Mud Splash!
Heya peoples! I know this is really, really short, but I decided to log it anyway. I just felt like it would allow me to check the box on one of the many DAB things I have planned for Feather. ;) So, here she is, once again playing where she isn't supposed to be! Enjoy!
Redwall Abbey, Pond.
Cera, a young ferret. Feather, a DAB dibbun hopping mouse.
The bright spring sun has made the ground very muddy, and this is quite appealing to a DAB dibbun. Feather hops about the bank of the pond, near the orchard. Being a dibbun, she isn't allowed near the pondon her own, but rules never stopped this hopping mouse! Her tail waves back and forth behind her as, paws out to the sides, she keeps her balance as she walks the length of a log bench.
Cera watches the mouse from where she sits away from the pond, a good few feet in fact, she frowns a little"C..C..CAREFULL"
Feather hadn't known anyone else was around! She squeaks, pinwheeling her arms, and then: KERPLOP. She lands, face first, in the mud, making a really big splash.
Cera blinks and looks around, seeing no one she sighs but stays where she is "Y..Y..Y.Y...You...okies??"
Feather sits up quickly, shaking her head and tail, making mud fly around. She turns to face Cera. "Hey! Whadda think ya doin'? I was nearly at th' end of th' log!" She squeaks indignantly, not minding the mud.
Cera backs up a little lookig like she would like to just bolt out of here,"I...I..s...s...so...sorry" she stutters badly as she is nervous.
Feather humphs and stands, sitting on the log. Her smock is covered in mud, and her fur is plastered with it. She grins toothily at Cera. "Tha's 'k. I c'n do it anuther time. I'm Feather! Who're ya?" She chirps.
