Noisy Neighbors

Characters: Kentar, Garnet, Chris, Fira, Aikuen, Will, Amy

Location: Moledeep

Moledeep: Infirmary/Sleeping Hall

Kentar is sitting with Garnet, holding their son. The stoat gave Garnet her lovely golden broach that he bought at the market the other day for her. She loves it, more then him. Well. Not that much. But a lot. She's also quite happy to have a break from holding their son. "So love. How are you feeling?" Kentar asks. "Well. Much better. Much better. No pain." she smiles.

Fira pokes her head in the door quickly, spotting the stoats quite easily "Hey, don't mind me. Think I left my book in here yesterday" just slipping in to have a little hunt about.

Aikuen walks into the infirm, bearing a large tray, and singing a song, "Its breakfast time for the stoats!.... Do do do do.... And of course breakfast for the ministoat!... Dum de dum de dum!" This otter is an extremely good mood. He laughs as he goes to place the tray near them, "No more pain? Excellent! You'll soon be out an about in no time!" he chuckles as he goes to sit, next to a nearby cot. Then he sees his wife, looking about the infirm. He grins drunkenly and tilts his head, just staring at her.

Kentar looks to Fira then smiles. "No bother. Stay as long as you want." he smiles then laughs as he hears the otter's song. "Aik, you sound like your drunk." he laughs before tilting his head a little. "Can she leave before paw?" he asks, looking over to Garnet, knowing how much she wants to go outside for once. "And Aik, do you mind feeding Christopher for me? Your the only one who can seem to do it." he smirks a little.

Fira doesn't notice Aikuen arrive for a moment, her eyes are on her book hunt. She soon finds it with a quiet 'Aha!' and finally turning back towards the door, surprise! There's Aik. She tilts her head back, a little smirk showing at his odd look "Hey"

Aikuen looks back at Kentar, "I'm not drunk... Haven't touched the stuff in seasons... Is there a reason why i shouldn't be so happy!" assuming that why he asked, if he was drunk. He laughs, and stands up to go retrieve his godson, cradling him in his arms, "Er... Ill let her, because she seems to be so much better, but not for too long... just in case. OH and don't do anything tedious, still need to be very restful." He uses his free paw to retrieve the bowl of oatmeal he made for the little one, before ploping back down on the cot. He waves at Fira when she speaks, "Hey! Hey! Hey! Heloooooo! Oh my lovely wife... Me darling Fi!" he laughs. Chris tries to reach for the otters whiskers, but fails, as he is holding him the perfect distance away.

Kentar phews a little as Chris is taken from his arms. "Thank you Aikuen. And good. Glad your not drunk. I know a certain otter who'd kill you if you were." he laughs before moving right next to Garnet now.

Fira certainly seems to think Aik's amusing anyway, still smirking at him "Happy doesn't seem a good enough word for it" she moves over towards him but keeps back from Chris a bit, he's yet to add her whiskers to his collection and she'd like to keep it that way. Watching the other stoats for a moment too.

Aikuen grins at Kentar, "Yah she would!" He laughs and leans over to plant a long kiss, on said otter. He chuckles, before looking into her eyes again, singing again "I love you! And that makes me happy!... So, I'm extremely happy today! Hmmm!" he laughs, and starts to feed Chris. The oatmeal is spiked with a little honey, so the little one after a bit, just wont refuse it anymore.

Kentar gives Garnet a little kiss on the cheek before looking to Aik and Chris. "I don't get why he lets you feed him, but not me." he sighs, scratching his head. "Its. Weird."

Fira smirks still at Aikuen "As apposed to every other day I love you?" she leans over to aim a quick little kiss at his cheek before she sees what Kentar says "Probably just thinks it's goofy looking"

Aikuen grins drunkenly again at the kiss, "I don't know! I just love you more today... I actually don't really know why I'm so happy! I just am!" he gives a small tweak to the end of Fira's rudder, then grins again. He blinks a few times and looks at Kentar, "Oh... Umm... Well maybe you just need more practice... Be confident and all that jibber-jabber!" he laughs and looks to Fira with the goofiest face he can possibly make, "I is nots Goofies lookins'...!" He laughs aloud again. Chris giggles at the otter, and his face, before wanting more of the oatmeal, which Aik happily continues to feed him.

Kentar watches the otter. "Yeah. I guess so." he laughs with a smile. "Oh to be a father." he shakes his head slowly. Garnet just laughs at her husband, grinning a little. "What's so funny?" the stoat asks. "Oh. Nothing."

Fira squeaks quietly at the tail tweak and aims a light hit with her rudder at Aik's leg, her eyes narrowing on him, smirk's still there though. He's in no trouble. The goofy just makes her burst out laughing though.

Aikuen keeps his silly grin on his face, as the little one finishes the oatmeal. Aik wipes off the mess around his mouth, before settling the little one back into his arms. He is then hit with the rudder, and he offs, "Hey!" he then uses his rudder, and lightly taps her rudder in retaliation. He smirks at her, then looks back at Kentar, "Your a great father, Just because he wont eat from you, means nothing... I have had a little more experience in... OW!" Chris pulls on one of his whiskers, and Aik wasn't paying attention, "You little nut!"

Kentar nods then laughs. "Its not what I meant Aik, but thank you." The stoat chuckles and smiles a little. "I'll be right back." he says, standing and going out of the room.

Aikuen also watches as the stoat leaves, and rubs the side of his muzzle, "Yah i know..." Chris waves the whisker in the air, and gurgles, "Just you wait Chris, till you have some of your own... Then ill get you back!" He laughs, and places Chris down on his pillow, out of reach of his last remaining hairs. He then scoots closer to Fira, placing his arms around her, "Hiya!" he grins, as he slowly begins to rock back and forth.

Fira chuckles "He'll be in no rush to grow them now" she's just happily smiling by the time she puts her arms, and the book she's still holding, back round him in return, going to give him a kiss "Mm, hey"

Aikuen kisses her back, "Hmmmm, Hey... Right back at yah!" he laughs, as he then places both his paws on her neck, and kisses her long, even if they are being watched by two Stoats, He doesn't care. He nibbles on her bottom lip before pulling away, and placing his head on top of hers. He mouths the words, "Now you know why I'm so happy!" he smirks, and chuckles.

The insides of Fira's ears do go a little red because of the audience but she's trying not to think about it and keeping her eyes fixed on Aikuen again, laughing quietly "It's nice seeing you like this"

Kentar comes back and chuckles at the otters. "Having fun?" he asks. He sits next to Garnet and hands her something that she places away. Garnet then lays down and yawns a little, her husband still sitting next to her. "So. When are you two leaving?" he asks

Aikuen smiles and wink at her, "I love being like this... I haven't felt this way, in such a long time... I love you" He chuckles before giving her another kiss. Then Kentar enters the room, and he pulls away suddenly, but still not letting her go "Er..." ah heck he doesn't care anymore, at least not today, "Were trying to have fun! But there are too many stoats in the room!" he chuckles, then has to look away from her to the stoat, "Don't know, Don't Know, Don't Know... when ever is good for me! Been a bit busy with things to even thinking about it!" he grins.

It's all put Fira in a very good mood too but then Kentar's back and she'd be red again if not for the fur "I don't know if you should say that, the stoats do out number us at the moment" lets Aik handle the question though.

Kentar laughs quite hard at Aikuen's words and so does Garnet. Garnet sits up and grins. "Well. If you let me leave." She says. "Yeah. If you let her leave into the hall, we'll give you two some alone time." he winks. Or blinks. More then likely winks.

Aikuen sticks his tongues at them, "I said you could leave, just don't do anything tedious, and don't be gone for long... You seem well enough, and you have no more pain! Go nuts! Not literally, but you know what i mean!" he chuckles, "You cooooooould stay! Stoaty Company, is better then no company at all... At least... sometimes!" He grin, because even though he cant see her go red, he can definitely feel it. He places his head on her and asks "Would you like the bad stoats to leave? Hmmm?" he grins again.

Fira laughs quietly at Aik again "Have you had too much sugar today or something?" she aims a little nuzzle at his cheek before finally looking back to Kentar "You don't have to go if you don't want to. Heh, don't have to stay if you don't want to. You're adults! Go nuts" she's stealing Aikuen's words now.

Kentar laughs. "Fine. Then we'll stay." He motions a weird motion to Garnet who sits up, sits next to Kentar, then they both -stare- at Fira and Aikuen. Just to make them uncomfortable.

In the background music and faint voices can be heard coming from somewhere past the sleeping hall.

Aikuen hmms at the nuzzle, "Only sugar I got... was from you! I'm just so happy to be around you" he mouths, and he lightly chuckles as she steals his words. He gives her a small nuzzle back when he notices the staring. He blinks a few times, and glances over at them. Then after a bit, He turns his whole face quickly toward them, and starts to make funny faces at them, as much as he can, "Whacha starin at! Eh? Eh? Eh?" he laughs. Cant make him uncomfortable, at least now anyways.

Fira can't help but laugh at Aikuen still, her head even shaking a little until she notices the stoats staring...and she stares back, he head tilting faintly. They can make /her/ uncomfortable. Of course she can't hear anything going on outside the door though, or inside it either for that matter.

Kentar grins and doesn't notice the music. Both stoats don't blink, and they continue to stare, not answering Aik either.

Aikuen stares right back, "STOP IT! YOU SILLY STOATS!" he frowns at them. His ears perks to the sound of music, but just thinks its Amy playing right along. His eyes narrow, and has an idea. He lets go of Fira and picks up Chris. He walks over to the stoats places him, in their arms, "Here!" he chuckles as he goes back to holding Fira, still rocking back and forth.

Fira slowly raises a brow at the stoats...that's kinda creepy. Aikuen gets her attention again by moving but she doesn't really see the significance in him moving Chris.

The music grows louder as the beasts playing and singing enter the sleeping hall. The rats seem to have forgotten the infirmary is often occupied of late or maybe they don't realize how loud they are being.

Amy sings, "In a perfect world, One we've never known We would never need to face the world alone. They can have the world, We'll create our own. I may not be brave or strong or smart But some where in my secret heart," she has to pause to groan at the corny lyrics before continuing the song, "... I know Love will find a way. Any where we go I'm home, If you are there beside me. Like dark turning into day Some how we'll come through, Now that I've found you. Love will find a way." Will would have taken the next verse but falls silent when he sees the stoats coming from the infirmary.

Will waits til the stoats are out of sight. He hasn't seen the otters yet today but he assumes they're either outside or in their room. It doesn't occur to him that they may be in the infirmary.

Amethyst plays through the same song again and comes to the end of the first verse again. She turns her face toward Will with a 'what are you waiting for' look on her face. She hasn't been teaching him this song for him to keep quiet through it.

Fira is a little surprised too when the stoats leave but she's soon distracted by Aikuen, laughing once more at the neck thing. She's surprised again when it stops though and looks at him questioningly. Ohhhs and nods a little when he explains, glancing to the door but no rats...she looks back to Aik 'They just hanging outside the door?' mouthing the words, no noise.

Aikuen looks at Fira's mouth, and tilts his head. He is not as well versed in lip reading as she is... But what is happening, what he told her... and the few words that he did manage to catch, he just gets what she is saying. He mouths back, "Sounds like they are hanging right outside the door... They don't sound like they are moving... but..." he hmms, "I don't know..." He glances to the door, and listens for a minute, then makes a decision. He laughs as he places his paws behind her neck again, to nuzzle her before going back to kissing her. May be worth the risk.... Probably not.

Will sings the second verse of the song a bit woodenly at first, "I was so afraid Now I realize Love is never wrong And so it never dies." After a moment he relaxes more and leans closer to Amy, cupping her face in his paws, "There's a perfect world Shining in your eyes." She blushes grinning as she starts the final verse expecting him to join in, "And if only they could feel it too, The happiness I feel with you, They'd know Love will find a way. Any where we go we're home, If we are there together. Like dark turning into day Some how we'll come through, Now that I've found you. Love will find a way. I know love will find a way." He's not very good at keeping up with her yet which makes the duet part sound very off. She starts the song up again for another run through without comment. Will sighs, he's learned not to complain too much when she makes him do it over again since that will just make her start over at the beginning again, making it drag out longer than it should.

Fira glances between Aik and the door but she can only go on what he says, the door's certainly not giving her any clues. Well him laughing is making more noise than her anyway as she smirks again at the nuzzle, happily kissing him back too.

Aikuen leans forward on his bed pinning Fira to it, still kissing her and not letting go. And then he hears Will starting to sing... and its almost painful to listen to... He has to stop and grimace, "Ack... Will is signing now... Rats... With their music these days... Wow, I just sounded old. " he chuckles as he starts to kiss her again, trying to drown out the 'noise'. This is not what he needs. He does not need a serenade from a loud lute player, and an off key rat...

The song ends at last and Amy starts playing something a little quieter. She reaches over to ruffle Will's headfur and steals his eye patch in the process. No one's around to see them that they know of and she she likes him better without the patch on. He has explained over and over that other beasts don't share her preferences.

Amethyst tires of playing and puts her lute away to lay down next to Will. "You're weird you know that?" she says holding his eye patch over his head.

"Give me that!" Will says reaching up and taking his eye patch from her. He puts it back on and watch her to see if she'll try and take it again or not.

Fira smiles faintly at him and slowly sits up, going to rub Aikuen's back lightly "Oh you know it's only going to get worse as we get more kids running around here" she tilts her head at the question though, looking thoughtful "Hmm, well, how about in a week or something?"

Aikuen nods with a smile and kisses her softly, "Alright... In a week sounds good...Hmmm!" he nuzzles her a little bit. But then as her other words finally set in, he looks really surprised, and glances at her stomach for just a split-second, "Wha?" is all he can say, as his speech seemed to have left him.

Amethyst smirks a little as the sharkskin patch is pulled from her paw. "Yes. You are very strange. .... I understand some of it what with being brought up how you were and are but still very strange. True I haven't complained about th so called food around here but that's because beggars can't be to picky. .... At least there's always fish now and then. The rest of it isn't even really food you know," Amy says laying on her back and staring up at a ceiling she can't see.

Will blinks a little confused, "It's food. What else do you think we'd be growing in th garden."

Amethyst growls a little, "That is not food, that is what food eats! I only eat it because I have no other choice."

Fira grins a little at Aik and leans over to give him a little kiss back "We could" the apparently distraction of the door takes over again though and she gives it a little glance, slightly amused "I really have no idea. Doors and me don't get on"

Amethyst makes a face at Will before curling up against him. "I might have too some time," she says, ".... I'm bored."

Will grins and teases her, "What was that? You're boring? I wouldn't say /that/. Oh, bored. That's different. Why don't you go stand by th wall over there so I can see what it's like outside."

Aikuen chuckles to himself, "Doors have that whole... 'Block view' thing about them don't they!" he smiles and continues to rub her stomach, but answers of what he can hear, "Sounds like there arguing about... Food... Food eats? OH!... Right... Fish..." he hmms a little bit, and whispers, "She does realize that were otters, and not shrews right... Yes we do like fish... but we don't live by a river... And we like vegetables just as well..." he hmms, and pushes that stuff behind him, let the rats handle all that, "We could..." going back to the whole kits thing, "We could... Little ones... of our own!" He chuckles and kisses her softly again.

Amethyst chuckles, "I'm a window again?" She sits up and asks, "Well what do you see 'outside'?"

Fira shakes her head faintly at the mysterious business behind the door "I don't see the argument yet. What's wrong with fish?...Was thinking could give the pond a time to settle, get some plants in, eventually see if we could get fish in it...anyway" a blink and she's back to the other topic as well "It could be...good" she is a little hesitant of the next point though "I do have one little condition"

Aikuen says, "I think Amy... doesn't like Vegetables.... and only likes fish" he tries to clear it up, "But i think they are done now, doesn't sound like they are arguing anymore... And well see about the fish in the pond" He goes back to rubbing but then stops at her last statement, "Condition? Sure ill fulfill it....er... What is it? What is the condition?" As he really has no clue, what it might be

Will looks the maid in the blue dress over a little and smiles mischievously, "I see a clear blue sky. And think I see a one little cloud way up high." He leans closer to her and brushes a claw over the white fur on her throat, "Right about here!" He quickly dips his muzzle down and kisses her neck as he'd seen Aikuen do with Fira sometimes.

Amethyst eeps loudly at the sudden kiss and tries to pull away. "Ooooh! Don't! That tickles!" she squeals and moves a little bit away from him. She grins back at him blushing deeply, "You are very lucky no one's around. And you shouldn't do that .... too often."

Fira is still a little hesitant but she clears her face, make it nice and serious as she goes to wave a finger under Aik's nose "I don't care if they grow up to try and take over the world and never listen to a word we say, you are never to hurt a child of mine or I'll see to it your head never sees the rest of you ever again" it's a completely empty threat of course but she can be scary, sort of...alright it might verge on just hilarious, depends on how you look at it.

Will grins impishly, "I shouldn't? Well, if you don't want me too ...."

Amethyst smiles a little, "I didn't say /that/. Just remember it's a long time still until Spring. And if you ever /do/ do something I don't like I will tell you so in /very/ painful ways."

Will nods, not smiling anymore, "Ok. I understand."

Aikuen goes wide eyed, and rubs at his neck, "Er... Yes... Yes I can do that... I don't think i can anymore" he is acting serious, even though he can tell its just talk. Its her... and there is a time to be funny, and there is a time to be serious. And its time to be serious. He raises a paw in the air, and another over his chest, "I, Aikuen Tazan, shall never harm a child of ours... or anyone else's... or so help me, my wife is going to chop off my head, and fling it in the ocean... no matter how rotten the kid may be." he puts down his paws, and puts them back where they were, "That is a promise... I will not break..." he hmms a little bit, as he understands why his wife said that, But its still an odd feeling.

Amethyst nods, "Good." She moves back beside Will and pushes him back down to a laying position so she can use him for a pillow. "I'm tired. I'm going to lay here and take a nap. Wake me for meals and important things. .... like Chris or Sunsets or things like that."

The smile returns again and Fira leans over to give Aikuen another kiss "That's all I needed to hear" she may have felt the need to mention it but she still trusts him enough to believe him, funny sort of balance.

Aikuen smiles again at the kiss, the odd feeling is still there... Maybe it was something from breakfast... He leans on her and takes her paw, like he likes to, and slowly rubs the top, "I would do anything... for you... Anything, as you are my one... and my only... and i live to make you happy..." he gives her a small kiss back, as he sits there, rubbing her paw. His happy feeling is slowly ebbing away... maybe, if the rats leave them alone, he can get it back.

Fira feels a little guilty for depressing the mood a bit and she moves her free paw to rest the arm over his shoulders, aiming a nuzzle at his neck "Give it time and there might be a tiny mini otter you feel like that for too. Right now though, you know I love you"

Aikuen smiles at her and bounces her paw in his, "Heh... Mini-otter... I hope so!" he grins a little bit, and goes to nuzzle her back, "I knew that... I love you... more!" he laughs, and gives a surprise attack kiss. Placing his paws behind her neck again.

Fira smirks but she can't come up with any come back except a squeak of surprise at the kiss before she sinks into kissing him back.

Aikuen smiles as he feels the odd feeling slowly ebbing away... though its still there. He kisses her like he likes too, and nibbles on her lips, before he grins evilly, and stands up, keeping a paw on hers, "Hey... Come one... Lets get away from the rats..." he smirks as he walks out the door, with her in tow, "Watch the rats... There all over the road!" he chuckles as he leads her to the elder dormitories, then to their own room. There is a click of the lock, and all that could be heard was, "I love you..." from the both of them. It's a good day.

Moledeep: Infirmary

With loads of giggling and proper laughing, three stoats enter the infirmary. The two adults are covered in dirt, while the babe remained clean. Chris is somehow sleeping through all the giggling and laughing. "Oh, we really need to do that more often." Garnet chuckles, panting a little from the excitement before sitting down on a cot. "Wow, we need to clean up sometime soon." She laughs at the sight of Kentar

"I thought I heard voices in here," Amethyst says walking into the infirmary, "How was your walk?"

Kentar looks up at his dirty wife. "Hah. You need one too!" he laughs. The stoat looks to Amy then grins. "Oh. Well. We didn't do much walking, but. Yeah, it was good." he smiles nice and wide. "We got all covered in dirt and stuff." the stoat laughs.

Amethyst sits down on a cot and nods a little at the stoat's words, "Sounds like you had fun. Been kinda quiet around here. Haven't heard much from th otters all day."

Kentar laughs. "Yeah. We had fun alright." he winks at Garnet before yawning a little. "Mh. Excuse me." he sits down slowly. "So. How are you doing Amy?" he asks.

Amethyst says, "Fine. I think Kluna and Racky were off somewhere and who knows where the otters were so we practically had the place to ourselves."

Amethyst smiles, "That /could/ be arranged. When would you like to be rid of us by?"

Kentar laughs. "Oh well. Maybe day after tomorrow or something." he laughs.

Amethyst nods, "I'll make a note of that and pass it along. I didn't get to see very much of the Abbey when I was there last and if that isn't a good enough reason I know one word that will."

Kentar nods and smiles a little. He represses the urge to make a joke about that. "Thanks." he nods. "So. Where's Will?" the stoat asks, looking around a little.

Amethyst shrugs, "I'm sure he's around somewhere. He was in the sleeping hall last I saw him but it's possible he's moved since then."

Kentar nods. Garnet has fallen asleep a few moments ago. And Kentar himself is struggling to stay awake. "Yeah. So. Amy. Just. Just wondering. Might not happen for a while yet. But how would you feel if Garnet and I added another stoat to the. Er. Family?" he asks, laughing a little. Just a question he's been wondering for a while

Amethyst smirks, "I thought you did that already." The smirk becomes and smiles as she shrugs, "I like Chris and can't think a reason why I wouldn't like another 'ministoat' around here but I must warn you I'ver heard there /may/ in the future be miniotters, horrible as it sounds, in an effort to balance out all the stoats we have. Personally I think we have two more otters than we need but they seem to think otherwise."

Kentar laughs. "I know, I know. About the miniotters. Its quite obvious really, the way Aik has been trying to get rid of anyone in the room with him and Fira." he laughs. "But Amy, you can never have too many otters!" the stoat grins.

Amethyst rolls her blink eyes, "Apparently you haven't been to Camp Willow."

Kentar shakes his head. "Nope. Only ever heard mention of it from Aikuen once or twice."

Amy smiles, "It is a camp and there are willow trees there, but I think 'waterdog land' is a more accurate name for it. I was there a few days before I came here."

Kentar ahs and nods then grins. "Well. You don't much like otters. So I can understand why you don't like Aik or Fira much.

"I don't mind Aik most of the time. And if otters didn't spy on us so much I'd be more inclined to like them," Amy says.

Kentar nods a little then chuckles. "I'll have a talk to them for you." he smiles. "If you want me to of course."

Amy says, "If you want to though /Fira/ hasn't spied on us that I know of. I may have a few words with Kip next I see him though ... and not to say 'thanks' for matchmaking either."

Kentar nods and smiles a little. "I'll talk to Aikuen then." he smiles. "And I never met Kip before. But if I did, I'd offer to speak with him too."

Amethyst replies, "We'll handle Kip. I'm told he can fight but isn't all that aggressive so he doesn't fight back as much as he could if he fights back at all. At least that's who it went in the so called fights I was told about. Considering what he'd be up against he shouldn't hold back so much maybe not at all. .... hard to tell ...."

Kentar nods a little then chuckles. "Ah. Well." he nods. "Sounds like you can handle it." The stoat grins a bit before looking around somewhat, yawning again.

Amethyst nods, "Will's put up with Kip for a while now, don't think it will be a problem."

Kentar nods. "Right. Well if either of you need help with it, let me know." he chuckles.

Amethyst nods again, "Will do. .... And thank you for the necklace, amulet, thank you for the thing. I forgot to say that before. ....... Did you see my ring yet?" she asks after an awkward silence holding out her left paw to show off her engagement ring, once again.

Kentar smiles. "You're welcome, Amy. Glad you like it." he chuckles then tilts his head. "No, I haven't." he looks at it and smiles. "Does that mean. That you and Will. Really will get married?" he assumes its an engagement ring

Amethyst arches an eyebrow, "How long as it been since my brilliant plan was first mentioned? Yes, we are getting married. Next spring if you hadn't heard. And when you do the speaking skip the 'speak now or forever hold your peace' part, please."

Kentar laughs and nods. "I knew you were getting married but I wasn't sure if it was going to actually happen." he smiles at the rat then sits down on a cot.

Amethyst smiles, "Oh it /will/ happen. I don't know if it will turn out just like it is in my head but one way or anther it /will/ happen."

Kentar smiles and nods. "Right. Yeah. I'll skip that part." he smiles. "So. Are you guys going to write your own vows or shall I do the standard ones?" he asks. "Just trying to be ready." he laughs.

Amethyst shrugs a little, "Haven't got t that part yet. We'll let you know. It's still quite a while til Spring."
