Dear Abbey Friends,
Well this is my first log entry and temporary recorder to the abbey. Yes this is Brother Boaz and I will be your recorder till spring. Unless something bad happens to Sister Zinnia, which I hope it does not I truly do, but I do worry as she has been mainly silent the past few weeks and who knows if she is still silent on the trip they are now a week into. I heard it’s a 2 and a half to 3 week trip to this mountain they are to go to, I would most likely fall over in half a week as I dislike travel. One gets thorns in their fur, one gets blisters on the foot paws and it’s either too hot or too cold and did I forget, dearly me I did, possible vermin hiding in the shadows waiting to rob you of everything. Anyways back to my writing and what to write on, hmmm..well Rayen and her little one are doing very well. There is also an eagle in the infirm, I do hope it doesn’t try to eat any abbey beasts as that would make a horrible day.
Also the feast was a week ago, a lot of food but I didn’t eat too much of it. A simple salad and some veggie soup and water was ok with me, maybe some green tea, most know I dislike sweets, anything spicy or sour and like simple tastes, I do like feasts don’t get me wrong, they are ok at times, or least the first couple hours then one should excuse their selfs and leave or least I do.
What else, well feelings on being temporary recorder is I was surprised, but also I trust I will do a good job as writing is important as is recording events and such things. I think Sister Zinnia choose well.
Anyways I grow tried and am done with entry 1, maybe an entry once a week or every couple weeks is wise? Well, we shall see.

It is me Brother Boaz and yes I do not write as often as Sister Zinnia did or at least I do not think so. I write when I feel it's important such as news today Sister Silverstorm gave me. The ambassadors have made it safely to the great fire Mountain and I am sure all will be glad of this. An Eagle named Thunderwing delivered the news, so nice of him. Well that is written down and now I must reshelve some books at the library

Dear Abbey Friends,
I write again to mention more trouble of those under marten beasts. They tried to get in thought a well and the well had to be moved cause of it and the old one caved in. I do hope these martens soon go away. I am looking for old records of days when Kotir was mentioned in the logs. That will take some time as it was during the days of Martin the Warrior and also Rose eyes, who was a Badger Lord that was blinded and became Abbey Mother Badger. The only other Badger Mother we have had that was..well is blind is Oz and guess he is more a Father Badger , but most call him Papa Oz.
I have learned some records may be in Brock hall as a very old group called the Council of Resistance in Mossflower..or CORIM used it as headquarters when Kotir was still around and they helped to flood the place and later destroy it. Woodlanders build the abbey over it later, or least a part of the abbey is over it. Me, Zee and Benar will soon go to Brock Hall and see if there is anything there, maybe Martin will show us somehow. I do wish Sister Zinnia was here to help me find info, but alas she is away till spring and she did entrust me to this task of Recorder so hopefully I shall make her proud of me, for now I need sleep as I was up late cleaning ink off my bed, that annoying DAB spilled half a bottle of Ink on the bed, my blue blanket will forever have a large black ink stain on it. Anyways good eve….

Dear Abbey Friends,
I write again and I am sorry I don’t write as often as Sister Zinnia does. An update I have is our Champion Flicktail has got on a mission from Martin and also has taken the squirrel Magramba with him. Only Martin knows where the two have gone as this is a mission just for the two of them to complete and return from.
Other events is I have copied an important map and have placed in somewhere safe from wandering eyes. A map Flicktail and Magramba have a copy of and its for thoer eyes only.
Cleaning has happen in the great hall, the tapestry dusted and stain glass windows cleaned as we ready for the Winter Feast and the wedding of our Friar Lacota and our Beekeeper Krystal.

The winter feast was good. Our Friar Lakota and Bee Keeper Krystal are married now. The winter season has been named Winter of Absent Friends. Other news is Cynthia the young mouse maid has been adopted by Friar Lakota and his new wife Krystal.

Now that Sister Zinnia is back I pass Recorder Of Redwall Abbbey back to her paws. I did enjoy being temporary recorder but it was a lot of work and now Sister Zinnia can have it back as she seems more suited to it long term than I do. I have been offered to helps and I may depending on my mood.
