HOW TO: Add new help pages
From Redwall MUCK Wiki
- From the "Create Content" link on the right select "Help Pages". You can also use the "add child page" link from another help page (at the bottom).
- Select the category or categories you want from the list at the top - these are used by other parts of the site for search and sorting.
- Write or paste in your article. Drupal uses HTML for formatting, you can insert HTML by hand if you know how or use the buttons above to insert html tags. While it may be usefull to write your article in a word processor first so you can spell check it and such, you still need to add formating in the submision form.
- Below the "Body" text field, expand the "Book Outline" dropdown. Select "Redwall MUCK Help Guide" as the book and the Parent item as the page you want your article to appear on.
- In the same section there is a dropdown called "Weight". The lower the number the higher on the page your link will appear; items of the same weight will sort alphabeticly. You can usualy ignore this.
- Check the URL Path settings. "Automatic Alias" is checked by default and will name your page based on the title you used. In most cases this is fine. If you need a different page name for some reason, uncheck it and type in:
content/yourpagename
WARNING! - There is a bug with the automatic path settings where if you had set a custom name and then go back to edit it later, the Automatic alias box will be checked again and it will rename the page when you save. Make sure to uncheck it if this is the case.
- When you're done, click "Save".
