RW Abbey: Great Hall
The Great Hall of Redwall Abbey. Countless paw falls have echoed from these stones, and untold numbers of feasts and merry gatherings have been held here. A table, not nearly so grand or large as its predecessors, but quite functional for mealtimes, rests near the center of the hall. Chairs exist here aplenty, though most of them are obviously not from the same set. High above, the stain glass windows give the Great Hall a beautiful appearance. The glasswork is exceptionally done, crafted by a skilled artist. The floor is clean and swept. A fire is kept burning in the fireplace at almost all times of the day and night, and there are several more comfortable chairs and cushions set up here, of varying sizes. One looks large enough to easily accommodate a badger.
The Tapestry hangs proud and tall, and while the rest of Redwall may still bear the scars of natural disaster, this most famous of Redwall's relics remains unharmed by beast, time, or the elements. The figure of Martin the Warrior seems to be watching over his own with an unchanging, kindly gaze.
Shadows are long in the dying evening light.
Trillium is currently at work carefully copying some text to a clean piece of parchment. It is Redwall's charter she's writing, murmering quietly along with every word she jots down. Her current teacher is nowhere to be found, so the diligent young mousemaid is on her own, cowl drawn back and paws already ink-stained.
Quinten darts up the stairs from the kitchens and hurries across the great hall heading towards the door and safety, he's not going back in those kitchens anytime soon at all
Coming through the exit from the opposite direction is Shalina, carrying a large basket filled with laundry, and humming to herself as she goes.
Quinten slides to a stop and salutes Shalina "Good day ma'am" he glances back at the kitchen stares warily and edges behind her
Trillium looks up as a pitter-patter of paws draws her attention. She spots Quinten bolting across the hall and tilts her head, puzzled. And then there's Shalina with her laundry, whom Trill gives a friendly wave. "Good morning!" True, it's more like a bit after noon, but Trill's been there a while. Perhaps lost track of time?
Quinten peers around Shalina at the stairs to the kitchens and sighs "Good day Trillium, miss Shalina....hope you are both doing well"
Trillium smiles wearily. "Oh, I'm doing alright...thank you." She wipes her paws on a handkerchief, tsking at the black smudges staining her fur. "That'll take forever to get out..ah, well. And how are you both today?" She turns in her seat and folds her paws in her lap, both ears perked.
Shalina shrugs. "Ah, doin' fine, I s'ppose. Bu' Shamir's bein' fussy about his eatin'. Gives me a headache..."
Quinten smiles and nods "Well that is not so good to hear Mrs Shalina, maybe he needs a hare to show him wots best to eat"
Trillium giggles. "Since when did a hare ever care what he ate so long as it was edible?" she asks, winking to let Quin know she's teasing. "I'm sorry to hear that, Shalina...is there any way we can help?"
Shalina shakes her head. "Nah, he'll get ove' it. It's jus' tha' e's tired o' fish, I s'ppose..."
Quinten nods his head "ahhh well fish never was a firm favourite of mine maybe try him on a salad or some nice quiche?"
Trillium nods. "Or maybe some vegetable pie and nut mix?" She gestures to the laundry, standing so that she can wander over to both hare and weasel. Rather than having to talk across a room, and all. "Do you need some help folding everything?"
Shalina glances to the mouse-maids fingers. "Ah, thanks fo' offerin', bu' I don' think ink on th' sheets'd go down well wi' th' matron..." she says, pursing her lips a little, a grin on the corners of her mouth.
Quinten smiles and salutes Shalina "Let me help you with them then miss, my paws are as clean as they can be"
Entering the hall, Jarril is with several of his larger hares as he nods his head to the three before returning to his conversation with the others. "Aye, got ta go outside and practise there. We carry both practise and proper weapons. I don't think any of the recruits is free but there ya go, they can catch up on another time."
Trillium squeaks and glances down at her paws, hiding them behind her back. "Er, you're quite right, marm.." She coughs delicately and grins for Quinten's benefit. "I quite agree...Quinten might indeed be a better helper."
Shalina turns to acknowledge Jarril with a glance before returning to her conversation. "Thanks, bu' I'm jus' s'pposed t' carry 'is up to th' infirm'ry. Didn' hear nothin' 'bout foldin' it."
Quinten nods his head and steps out of Shalina's way "Ok Mrs Shalina i could help carry em up if you wanted." he snaps to attention and salutes his Major
Jarril gives a nod back to Quinten as he continues on his way towards the door. "We need ta stop off at the sixty seventh as well, got ta make a report there with the colonel."
Trillium notices the passing Major at last and gives him a friendly wave, then returns her focus to Shalina. "Yes, do you maybe need help carrying it up?" Trill's not trying to shirk charter copying, nooo...all in a day's work helping a friend, right? And working stiff paws.
Jarril heads outside and into the Abbey Entry..
"Shalina! Why isn't that basket up yet!?" An older mousemaid with greying fur, a back stooped with age, but with a steely gaze and a stern, penetrating voice has appeared in the door behind Shalina.
Quinten comes to attention and salutes the old Mousemaid "My fault ma'am i was offering tae lend a paw"
Shalina groans and snarls quietly, her upper lip pulling up to show a set of sharp teeth before she smoothes out her expression and turns around. "Takin' it up now, ma'am..." she says in a subdued voice, and goes over to the basket, picking it up.
Trillium stiffens as well at the older mousemaid's appearance, trying to look sharp. A little smile curls at the edges of her muzzle for Quinten's kindly covering, but the younger mouse doesn't say a word. There is a shine of pity in her eyes for Shalina, however.
Shalina groans. "Don' worry, I've got't..." Shalina murmurs, and begins to carry the basket over to the stairs. The elder maid turns her back and walks out again, shutting the door firmly behind her.
Quinten moves after SHalina "Well she's a miserable old boot" he mumurs quetly
Shalina chuckles. "Tell me about't..." she says. "Don' worry, y' won' be dealin' wi' 'er... she jus' orders th' maids about..."
Trillium sniffs a little from behind Quinten. "Now, that's not nice," she murmers scoldingly. "She's your elder! Elders deserve respect, even if they might frustrate you." Trill's a stick in the mud.
Quinten chuckles "Well thank the seasons for that then, she sounds like a right nasty old boot..." he winks at Trill "bad luck old gal"
Shalina sets down the basket again, seeing as the mouse is away. "A right hag, she is..." she mutters, again flashing a snarl.
Quinten pats Shalina's shoulder "I am sure she cannot be that bad, we are all abbey beasts after all"
Trillium puts her paws on her hips. "Now that's not nice at all," she declares. "She's just older, that's all! One must have patience." She wrinkles her nose. "Two beasts have offered to help you, and in the time it's taken you to call a poor old mouse names, you could have had that basket up the stairs and all."
Shalina makes a face, and turns to Quinten. "C'mon then... le's get it upstairs..."
Quinten nods to Shalina and lifts one side of the basker, thinking to himself as he does so. /oh ho she's going to be one of them...no fun to be had around her then/ he nods to Sha "sure thing Mrs Shalian"
Trillium folds her paws across her chest, frowning sternly. In the time it's taken Trill to be quite nosey, she might have gotten her first copy of the charter done, as well..but being bossy is so much more interesting.
Grabbing the other end of the basket, Shalina begins to lug it up the rather precarious stairs together with Quinten.
Quinten hums softly and balances the basket as best he can ears flicking from side to side as he walks along with the weasel
Trillium follows behind the pair, mostly to make sure nothing tumbles from the basket, but also to give herself something to do that doesn't involve sitting all by herself.
Shalina room-pages, "Right then, up to the middle floor, then? Or do we stop by the stairs?".
Shalina heads over towards the Stairs..
RW Abbey: Middle Dormitory
The middle dormitory is composed of a large hallway that is lined with brass lined doors that lead to many obvious places. The infirmary being one of the most hectic places in the abbey always has beasts rushing in and out of that area. The bunkroom for visitors is almost as equally hectic. The northern and southern ward are set into dormitories for the male and female abbey beast that have not yet earned their own dormitory on the lower floor.
Keith strides out of the bunk room, dragging his paw thorugh his long headfur.
Quinten comes walking out of one of the linen closests he's just put away a load of laundry and is about to head back downstairs
Keith leans against the wall, tucking his arms behind him as he begins to loosely tie his headfur into a ponytail. "New novice, eh?"
Quinten looks up at the mouse and chuckles "Aye guess ye can say that, I'm Quiten a recruit from Salamandastron me and some other recruits will be taking part in the novice programme for a while"
Keith finishes tying the black ribbon and folds his arms across his chest, regarding
Quinten with a broad smile. "Well, welcome to Redwall then. M' Keith, another novice here."
Quinten shakes a paw free from his over large habit sleeves and holds it out "Nice to meet you then Keith"
Keith leans forward and extends his arm, gripping Quinten's firmly. "Y'too, Quinten."
Quinten shakes the mouses paw firmly, fingers locking about his wrist "So Keith wots it like being a Novice>"
Keith holds the shake for as long as Quinten holds on, "Well, I'll be honest. Boring. Unless you make it fun."
Quinten takes his paw back and grins "Thats a word i like to hear fun,"
Keith leans back against the wall, wiggling his eyebrows. "The unoffical abbey trickster, that I am."
Quinten chuckles "Aye well i'm Quinten a long patrol hhare you'll find most of us are game for some fun if it doesn't get us in too much trouble"
Keith holds up a finger, "Psh, this isn't the military - Quinten chap, here's the rub. You get caught being silly, and you just get more dishes. No having to run up and down the beach for hours."
Quinten shakes his head "Fraid not Keith, i may be in the Novice programme but i'm still a recruit i get caught messing about and the Major will kick me out of the patrol"
Keith raises an eyebrow, grinning. "You get caught?"
Quinten smiles sadly "You'd be surprised how much the major can find out"
Keith's expression changes, softening. "Eh?"
Quinten shakes his head "He watches us like a hawk most of the time, igot one more chance or its discharged i get"
Keith asks, "What'dja do?"
Quinten smiles "I got drunk and made a fool of meself"
Keith blinks in confusion, "Did you pick a fight?"
You say, "No no fight just i was really reall drunk"
Keith sputters, "You got a warnin' for THAT? Bloody ell! When I was in--.." he trails off. "That's a pretty serious punishment f' gettin' knackered."
Quinten smiles "Aye well it was at the end of a long list of little things really"
Keith says, "Well, y' didn't tell me y' had been doing little things too."
Quinten chuckles "Well i'm trying to forget them old bean, got me a clean slate and a fresh start
Keith gives a little shrug, "Aye, I s'pose."
Quinten smiles "So i'll be doing me best to stay out of too much trouble"
Keith asks, "You got any questions about this place?"
Quinten shakes his head "Not really...looked about and asked Sister Sunrose and Brother Furgo about te place"
Keith laughs, "Awr, Sister Sunrose.. is uh, she's my sister."
Quinten blinks and stares at Keith "She is your sister? as in flesh and blood sister?"
Keith looks sheepish, scratching his ponytail. "Yeah."
Quinten smiles "Well that is good" he nudges the other mouse "Don't worry though i'll keep your dark secret safe"
Keith snorts, "It's not a dark secret! .. Well, to me. Sometimes she likes to pretend I'm an annoying nephew .. or something." he snickers.
Quinten laughs and his eyes glimmer "Oooh its like that is it...bet you ave some fiun with that"
Keith whistles, "I try, but then she makes me babysit her dibbuns."
Quinten laughs "Oh thats no fun...i've seen wot te dibbuns here are like, right pawfuls"
Keith nods and waves, "See you around Soon Quinten I got to get back to my chores"
End Log - Some time passes until Quinten is free from classes for the day
Old 67th HQ: Main Intersection
- -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Old 67th HQ *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
After descending the tunnel, you come to a large intersection, of sorts. The room is vaguely circular, with a few paths heading off in different directions, as well as non-descript doors that lead to who knows where. Between the passage and doorways torches are mounted to the walls, illuminating the room with a ghostly, shifting light.
- -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
The whole area is busy with patrol hares that have been living within Mossflower for several seasons. Large fighting hares walking in pairs or groups as gossip is high, mostly from the talk about the rest of the patrol that managed to get from the mountain and are currently staying here or at the abbey itself further north. Major Jarril is talking to the hare that is in charge of the place, Colonel Frost, named for being an northern hare like Jarril himself. Looking at a piece of parchment, Jarril nods his head. "Well, I'll need ta fit in some time for the recruits, the abbey doesn't want any training ta be done on their grounds so I was thinking that I would pick that time and also that one as well." The hare pointing it out.
There is a comotion near the entrance tunnel and two hares walk in, a young Lieutenant and a familiar recruit, dressed in an abbey habit and peering about with interest. "Well here we are Recruit, the 67th HQ see wasn't that far now was it."
Frost nods his head. "Well, I'll try and fit ya lot in but it's going ta be a squeeze, got the patrah's ta keep going, doncha know." Jarril nods his head as he looks about. "Aye, I be wanting ta report for duty on some of those myself as well."
Quinten pads in after the Lt. "I still say i should have changed sir" he waves a paw around to indicate the over large sleeves "Not really wandering through the woods clothing is it." the Lt. smiles at him "You got chores when you get back this way it'll save you having to change, and you can always change into something else if anyone puts
Jarril has finished talking to the colonel who has turned to go elsewhere within the many tunnels that the patrol hideout has. Turning around he blinks and shakes his head at
Quinten. "My, don't let them see ya get that in a mess, they have ya washing ya habit clean all night."
Quinten shakes out the folds of his robes and sighs "Yes sir...i told the Lieutenant i should change..." he salutes then coming to attention "Recruit Quinten sah, reporting"
Jarril nods. "Well, there's nothing for ya ta do at the moment, I've not had time ta get things organised." Looking around him, he shrugs. "Still looking for another ta help in teaching." The major doesn't exactly say anything about the issue and carries on. "Though I am sure we find a way around this." He smiles. "Anyways, this is our Mossflower operation, brought about by a hare named Southpaw I think or was it Strongpaw..." The major rubs his whisker in thought. "Anyways, this is where the patrah held out when we lost the mountain seasons ago, though I think Colonel Zoe may know, she was I think a private back in those days."
Quinten nods his head and lowers his paw "Aye sir....i wanted to see it and the Lt. said i could come down with him as i was free of lessons for the rest of the afternoon" he looks about "It seems alot busier then back homw"
Jarril nods his head. "It seems that way but this place is smaller than the mountain and at the moment there are a lot more hares than what is usually stationed here. Though I think some are exchanging posts with some heading back ta the mountain while some are being stationed here for a few seasons. I am one of them that is being moved from the mountain. Whether or not my time is up when ya lot are finished depends really."
Quinten nods his head "Ok sir..so will you be responsible for our training here though?
Jarril nods his head. "As best as I can, though I ain't sure how well I can do with the fighting side of things." The major looks away to stare at the soiled wall for a moment with a frown and turns his head back again. "But we work something out, I am only going ta have time ta teach ya about once or twice every seven days, most of ya work will be at the abbey."
Quinten sighs and scuffs a footpaw on the floor "So aye'll just have to keep up with me boxing, stamina training an weapons work in me spare time then... i don't want to let it slide"
Jarril nods his head. "Aye, that's it exactly, not that it won't be easy but I am sure that ya do it." He looks at two passing hares moving past and looks back at Quinten again. "Not ta mention all that stuff the ordah has for ya." He gives a grin on that one. "Glad I ain't in ya footpaws, lad."
Quinten sighs and his ears hang back "I gotta admit sah i'm realy worried about not being able to keep up with the abbey workload an me training....it all seems so much"
Jarril folds his arms about his chest. "Ya did volunteer and was worried that I wouldn't pick ya at one stage. If ya want I could always send ya back ta the mountain again, there wouldn't be a disgrace in it, just that ya be doing recruit training again."
Quinten dithers and then shakes his head "No sah...i'll stay i just wish there was a bit more alloted time for recruit training as well."
Jarril nods. "Aye well we fit it..." He pauses for a moment and shakes his head. "No, I'll fit it in some way." A slight grin came over his face as he relaxes a bit more.
Quinten scratches his ears and looks back towards the entrance "Well its underground so quite defensible and easy to hide away"
Jarril chuckles. "Ah, okay then they're doing their job properly then. Quinten, ya were tracked by quite capable hidden archers who had ya tracked ever since ya entered this part of the forest. Can't be too careful around here, not got the mountain for protection, it's more dangerous living out here and all. So I be much obliged if that sort of information didn't get out."
Quinten blinks and looks back at the entrance "I didn't see anyone sah...wow...." he nods "I won't give away our patrol secrets ye know sir"
Dandelion comes limping down one of the corridors, looking more than a little lost. Spotting Quinten and the major, he smiles in relief, and salutes. "Ah, there ya are..." he exclaims and, remembering himself, "Sah! I'm back from tha healer. It's just a sprain, sah. It's all taken care of... Sorta." He glances down at his right foot, which doesn't hurt nearly as much now, but still feels a little awkward.
Jarril grins. "Aye, well they've had more time ta practise within undercover within the forest, let's just say that we have a few hares here that are quite good at sneaking about and making surprise swift attacks." He looks around and see's two of them walk past, wearing multi-shaded green uniform that looks to be painted. "Speaking of which.." Moving his head back towards Quinten. "They're very interested in that stuff ya made at the mountain, put a report ta Colonel Frost, maje sure ya write down how ta make it, hopefully here will have the right stuff that we had as well."
Quinten nods his head and flicks his ears up "Sure sir i'll get right on it when i get back to the abbey... hmm do they want it black or could they use it green? I can change the colour it turns your fur...to a certain extent at least." hue eyes Dande and frowns wondering what happened to him
Jarril turns around to Dandelion's voice and looks at him with a thoughtful nod. "Hmm, good. We need ta get ya ta the abbey at somepoint again. That's if ya able ta walk or run if need be?"
Dandelion tests the injured foot by standing on one leg, which causes him to flinch visibly, although he puts on a brave face. "Oh, walkin' shouldnt be a problem, sah... An runnin'..." He pauses, considering the prospect of doing so for a short moment. "It'll just have ta work, I suppose, sah."
Jarril nods with another thoughtful look. "Well, if it comes ta it, I'll make sure Quinten helps ya back ta the abbey if we're attacked and I'll stay behind and make sure no one follows ya." Changing the subject he smiles. "So what do ya think of the place?"
Quinten smiles at Dande "Tough luck there Dande, nothin worse then a sprain but i'm sure tha Major won't mmake us run back to the abbey..i'mn not dressed for it" he holds up the hem of his heavy robe." he looks back at Jarril and grins "I can't wait to see more, are ye keeping Dande here for a bit?"
Dandelion looks a little taken aback. "No need ta wait on my account, I'll keep up..." he declares, quickly.
Jarril grins. "Ah, it's my duty as an officer, gotta keep ya lot safe from harm. All majah's and colonels have done it in the past. Besides I would feel ashamed if I didn't." He turns his head and smiles as most hares are heading into the area where food is consumed. "Well, shall we? I know they fixed the area since the fire last. Not seen it yet."
Quinten grins at the sound of food and draws up his cowl, hiding his ears and muzzle from sight as it dwarfs his features and starts past the major "Sure thing sah..wonder if i can convince em i'm a proper abbey beast come to have a look around, they might give me extra."
Dandelion has already smelled the food, and, having worked up quite the appetite during the journey, has absolutely no objections. "If ye say so, Majah." he replies, still somewhat ashamed by his accident.
Jarril nods his head but then is called by another hare and sighs. "Well, I have ta go but ya two go on ahead, duty calls for me." He starts to head off and waves a paw. "Quinten, make sure ya back at the abbey in time for ya chores, don't want any of them complaining about ya tardiness." The hare rushes off to meet with one of the other hares before walking off down the tunnel discussing something until he's out of sight.
Dandelion tugs Quinten along by the elbow. "Come on, I'm starved!"
Quinten laughs and throws back his cowl and hooks up his robes "Ok ok lead the way my brave and mighty warrior"
Dandelion frowns a little. "Hey, I didn't fall down tha' slope on purpouse..." he mutters, taking Quinten's comment to be a sarcasm.
Quinten looks back and griamces "sorry Dande that wasn't meant as a bard" he places a paw on his friends shoulder "yer still a heck of a better recruit then i'll ever be"
Somewhere on the muck, Flaxpaw has connected.
Dandelion smiles. "Ah, shucks, don' be like that, now..." he says, hurrying for the dining room. "C'mon while there's still food ta be had."
Quinten laughs and hurries after Dande to the dining room, slipping through the door and looking abuot
Old 67th HQ: Dining Chamber
- -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Old 67th HQ *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
This is the dining chamber of the 67th. It is rather simple in design. In it, there are two large, long tables, with equally long benches lining each side. These two tables are easily enough to accommodate the number of hares living here. Along the center of the table, candles are lit, as are torches, which line the walls.
- -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
Dandelion is standing about, looking around at all the hares. "It's like bein' back in tha mountain again... Except I don't recognise anyone..."
Quinten nods his head "I know" he moves closer to you and p eers about "Most of the hares who came with us are still at the abbey...woinder were we should sit...doesn't seem to be a recruit table"
Dandelion begins to stamp his foot nervously. Most of the hares are older, bigger, and they all know each other. "Uh... Any table, I suppose..." he says, but doesn't sound too convinced.
Quinten nods and edges closer to Dande, fiddling with his cowl as if considering putting it back up, the young recruit is the smallest buck in the room, smallest hare in general "Erm...how bout that emoty one" he poitns at a table in a corner
"Well spotted." Dandelion says, with a sigh of relief. He begins to make his way over, somewhat hampered in the tighter quarters by his bad foot.
Quinten walks along behind you, holding his robes up and treading lightly, edging about the other hares, who seem to be ignoring us... for now"
Dandelion almost trips on a pair of large feet that are sticking out, but manages to right himself, and then plops down on a chair, immediately pulling his injured foot up for inspection.
Quinten looks about and frowns "You wait there...i'll go get us something to eat" he nods at the serving hatch "Save you hopping over there on tha paw"
Somewhere on the muck, Syrhenna has connected.
Dandelion mumbles a "thankyou" while prodding the bandaged ankle experimentally.
Quinten weaves his way through the crowd to the hatch and starts to speak nervously to the buck behind it. Several large recruits point at his habit and grin, moving towaards him
Dandelion peers over at Quinten for a second, noticing the recruits. He keeps an eye on them, curious to see what's going on.
Quinten is smiling and thanks the buck serving the food and turns with a tray and blinks up at the three privates now hemming him in "Wot ave we ere then, a recruit in a abbey habit, where's yer uniform?"
Dandelion frowns. There it comes, just like he thought it would. It's the same thing wherever you go... He clambers out of his chair with the help of the table, and begins to make his way over to Quentin, trying to catch his eye to let him know help is on the way.
You ask, "It is at the abbey Private where i was told to leave it" the recruit smirks and places a paw on Quinten's chest "really now, yer gunna get lippy aye recruit? I think i might juust take ye tray tae remind ye""
Dandelion stops a couple of paces away from the recruits, within Quentin's line of sight, but far away enough that the recruits won't notice him. There he waits, ready to intervene, and having the element of surprise, should he need to.
Quinten smiles softly and tilts his head to one side "I do not think so Private sah, this is mine and Dandelions lunch, he goes to move away and glares when he's stopped the short buck unable to see Dande with the others in his way;
Dandelion waits for the inevitable line about his sissy name, balling up a hand to a fist in anticipation. Indeed, everything is going as if by script.
There are indeed some laughs at Dande's name and the recruit on his left goes to hit
Quinten. the buck ducks and lashes left with his leg hooking it about the privates leg and toppling him. He's not spent months training under Sorrel and Zeraph for no reason.
Knowing Quinten's abilities in hand to hand fighting, Dandelion hangs back for a while, ready to even out the odds, should he have to...
Quinten's attention is on keepign te tray of food balanced and using his footpaws to keep his attackers off balance, he doesn't see the first buck he knocked over standing up and moving back towards him. The others in the room frowning at the bullies picking on the tiny recruit, one of the other privates moving towards the door to get someone
Dandelion decides it's time to take action. With a style honed by years upon years of getting ganged up on by elder and younger brothers alike, he unceremoniously throws himself at the buck that's coming up on Quinten, wrapping his arms around the other's knees, and head-butting him in a rather sensetive place.
The buck under attack from Dande goes down and with a grin Quinten ducks down as someone lunges at huim, he crashes into the beast behind him and then the small buck darts out from udner then and over to a table. Moving to sit down as quickly as he can "dande" he hisses "Drop roll under a table and get over here quick"
Dandelion gives his incapacitated victim a swift elbow to the abdomen for good measure before he ducks in under a table. His foot prevents him from doing a very good roll, but he scrambles away on all fours as best as he can, upsetting a chair in the process.
As you scramble away the four Privates right themselves and start towards our table when a Lt. appears in the door way and barks at them, he points outside and orders them to follow him, the Colonel would like to see them, about now"
Dandelion sighs of relief, peering out from under the table, cautiously.
Quinten beckons to you from where he is sitting and stares back levbelly as the Privates shuffle out glaring at Quinten
Dandelion crawls out, and begins to struggle to get on his feet with the help of first a chair, then a table, and a pair of helping arms. He hops over to Quinten after first having tried to use the bandaged foot, and decided not to. "Ngh... that was unpleasant..." he remarks, face twisted up a little from pain.
Quinten sighs and pushes a plate of salad towards Dande "Aye...glad i got Zer to teach me those leg manouvers or i'd have been sunk"
Dandelion sits down heavily on a chair. "You'll have ta help me back to tha healer after lunch." he remarks, quietly. "Not a good patient, was I...?"
Quinten chuckles and hands you a beaker of pennycloud cordial "I'll help you back Dande then we'll go back to the abbey together...i just hope we don't get in trouble for that"
Dandelion takes a sip of the cordial. "Don't worry, we will..." he mutters gloomily.
Quinten sighs and slumps back "I might as well start packing now then..." he sighs and shoves his plate away from himself "The major'll kick me out for sure now"
Dandelion looks up in surprise. "What? It wasn't your fault! They started it, I saw't!"
Quinten looks upa nd sighs "So...i still got in trouble.....i'm bound to get chewed up over it aren't i?"
Dandelion shakes his head softly. "Don' worry, we'll work it out wi' tha majah... I mean, everyone saw they started it..."
Quinten sighs and nods his head "I guess so....damn it...why does this always happen..tae me.." he looks like he's about to burst into tears and tugs his cowl forwards to hide the fact. Several other hares int he room glancing over curiously
Somewhere on the muck, Syrhenna has disconnected.
Dandelion pushes his chair back and stands up, ignoring the rather obvious pain caused by this. "Come on... We'll go settle this right away..." he says resolutely, looking around the room.
Quinten sighs and stands up slowly, still hidden in his cowl "Ok ok...if ye think it'll do anygood..."
Dandelion tugs Quinten along, intent on finding the major, or someone else. "'course it will." he says, hopping out on one leg, half supporting himself on Quinten, half tugging
Quinten sighs and helps Support Dande as they leave the Dinning Chamber, watched by the many eyes of the patrol hares. Once they are gone the room, bursts into chatter as everyone starts to speculate on what was going on
