From Redwall MUCK Wiki

This signifies my withdrawal from the big Redwall plot. Its mainly a silly little thing, Jos the only one who seemed to actually take it seriously xD Sorry mate.

Characters Involved:

Ayita

Jo

Flicktail

Thalion

Otto

The pat pat of paws signifies Ayita's arrival though...somethings missing. Singing! She's not singing or humming or dancing or...skipping or anything! In fact, she looks somewhat preoccupied.

Jo nods at flicktail then looks at ayita as she comes in, "Hello Ayita." he says nods his head in greeting

Otto looks up and sees Ayita enter, He smiles a warm smile but it quickly fades to concern, as he asks, "Whats wrong lass?"

Thalion arrives from the Staircase..

Thalion has arrived.

Ayita shakes her head. "Weird dreams." she takes a seat next to Otto. "But, enough about me, whats up with all of you?"

Jo says, "Interestin' visions." He throws back"

Flicktail says, "Jo saw Martin e says"

Otto shrugs,"Just came in meself as a matter a fact." He takes of his glasses and looks at her asking, "What kind of vissions?"

Ayita looks mildy paniced. "Visions? What? Who said anything about a vision? He's the one seein' ghosts- " she points at Jo.

Jo walks up to ayita and tickles her then runs away to about 2 feet, "I saw Martin sunshine, I could only assume ye' also saw martin cuz he mentioned ye' also."

Flicktail says, "it looks like it be true Lass"

Abruptly, the kitchen door flys open, smacking against the doorway with a loud *CRACK!* Thalion steps in cooly, surveying the room.

Otto looks up to Jo, " Really now?" He then jumps at the door and looks over, "YOU!" He practicalley roars.

Flicktail says, "ello ere young Thalion"

"Stop ticklin' me!" The ottermaid snaps angrily, rather out of character. "I ain't seen nothin'--" her fuming is cut off by a loud WHAM in the the kitchen doorway. "Erm, 'ello'."

Jo puts his ears back and frowns, "why would martin mention ye' to me bout' findin' a hidin' place!" He grumbles, not so much out of anger as not being used to being yelled at

Thalion hails the greetings of the others with a calm confidence, like a star accepting adoration. He waves to Otto, specifically. "Hey, how /you/ doin'?"

Otto fuming stands, and shakes his specs at THalion saying, "Are you incapable of entering a room without causing some form of havoc?"

Flicktail gets up "Oi have ta beto the Sparral loft ta see they search e woods

"Maybe because ye were just hallucinating?" she offers venemously, standing up quite suddenly. She waves a goodnight to her father, still in scary glarey otter mode. "I haven't had a vision! I on't know what your talking about!"

"Havoc?" Thalion grins. "No, this is just the Thalion Doomwhistle style." He casts an eye at the scary glarey otter. "Hey."

Flicktail heads to the sparra loft

Flicktail heads over towards the Stairs..

Flicktail has left.

Otto nods to Flick and glaring at Thallion sayes, "I'll deal with /you/ later." He then walks over to Ayita and sayes grandfatherly, "Calm down lass. If ya didn't have a vision you didn't. Sit please."

Jo ears droop and he frowns, "I...whats wrong Ayita?" He asks gently

Ayita shakes her head. "I'm not sitting down, I'm not calming down --" she looks over at Thalion and raises her eyebrows "Unless I get to sit next to mr. Thalion Doomwhistle himself." she completly ignores Jo. Ouch.

Otto smacks his lips and sayes, "Vey well." He glares at Thallion and grumbles something. He the sayes to the whole room, "Why don't I make some tea?" He then bussles out to the kitchen.

Jo winces visibly and casts his gaze to the ground, he picks up the shield and walks over to the table below the tapestry and puts the shield in the large drawer then sits down in a corner and sniffs, hugging his knees to himself

"Now /that's/ what I'm talking about, the famous Redwall hospitality!" Thalion strolls over to Ayita, moving to link arms. He also leans over to whisper something in her ear.

Thalion whispers, "I made the Doomwhistle part up." to you.

Ayita continues her angry glaring at Jo. "Sorry, mate." she gladly accepts the linking of the arms and keeps her head down as something is whispered to her, giggles, then whispers back.

You whisper, "I know ;)" to Thalion.

the old mouse bussles back in carrying a tray of tea. He puts it on the table and looks at Jo, then Ayita. He sayes to her a bit strongley, "Ayita...may I speak with you in the kitchen?"

Thalion chuckles at whatever was whispered, then continues to confer with the ottermaid.

Thalion whispers, "It doesn't sound very intimidating, does it." to you.

Ayita looks over at Otto, sighs in a very teenagerish 'mooom but I /like/ his skeleton tattoo!' sort of way looks back up at her new best friend and sighs again. "Be right back, I guess." Pout pout. She follows Otto flat footed to the kitchen.

Otto stares at Ayita over his half moon specs and leads her to the kitchen

Otto heads off towards the Abbey Kitchen..

Otto has left.

You move off towards the Kitchen..

RW Abbey: Kitchen

This is a long, narrow room with five large fireplaces set into one wall, and two equally large wood burning iron stoves set against the opposite wall. Several small, rectangular tables rest in here, but there are no chairs available. The rest of the wallspace is taken up by an entire array of shelves, cupboards, and counters which hold the day-to-day cooking supplies and utensils. The kitchen is clean and well maintained, and more recent efforts have been made toward organization of the cooking ware.

On the wall just right of the door leading into Great Hall is a neatly penned chart, which lists the names of beasts assigned to cooking duty as well as the dates and times they are scheduled. A small note above the chart urges residents to volunteer for at least a slot or two a week.

The curtains around the windows have been drawn against the night. The room is dark and the ovens are cold.

"Whaaaaaat?" the ottermaid whines.

Otto looks at her for a long momentwith his arms behind his back. Not angrey but with a look of sadness, "Ayita," he begins, "You know Jo has been through alott. Now whats up. You don't have to give me all the factss, but tell me what has you accting this way?" .

"So? That gives him the right to curl up like a dibbun and cry? If our fate rests in his paws, we are royally screwed." she crosses her arms across her chest "I'm acting this way because I see what this place is like now. And I can't stand it. I'm leaving. TONIGHT." And with that, she stomps right back out to the Great Hall.

You head off into the Great Hall..

RW Abbey: Great Hall

The Great Hall of Redwall Abbey. Countless paw falls have echoed from these stones, and untold numbers of feasts and merry gatherings have been held here. A table, not nearly so grand or large as its predecessors, but quite functional for mealtimes, rests near the center of the hall. Chairs exist here aplenty, and they are all of a matching set. High above, the stain glass windows give the Great Hall a beautiful appearance. The glasswork is exceptionally done, crafted by a skilled artist. The floor is clean and swept. A fire is kept burning in the fireplace at almost all times of the day and night, and there are several more comfortable chairs and cushions set up here, of varying sizes. One looks large enough to easily accommodate a badger.

The Tapestry hangs proud and tall, and while the rest of Redwall may still bear the scars of natural disaster, this most famous of Redwall's relics remains unharmed by beast, time, or the elements. The figure of Martin the Warrior seems to be watching over his own with an unchanging, kindly gaze.

You can make out nothing through the large windows except the faintest glimmer of stars above the smudge of dark that is the Abbey's walls. Soft blue moonlight is trickling down from the windows above.

Otto arrives from the Abbey Kitchen..

Otto has arrived.

Otto enters the Hall looking melancholy, and rubbing his temples.

Ayita returns, not even looking at Jo now, and returns to her arm linked position with Thalion. While she may seem angry, its almost as if its the happiest shes ever been...

"Oh, hey." Thalion greets Ayita. "What was your name, again?"

Jo nods at Thalion, "Somethin' like tat', more like seeing martin 'round here."

"Ayita...but you can call me Ita." She replies, batting her eyelids.

Otto looks to Ayita and... smiles? He sayes almost as if talking of the weather, "Well Ayita, your not a dibbun. And the Abbey isn't a prison." He rubbed something out of his eye and continued, "If you wish to leave you may. But we /will/ miss you." He the whent and sat with a cup of tea, and stared at the floor.

Thalion says, "Oh... kay then." Thalion blinks at the batted eyelids. Hmm. Those large ears are good for something, and they perk at Otto's words. "Oh, what, you're leaving?""

Jo turns his head away and sets his chin on one of his knees, "Why would ye' leave?" He mutters more of a question to himself about ayita then directed towards ayita

Ayita looks over at Otto like he's crazy. "You think I needed your approval?" then back to Thalion. "I'm heading for Camp Willow tonight. I can't take anymore of this-" she waves a paw about the hall "place"

Otto sips his tea almost as if he's in a bubble. He seems almost like he is in a trance.

"What's Camp Willow, some kind of secret training camp?" Thalion looks interested.

Jo asks, "What happened ayita?" He asks again gently"

Ayita grins. "Its an Otter camp, run by Otters, inhabited by otters...its otters galore. My kind of place." a glare is shot at Jo. Again. "Nothing happened, I can see things like they are. This is not a good place to be, and I'm leaving."

Jo asks, "T-this has been ye' home all yer' life, why would ye' leave it?" He stands up and looks right at ayita with tears in his eyes, arms hanging at his sides. trying not to believe what is happening"

"Are /all/ the otters pretty?" Thalion appears to be in some measure of thought. "Well, obviously not the males, but, still. How's the food?"

"Oh, grow UP Jo! Martin entrusted his whatever to you, and you cry because your pretend girlfriend has a mind of her own?" her eyes narrow dangerously, though she turns around to look at Thalion and her singsong voice is back. "Otters are a naturally pretty species. Especially the males." Wink.

Otto stands and walks over to the tapestry staring at it long and hard. His eyes then close and he stands..and ..stands.. and faints.

Thalion contemplates this last statement for a moment. "Yeah, but that's kind of weird, isn't it?" And then Otto faints. "Hey. Old Mouse just... is he dead?" That certainly sounds interesting/exciting.

Ayita looks at Otto for a moment, curiously. "I think hes just passed out. We should probably do something." the ottermaid disentangles her arm from Thalion's and moves to pull Otto upright, brushing past Jo coldy. "Someone splash water on his face or something."

Jo says, "I-I don' know why I was chosen for it, and I like ye' Ayita more than ye' think ye know." He says with a frown, "Ye' think its a field of daisies!!?? My own village was burned down, my parents killed and I was part of a circus troupe for 'alfr a season, Ye' think im not afraid tooo?""

"He's not dead?" Thalion sounds a little disappointed, but grabs a handy pitcher of water and prepares to splash it in Otto's face. Then Jo catches his attention. "Oh, that is /so/ cliched."

Ayita turns and gives Jo a sidelong glance. "Yeah, you and half the abbey." she gives Otto a shake. "This is going to put a damper on my vacation plans."

"Oh yeah." Thalion throws the entire pitcher of water on Otto's face. Just the water, mind you.

Otto his eyes snap open and he whispers raspelley,in a voice not quite his own, "FROM THE WILLOW A FLOWWER SHAL SPRING! AND TH DEVIDED BLOSSOMS SHALL BECOME ONE, SHELTERING FROM THE LOCUSTS WHO WILL WILT THE GREAT ROSE!" He then passed out again, but his breathing was even and he appeared asleep.

Ayita drops Otto quite suddenly. "Thats it, I'm out." And she is, she races up the staircase to fetch her things, leaving the rest of them alone.

"Well, /that/ was really weird." Thalion sets the pitcher down. "Hey Jo, do we have any more of these sitting around?"

Jo says, "T-try the kitchen." he says sadly, watching Ayita head off. So comes the depressing days. The otter walks over to Otto and picks him up in his arms and carry's him up to the infirmiry"

Thalion just watches everyone in the room traipse up the stairs. "Well, I guess I don't need one, then.."

Ayita returns at the bottom of the staircase, her bag slung over her shoulder. "Oh, good their gone. No awkward goodbyes I guess!" she puts her hands together Chinese style and bows to Thalion. "I hope to see you around, oh great Doomwhistle."
