Meeting Zarola (Marek's Revenge TP)

RW Abbey: Open Ground

The Open Ground is a place for feasts, good times and just general social meetings. The wide-open space allows a large group of beasts to gather upon the plush grass and chat. But it also allows access to many places of the abbey, towards the walls of the abbey is the Bell Tower. Notable abbey defenders graves alongside the plot of land the massive structure takes up. A staircase shrouded by a case of stone allows one to make their way to the busy infirmary. The large brass lined doors to the lower dormitory are also evident from this position.

Spring brings soggy grass -- though green, now -- in this open ground. The ground is saturated with melting snows and spring rains, causing muddy spots to dot the field here and there. Green growth is sprouting up everywhere, taking over the tiny bits of snow that can still be spotted hither and yon in secluded areas of the open ground. All and all a cheery scene, with the new growth and such -- but hazardous for the unwary.

Oz has slowly made it to the doorway to the open ground and sits down on the steps leading to the infirm, some fresh air will most likely help him feel better, least he hopes so.

The badger is not the only one outside today, so is Zarola and she is in a strange mood today. She slows as she sees the badger and grows curious as she didn’t know any other badgers were around.

Oz has yet to notice the monitor and he doesn’t have his staff, most likely the extra one is in his room but he has yet to find that out.

Zarola smirks as she walks over, "Thizzz izzz intrsting, another one of thozzz badgers, how many badgerzzz are there herezzz?"

Oz arches an eyebrow as he notices her now when she speaks, "And who are you?" He stays seated on the steps by the infirm as he speaks to her, he doesn’t seem concern she is there either.

Zarola grins as she looks closer at him, "I am Zarola...one of thozzze you obey while here." She studies him as her tail moves back and forth in thought.

Oz stays calm, he has been around monitors before, "Obey huh? May have some issues with that"

Lee meanders around the side of the Abbey, lost in thought, apparently. He doesn't yet notice the monitor or Oz.

Zarola narrows her eyes as she hisses and in his face and then moves back waveing a clawed paw in front of him and starts laughing at something. She doesn’t notice Lee as he is behind her on the far side of the open grounds.

Oz frowns, "And what may I ask is suddenly funny?" He wishes he had his staff as he probably risk slamming it into her snout.

Lee hears laughter, and he looks up. "Oh cripes, not Oz..." He sighs to himself, stepping closer slowly.

Zarola answers as she answers, " Your blindzzz...you can't zee me, I could have fun with thizzzz, and you wouldn't even know I was near till.." Course she doesn’t plan to hurt him yet, it wouldn’t be fun that well but she taps his chest with a claw "Till was too late...." She steps back and folds her arms over her chest and chuckles coldly.."Blind..badger..whatzzz fun."

Oz manages to hold back a growl as the monitor gets in his face, "You be surprised what I can still do"

Lee steps closer. "Ye would be very surprised. He can still do a lot..."

Zarola turns to look at Lee and narrows her eyes "You zzhould zzhut up otter." She speaks to Oz again, "Zoo..cann you fight? then Izz it worth it I rather enjoy a good..real...fight and watch ones life energy leave their eyezzz...zooo in that one idea I can't have as much fun with you..but" She looks at Lee, "Others..yezzzz"

Oz goes to try and stand using the doorway as help since he doesn’t have his staff and growls a bit as his leg hurts and it’s no good trying to move much on it so he sits back down slowly, "I suggest you watch what you say, not all beasts are fighters here but the ones who are..well certain things can make them join together to fight if needed."

Lee just looks at the ground. "Yes, per'aps I should stay quiet..."

Zarola sneers, she chuckles at Lee "ZZmart otter..zee I have him under control and you don’t zeem a threat..neither does the other badger, heee...I have..plans"

Oz tilts his head "Other badger?..." He then looks as if he will tackle the monitor but decides against it while his leg is bandaged up tightly," Trust me, he's not one to try and..as you say have fun with..unless you like pain, for yourself that is"

Zarola chuckles, "Oh?...I thinkzzzz not..I thinkzzz he will be great fun" She smiles coldly and walks off laughing with a hiss included, it’s sort of..crazy laugh as she heads off to the entry and pond..fish are in the pond as she can’t always eat birds.

Lee sighs heavily. "Oh Oz... This must end soon."

Oz nods "I agree..what does she find so funny in fighting Zork? Least I am guessing its Zork she means"

Lee frowns. "I 'ave no idea. I think she be insane."

Oz nods "Agreed, Zork is a seasoned fighter, not that I want him to fight but if an enemy gets on his bad side it’s better to get out of his way"

Lee nods. "I'll keep an eye on that lizard, anyway."

Oz nods "What has happen, I know ..knew of the take over, nit how soon it happen" He tilts his head "Martin came to me, he..I could see him, he showed me far off in the distance Marek and like..700+ vermin or more marching this way and I was told to take the dibbuns to St nihms and he would led me there..then I was in my room, once more blind but I didn’t take time to wake anyone up, even Lorimis who think was half asleep I mean the sun wasn’t up for another hour I got Sister May and her and me got most of the dibbuns and just left, the only beast I told where I was, well was  Leon, I didn’t even tell Zork where I went"

Lee nods. "Aye, I didn't even ye were all gone till I found Stream'eart gone."

Oz sighs "Sorry on that, she followed us and wanted to stay." He frowns" All was well till Hudson and the vermin with him came, I am not sure how many, May thought maybe 20-25 of them and  Hudson and I am sorry I can’t help on a direction we went either, and most of the way here I was dragged, manage to break free once and fight Hudson a short while but it didn’t end to well and I am dimly remembering Hudson yelling and..Mareks voice and yours once and then was in the infirm"

Lee nods again. "Ye were sayin' somethin' 'bout Hudson havin' a new sword or somethin'. Do ye remember that?"

Oz nods "I..may of said it, I was half out of it I think, but yeah Hudson goes have a different sword."

Lee leans forward. "As I thought..." He sighs. "I think it's Martin's Sword... Don't ask me why I think that... I just... feel like it is... I need ta get it back from that cat..."

Oz frowns "Hudson did say it was, I called him a liar and got the hilt slammed into my face, he stabbed my with a dagger though, but..it was a sword at my neck"

Lee sighs, nodding. "I'm glad yer alright. I'm gonna find that cat, or die tryin'. I will save Stream'eart again... Or I'll die otherwise."

Oz frowns, "You need to be careful Lee. I was only with him a short while and already can tell Hudson is insane, seems to like the idea of slavery, this vixen with him seemed to do most of the talking..I may not be able to see but I hear and my sense of smell is very very keen now, maybe more so than most"

Lee leans forward suddenly. "A vixen? Wot vixen? I've been unable ta locate any of Hudson's associates."

Oz tries to remember "I remember..one was all loud and complaining...and Hudson said to calm down Aithne..that could be the vixen maybe, it’s all I have sorry"

Lee nods. "That be very 'elpful, more than ye know. I'll have ta ask around for this... Aithne beast... Somebeast must know 'er..."

Oz says, "Good idea find her and ya might find Hudson"

Lee says, "I certainly 'ope so. I'm so worried about Stream'eart an' Konrad..."

Oz says, "The way Streamheart sound if anyone touched Konrad she was going to try her best to serious harm them instead"

Lee chuckles softly. "That sounds like 'er alright. She were still alright when ye were last with 'em, right?"

Oz nods "Yes, she was alright then..scared maybe as to what was going to happen to me..I am sure Hudson told them all I am dead by now"

Lee nods slowly. "Well, that gives me some much needed 'ope." He then takes a deep breath. "Aside from Hudson, though... I 'ave other plans afloat, Oz. I'm plottin' a revolt. 'Ere in the Abbey. Yer brother Zork tol' me 'e thinks 'e knows where Marek 'ad all the weapons 'idden. If I can get in there, I could smuggle weapons out ta all the able bodied Abbey beasts... But this revolt o' mine requires at least a week o' careful plannin', Oz..."

Oz nods "Sounds like you’re getting the first part done...planning, but weapons are needed inside as well..Zork has that very large sword of his I am sure he wants back in his paws...the only thing I can use as a weapon is my staff,. Maybe you can help me with that, my staff is probably still on the floor of the church, as unsure if have an extra here or not, that I am use to anyways"

Lee nods. "Yes. I'll see wot I can do. Also, I plan ta inform Abbot Lorimis o' me plot." The otter sighs. "Ideally, I want the Long Patrol 'ere ta help, but it's been an awfully long time... Wot if they never come, Oz? Wot if?" He spreads his paws wide. "If they don't come, we 'ave ta take the Abbey back ourselves,

an' with the assistance o' Ferravale, I 'ope. In fact, I'm bankin' on their 'elp. Without it, me plan 'as little chance o' success..."

Oz frowns "I do not know, I have heard nothing on where they are or..anything, that’s a long trip and a lot to avoid or get lost."

Lee nods. "Indeed. I do 'ope the Long Patrol does come... but in the meantime, I be plannin' an' all out insurrection in case they don't."

Oz says, "starting a fight from the inside could even help the long patrol if they come, even if it distracts the horde...Lee, if you rescue the dibbun where do you plan to take them?""

Lee sighs, shaking his head. "I'm... not sure. I can't bring 'em 'ere... even though Marek is expectin' some type of proof that Hudson be dead... Ferravale don't seem very safe, either, if there is ta be a battle there... The only place I know of, that no vermin can find, is Camp Willow... That's where I'll likely take 'em."

Oz nods "I..trust you Lee with their safety I still feel I could of done more to stop Hudson myself."

Lee shakes his head. "It weren't yer fault, Oz. Ye did well."

Oz sighs, "I just hope they are alright...I worry and already miss them, least the 4 missing ones found out hid in the attic that morning and are here..still"

Lee nods again. "Aye, I be worried 'bout them, though. Especially with that Zarola around."

Oz says, "Yeah she is one to keep an eye "

Lee sighs. "Yes. She 'as threatened me daughter more n' once."

Oz takes a deep breath and speaks after a while, " Not good...maybe keep your daughter somewhere, not sure where..maybe my room, unless it’s been taken over I have yet to go see"

Lee shrugs, feeling helpless. "I 'ave no idea, I'll check it. So far me own room 'as been left alone."

Oz says, "Also Zarok and Nick are here.."

Lee asks, "Who be Zarok?"

Oz says, "A..he's a monitor but not related to Zarola, he is around 5 seasons so..almost not a dibbun here soon, he won’t hurt anyone he's been here for a while, well he might try and hurt one of Mareks friends but that’s all""

Lee smiles. "Ah, I see. I may 'ave seen 'im about the Abbey, then."

Oz nods "I just hope all the beasts that aren’t supposed to be here..leave soon, one way or another “

Lee nods. "Aye, me too... it won't be soon enough."

Oz says, "They will leave..sooner or later just wish there was a way to find out what happen to Benar and them"

Lee sighs. "I wish there were... They been gone so long... longer than I would guessed they'd be."

Oz says, "I know it’s a 3-4 week trip, that’s all I know I was never there"

Lee says, "Wot's it been... 4, maybe 5 weeks now? "

Oz says, "I do not know sort of lost count"

Lee says, "As have I."

Oz says, "If we don’t hear something within say a week..then worry, maybe ask a sparrow to look if see any outside"

Lee frowns. "All the Sparra be gone."

Oz says, "hopfully to get help"

Lee says, "I hope so."

Oz nods, Think you can help me up and back..guess to the infirm for now"

Lee nods, stepping forward. "Aye, just lean on me, ere, an' take it one step at a time." He starts to assist the badger to stand.

Oz nods and allows the help back inside and one can tell his leg is hurting again but he slowly stands and slowly takes the 3 steps back up to the infirm, "Thank you Lee..going to get some rest now." He will let the otter help him to the nearest cot and lay down.

Lee helps him on inside and to the cot.

Oz nods his thanks and then is shortly after that sleeping, he probably needs sleep.
