Jake visits the Long Patrol

A hooded figure walks down the beach, he looks up ahead as he walks and his pace changes slightly.

Rainsong smiles "Almost there, this is jolly well great."

Muenster doesn’t see the hooded figure and steps in front of Rainsong and grins "Almost where miss?" He slips out a cutlass “Do give me any valuables you have...that’s a good hare."

Rainsong about falls backwards at the sight of the fox and narrows her eyes "I don't listen ta vermin, you back off"

Muenster grins and lunges out to grab her before she has time to run as it’s a little hard to run to fast in this area.

The hooded figure has now moved closer and slips out a longbow and places an arrow in it, he fires one with deadly aim to purposely graze the fox's cheek.

Rainsong eeps as she is grabbed and struggles to get loose, she kicks at the fox hard.

Muenster grins and then let’s goes of the haremaid just as the arrow goes sliding across his cheek, he holds his bleeding cheek and growls, he looks towards the source of the arrow and growls more.

The hooded figure has yet another arrow drawn and ready to fire "Back off wot, I can shot a fly off a weasels ear at 300 yards vermin and its pointed to land right between ya eyes! “He smirks under his hood "And I don't miss"

Rainsong is dropped and backs up, she looks at the cloak figure hoping it’s a friend and then at the fox.

Muenster narrows his eyes and still has his cutlass “Who are ya..and its unwise ta mess with the likes of me"

Jake takes off the hood and renocks the arrow, pulling back and with a danger to his tone "Dangerous to mess with me too, now leave the lass alone."

Muenster chuckles coldly "Alright" he seems unafraid of the hare and walks slowly towards him, he adds "Be wise not to be alone out here...not at night" he walks off towards an area towards the beach.

Rainsong frowns deeply, she sighs in relieve at the sight of another hare and watches as the fox leaves, she mutters "Foul vermin...."

Jake puts the longbow and arrow away and walks up to Rainsong and nods “Hallo miss, you alright?"

Rainsong smiles "Thanks to you I am ok, thank you sir...oh I am Rainsong Swiftfoot, new recruit to the jolly long patrol "

Jake nods "Jake...just Jake for now" he sounds tried and looks towards the path to the Mt. "And right now I am tried and need to go rest and seems you need someone to walk you to the Mountain."

Rainsong nods "That...would be ok I guess"

Jake leaves with: Rainsong

The two hares walk the rest of the way to the Mt. and go inside.

Rainsong looks around and whoas "This place is Large!"

Jake looks around and nods "Yeah, forgot was this big. “He yawns "Ok your here and fine, do mention the fox and I need ta get some rest and find guest quarters..have a good day"

couple hours later

Rainsong walks into the large dinning chamber where it seems a couple late comers to dinner are here, she sits down after getting some soup and salad and a glass of water.

Jake looks up and nods a hello "Hallo again" He grins and his cloak lies on the chair he is sitting in, seems he has ate some dinner and is now sipping some October ale or the last of what he had with him and frowns some.

Rainsong nods "Hallo sar, nice ta see ya again" she eats a little salad and offers a weak smile “Thanks for earlier, on..well probably saving me."

Jake nods "Your most welcome, be my job to help and protect just cause not at Redwall doesn’t mean I don’t still protect"

Rainsong blinks "Redwall abbey, you’re from redwall?!"

Jake nods "Yep, head guard there but taking a little break, needed one and feels nice to wander and take long walk again, missed it some...even nice ta see the sea again “He puts his flask away. “I am visiting then will go back, sides my brother probably can’t watch my dibbuns too long without going insane."

Rainsong drinks her water as she eats her soup and nods "Guessing afraid to travel with dibbuns or they didn’t want to go maybe?"

Jake shakes his head “Too young yet, only a season and that’s too young to travel this far anyways, and they have the badger father ta watch them, dibbun caretaker of Redwall so they are fine"

Rainsong nods "I see, well then they are probably fine and was probably wise to leave them at the abbey, how long are you staying?"

Jake shrugs "don’t know..3-4 weeks maybe, then head back home."

Rainsong listens as she finishes her meal, she looks around “Still say it’s very large here."

Jake shrugs "Maybe then lots of hares live here, may be out on patrols or at the village nearby, guessing as seems quiet time of the day."

Rainsong nods "Seen the village, it is nice for a place not too far to go to and relax."

Jake nods "May go to the village later, don’t know, I mainly here ta relax, course will offer help if it’s needed."

Rainsong nods still listening “I may go, if someone else is going that fox spooked me a little so not sure what will do"

Jake yawns "True, never wise to walk alone sometimes"

Rainsong stares at him "You seem tried"

Jake nods "Well did travel all the way from Redwall to here and hardly took time to sleep, maybe once for an hour, otherwise non-stop walk or jog to get here."

Rainsong nods "sounds interesting that’s for sure, wot"

Jake looks over at her “Guess interesting, been traveling a little over a week and almost non-stop so yea, good timing as usually takes couple weeks of a good march ta do"

Rainsong smiles a little "I think might like it here, still not sure fighter not for me, maybe healer or runner maybe"

Jake nods "Your do good long as ya do your lessons and pay attention to the majors, your do alright."

Rainsong smiles "Hope so anyways, always a pain to be the new one around anywhere."

Jake grins "Your get used to it after a while, your know your way around and everything."

Rainsong chuckles "Your funny sar, you should stay for a while."

Jake shrugs "don’t think will, already starting to miss Redwall some. “He stands and yawns "I need more rest, we can talk later" he heads to the dorm room.
