Cherry Orchard

Aikuen doesn't seem to mind much of what's going on around him. He goes back over to Kentar and pantomimes to him for a moment, pointing at the trees then to his sword. He then points to Kentar, then Fira, then to Kentars 'Cane'. He then points west, and continues to point. The other two both nod slowly and with Fira's help to lead Kentar, they go off to the west. Aikuen sighs and goes to the river, and dunks his paw in, soon he comes up with a good sized boulder. He walks back to will and takes of his sling. Placing the boulder into the hammock he waits, and begins to whistle softly.

The rat shakes his head as though trying to dislodge something from it. /This isn't right .... they shouldn't be here ... / He blinks his eye and looks over the area in front of him, his ears moving about as usual. His gaze falls on the dead rat before turning to the otter, the madness gone for now. "I did something stupid again didn't I?"

What sounds like hundreds of voices chatting at once, can be heard all around the Otter and the Rattling. But Aikuen stays calm, and continues to whistle as if nothing is going on. He sighs and says, "Sure did... Can't get out of this now...Time to... Get this party started..." He begins to spin the sling in his paw. Slow at first due to the size of it... but after a few seconds, a low hurr comes from it as it spins quickly over his head. A lone Rat pops his head out from behind a tree, which is the last mistake he will ever make, as the otter lets loose the sling. The rock hits him directly on the skull with a defining crack. There is silence.

Orph nods. "How many time ya think you'll need to do that fore they get th idea?"

Aikuen ignores the last statement, and says to Will, "move to your left... about two big steps..." He loads another rock into his sling.

Orph is quick to do so. He does not want to be in the way of /that/ sling or any other really, but especially not /that/ one.

Its not the Otters sling you should be afraid of, because at the precise moment that Will moved, an arrow was soon to replace it. Aikuen lets loose the next rock quickly, and the archer screams in pain, as his arm bones shatter. If that didn't kill him, the fall to the ground would. The otter mumbles out, "There not doing a head on attack... not yet at least... waiting for others I believe..." He goes to load the next, and last rock. He scans the area and says, "When will they get here..."

Orph isn't too phased by the arrow that just missed him. His sword doesn't seems to be of much use right now, but he holds on to it anyway. "Sorry I caused trouble ... how many of em do ya think there are?"

Aikuen shakes his head, "Its okay...not you fault... and Not sure matey... sounds like hundreds... and there is no point in running... Never seen a beast to outrun a river rat..." He lets off his last rock, and once again a rat is now at Darkforest. He unsheathes his sword, and licks the point, he mutters "They should have been here by now... Stupid otters..."

Orph cocks his head at Aikuen. "Think they got lost or somethin?" he asks.

Aikuen smiles, "Wouldn't put it past them... Wait... Listen..." He tilts his ears to the south, He laughs and yells out, "Bout time you showed up mateys...Thought i was gonna have to start the party with out yah!" He laughs aloud as what seems to be a flood of otters comes pouring out of the forest, who immediately attack the rats. The otter leader comes up to Aikuen and shakes his paw, "Thanks for holding them mate... We'll take care of the rest" He looks off toward the battle, before commenting, "young'uns these days... first taste of battle for some of them"

Orph is quick to sheath his sword and get close to Aikuen so as not to be mistaken for a river rat, though he doubts he looks like one.

The chief looks to the little Rattling, and looks to Aikuen with brow raised, "Captured him... or what..." Aikuen places his armored paw on top of Will, "Well he is my son... Adopted... He is not a River rat... if that's what your asking..." The Chief eyes the otter up and down before bursting out laughing, "Hahaha, Your son! a Vermin! Hahaha Erf!" He doesn't get any farther as Aikuen silences him with a paw. The chief falls to the ground unconscious. Aikuen sneers and spits on the form, before realizing what he had done. He looks to Will, "Oh... not good.. Gatta move!" Without asking he picks up Will and moves as fast as he can toward the others. Before the otters find out what he did to there chief.

Broadstream: Southern Bank

Aikuen can move faster then the wind if he had a mind too. And seeing Kentar and Fira ahead, just makes him move faster. He reaches them and places Will on the ground. Panting heavily, he says, "River...Rats...Slain... Now... Otters on... on our tail... Need to move..." He places his paws on his knees and breathes heavily.

Fira, Aikuen and Kentar follow William eastward begrudingly and with some difficultly they crossed at the delta and came to the shrine 'Domus of Pacis Lepus' or as translated to English 'House of the Peaceful Rabbit(s)'.

Aikuen, after arriving, sits down and leans against his pack. He sighs and points to the Building, "What is that matey..."

Orph says, "The Rabbit House. They have medicine in there and beds and they're nice .... well last I was here they were .... that was a long time ago. It's a little like th Abbey but not as big."

Aikuen nods, "Do you think they have medicine for..." he nods his head toward Kentar.

Kentar is out, again, and has been for a little while. At least he's not snoring again.

Orph shrugs, "I don't know but I remember that a lot of the beasts here were healers maybe all of them so they might.

Aikuen nods again, "I hope so matey... Though i think Kentar is gonna make it..." He reaches for a canteen and drinks from it, before continuing, "Think they'll let us in... or do we hang out here for the night... We don't want to be intrusive... Already made one group of beasts mad today... don't want to anger another..."

Orph says, "It's called House of the Peaceful Rabbit or something that means the same so I'd think they wouldn't mind too much, sides we used t' play round here all th time before ...... when I was here before."

Aikuen eyes Will, "You were here before?... that explains why you knew where we were going..." He takes another drink from the canteen.

Orph nods. "Yeah ... I was here fore /long/ time ago. .... it might still be back there but .... don't know ... it might not be ... been a long time ...."

Aikuen gets up and places his canteen on his pack. He looks to the party, then back to Will, "What might be back there?"

Orph says, "I don't know. There was a house there but it might not be there .... It /probably is/ if Sister Mary wants me t give a letter to Rose. She asked if I was goin' here an I said I might if it's still here an she asked if I take her letter with me."

Aikuen goes over to William and says, "Sister Mary... Oh... Mays mum..." He looks to the building, "Lets go check it out... It doesn't look like there was any struggle of any kind..."

Orph grabs the brass ring and pulls the door open, "We'd have t go through this place to get t the house anyway."

Aikuen goes over to Kentar, patting him on the shoulder, "Are you up matey? We are going inside! Need me to carry you?"

Kentar slowly opens one eye and groans. "I'm fine...I can walk..." he replies quietly, slowly getting up.

Domus of Pacis Lepus: Inner Sanctum

Orph walks into the main room of the shrine and looks around it with very little interest.

Aikuen enters, and become in awe at the shrine. He walks across the floor to the fountain looking in. He turns to Will, "Nice place huh?" He rubs the edge of the marble fountain.

Kentar doesn't look around unlike the others, his eyes fixated on the floor as he follows close to Aikuen.

Orph shrugs, "Guess so," he chews his lip some, "I think it's this one," he points to a curtained room, "that's for visitors an travelers t stay in."

Aikuen winks to Will, "Are you sure matey... wouldn't like to be jumping in some other beasts bed!" He laughs as he walks toward it.

Orph chews his lip more, "Not really .... been a long time since I was here before ..."

Aikuen pulls back the curtained and tilts his head, "Must not have liked visitors very much do they?" He steps aside, and reveals the closet.

Orph laughs, "I guess I remembered wrong. Well I know /one/ of these is the room for visitors. And one's for the beasts that live here and the other is for the one that's in charge of it all."

Kentar just finds a place to sit and sits down.

Aikuen shrugs, and goes to next opening, "Do you know which one, or shall i just start opening curtains till i find one the right one?"

Orph shakes his head, "Not really. Guess ya can not like they got real doors t keep beasts out."

Aikuen scratches his head, "Guess you right..." He pulls back the next curtain, and looks inside. He steps aside revealing the side den, "No beds... big ole room though..." He goes to the next one and pulls back the curtain, "Aye im guessing this is the place." He steps into the Visitors quarters.

Orph and the others follow Aikuen into the small visitors room.

Domus of Pacis Lepus: Visitor's Quarters

Orph sits down on one of the grass mattresses. "Think this'll due for the night. What'd you think?"

Aikuen sets his pack by the table and plops onto a bed. Rubbing his head fur for a minute, he asks, "You said they were good... I hope so..." He leans back and lays down. Closing his eyes, he says, "I think this will do just fine... Night all..." He yawns.
