shapes the clay.

Benar smiles and carries on kneading and shaping the yellow clay. "I am sorry for your eye Will, no one should loose an eye like that. Especially not as young as yuo are."

Will blinks a bit, "Wait, new Abbot? Isn't Nic the Abbot?" he asks.

Benar smiles softly, "Nicodemus has retired to go live with his wife. Lorimus is now the Abbot of Redwall abbey. FLicktail is the Redwall Champion, He wields the sword of martin.

Will nods slowly, "We heard about Flicky on th road when we were coming back and I saw him yesterday but he didn't say anythin about Nic not being Abbot anymore."

Benar asks, "Oh? Well that was lapse of him, Nicodemus has gone to live with his wife and Lorimus is now the abbot of Redwall Abbey.

Will's ear twitches, "You said that. Just lost a eye, ears still work fine even if they are a little ragged anymore. Maybe Flicky just forgot cause he talked like Nic was still th Abbot .... Nic will still come by now and then though right?"

Benar says, "Of course Nicodemus will still come on round and see us all when he is able to do so."

The rat nods, "That's good, but I'd thought Nic would do th wedding how ever that works but suppose th new Abbot can do that when the time comes."

Benar asks, "Oh? What wedding are we talking about? Who is getting married?"

"Shouldn't say til after she says 'yes' not that she won't but Pa might not like it if everyone knew before he even asks her," Will replies finishing the bowl he's been working on.

Benar scritches his chin and nods, "Ok... i'll not ask. But yes I would imagine the father abbot would perform any wedding ceremonies now.

Will sits back slowly stopping the wheel, "I'm done." he squints at the bowl he made, "I guess it's ok. I have the feeling I'll be out here a lot this summer.

Benar smiles and walks over to examine the bowl, lifting it up gently and smiling "Hey not bad kid, not bad at all. Lets pop it in the kiln to bake.

Will gets up to go wash his paws off, "Alroight. I think I'll go over to th pond and see how Pa's doin, with his leg being hurt an all."

Benar washes his paws and arms in a bowl of water and pulls his habit back on. "Well can i come over? I want to meet your father.

Will blinks again, "You must have been busy for a /long/ time if you haven't met Aikuen yet. We'll see what he's doing anyway.

Benar walks out of the orchard with William in tow. " I have been learning how to read and how to be a Novice, I've not had much spare time."

Will nods, "Ah. Pa's getting better at reading English himself, he couldn't read it at all before."

Abbey Pond

Aikuen looks around, and smiles, "Well i could tell you... But you must promise... not to tell anyone!" He chuckles, and gets awfully close to her again and smiles, having a hard time keeping it in. He doesn't see or hear the others.

Will grins hearing Fira's comment. He says quietly to Benar, "That's Aikuen, he's my pa but he's busy right now. You can met him later. We /shouldn't/ bother them."

Benar looks over toward the two and inclines his head, "Yes we shouldn't interupt them if they are busy."

Aikuen winks, and says, "Alright... My se-ca-ret is..." He smiles evilly, "You are the most beautiful creature i have ever meet, and i want to be with you forever..." He pulls out an ornamental box from his pocket, and opens it, showing a gold ring with a wooden inset. A green stone is set at the top. He smiles again, "Fira...I love you with every fiber of my heart... will you do me the honor, and marry me..." He bites his tongue.

Fira starts to grin when the compliments begin but as the ring comes out it changes to surprise, her usually stationary ears actually going back as he eyes widen a little...must draw her eyes off of it to catch the words though and the grin's just starting to creep back again. Tiny pause for the brain to whirr back into life and get over the shock "...Alright" and a little more firmly as she refinds her tongue and nods one, grinning wide "Yes! Course I'll marry you" practically pouncing at him to give him a hug.

Aikuen tilts his head at the 'alright' but then she gave a definite yes, and he just explodes with happiness. He takes the hug and rolls with it, so their rolling around the ground, and he is saying...or more like blabbing out loud, "Yes?!?!... YES!!! Oh Fira! Hooyoo! You don't know how that makes me feel! Oh Fira! Yahoo!" He stops rolling, and gives her the biggest kiss anybeast has ever seen. Good thing he managed to close the box, or else it would be lost to the ground. After the kiss, he takes her left paw then taking the ring from the box, he places it on her ring claw. Its a perfect fit, and he just cant stop smiling!

Will leaves the pond and goes into the Abbey and Benar follows to return to his duties.

Abbey Infirmary

Will walks into the infirmary, "You any better today, Kentar?" he asks sitting down on an empty bed.

Kentar is laying in a bed next to the one Will sat on. Slowly, the stoat looks over and nodding a bit. "Yeah...I can talk much better now, since the effects of the rope around my neck are gone." he says. "Still extremely sore. But they've managed to help out with the pain. How are you?"

The rat shrugs, "Fine. Was at th kiln with Benar some .... lot harder t use with one eye. Passed Pa an Fira at th pond."

Kentar nods slowly and chuckles, slowly sitting up. "Ow..." he shrugs before looking to Will. "Wonder if he's asked her to marry him yet." he chuckles.

Will says, "Don't know, looked like he was still talkin to her so he might not have yet when I passed by but he will soon. I'm sure she'll say yes."

Kentar nods and chuckles. "Yeah...sure she will." he smiles before trying to scratch his head, it not quite working well. "So...er...are you mad at me?" he asks.

Will tries to think why'd he'd be mad at the stoat and can't find a reason so he says, "Not that I know of ... why?"

Kentar sighs. "Cause I got captured. Kept for a few days. Tortured, left with things I don't want to live with that I'll have to...Thought you'd be calling me stupid stoat or something"

Will chews his lip a while, "I'm not mad at you for that and you're not really stupid, just stubborn sometimes. So is Pa."

Kentar nods a little. "I'm still sorry about getting myself captured and doing something stupid..." he says quietly.

Will sighs, "... when you're better we'll go home and get t work fixing things up and maybe after a while you'll feel better about it," he shrugs, "Not much I can say .... You're not th only stupid one though."

Kentar nods a bit. "They said I'll be here for at least a week before I can leave. Not aloud to get up either..." The stoat then sighs. "Also said I'll be walking with a bit of a limp for the rest of my life. Thanks to a big splinter in my thigh from being dragged a while..." he sighs. "Will do what I can at home though." he smiles.

Will nods, "So in a week or two we'll go home and start fixin it up ... if Racky's awake we'll get him t help ya or at least put him t work. We won't make ya do anything ya can't do an even if ya limp you'll still be able t walk and that's a good deal more then I'd have thought when you first came in here."

Kentar nods too. "There will be a few more long term things but...I don't really want to get into any of that...I'll tell Aikuen but..."

Will nods again, "It's alright, ya don't have t tell me ... unless ya think I need t know. I'm glad you're gonna get better.

Kentar nods slowly. "I just don't want you to think as me as if I changed...even though I have."

Will shrugs a little, "Don't worry about it, you haven't changed too much ... you're still Kentar."

Kentar nods a bit and smiles though the bandages. "Thank you..." he then thinks. "So what did I miss while I was away? Where's Skuld?"

Will says, "Not very much happened. We tried t think of a plan t rescue you if Mayeul wasn't able to and Pa was really mad and went kinda crazy one night but he was better th next day. Garnet's somewhere around here and Skuld didn't want t come in so who knows where she went off to.

Kentar nods slowly. "G-Garnet?" he asks. "She...is...is she okay?" he asks. "I haven't...seen her yet..."

Will says, "I think so, she was in here when they brought you in. She was real happy t see you but she couldn't stay in here ... you looked awful when you came in, can't really blame her. I think one of th Sister has been showing her around and looking after her and stuff."

Kentar nods slowly. "I guess." he then looks towards the door. "Next time you see her...can you get her to visit?" he asks. "And same with Aikuen..."

Will nods, "Yeah when I see her again I'll send her to ya." He stands up, "I'm gonna see if Pa's told Fira yet ... should have he's had plenty of time. If they're not busy I'll send him up."

Kentar nods and smiles. "Thanks Will." he says and then he closes his eye for a moment. "Will." the stoat says after a few more seconds. "Thanks for not giving up on me..." even though his face is almost entirely bandaged, the smile he gives is visible. Slightly visible anyways.

Will smiles, "Welcome."

Abbey Pond

Fira smirks once more "Eaten bread, hook, line and everything probably" she grabs up the crutch but moves to help him back to the cloth herself anyway

Aikuen says, "Thanks!" as he is helped back to the cloth. He sits down again, and put an arm around Fira, and his other claw on the line, that's still there, "Apparently they didn't like it... Oh well... It doesn't really matter at the moment!" He chuckles a bit and gives it a tug, like she does. Aikuen cant be any happier...then he is right now... And his big ole' smile, just confirms it

Fira chuckles quietly as she settles down besides him, grabbing her own line back "It's an art of patience and maybe a bit of luck. she says as she settles against his side, perfectly content, happy and relaxed and after a few minutes she actually even dozes off at his side.

Will sees the otters,Fira has fallen asleep against Aikuen. "Well?" he asks the older otter walking over to the couple.

Aikuen can hardly contain himself, but he keeps from jumping around yelling. So he just pulls a big toothy grin, and nods!

The rat grins back, "Told ya." He sits down on the other side of the otter, "When you can, Kentar wants t see ya."

Aikuen nods slowly, "Okay mate...Just give me a second..." He gives the Sleeping Fira, a kiss, before carefully settling her down in the cloth. He picks up the empty box and his crutch and stands up, balancing himself. He smiles and says, "Okay mate... lets go! I want to be back before she wakes up..." He slowly start to hobble off toward the entry.

Will nods, "He asked for Garnet too but probably should get her later."

Abbey Infirmary

Aikuen hobbles slowly into the Infirmary, with Will right behind him, and he says, "Oi! Kentar! How yah feel mate?" Using his crutch he walks over, and carefully sits on the stoats bed.

Kentar slowly looks up and gives a bit of a grin. "Was fine till you showed up." He laughs quietly before shrugging. "I'm fine I suppose. The pain is gone, thanks to what the healers have been giving me...

Kentar Smiles a bit more before nodding. "Will be in bed for about a week before I get to walk around again...They..." He tilts his head before grinning. "She said yes?" he asks, knowing that Aikuen was going to propose and takes a guess that he did it already.

Flicktail walks in bearing a tray of Hotroot soup and some drinkes...lookimng aroudn at every beast..he's brought the sword which he wears on his hip

Aikuen smiles and nods his head vigorously, "Yes, she DID! I was so happy when she said yes... i left my crutch quite a bit away... But i don't care! Its going to be sometime in the summer... we haven't thought about anything more though... still a lot of time between that and now!" He looks to the fox, "Oi, Flicky! haven't seen you in a while!" He waves a little bit.

Flicktail smiles quietly giving out soup, occasionally sitting on a bedside to help spoon some into a patient's muzzle, he looks up with a smile "well oi been roit ere Aikuen...ello"

Kentar smiles and chuckles though his bandages, nodding. "Congratulations then friend." he smiles, not seeing or hearing Flicktail thanks to the many bandages around his head. "So...remember what I said I wanted to give you?" he asks.

Aikuen smiles, "Well I mean... I've... we've... been gone for a month, haven't see yah... Congratulation on being champion, Martin couldn't have picked a better beast!" He turns back to Kentar, and he awkwardly sits to allow it leg up on the bed, "Oh aye! Now that im mobile... What is it you want to give me?"

Flicktail moves nectto Kentar's bed tooffer him some sout, he nods to Aikuen "oi were suprised too..but..oi still be FLicky, thank ye fer e feelings, Oi be real appy if oi don't never ave to use it onna beast

Kentar sits up but ignores Flicktail for the moment as he reaches forward and gives Aikuen a hug. "This...thank you for not giving up while I was gone..." he says quietly.

Aikuen blinks a few times, and looks away, wiping something from his eye. He looks back and smiles, "Course i never gave up... Your...my matey...I couldn't... ah jeeze" He looks away again. Stupid emotions!

Flicktail moves beyond Kentar, on to the next patient...smiling to them as he helps one sit up for some soup

Kentar just hugs as tight as he is able with his wounds. "Thank you.." the stoat says quietly, not letting go of the otter.

Aikuen carefully wraps his arm around him and says, "Its alright..." He sighs, "Im glad your safe, and getting better again..."

Flicktail says, "Easy now Lad" Flicky smiles as he spoons more soup down a sick beast's throat... the beast, a mouse smiles weakly up"

Kentar hugs some more and nods. "They said that I'll walk with a bit of a limp the rest of my life. Few other things too." he sighs then sits back.

Aikuen nods, "I figured that much..." He chuckles, "You want a cane to help yah? I can go get... or make one for yah..." He sighs and says, "What other things?"

Will stands to the side of the doorway so as to be out of the way, smiling at the stoat and otter and Flicky too.

Flicktail finally wipes the mouses muzzle and fluffs his pillow...moving around to another beast.

Kentar sighs. "I'll get a few headaches every now and then. My left...paw probably wont work very well anymore. And...yeah..." he just sighs.

Aikuen says, "And your eye... don't forget about that... But you'll adjust eventually... soon you wont even know all those things..." he shrugs a little bit, and nods.

Will decides to pretend he didn't hear anything Kentar just said and steps outside the door into the hallway to let him talk to Aikuen a little more privately.

Kentar nods slowly. "I'm trying to forget my eye." he says. "I'm just glad to be alive."

Aikuen nods, "Aye... Im am too... we are all glad that you are alive... especially Garnet... last night, when i was in the bed, i could hear her talking to you, while you were asleep." He smiles a bit

Kentar Blinks and smiles a bit. "Really?" He asks. "What did she say, do you know?"

Aikuen nods, "I didn't catch most of it... but i think i got the most important part..." He smiles, "She loves you..."

Kentar smiles a bit and sighs, nodding. "I know she does...and..." he pauses.

Aikuen tilts his head at the Stoat, "And... What else mate?"

Kentar smiles slightly. "I think I love her too..." he says.

Aikuen grins and pats the bed near the stoat, "Addaway mate! Well the next time that you see her...Tell her... It'll be good for the both of you..." He scratches his head and chuckles, "You know we're one sappy group... but that's the way we like it, i guess!"

Kentar chuckles some and nods a bit. "Yeah...haha...maybe." He nods then grins. "Lets see...we should find some beast for Will..." he pauses. "When he's older I mean." he chuckles before thinking.

Aikuen shrugs, "I don't know... I think he likes someone already... Don't know who... But i can see it in his eyes sometimes..." He rubs a claw on his splint.

Kentar chuckles. "I know that. I've never been able to coax the name from him though...unfortunately." he chuckles. "But hey...still. Your getting married! How do you feel?"

Aikuen sticks his tongue between his lips and blows. He chuckles, takes a deep breath and says, "I don't know really... I feel great! Never been happier, and i cant wait!" He seems genuinely happy, "I love her so much... that just thinking about her getting hurt, or ... it just rips my heart to shreds..." He smiles, "And she said yes... she is My... Fira..."

Kentar chuckles and nods before thinking again. "Otter...you'd better name one of your dibbun's after me." he grins, laughing

Aikuen blinks a few times, and his mouth just got all dry all of a sudden, "Dibbun?.... er... uh... Well...Ahem...Wheh... did it get hot in here..." He slaps himself a few times before speaking correctly again, "Well... The Tazan clan has always named there first born of someone else... then add a n to it... Kenten?" He laughs a bit.

Kentar laughs and grins. "Heheh. Kenten sounds good to me." the stoat laughs before patting the otter -extremely- gently. "I was just teasin' ya Aikuen.

Aikuen smiles some, and rubs his chin fur, "Actually... Kenten does sound good... Ill tell her that... ERG! When the time comes of course... Not now... she'd probably freak out..." He lightly chuckles and is silent.

Kentar chuckles and nods. "Of course." he laughs. "At least the time will come.." he chuckles.

Aikuen eyes widen, "Yes... But.... I know it will... and would like too...That's in the future with us... not even married yet... one thing at a time... one thing at a time, mate." He laughs as he settles in to the bed post.

Kentar chuckles and nods, grinning. "Aye...Just trying to make you uncomfortable and such." he chuckles.

Aikuen sighs, "Well... I-Its working..." He breathes deeply and smiles some, "I'm actually looking forward to it... to tell you the truth..." He looks off in the distance and grins.

Will continues to eavesdrop from the hallway, just out of sight.

Kentar chuckles. "What? Looking forward to having a dibbun other then Will?" he asks. "Or getting married?"

Aikuen tilts his head, "Hm? Oh... um, both actually... I want to get married...and I want to have another dibbun... a few actually..." He scratches his head.

Kentar laughs and grins. "I just hope they get Fira's brains and not yours." he laughs, grinning. "I don't think I could ever replace the dibbun I lost seasons ago. But...I'd like to have one or two in the future myself." he smiles a bit.

The rat, sitting in the hall, bites his tongue silently reminding himself that the stoat said 'other then' not 'instead of'. Maybe he should just go down stairs, less likely to blow his cover that way.

Aikuen eyes the stoat, and snorts, "Aye i hope so... or else we would have a family of idiots except for Fira and Will, haha" He sighs and taps Kentar carefully, "Good for you mate... Good for you... You and Garnet can be uncle and aunt to Will, when you..." He smiles devilishly.

Kentar can't help but to laugh. "What?" he asks. "I just said what I wouldn't mind..." he chuckles. "But...hrm. I don't think I could picture Will calling me uncle Kentar." he laughs.

In the hall Will roll his eye at the otter's idea since he's already in his mind declared Kentar his 'big brother'. Not that anyone asked him.

Aikuen snorts again, "How about 'Unky Kenty' hahaah!... Well anyway, are you gonna ask her?" He yawns a bit as the end.

Kentar laughs. "Unky Kenty...Heh, no thats what I want your dibbuns to have to call me." He winks although it just looks like he's blinking. "Am I going to ask her what?" he asks.

Aikuen chuckles, "Yah ... alright... Future though... not now..." He taps the stoat again, "You know... ask her if you can be her 'snookims' Tee-Hee!" and sticks out his tongue.

Kentar thinks for a moment then coughs as he realizes what the question what. "What? I don't know! I mean I didn't even tell her I liked her yet." he says.

Aikuen palms his face, "What! Come on mate... I at least i told Fira i like her... before i fell in love in her... I thought i was bad... and look at you... haven't even told her... tsk tsk..." He keeps from grinning.

Kentar gently shoves the otter with his knee since its probably one of the few things that's not hurt. "You realize for the past few days I've been in the fox's den, being tortured, then healing, then sleeping...right?" he smirks. "I've been too busy!"

Aikuen grunts, "Excuses!... all it is, is excuses..." He laughs and moves over a little bit, "I know mate... Well tell her soon...Or I will return the favor, you gave to me..." He raises his brow

Kentar frowns and then grins. "Come on Aikuen. Don't do that." he chuckles. "How'd you like it if I tortured you when you had something important to say, huh?" he smirks.

Aikuen holds up his paws, "Okay... Okay... Im sorry... Take your time...Do what yah gatta do..." He smiles, "Im just glad your back with us mate..."

Kentar nods slowly then smiles weakly. "They...said I can take the bandages off my head tomorrow. Go back to wearing an eye patch..." he then sighs. "Don't know what I'm going to do about that brand though."

Aikuen nods some, "A healer told me about that... said its going to look like an 'A' when it heals up... that's just awful..." He shakes his head, "I don't know... Just go with it i guess..."

Will decides he's sat in the hallway long enough just as Garnet walks up wanting to know how Kentar is doing. The rat doesn't hesitate to call into the Infirm, "Kentar? Garnet's here, you still want t see here or are you 'not feeling up to it'?" The second half is added for the worried stoatmaid's sake.

Kentar sighs and nods. "Branded for life. Going to be limping about. Nightmares. Headaches. I don't know how I'll go on..." he then grins. "Friend's like you. " he grins again before hrming and looking over to Garnet, smiling and quickly sitting up. A little too quickly since he winces and lays back down. "Yeah! I'm up for it!"

Aikuen winks at the stoat and uses the crutch the get up from the bed and heads over to the one across from Kentar. He sits down carefully, and lays back watching, with a smile.

The rat lets the maid go in first and leans against the door frame, "I thought you might be."

Garnet runs over and gives Kentar a big, tight hug. "Ow! To tight!" the stoatmaid eeps and lets go, sitting down. "Heh, sorry...I just missed you so much..." Kentar smiles a bit. "I missed you too..." he then looks to Aikuen. "Hope she wasn't...too much trouble when I was away.

Aikuen waves a paw in Garnets direction, "Not at all! a little bit of a weeping willow... but other then that...just perfect.." He shrugs, and chuckles.

Kentar laughs and grins, looking at Garnet. "Well. Maybe I can cheer her up then..." he says. "I was told by somebeast..." he looks to Aikuen. "That you said to me the other night...you loved me...did I hear right?" he asks. Garnet just blushes and nods slowly.

Aikuen twiddles his paws in front of him, and looks around the room, grinning.

Kentar slowly peers at Aikuen again and chuckles. "Well then." he says before leaning up to whisper into her ear. The stoatmaid's ears turn red and Kentar just grins. "I love you too..." he says quietly before nodding. Garnet slowly stands and makes her way over to Aikuen after giving Kentar a much lighter hug.

Aikuen looks at the approaching stoatmaid, and becomes wide eyed, "ER... Hey...Please don't hurt me!" He places his paw on top of his head, and winces.

Garnet grins. She then leans over and gives Aikuen's cheek a nice big kiss before going back to Kentar, and sitting at his bedside.

Aikuen smiles as he is kissed, and laughs. He gives a big ole' wink to Kentar, before settling back into the bed.

Kentar grins and chuckles. "Yeah. So..." he chuckles. "What do we plan on doing tomorrow?" he asks.

Aikuen places his paws behind his head, "Don't know... Meet the rest of the redwallers, and tell of our journey, plan the wedding with Fira and the abbot, do my resident chores...er... that's all i can think of. Well what do you want to do... your the one is a full body bandage..."

Kentar laughs. Garnet does her best to snuggle up against him without actually hurting him. "Well..." his arm goes around her. "I was thinking of hopefully getting some fresh air, but your in no condition to carry me." he laughs.

Aikuen scratches his head, "Ill see if i can arrange something... some of the wall guards, i could ask them..." He nods and says, "Where there is a 'Will' there is a way..." He chuckles at his lame joke.

Kentar chuckles and nods. "Yeah...Thanks Aik." he smiles. "Would be great to get some fresh air."

Will stretches some, he was sitting too long in the hallway.

Aikuen nods, "No problem mate... Im sure they got stretchers around here...somewhere..." He hmms and looks around, giving up, he just shrugs, "We'll figure something out... no worries!" He chuckles and sits up, leveling his crutch, getting ready to get up.

Kentar nods slowly and chuckles before thinking and looking over to Will's direction. "Will..."

The rat look over, "What? I'm not gonna carry you if that's what you want."

Kentar grins. "Aww, why not?" he grins "Not what I was going to ask." He chuckles. "How would you feel if I ended up becoming your uncle?" he asks. "Just a random question." he doesn't know that Will may have heard their conversation.

Aikuen looks to Will, he didn't know he was around here. He still has crutch in paw, and awaits for his answer.

Will says, "Won't work. Sides I got two uncles already, would be three but I hear Corbyn hasn't been around in a long time .... He's probably at Camp Willow or something." He looks the stoat over a bit, "Why would ya want t be my uncle anyway, you're already my big brother."

Aikuen blinks a few times, and looks between Will and Kentar, a small smiles on his face.

Kentar blinks a few times and tilts his head. "What?" He asks. Garnet just drifted off to sleep against him. "I'm your what? When did that happen?"

Will shrugs, "Well, Racky's my little brother cause he's younger than me and lives at home with me and sleeps in my room even though he never agreed t be my brother he sorta is cause he's there and you act like my big brother but if you don't want to be my brother you don't /have/ to ...."

Aikuen looks to Kentar, and awaits for an answer.

Kentar looks over to Will then to the otter, then to Will again, a grin coming across his face before looking back to Aikuen. "So Pa, when do we get to go home?" he laughs, peering back at Will. "Sure I'll be your big brother." he smiles.

Aikuen runs his eyes and chuckles, "Oh... Please don't call me that... or I might cuff you...Eh, son!" He laughs a bit and shakes his head, "This is the oddest family ever... Welcome to it!"

Kentar chuckles and smiles. "Thanks pa! Glad to be apart of the family." he smiles, grinning like a fool.

William is slightly annoyed that the stoat is calling Aikuen 'pa' but it's his own fault.

Aikuen frowns, "Call me pa... one more time... Go ahead...There might be some cuffing to follow though" He glares at the stoat.

Kentar laughs and smiles. "Sorry pa...I mean Aikuen..." he chuckles. "I guess I got lost in the moment." he smiles. "Okay, that was the last time, I swear."

Kentar smiles and nods. "Thanks Aikuen." he says before thinking and looking down to the sleeping stoatmaid, smiling some before glancing to Will. "So bro! I take it you'll be off to bed soon then?" he chuckles.

"Like I've said, the three of us are very much alike. Try not to kill each other. Stepmum won't like it," he grins impishly. To Kentar, "Probably, I'll be in the bunk room ... no use going all th way home with you here ... and that fox not dead."

Kentar nods and chuckles. "Right." he then smiles. "Thank you Will. For wanting me as your brother..." he smiles softly. "Sleep well."

Will nods, "... thanks for not being mad about it." He yawns, "I'm going t bed. I'll see ya tomorrow fore I go out t work on th kiln."
