Keeping an eye on the Ferret

Oz is taking a small walk close to the abbey.

Desotoe is off to the side of the road and he has been doing a lot of thinking, he grins at an idea and draws a dagger, he has yet to see the badger and looks at his wrist, he sighs and makes a quick slice on his own wrist and tenses up in pain, he looks at the line of red and nods, he has some plans.

Oz stops and looks around, he is near the abbey now and happens to catch site of Desotoe, he raises an eyebrow as no one else is near him. He watches for now to see what he up to him, just missing him slicing his wrist.

Desotoe growls low and holds his arm, he walks onto the road and stops as he sees the badger and blinks, he speaks "Umm...I am injured." He speaks slowly.

Oz narrows his eyes at the ferret, "And how did you get injured, I see no beast around and seems you recently got injured."

Desotoe seems to get a little uneasy and speaks quickly "Umm..the slavers, I saw them and...and they cut me, and then ran like cowards, I would have gone after them but was injured and unable to fight."

Oz folds his arms over his chest "They just ran off you say?"

Desotoe nods slowly "Yes,...look don’t you abbey beasts heal the wounded?" He shows his bleeding arm, "Wounded here"

Oz glares, it’s clear he is unsure of the ferret, he nods "That’s true, ok you can follow me to the infirm"

Desotoe follows the badger closely as they head back to the abbey.

Oz keeps alert and an eye on Desotoe, he looks around.

-the gates of Redwall-

Oz still is unsure of this and he makes sure all weapons are taken from him, he watches him as he speaks "I do not totally trust your story and think you’re up to something and if I find out you are, trust me you won’t like the results."

Desotoe lets the guards have his weapons, he knows to behave and holds his arm, he looks at the badger, "Whatever..stripe dog.” He smirks, rather enjoying the name calling, "But I should really get to the infirm, and report to the fox."

Oz steps in front of him " You seem to want to be around him a lot, trust me you so much as look at him the wrong way, you have me to deal with"

Flicktail is exiting the abbey

Desotoe mutters something and grins "You his body guard or something?" He holds his arm, which is bleeding still, "Do excuse me, I need a healer"

Oz starts to reply when he sees Flicktail "Flicktail, where are you heading?"

Flicktail flown I was gonna patrol for these Vermin slavers....Desotoe..ye be ok? Oz is Desotoe bothering Leon?”

Desotoe looks at Flicktail "I am brothering no one, oh..I seen the slavers earlier, but they got away and injured me." He shows the slash on his arm and makes a frown.

Oz folds his arms over his chest and stays very close by, he clears his throat, "Yeah you should have the guard take you to the infirm for that maybe."

Flicktail nods "Good job Desotoe..yes have that looked at.." He turns to Oz "Oz, yer hackles are up...what was goin on? I believe Desotoe...”

Desotoe smiles slowly, he glances at the badger and back to Flicktail and then holds his arm, "It hurts...those slavers are just, so..so skilled." He looks between them "Would you take me to the infirm I do feel a little..faint."

Oz watches Desotoe closely, he doesn’t take his eyes off the ferret as he speaks to Flicktail, "I am not in the best of moods Flicktail."

Flicktail says, "Aye I have time to do that course....and Aye cuts hurt." He looks to Oz "Ok Papa..I hope it's nothing really bad...." He smiles "Love ya Papa" He turns to take the Ferret to the healer.

Oz says, "Flicktail, let some others patrol tonight, may be best"

Flicktail says, "Ok Papa....I will stay close"

Desotoe starts to glare and then stops himself, he blinks and frowns as he holds his arm, it does hurt like the fox said.

-infirm-

Flicktail takes the ferret is, as a Mouse maid frowns and tosses the ferret a gown, "Take off them dirty close sire and put the gown in, you will be in here a day or so" she says with polite smile

Desotoe frowns at the idea of a day but for now will agree, he snorts and does as the mouse maid says and sits down with the clean gown and mutters again, he looks at his arm, the bleeding stopped some.

The mouse maid sits and takes a ceramic bowl, her gentle paws beginning to clean the wound as she smiles at Desotoe, "You’re the first ferret I ever met sir” she smiles "your very muscular, and rather handsome”

Oz stays by the door, it’s still very clear he don't trust the ferret, his arms folded over his chest, he walks over to Flicktail and stays there, "Maybe I will help stay guard while he.....recovers Flicktail."

Desotoe starts to growl at the badger and blinks as he looks at the mouse maid, "What?"

Flicktail says, "That’s likely a Good Idea Papa...but do gives him a chance, I gave him my word....He is like I was Oz"

The Mouse Maid smiles "I said yer the first Ferret I ever met....." she adds some herbs to the water to make the cut hurt less

Desotoe tenses up and growls "That hurts woodlander. “ He stops himself, yeah niceness..."S..Sorry just the...pain"

Oz looks to Flicktail and sighs, "My job is to protect the abbey, and you if need be Flicktail, I don’t trust Desotoe at all."

The mouse looks afraid at first but when he apologizes she smiles her hand stroking the fur gently "I guess I don’t think of anyone so...powerful feeling pain..I am sorry"'

Flicktail says, "Aye I do not trust him either but I will gives him the chance but well always 2 or more guard and You too"

Desotoe growls, he is tried though and maybe that’s a good thing, his eyes start to droop as he starts to drift off to sleep.

Flicktail looks at Oz "That ferret does anything wrong though..you can turn his insides out”

Oz nods, he watches the ferret fall asleep or least look asleep, "Just be careful Flicktail, just because he is injured somehow doesn’t mean he is less dangerous."

Flicktail says, "Why do you think I told you to use yer claws on him if he does somein"

Flicktail asks, "So who was e lookin at?"

Oz says, "He has been warned, hats what is important. Not sure how helpful he is really being though"

Flicktail says, "Well he's helped me....but I want more guards on him"

Oz says, "I say two and me watching him while he is inside is good, he looks to be stuck here at least a day."

Flicktail says, "Mebby 2"

Oz asks, "Has Benar or Lorimis said much of the ferret being here?"

Flicktail says, "Benar was upset but agreed he could stay long as he was good, but wants him under guard when here...I am so nervous, if anyone is hurt because I let im in..."

Oz says, "He did give up his weapons but that is needed to be inside and he knows that, and no one goes outside the abbey much right now."

Flicktail says, "Aye Tristan said he would be our fighter outside asked me to stay close"

Oz says, "Yes you’re needed in the abbey Flicktail, not outside. Send a message to Ferravale to ask one there to help as well and you stay inside here, in case slavers got in here""

Flicktail says, "Well I dunno if that is wise for now I will stay, already told Ferraville, Camp Willa, the GUOSIM, the Sparras, even the Long Patrol"

Oz nods "So other than this, how are you ?"

Flicktail says, "well I feel pretty good"

Flicktail asks, "you? Wot be wrong papa?"

Oz sits down, "Maybe I could do a patrol of the road sometime, not tonight though."

Flicktail says, "Papa that be MY job"

Oz shakes his head; he nods "Yes that’s true but not alone"

Flicktail says, "I won’t goes alone...promise"

Oz says, "Like said let others do patrols for couple days, sure updates will come around sometime from someone"

Flicktail asks, "why the concern for the couple of days Ozer?"

Oz says, "Like someone told me, don’t over work yourself you don’t want to be tried and then trouble comes suddenly"

Flicktail says, "Ok ya have me word Papa..how be the dibbuns..they do loves you ya know"

Oz smiles "The dibbuns are fine, I had the day off today but may take tomorrow off too, keep an eye on the guest here"

Flicktail says, "Aye that be good"

Flicktail says, "go get some rest I am gonna watch him tonight"

Oz frowns at this idea and shakes his head, "I can do it tonight, I don’t need rest that bad"

Flicktail says, "as you like..I will be near though should ya need me"

Oz nods as he remains sitting, "Alright Flicktail...I will keep that in mind"
