Overwhelming Sedge

Location: Redwall Abbey - Great Hall
Characters: Many
Note: Some OOC comments remain for humor's sake.
Shar is seated in a chair pulled slightly away from the table, leaning back, staring up at the ceiling. She stretches her arms up into the air, then brings them back down, putting her paws behind her head, grinning stupidly to herself.
Sedge prances down the stairs, humming a tune to himself... Obviously in a high old good mood.
Tummler sits down at a table,"Oi be tummler ow' ee you?"
Sedge pages, "Sedge laughs! "Want to make things thick? Sedge used to flirt with Mira to make Lheanna mad... Mira's online. ;>"" to you.
Ciara's face is buried in her arms, though her ears are perked up, listening to everything that is going on about the Hall.
Woodbine yawns lightly, frankly uninterested in all that's going on in the world around her. Her ears perk up as her stomach rumbles and soon she realizes she hasn't eaten in days.
Mira arrives from the Staircase..
Mira has arrived.
Ears perking up at the sound of somebeast who seems most definitely in a good mood, Shar glances over to Sedge, hmming to herself as she brings her paws around from the back of her head to rest in her lap. "Hello," She greets him with a lopsided smile.
Mayflower comes from the entry.
Mayflower has arrived.
Dormile arrives from the Staircase..
Dormile has arrived.
Mayflower smiles brightly as she enters the Hall. "Hi."
Morpheus arrives from the Staircase..
Morpheus has arrived.
Morpheus says, "Hello"
Morpheus sits on a nearby chair.
Dormile slowly comes down the stairs, almost learching side ways as he leans on his cane. Making it the rets of the way, though, he offers the other abbey beasts a warm smile. "Aye, 'ello."
Morpheus says, "Sit down me lad."
Mayflower finds a place to sit, "How is every beast?"
Mira wanders down the stairs looking shockingly refreshed. She gives a rather sudden smile and calls out, waving as she does, "Brother Sedge." Yes, let's just stand on the bottom step hopping up and down making a spectacle of ourselves, shall we?
Hearing a greeting Sedge turns to Shar. Oh, she's talking to him! Nodding (with a big smile still), he introduces himself to somebeast he does not know: "Oh, hello! I'm Brother Sedge, pleased to meet you, miss! What's your name?"
Belle comes from the entry.
Belle has arrived.
Zapher comes from the entry.
Zapher has arrived.
Morpheus says, "Hello"
In a room page-pose to you, Sedge grins. Whee! Things get interesting. Glad you could make it, Mira.
In a room page-pose to you, Mira flutters, "Interesting in a /bad/ way, I hoperp :laughs evilly...muhahaha!
Zapher yawns, entering slowly. He nods to all the beasts present and pads to the corner.
Mira room-pages, "I'm frightened Auntie Em... I'm frightened." to you.
In a room page-pose to you, Ciara should bring her demented dibbun..
Ciara room-pages, "Then again, maybe I shouldn't." to you.
In a room page-pose to you, Sedge cackles! =P Who was it on staff that had the schitzo ferret now...?
Shar's present grin widens across her features as she eyes Sedge, head tilted to one side a slight bit as she replies to his inquiry. "Sharon Softpaw," She gives a slight, crystalline laugh, "Eh...but call me Shar, everybeast else does." She leans forward in the chair, leaning her chin on the palm of a propped up paw.
Slowly, with a slow creak of old bones, Dormile sits down on a large overstuffed chair, sighing contentedly. "How is everybeast?" He asks in is normal calm, but friendly tone.
Morpheus says, "I be fine”
Macros comes from the entry.
Macros has arrived.
Macros strolls into the Great Hall, idly whistling a simple tune.
Mayflower smiles as she recognizes Andriose, "You know they found those dibbuns? Apparently it was all a joke."
Sedge nods and winks to Shar in response. "Well, a pleasure to meet you, Shar!" About to sit down, he gets halfway into the chair before he hears Mira's call. At the sound of his name he jumps upright and looks around, finally seeing her. The young novice waves back, calling in reply, "Hello Mira!" but he sits down without waiting for further response. Hah! He made it into the chair!
Andriose nods to Mayflower. "But the next night, Boxy really tried to kill herself. I'm not completely sure what the outcome of that was.
Mayflower raises her eyebrows, "Do you know why?"
Mira leans her paws against the small of her back and stretches her chest out. No, /really/! She just got up... she skips down and circles behind Sedge, dashing forward and trying to get a not so light tap on his head. "That wasn't /very/ enthusiastic!" she charms.
Zapher can't help but listen to the conversation, and it makes him think back on when he tried to kill himself by stabbing his wrist with a fork. Darn those older beasts who saved him. He was so close.
In a room page-pose to you, Sedge laughs! TWO females flirting with him! That'd be perfect. *wink at Shar. Ahem.*
Macros glances around as he ceases his whistling. He spots Mayflower and smiles, "Hello Mayflower"
Andriose shrugs. "Depressed, is what Hadar said.”
Mayflower waves to Macros. "Hey! Long time, no see."
"A pleasure to meet you also," The grin holds on Shar's features, an obvious good mood radiating about her. She notices Mira, the grin fading ever so slowly. Bleh. Somebeast is taking over her flirting job. She clenches her jaw, then forces out her grin again, fluttering her eyes at Sedge. "How are you, Brother Sedge? Well I hope?"
Macros grins and walks over to Mayflower, "Yeah, i've been...a bit preoccupied lately", he smiles, "How have you been?"
Belle heads outside and into the Abbey Entry..
Belle has left.
Mayflower shrugs, "I've beeen ok. How're things wih you and your wife?"
Flamehaze arrives from the Staircase..
Flamehaze has arrived.
Flamehaze nods politely to all the beasts and says, "Greetings, how is everybeast this fine evening?"
Macros smiles and casts another glances around, "Things are well, we are still planning our move to Sarafan"
Macros nods to flamehaze, "I'm fine thankyou. And yourself?"
Mayflower nods. "Good luck with the move." She smiles to Flamehaze, "Well, thanks."
Andriose smiles to the newcomer. "I'm happy."
Flamehaze smiles, "Oh, as well as can be expected I guess, except I have been trying to talk to a friend and I never see her.”
Macros relaxes his stance, "So...What have you been up to lately?", he asks Mayflower.
Mayflower thinks, "Not much. Been busy moving, but that's about it."
Andriose looks around, staggered at the gathering. "I've never been to a feast, but, well, if there's twice as many as this...
Macros nods at what Mayflower said, "Where exactly are you moving too?"
Sedge winces and makes a bigger deal out of the twap than normal, rubbing his headfur while he sits scrunched in his chair. He protests to Mira, "Hey! I'm tired! Lark's had me running errands for her all day." Sitting up he flashes a quick hidden grin at Shar, a patient, playful grin... before turning to look back up at Mira for a response. Is he flirting with two mousemaids at once? Oh my - that would certainly be unorthodox...
Mayflower grins, "Back home."
Aaaw, don' worry Shar, keep it up and maybe in a few hours she'll notice any annoyance still radiating from the formerly unmarringly cheerful mousemaid. But then again... don't keep your hopes up. Ms. Oblivious Mira laughs and spins, reaching out to tap tap Sedge's head again. "Poor soul, my sympathy lies... with the unfinished errands, I'm certain."
Macros smiles at Mayflower and replies, "That is good"
Mayflower nods, "Yeah, I guess it is.
Shar's eyes twinkle slightly at the grin, yet a slight bit of jealousness crops up on her features at the flirty Mira. "Leave poor Brother Sedge alone, I'm sure he's worked very hard all day," She tosses a coy grin at Sedge, then gives a slight narrowing of her eyes to Mira, rather unnoticable act of jealousy really, but it exists.
Mayflower asks, "How about you, Macros?"
"Macros looks around and smiles, "Well, i must be off"
Macros waves and heads out.
Lyrebird arrives from the Staircase..
Lyrebird has arrived.
Macros heads outside and into the Abbey Entry..
Macros has left.
Entering the hall, Lyrebird appears to be in a considerably more cheerful mood as she smiles a greeting to all present. She seats herself in a nearby chair, her eyes noting the large crowd.
The mousemaid, Ciara, simply stares at the flirtacious mice.. perhaps even a bit jealous. Why can't /she/ be like that? Oh yeah, it's annoying.. that's why. And she doesn't want to be conventional. "This place to too darn boring.." she mumbles idly.
Brandon arrives from the Staircase..
Brandon has arrived.
Looking up over the back of the chair at Mira, Sedge puts on a wan smile. After saying a few words with mock-injured dignity, "Yes, Mira! Lark worked me..." his head turns back to Shar for an apparent acknowledgement, but he throws her another wink while still continuing, "....like a slavedriver today!" He looks straight ahead and makes a great show of favoring his back. "Oh, my aching back... she had me lifting things half the day!"
In a room page-pose to you, Sedge adds: "secret wink"
Brandon walks down the stairs, looking to see who's up and about.
In a room page-pose to you, Sedge notes that he didn't pause in the middle of the sentence, just kept on talking
Shar leans forward in her chair again, gazing at Sedge, flashing a smile at him as she rests her chin back in the palm of her paw. "I bet you could lift everything she put to you, you look -so- strong." More of the eye fluttering, a widening of the smile and a wink of her own.
Mira doesn't notice again. Well, nobody was expecting /that/! She pulls in a soft puff of breath and clunks so delicately into a seat beside Sedgey-lovely. she clunks her elbows, with ever less delicacy, onto the table and quizzes, "Lifting like /what/ things? Stoooones, Sir Groans-A-Lot?"
Mira whispers, "The injustice, poor lad, of a sore-back. Undeserved as it is!"
Brandon takes a seat at the table, gently putting his head down, listening
In a room page-pose to you, Sedge hmms. Let's explore plotlines. What would happen if he starts payin' attention to the other one of you?
Mira room-pages, "Mira /might/ notice something past the whiskers on her own face?" to you.
Brandon sits up and looks at everyone from the table, not wanting to get lost in his
Hmm, perhaps Ciara should.. Oh yes, this would probably make those two mousemaids flirting with Sedge mad.. "Heh," she murmurs quietly to herself, then pushes back in her chair, standing slowly. A grin plays about on her features, and she slowly walks toward Sedge, moving her hips from side to side flirtatiously. "Hello there," she greets Sedge, fluttering her eyelashes a bit while twirling a small tuft of headfur around a digit idly.
In a room page-pose to you, Ciara GIGGLES.
You room page-pose, "Shar grins and laughs!"
In a room page-pose to you, Sedge laughs, rolling around on the floor.
In a room page-pose to you, Ciara laughs IRL. :>
In a room page-pose to you, Sedge was thinking of paying slightly more attention to Shar, but still letting Mira know he's there too. Oy! A new complication. =)
Brandon watches Ciara, his eyebrows raising, thinking 'what...the heck'
Mira looks up at Ciara, beginning to smell something rather fishy. She tugs on the fur at her wrist and bats her eyes, forgetting herself, at Ciara for a moment. She only looks really dumb, she doesn't look really foolish until she opens her mouth. "When did you get to know so many beautiful mice
Brandon puts his elbows on the table, resting his chin on his paws "Do some guys just get all the luck" he says in a joking tone.
Shar slowly raises her head from her paw, gaze drifting over to the newest member of their little group, Ciara. She grits her teeth, narrowing her eyes slightly, then whips her head back around to look at Sedge. She gives a slight grin at Mira's comment, brushing back her bangs from her face with a paw, winking at Sedge. "Am I -really- beautiful?" Seems she is directing the question more to the object of her flirting, rather than the one who made the
Sterling arrives from the Staircase..
Sterling has arrived.
Brandon rolls his eyes "Oh boy"
Sterling wanders into the Great Hall, eyeing about, peering. He shakes his head, too many beasts for him. He stands against the wall, watching the chaos.
Well, he asked for it, but now that he's got it he's quite flustered - two mousemaids flirting quite shamelessly with him. Blushing slightly under his fur he clears his throat stoically and somehow manages to pay equal attention to Mira and Shar, tossing a glance at each (successfully hiding each from the other) and then looking straight ahead and leaning back in his chair, twisting from side to side, he looks over to his left at Mira and Ciara apparently starting to bicker. While turning his back to Shar (perhaps to hide his cherry-red blushing, now perhaps visible through the soft brown fur on his face) he tries to think of what to say... nope, no way around it. He turns his head slightly and, as Mira speaks to Ciara (so that the former doesn't overhear), murmurs, "O- oh, but of course! Er... could you crack my back for me? It's aching something horirble..." managing to change the subject on Shar.. but perhaps not in the way his shyness had intended.
In a room page-pose to you, Sedge waits for reply poses, laughing uncontrollably IRL...
Brandon puts a paw over his mouth so he doesn't burst out laughing
Mira whistles quietly and giggles into her paw, suddenly giving up. Too much competition. She suddenly realizes. And anyway... Sedge was hardly her Abbey goal. She sighs happily and looks away.
Sedge room-pages, "See, he used Mira's talking as cover. Sneaky, huh? =P" to you.
Slightly taken aback, Shar pulls a face of disappointment. "Crack your back for you?" Indeed, her voice holds a note of disappointment also. Quickly though, her flirtiness returns. "I've never cracked a back before, Sedge--I -may- call you Sedge, right? But I'd -love- to crack yours for you, if it would make you feel better." Yet more batting of her eyelashes and another smile, trying to outdo Ciara.
Sterling twitches at the mousemaids, and his friend. Smoothing his ears straight back, he quietly pulls a chair back towards Sedge, placing it next to him. He plops himself down in it, looking about the room. He nods as politely as his shyness will allow to the mousemaids acting like school girls around Sedge.
Brandon buries his face in his arms, trying his best to hold back the tears of laughter.
Golly, Ciara just can't stand this anymore.. She sighs lightly, then states with a grin to Sedge, "Sorry, I just couldn't help myself from doing that, sir.." A small chuckle escapes her maw, and she pads back to the table she had been sitting at before, and once again plops down into the
Taking in the situation in a glance, Lyrebird puts a paw to her lips thoughtfully. With an innocent little smile, she rises from her chair and makes her way over toward Sedge. With a brief glance toward the other mousemaids, she turns her attention back to Sedge. "Hello," A little toss of her head, and she smiles winningly. "Sedge is it?" Another smile, and she looks at him from beneath long lashes. "I'm Lyrebird, pleased to make your acquaintance
Well, who knows why, but as Sterling sits down, Sedge feels relieved. Feeling overwhelmed at the attention (but slowly getting used to it!) he nods to his lifelong friend (and one who is shyer still than he is), a brief, absentminded, "oh, hello Sterling," is said before he turns back to Shar. He winks at her and puts his paws on his lower back, explaining, "You put your paws here and push in on my back... a- and yes, you may certainly call me Sedge." His face (still blushing) looks around, as his gaze slowly passes over Brandon (whom he pretends not to notice) and then over Ciara, to whom he nods (inwardly relieved), replying, "oh, quite alright!"
Brandon raises his head, to watch again.
In a room page-pose to you, Sedge also gets lost in his own sentences now. And he forestalls an angry father wanting him offline. Not this time, bucko! I'm riding this RP out. =P Very log-worthy.
In a room page-pose to you, Ciara gigglets. In a room page-pose to you, Ciara brings her squirrelly to scare away Sterling! That would leave Sedge alone with those mousemaids again.. *evil grin*
In a room page-pose to you, Lyrebird nodnods. Also have angry father wanting me to get off.
Cliona arrives from the Staircase..
Cliona has arrived.
Shar hops to her footpaws, reaching out a paw to pull Sedge up. "Well then, my -dear- Sedge," She flashes him a grin, emphasizing the word 'dear', "Stand up and I shall crack your back for you. I -do- hope I do it right."
Mira hops up and murmurs to all in a monotone, "Later p'raps." before skipping out. One might even mistake her as angry.
Mira has left.
Sterling grins slightly, then softly begins to chuckle. Something he wouldn't do anywhere else but around the comfortableness of Sedge. He then softly ruffles his own headfur, sliding down in the chair, "Good eve Brother Sedge," adding the title for formality, hoping to impress the mousemaids for His good ole buddy.
Brandon puts his head back down on the table with a clunk.
With a small yawn, Cliona makes her way down the stairs, pausing a moment to gaze about before stepping off the last step. "Hello!" she greets, directing it to no beast in particular. A smile is ever present on her features, and she makes her way toward a table, then pulls out a chair. Her eyes wander once more before she seats herself, trying to act as lady-like as possible.. Just hope and pray she doesn't fall! "Ahh, looks like I'm having a good day.." she murmurs to herself.
Oh my! Sedge is starting to grow accustomed to (and enjoy) the flirting now, not being /quite/ as overwhelmed by it. Unconsciously choosing to focus his attention on Shar, he stands up at her bidding first. Oh no- red alert! Another flirty mousemaid at 11 o'clock! Well, to deal with Lyrebird, Sedge nods as he stands up, replying politely (and probably not as playfully as she would have hoped), "Yes, Sedge it is. Pleased to meet you, Lyrebird..." but almost absently shifts his attention back to Shar, reaching around behind him and guiding her paws to the right spot on his strong back. Quickly turning his head around after replying to Lyrebird, he says more quietly, "Yes, right... yes, right there! Now push."
In a room page-pose to you, Sedge has himself a good laff IRL... ;) Mousemaids seem to love Sedge.
You room page-pose, "Shar snickers. Let the egoism begin."
In a room page-pose to you, Ciara whines. Mousemaids don't love her- wait.. Never mind.. o.o;;
Brandon runs a paw through his head fur. He stands up with a sigh, getting ready to leave. Brandon? Jealous? Nawwwwwwwwww.
Sterling sighs slightly, the lack of attention from Sedge shall be forgiven this one time. He looks about the room, letting his tail swish through the back of his chair, he eyes the squirrel maid and nods once, before biting his lip and turning all his attention to his obviously now very intresting pouch. He rummages through it, muttering something.
Shar positions her paws on Sedge's back, smiling at him as he turns his head. "Ohhhh my. I can just feel your strong muscles! So nice and firm and developed..." She curls her tails around her ankles, smiling again. "I just push here?"
In a room page-pose to you, Sedge laughs! Oooh, good poses, both of you. Sterling being shy as always, and Shar flirting as effectively as ever. =P
Pulling up a chair, Lyrebird sits near Sedge, still smiling. Glancing to Brandon as she hears his head hit the table, she once again looks to Sedge. Putting a paw over her mouth, her eyes widen. "Oh my, are you all right? You must have worked awfully hard today." She gives a disarming grin in Shar's direction, knowing she is being viewed as competition, and having fun.
Brandon just shakes his head and walks out.
In a room page-pose to you, Sterling really wants to bring in dashing Thessaly to steal away Sedge's little group of girls.
Brandon whoa whoa whoa wait! Did she just glance at me?! Brandon thinks. He pauses and turns back around.
Cliona's attention is caught by the squirrel, digging through his pouch. Hrm, what's he doing? She watches him a few moments, then finally builds up enough courage to go over to him.. Ah, just don't be so clumsy! "Ummerumm.." she mumbles idly, then pushes back in her chair, standing up on her footpaws. Padding to Sterling, she eyes the pouch. "What's that?" she questions, now looking at the squirrel.
Sterling twitches his ears at the approaching footpaws, he shutters and jumps slightly. Craning his neck towards the squirrelmaid, very mechanically and obviously apprehensively. He shakes his head and speaks quietly, shyly, "Oh," he states, looking at the bag then back at the squirrelmaid as politely as possible, "tis nothing m'lady, just a pouch."
