Info Turns Deadly(Marek's Revenge TP)

From Redwall MUCK Wiki

This happens at the gates of Ferravale, some info given ends painfully and a fight starts injuring another beast

Hudson walks along the path till he gets to the Ferravale gates and smirks, "Ferravale..would say I'd try to make it mine but I have better plans."

Aithne is curious as she stands beside a group of rats and ferrets, "What sort of plans, ya already have something what else ya want?"

Pipkin is also in the area and has been a couple days and is just now heading down the path, he stops as he sees Hudson and tries to keep his distance as he looks at the ferrets, rats and a couple foxes that’s with the wildcat.
Hudson chuckles "Slaves my dear and I know there is some waiting for us, just finding them is the key."
Aithne frowns as her shoulders sag some "That’s a dangerous word to use around here Hudson and I don’t think they will let us near the Inn again, sides we have ..what 3 now since the one died"
Pipkin listens as the two older beasts talk and gets curious as he tries to get a little closer without being seen, he quickly goes behind one tree and then another as he tries to spy on them.
Hudson smirks "I killed the one for trying to escape, the other 3 fear me...no there are some dibbuns I want to find. They are with this old badger, who I could care less about..he should be easy to defeat with our small force. " This force being 30 armed beasts counting himself and the vixen.
Aithne says, "I suppose, so where are they so we can get them and get going"
Pipkin blinks as he knows who they are talking about and starts to back off as he makes a twig snap and cusses loudly, well so much for quietness.
A couple of the ferrets hear the twig as Hudson turns and hisses as his ears go back, "Who DARES spy on me!" He points the direct the ferrets look and they are searching for the dibbun now. Hudson waits with his arms crossed.
Aithne turns to where the beasts are looking, "It could just be a villager or a guard, then again we don’t want a guard do we?"
Pipkin gasps as he is grabbed by one of the ferrets and starts kicking wildly "hey put me down! I will bite you and Razo .." He frowns at this remembering "Yours be in trouble"
Hudson smirks "Will I now?" He studies the rat “Razo you say not seen him for a while, he run off when the mouse was ate, so why are you spying on me?"
Aithne watches as the rat is found "Oh it’s a dibbun, what’s a dibbun doing way out here by himself?"

Pipkin kicks again and glares, "None ya business where Razo is, sides why you care you didn’t even go look for him"

Hudson smiles coldly "I don’t care, not really so where have YOU been to? Hmmmm and I have a feeling you know where he is don’t ya?"
Aithne scratches her ear, "Maybe he doesn’t and that’s why he is by himself"
Pipkin frowns now, "Razo won’t be around, he died" He doesn’t go into detail how or when he died, " And I don't like you I rather be with my friends"
Hudson looks curious "Friends? You have friends now? Where are your friends at, you can tell me and maybe I will help you get revenge on who ever seemed to have killed Razo or at least it seems he was killed"

Aithne rolls her eyes "He is probably just saying he has friends knowing him"

Pipkin glares "I do too have friends, well sort..kind of.." He blinks at Hudson "Razo was killed and..but it wasn’t meant to happen and.." He goes quiet before going on “Besides they are boring friends anyways and I don’t need them"
Hudson nods "Can I meet your friends?"
Aithne asks, "Yeah where are your friends? We could meet them and make sure they are ok as well""
Pipkin looks between them, "They...are..they wouldn’t want to meet you I am sure, besides they are hiding and.." He shuts his mouth before he says anything else.
Hudson smiles coldly as he listens, "Hiding?" He chuckles" Your friends are woodlanders aren’t they and who wants woodlanders as friends when you can have us, you can join my group and learn some good skills, be rich and see the world."
Aithne tilts her head, "Why would you even want to talk to woodlanders..wait aren’t those the ones your looking for sir?"
It is then that the traffic leading into Ferrevale brings in a dust covered brown fox. The fox wears a brown vest over his grey tunic. A small bulge to his belly mars an otherwise trim and lithe figure. Bandit the fox is wearing a rapier at his side, and carrying a travelers sack over his shoulder. He strides into town, ignoring the beasts for the most part having not met them before he sees no reason to involve himself in their affairs.
Pipkin seems to have a lot going on in his mind right now, he frowns a little "The badger wouldn’t like you and...." He listens more "What kind of skill and rich how?"
Hudson glances briefly at the fox and back to Pipkin, "I don’t fear stripedogs, I can easily handle one as more than one way to handle things such as this, now where is the stripedog at and the dibbuns with him as it seems you must know"
Aithne ears perk as she listens, she doesn’t interrupt Hudson as she lets him do all the talking to Pipkin.
Neither does Bandit. The fox pauses, leaning against a sign post opposite of the road of the other beasts, tongue lolling out the side of his mouth. He picks out a canteen from his nap sack and pours what few drops he has left down his throat.
Pipkin ears flatten some, then it may be funny to get that mouse in trouble, "Sure I know where the badger is, there is also an otter maid and a hedgehog and a good deal of dibbuns..and the badger is blind too"
Hudson chuckles coldly as he takes all the info in and smiles "Good..now show me where, led the way and you will be rewarded"
The pudgy fox stares into his canteen and sighs. Putting the cap back on he puts it back in its place. Condensation will give him a bit more later on unless he refills it at the local well. Picking himself up with a grunt of effort Bandit is about to walk into town when he finely catches site of Pipkin. The little rat that stabbed him! And lost his brother to some kind of bird. Ghastly fate really. He seems to be with a wildcat and a fox. What is he doing with them...
Aithne raises an eyebrow "Blind badger, how is a blind badger protecting dibbuns?"
Pipkin shrugs "I don’t know, he just is but they aren’t anywhere near here."
Hudson smiles coldly, " Well I didn’t know he was blind, this will be easier than I thought..you seem to dislike the badger, what say you tell me where he is and the others"
Aithne sneers "Yeah fun..umm what if it attacks us or would it be easier to kill if it can’t see us?"
Pipkin seems unsure "He's...they are south of here and south of the abbey..why?"
"Hey! You!" The fox shouts as he stalks up to the beasts, "Have you seen-" he almost blurts out Leon but instead corrects himself after a moments pause, "You're brother? I need to have a chat with him." Smooth Bandit, smooth. Why do these beasts look so familiar?
Hudson answers Pipkin first "Because I want to find them and..." He looks at Bandit and then Pipkin "You just said your brother died..."
Aithne watches Bandit and lays a paw near her whip as she stays where she is, well for now.
Pipkin frowns as he sees Bandit and groans, "He did die and it was..this one beasts fault and he is with that Oz and the dibbuns and I can show you where they are and you talk to them"
Hudson smirks "Maybe you can just whisper to me where they are lad, no need for this..fat fox to know as well"
The brown furred fox tilts his head incredulously towards the rat, his eyes widen and his mouth hangs agape. "Wait...what?" He manages to say after a short moment.
Aithne grins "I can make the fox less fat, if you so wish sir" She now draws forth a dagger and looks at Bandit.
Pipkin frowns and glares at Bandit, he walks over and whispers to Hudson and steps back again and sticks his tongue out at Bandit, he looks to Hudson "So what do I get for telling you?"
Hudson smiles wider as he listens and speaks "I know where that is....reward? Oh yes that" He starts to reach for a sword hidden on his back and then let’s go of it, "Not that one...ahhhh this one!" He finds his thin dagger and goes to stab the dibbun with it, unknown to him he misses any vital organ but just barely and chuckles, he smirks at Bandit "I am off to kill a stripedog and take his brats as slaves, maybe hedgehog and otter maid as well...ooooooh I know who the otter maid is, this makes it even more..wonderful"
Several emotions run through the fox at once. Watching the wild cat stab down at the dibbun causes him to gasp in first shock. Then the fox growls, face contorting into a feral snarl. The curse Bandit uses as he leaps at both the fox and wild cat is best left unsaid. His rapier flashes from the sheath with a quickness one would not expect from a fox so well fed.
Aithne lets her whip fly at the fat fox as she aims to hurt, whatever area she is closest too pain is what she is aiming for.
Pipkin eyes go wide as he is stabbed near the chest and he falls against the gate looking at the dagger in shock as some blood flows, most is stopped by the dagger so they is hope he will live through this.
Hudson smirks as he nods to a couple ferrets and a rat to attack Bandit as he backs up, turns and walks off down the pathway towards the dirt road.
The fox yelps as the whip strikes him in the head above the eye. It's not something he has felt since his pirate days. It's not something he enjoys either. "Vixen...that better not be the best you got..." Bandit growls as he paws at his wound. "Cause I can tell you for sure I ain't holden back..." Bandit is many things but he isn't stupid, or heroically inclined to fight several beasts at once by himself. Instead he shouts at the top of his lungs, "BANDITS AT THE GATES! GUARDS!"
Aithne chuckles as she whips at him again, and she has the help of the two ferrets and a rat, "Lets..have...fun"
Pipkin whimpers, he is hurt and he is scared now. This is not what he expected to happen to him as he leans by the gates and looks inside debating on moving or not.
Bandit yelps and stumbles as the whip hits him in nearly the same place as last time. Glaring hate and murder he charges the enemy, starting with a ferret. He sends a strike at the shoulder then riposets quickly to pierce the beast’s heart

The ferret dies quickly as the blade enters its heart, the other ferret gets a hint of fear and then rushes forwards to stab at the fox as some guards are now coming.

Aithne backs up and gets out her cutlass to slice at Bandit while he is distracted.
Pipkin gulps as he tries to get up and falls again and decides to stay where he is and tries to debate whether to pull the dagger out or not.
The fox parries the ferret first, knocking the blade to the side then running his own up the length of his stomach, chest and shoulder. He turns in time to see the vixen plunge her blade into his belly. A look of shock escapes his lips, trying to block the blade from piercing him too far.
Aithne grins coldly as she goes to push forwards with the blade, the other ferret dies fairly quickly but there is still the one rat who flicks a dagger towards Bandit's back, the rat is wounded as one guard shows up and the two start to fight one on one.
Pipkin looks over at the fight as he also looks near to passing out as a 2nd guard checks on Pipkin and frowns, he isn’t a healer but he knows not to touch the dagger, he also looks ready to take him to the infirm.

The fox isn't in a position to dodge a dagger to the back. He yelps again in pain as the dagger sinks into his shoulder, stopping at the bone. He can feel the blade sinking farther towards his gut as well. Falling to one knee Bandit is currently feeling a paramount of pain. With his strength failing he reaches forward to claw at the vixen with his free paw.

Aithne yelps as her face is clawed some as she growls it seems to further make her want to kill Bandit as she tries to turn the blade and push it further, she goes to aim a kick at the fox and the rat and guard finish their fight and the rat seems to have lost badly.
Pipkin shivers as the guard tries to help him and tells another beast to find a healer.
Bandit opens his mouth to scream but nothing comes out. He falls to the ground on his back, but not before grabbing at the hilt of the blade running him through. No! It can't end here, not after all he has been through! It can't end in some random fight between beasts he doesn't even know! In one last effort to save his own hide the fox twists, hoping to either free himself from the blade running through him...or yank it out of the beasts grasp.
Aithne growls as she tries to stab him deeper and then tries to yank the blade back towards her and lets go of it as she tumbles backwards with a growl.
Pipkin passes out by now.
He isn't the only one. Bandit rolls to his side, still clutching at the blade sticking out of his gut. "Elena...I..." Whatever he says is lost. He catches sight of the vixen tumbling away from him before his consciousness falls away from him.
Aithne stands and limps off, she needs to find and report to Hudson.
Pipkin lies by the gates, soon a couple healers have been found and brought to tend to the two beasts, they do what the can and take them to the infirm for further help.
