Location
The Great Hall of Redwall Abbey. Countless paw falls have echoed from these stones, and untold numbers of feasts and merry gatherings have been held here. A table, not nearly so grand or large as its predecessors, but quite functional for mealtimes, rests near the center of the hall. Chairs exist here aplenty, and they are all of a matching set. High above, the stain glass windows give the Great Hall a beautiful appearance. The glasswork is exceptionally done, crafted by a skilled artist. The floor is clean and swept. A fire is kept burning in the fireplace at almost all times of the day and night, and there are several more comfortable chairs and cushions set up here, of varying sizes. One looks large enough to easily accommodate a badger.
The Tapestry hangs proud and tall, and while the rest of Redwall may still bear the scars of natural disaster, this most famous of Redwall's relics remains unharmed by beast, time, or the elements. The figure of Martin the Warrior seems to be watching over his own with an unchanging, kindly gaze.
Soft light is slowly beginning to filter in through the stained glass windows high above your head.

Cynthia enters from the library, a couple book paws as she makes her way down into the great hall and sits down in one of the chairs as he sits down the books.
Oz listens as he hears her enter the room, "Greeting Cynthia, been in the library it seems, did you find what you were looking for?"
Cynthia smiles as she answers "Yes, studying up on herbs and another on math it’s a subject I have a little trouble with but I believe I am getting better at it."
Oz says, "I am sure your do well, but don’t try to overdo your study time, rest is important as well"
Cynthia smiles "I know and the fall feast is coming up here soon also. I been learning how to sew and Sister June is helping me make a dress to wear"
Oz leans back in his chair, "'The feast is soon isn’t it, I am sure you have it ready then"
Benar overhears Oz as he walks inside, "The twenty second of this month will be the Autumnal feast," He smiles at Cynthia then, "Will you be performing for us my dear?"
Cynthia nods hope so, it’s....not like a fancy dress, it’s simple but nice and maybe some slight ruffles..." She looks to the abbot " I could sing a song if you would like, I still do practice my music as well."
Oz nods to the abbot "Greetings Benar, how are you today? Been a fair day so far, starting to be slightly cold in the mornings now"
Benar says, "I am doing quite well thank you Oz, I've mostly been discussing what sort of entertainment to have at the feast," He smiles at Cynthia, "I would love it if you were to sing for us"
Cynthia smiles "Then I will. I could sing and play the harp. I am sure it will be a good feast. And I will help if needed "
Oz listens as they talk, " The Autumn feast does seem to be the most looked forwards too and usually also around the busiest season"
Benar says, "I would love to hear your harp playing Cynthia I am sure it will be most excellent," He then looks at Oz and smiles, "Well Redwall's feasts ae famous far and wide and it is nice for everything to be peaceful"
Cynthia asks, "Do you think we will have any special guests? It’s nice to see new faces and even visitors that’s been here before"
Oz smiles "Most likely some guests, one never knows"
Zee walks slowly into the room, he usually stays in his room a lot lately, though he has helped with placing harvest in storage areas.
Cynthia waves to the other badger when she sees him “Hello sir" She is in a good mood today.
Benar says, "I am not sure if we are expecting any special guests, just the usual people. But you never know someone may turn up to surprise us"
Oz shrugs '" Maybe, let’s just hope if one does, it’s a friend not a foe. Maybe we could invite Camp Willow, I am sure they would love to come"
Zee folds his arms over his chest, "Not sure I be interested in de feast, not too much ta look forwards ta....and no foe would com lass just friends....." He pauses as if thinking or, well something " Or....once lost soon returned..."He shakes his head, "Say wot?..sorry bit sidetracked thar a sec two"
Cynthia blinks " What was lost or returned ?" Maybe she heard that wrong but it still sounded odd.
Benar frowns at Zee in confusion, "I see... sorry you are feeling somewhat under the weather Zee, come take a load off and sit down next to Oz. I'll send Cynthia to grab us some tea and scones and we can relax."
Oz arches an eyebrow but decides to not ask, maybe it’s just been a long day. “Tea would be nice"
Zee frowns as he goes to sit down "Sorry abbot, just something thought heard or something, maybe part of a dream, then again not sleep much lately and nothing been lost or returned or wot ever lass, I have very few things and I keep them in a safe place."
Cynthia frowns a little and stands to go get some tea and scones, she soon returns with some apple scones and some blueberry ones also “They had these in the kitchen, we can have them for an afternoon tea and scones"
Benar says, "Thank you Cynthia my dear," He smiles and has sat himself down in a chair in the meantime, "And Zee it is ok, we all have strange dreams from time to time."
Oz says, "perhaps do not worry about it, I am sure if it’s important your figure it out." He gets some tea "And as for needing sleep, maybe see if Brother Leon could help"
Zee sighs "Most likely age or something, I will try and get a nap in later, after I help with harvest a little today"
Cynthia smiles as she sits down "Your welcome, and sleep is good to have when it’s needed"
Oz says, "Maybe just try and get some rest, I am sure they fine for one day and most of the harvest has been taken care of already I believe”
Zee shakes his head as he nibbles a scone and sips some tea as he does try to relax, rethinking words he thought he heard, take that back words he knew he heard.. "Lost but soon returned" He mutters as if working out a meaning and decides to worry about it later. "Yeah maybe sleep early taday"
Cynthia says, "sometimes a good nap makes one feel better and more...ummm alert?"
Benar walks back over from where he was talking to a Sister who needed him and frowns, "Well I am glad both my badgers are here in one place. I know you may not feel up to the feast Zee and if you are having trouble sleeping that is a concern. But it just would not be the same without you."
Zee sips some tea before answering "I...have stayed here at de abbey since winter, its basically felt like home and I will try me best ta be at de feast, not like I go anywhere really, no real reason to"
Cynthia smiles "The abbey is a wonderful place...family and friends, and things to learn and do like one day I hope to be a Sister in the order but I also know it will take time and a lot of work"
Benar says, "True, there is little reason to travel far," He looks at Cynthia and smiles, "I am sure the Abbey will benefit greatly from having you as one of our Sisters Cynthia."
Oz nods as he drinks some of the tea he has.
Zee says, "Most of me family are gone or off ta some far off place me niece is, but she is doing well and that’s important."
Cynthia answers "I will do my best in my lessons and work hard like Caleb does"
Oz says, "Yes Caleb is very close to gaining 2nd rank novice now I think"
Benar asks, "Well I am sure you will be a sister in no time at all Cynthia," He picks up his tea cup and inhales the rich scent, "Mmhmm so Zee what exactly did you see in your dream?"
Zee answers "More...some voice, could of been a dream as was sort of half-asleep little bit go....something bout something...lost but that would soon return but it was of unclear what, I have lost nothing...." He frowns a little "Material wise anyways, but not like....that’s a hopeless case now, been 2 seasons...much too long"
Cynthia listens curious of whats being talked about "What happen couple seasons ago?"
Oz frowns remembering a couple things that happen, but he will let Zee explain it
Benar says, "Hmmm well I can't really see anything to interpret on one dream alone Zee. If it is a message of some sort it will come again. But otherwise it is just a dream like any one of us could have had."
Zee glances at the mouse maid "I let someone down, they trusted me...his mother trusted me and I let him down.....and it was my fault" He frowns, he should never of let the kid run ahead of him, he shakes his head and sighs "Yeah maybe...sides dreams are just dreams, they aren’t real"
Cynthia looks at the floor, now she is sorry she asked "Oh...sorry I asked, didn't mean to bring up anything...bad"
Oz says, "It was not your fault Uncle Zee.."
Zee glares as he stands, "You weren’t thar......" He then storms off. He needs some ale...and a nap.
Cynthia watches Zee head off and frowns "Is he...gonna be ok?"
Oz doesn’t need to see to know when someone is grumpy and most likely upset and sad, he can tell by tone of voice and..well the fact the other badger left so quickly, "I hope so..."
Benar stands up and frowns after Zee, "I ... shall go and see what is bothering him. If you will both excuse me?" He turns and hurries off.
Cynthia nods and frowns as she speaks to Oz "So...is it ok to ask who he thinks he let down, if not a good idea then sorry"
Oz speaks "Badger dibbun named Xander....he was kidnapped by a wildcat, the wildcat sold him to some slavers, but it was never found out to who since the wildcat who had him, Zurrgg was killed after it happen by some beast that took over his group, they never got questioned, also it was about the same time the Vikings were around and search was called off due to safety reasons and...well Xander was thought of as dead but neither me or Uncle Zee believes him to be dead. Xander's mother, well adopted mother is Zinnia. I feel Zee is also upset as Zinnia left to live elsewhere, she is alive and well, even gave reason to believe Xander is still alive somewhere out there"
Cynthia frowns, she remembers beasts looking for the badger cub, one certain beast in fact wanted to help search and was later brought back dead, her own mother as she walks over and if allowed climbs into the badger's lap to hug him tight, even if she is a teen now, nearly an adult in fact , she still has her moments of feeling small and sad, some tears fall as she stays silent and ends up letting sleep over take her.
Oz allows her to hug him and he wraps his arms around her to comfort her, he then slowly stands and carefully carries her to her room, lays her in her bed and heads on to his own room, well first he has dibbuns to tell a bedtime story to and then he can sleep for the night himself.
