Leon's Back And Right Away Is Needed In The Infirm
RW Abbey: Infirmary Recovery
This comfortable but spartan room has several small alcoves lining the wall. Infirmary bunks with resting and recovering patients lie in these alcoves, each cordoned off with a gossamer drapery of linen for privacy. The room is lit with oil lamps and the pleasing warmth of a small hearth fire. This room is kept quiet, except for the occasional snore, hacking cough or sniffle of its sleeping infirmary occupants.

Leon walks into the infirm, he has been away for the past couple weeks and has just returned and looks tried, he is doing a quick check of the infirm before heading back to his cottage.
Flicktail sits with his wrapped foot paw up whimpering a bit.
Leon glances at the fox before looking back at the shelves; he rearranges a couple items that were out of place and starts to head to the doorway.
Flicktail asks, "Leon?" The fox seems a little hurt to his voice that his friend is not even going to check on him.Likely a novice would mention that Flicktail was injured helping evacuate a burning hut when the floor gave way. The foot paw looks broken but they need a master healer to know for sure or what to do.
Leon has not been told anything as he has just come back, he looks back when his name is mentioned and walks over "Yes sir? How can I help you?" He looks at the bandaged foot paw.
Flicktail says, "Rayen looked at me foot paw...but can’t tell if it's broke....I was helping put out a fire in a hut...."
Leon frowns, "Fire? Where was the hut and whom is Rayen..one of the novice healers?" He looks at the tightly bandaged footpaw as he speaks.
Flicktail says, "It was one of the huts outside the abbey when I was patrolling....Rayen is the Vixen, my mate to be..she is a healer too but not with your skill." The footpaw was bandaged not set.
Leon nods, "Ok, it seems she did a good job, I am going to take off the bandage and check it closer. Was any other beast hurt or other injuries you had?"
Flicktail shakes his head " Was taking out a dibbun and the wood floor gave...only 4 or 5 inch drop but I heard something snap and then it hurt...a LOT”
Leon nods "I am, sorry I was not here I had to go somewhere for a little while, but I am..back now" He examines the footpaw quietly and feels along the ankle and presses a couple times before clearing his throat, "Its broken, I will need to reset it and that may hurt, then I will need to keep it tightly bandaged with a splint..ok?"
Flicktail YIPS sharply when you push on the ankle, but he knows you have to " It's ok Leon, You have stuff you must do" He smiles. "it's gonna hurt?" He asks but nods "I know you will do wots best Leon..I trust ya “
Leon nods, maybe to both and sighs as he then goes to press..hard to make sure the bone is reset, he then has a novice hold the ankle and finds a couple small flat wood pieces and lays them on either side of the ankle and tightly wraps the ankle so it can't move, but not so tight blood won’t get to it. "This will help it not to move and your need to stay off it 2 and 1/2 weeks, is that understood?"
Flicktail YELPS but stays still....his eyes have some tears in them, not crying just the sudden sharp sensation as he nods "2 and a half weeks. Yes Sir“
Leon nods as he sits down and frowns slightly, "Yes and I have no plans to head off any time soon. Part of the trip was nice. I guess, got to see a couple friends I have not seen in a long time and got a couple things settled"
Flicktail says, "Well...As I told you" He grunts a bit as he adjusts "I am to be married in the spring, I need a Best beast"
Leon nods slowly, " Well congrats, I will have to meet her I guess, seeing as she is learning some healing skills here"
Flicktail asks, "Would you consider being me Best beast?"
Leon shrugs "I don’t know Flicktail, right now is not the best time to ask. But I will think about it..ok?" He tries to smile a little to reassure the fox.
Flicktail asks, "still having personal problems?"
Leon tilts his head "Personal problems?" He asks curious and goes on "I have not said no..nor yes to the best beast thing, has anyone else expressed interest?"
Flicktail says, "not yet, and I am afraid my adoptive son and I do not speak much anymore"
Leon nods, "Well if no one wants to. I will, if you’re still needing one"
Flicktail says, "Oh I dunno we will see we have time"
Leon nods "Sounds alright sir. Anything else I need to know of?"
Flicktail says, "Just how much of a friend you are"
Leon says, "I try to be here for everyone, I am the Master Healer after all"
Flicktail says, "you’re more then that to me Leon....much more"
Leon says, "I am glad I am see as a friend, so as for the footpaw you can either stay in the infirm or...well not sure, you can’t walk on it that’s for sure or it won’t heal correctly"
Flicktail says, "when I get some of the larger beasts they can transfer me to me cottage and Rayen can care for me"
Leon says, "I can check on you every so often, hmmms perhaps Oz can help and Lee on moving you, as well as Rayen can help as well"
Flicktail says, "Aye them are some big beasts"
Leon nods as he glances around "Least the infirm was keep neat and in order and for that I am glad, less to worry on"
Flicktail says, "I asked Rayen to help keep it in order while you was gone"
Leon manages a smile "Thank you Flicktail, the last couple weeks haven’t been the best and this news helps me feel better my friend"
Flicktail says, "I do not wish to pry, I understand it's been hard and be sorry for that"
Leon nods again, "I am back home and that is what matters. I have my mate and dibbuns and friends here, that’s all I need"
Flicktail smiles "The footpaw hurts though”
Leon says, "I can make you some weak willow bark tea to help"
Flicktail says, "That willow bark tea is very bitter"
Leon says, "Yeah I have heard, could add mint or honey"
Flicktail asks, "Well I can't have it achin can I?"
Silverstorm walks in and stops at the doorway
Leon gets the tea made, with honey and offers it to Flicktail ,"Here"
Flicktail sniffs it then sips it and makes a dibbun face
Silverstorm says, "Am I..distrubeing any beast?"
Leon looks over and shakes his head "No, did you need some help miss?"
Silverstorm answers, "No, just checking on..umm Flicktail was all, he looks fine. You’re the Master healer aren’t you? Glad to see your back"
Leon says, "Thanks, I had an issue with family to tend to, and now I am back at the abbey"
Silverstorm nods, "Yeah..family, I have none myself but so goes life"
Flicktail's ears perk "This is the beast helped me from the gate to ere “
Flicktail says, "Silverstorm..Leon, Leon, Silverstorm...."
Leon says, "I have my mate and two dibbuns, they are my only family now..." He nods to Flicktail and looks back to Silverstorm, "Thank you for helping Flicktail inside"
Silverstorm nods slowly "Yeah...couldn’t leave him by the gate...well not really"
Leon says, "I am glad you didn’t leave him at the gate, I should get to my cottage. Did you two need anything?"
Flicktail says, "I think if me foot paw heals I be fine"
Silverstorm shakes her head, "Not really. I am fine. You go on and spend time with ya family, that’s..important. Least some beasts still have family, I lost my last family member half a season ago..my father" she adds quietly.
Leon frowns as father is mentioned and simply nods, he looks to Flicktail "It will heal, long as you let it. I will check on you later..good eve" He then exits the infirm as he needs to catch up on some needed sleep.
