Going Too Far
Characters: Kentar, Garnet (spoof), Aikuen, Skuld, Will, Fira, Mayeul
Morning arises near the Broadstream, as the day on the party begins. Aikuen got back with Fira last night shortly after Kentar and Will went to sleep. Not wanting to disturb them the both went to their respective bedrolls, and slept. As the day slowly creeps over the trees, the otter comes awake, "Wah... Ni...Fo'cho..." He shakes the sleep from his eyes and peers around the site.
Kentar and Garnet were already up. They were next to the fire, talking quietly to each other about something, keeping their voices low so they don't awaken anyone by mistake.
Aikuen groggily gets up and walks slowly to the fire. Sitting down he rubs his eyes so he can get a better look at the pair, "Eh... Morning... you two... Ung..." He arches his back, and there is a loud snap, as it pops.
Kentar looks over to Aikuen and smiles. "Mornin' sleepy pants" he says, cringing a bit at the snap. "Sleep well?"
Aikuen tilts his head to Kentar, "Your happy this morning... Eh, yah... I slept fine... Like a dibbun, with a rock jabbed in his back... Ung..." Though there is female company present, the otter still scratches his sides lazily, "How bout you two?..."
They both sort of shrug. "Fine" "Fine" They both reply. Kentar just grins lazily. "Is there a reason to be upset or something?" he asks. "I can go back to my usual mopey self if you'd like"
Aikuen raises a brow, "No... Dont... Just... Surprised i guess. Im glad that you feel happier anyway" He scratches his head and tosses an annoying spider, that's been crawling in his fur, into the fire. He takes a deep breath and looks to the both, "Well..."
Kentar shrugs and chuckles a bit. "I'm just in a good mood today" he then tilts his head. "Well? Well what?"
Aikuen shakes his head and smiles, "Oh... Nothing..." Doesn't want to say it, he may be wrong. He reaches for his pack and pulls out a canteen a takes a good draft of it.
Kentar Frowns. "I hate it when you do that" he says, going to give the otter a gentle yet annoyed shove. "Come on, well what?"
Aikuen snorts and slaps his knee, "Well Alright..." He chuckles and says, "Looks like you two are hitting it off nicely...Heh"
Kentar nods and chuckles. He was about to speak but the stoatmaid got to first. "Yeah...Kenny here and I seem to like a lot of the same stuff" she says. He rolls his eyes and his ears turn red at the name.
Aikuen looks to Kentar with a big ole grin on his face, "Kenny? Eh? Well, Well, Well! Heh" He is trying very hard not laugh.
Kentar frowns. "Its nothing" he mutters. "Yeah! Kenny. Short for Kentar...sounds better too I think" She nods.
Aikuen snorts a little bit, "Well...Kenny... It just doesn't seem like nothing to me... Oh but what do i know!" He cant hold it in any longer and laughs, "Hahahah... Ole Kentar...I mean... Kenny! No wonder you are so happy today! Hahaha!"
Kentar Frowns and goes to -shove- Aikuen over, not liking being laughed at, his good mood spoiled. "Oh shuddup riverdog" he grumbles.
Aikuen just falls over when Kentar shoves him, to busy holding his sides to care at the moment. He sighs and wipes the dirt from his face and sits back down, and says, "Okay... Okay... Ill be quiet now...Er, Kentar..." He snorts but acts like it was just him clearing his throat, "Er right... Ill be good... and quiet..." He cant help but have a small grin on his face.
Kentar gets a bit of a grin. "So Aikuen. Did you happen to wet the bedroll again? Cause I seriously think I don't want to clean up that bedroll again" he grins. Garnet tilts her head then can't help but to laugh. "He wets the bed? Hahaha" she almost topples over laughing.
Aikuen scratches his head, he is a little dense and didn't get the joke. He looks to them both and tilts his head, "Yah i did... It happens when you go to bed, right after getting out of the stream. And no, you don't have to clean it up, it dries out on its own..." He chuckles along with them, then it hits him, "You little..." Grunting, he points a finger at the Stoat, "You Liar! You..." He grunts again, he can think of a bunch of colorful insults, but decided against it, and just glare at the Stoats.
Kentar laughs and grins, laughing more and more. "Just like a liddle dibbun' he is, soaks the bed every night"
There's movement from the trussed up kitten. Just an odd wriggle as she starts to wake up.
Aikuen is trying to decide to shove the stoat or not. Course if he did, he'd probably injure him in someway. He takes a deep breath and pulls out his dagger and whet stone, and begins to sharpen it loudly, "Yah yah... Laugh it up... Kenny..." He shakes his head, grunts, and looks to the movement, "Looks like our little prisoner is waking..." He chuckles.
Kentar looks over to the Kitten and grins. "Should I give it back when she's fully awake?" he asks, ignoring being called 'Kenny'
Skuld snuffles. She's confused about where she is for a moment. And why her movement's so limited. And then she remembers. The slump of defeat as she remembers is quite visible.
Aikuen shakes his head and laughs, "Nah... Let her scream her little threats... When we go we can give it back then..." He looks over and yells at the cat, "Morning sunshine! Have a nice sleep?"
Kentar grins and nods. He was about to say something to Garnet but she wanted off to go fishing. He shrugs and leans in to whisper Aikuen. "You know, I'd love to torture the poor thing first...Make her know to stay away..."
Skuld tries to turn to look at them. She can't hear anything that isn't called to her, and she doesn't seem to want to talk to them anyway. But she can still glare, if she can see them. And probably will anyway even if she can't.
Aikuen shrugs. Yes he wants to torture the beast into the ground, but for reasons, he just cant. he whispers back to Kentar, "Just... Don't use weapons or... your fists... which might be difficult... but try anyway..." He takes a deep breath and looks back to the cat, and shakes his head.
Kentar frowns some. "How am I supposed to torture the thing without weapons or fists?" he asks. "I know why you wont...Don't want to lose Fira...Well...Why not let me use me dagger for a bit while your swimming...you come back and save the kitten, then you wont lose her, cause you didn't fight?" he grins.
Skuld is watching. Just glaring at them. She may not be able to hear them. But she's starting to think something's up. Her glare worsens.
Aikuen nods, cant beat that logic. Taking the whet stone he drags the edge of the dagger vertically on it, then hands the now dull, but seriated dagger too Kentar, "Do what you gatta do... Ill be on the otherside... Il jump in later... when it seems to be to... er... gruesome..." He sighs and hopes the Fira doesn't find out about this.
Kentar nods and takes the dagger. "Right mate...I'll do my best not to kill her" he grins, slowly standing and twirling the blade between his fingers as he walks along towards Skuld.
They're moving. Skuld isn't sure which to glare at for a moment. But then, the stoat is walking towards her... With a dagger! Oddly, the kitten's mouth slowly turns into a nasty little grin.
Aikuen Nods slowly and slips into the stream. He pops up on the other side and soon is lost to the forest on the other side.
Kentar grins and wanders over to the kitten. "I really don't get why your grinning you little runt" he grins himself.
Skuld eyes Kentar, but doesn't change her expression. She doesn't answer him either. Just continues to grin at him, though there's a wary spark within her eyes, now.
Kentar smirks and goes to grab the kitten's ear, slowly taking his dagger and going to cut a curve into it slowly, taking out some of the ear, but it won't be gone completely. He works the blade very slowly.
Skuld freezes stiffly and cries out as the blade starts to cut through her ear! There is quite, possibly, within this unintelligible cry of pain, several words that a dibbun shouldn't know. Tears prick at her eyes, one finding it's way out between closed lids to run over her nose.
Kentar chuckles quietly to himself, slowly slicing off part of her left ear, letting it fall to the ground before he slowly runs the blunt part of the blade over her head. "Lets see...What shall I do next, hrm?"
Aikuen watches from the bushes. The ear cutting off is just what he expects from the stoat, but he remains silent, till he is needed.
Will had been woke from his sleep by the kitten's cries. Not knowing right off where the cries where coming from he suck his head out of his burrow to look around. He sees the stoat by the tree where the cat is still tied up. The rat crawls out of his burrow to better see what it is that Kentar is doing.
There's blood where her ear was cut, messing her fur a little, and now on the ground too. Her eyes open as her body tries to counter the pain with emotions of survival. And anger, once more, flickers in her eyes, behind the tears.
Kentar grins slowly and runs the blade carefully down the side of her face, going to leave a nice long cut going down the side for a visible scar there before bringing the blade close to her eye. "Maybe I should take this...." he grins. "Beasts with one eye are generally better" he smirks.
Aikuen could hear what he said, and gives a low whistle, like a bird. That's a little much for him, and doesn't want it too happen.
Will had kept silent thus far letting Kentar do what he liked to the kitten trying to decided if he should stop the stoat or not. His ear flick back at the wistle for only a moment before he grabs for the stoat's dagger welding arm, "That's enough!" The rat growls.
Kentar grins, getting lost in this, remembering how it felt to be able to cause pain. He blinks a bit as Will tries to grab him, the stoat attempting to push the rat away before aiming the blade carefully towards Skuld's eye, slowly moving the blade forward.
The rat hits the ground from the force of the push but is back on his feet in seconds. He draws his sword and having little idea how to stop the stoat lightly jabs at him to at least get his attention away from the kitten.
Aikuen bursts from bushes from the other side and dives into the water, trying to charge the stoat. He doesn't notice Will at the moment.
Skuld can almost feel the blade pricking her eyelid and scrunches her eyes shut tighter. She whimpers, but doesn't beg or plead. Nor does the activity around her get much of a reaction, yet.
Kentar grins and slowly drags the blade across the eyelid, scratching up the front of the eye, ruining it but not removing it yet. That is until of course, Aikuen bowls him over, the blade scratching the area around the eye as its thrown away, the stoat oofing loudly when he hits the ground.
Will hears the otter coming but does have enough time to get out of the way and is also knocked over though probably not as badly as his target. The rat lost his sword when he fell and once he's up he begins to look around for it.
Aikuen anger has taken over as he pins the stoat to the ground, and back paws the stoat across the face. He yells to keep the ruse alive, "I said don't hurt her!" He glares at the Stoat.
Will finds his sword and a familiar dagger no doubt the one the stoat was using from the blood on it. He holds the dagger in his left paw and walks closer to the otter and stoat, "Oh, then I suppose Kentar stole your dagger to use on th cat!" Will draws his sword again and slides it under the bonds holding Skuld to the tree cutting her free. "Get out of here," he says watching her should she try to attack any of them.
Kentar growls and struggles to get up but is totally binned. "Get off me! get off me! Off! Off! Just let me take her eyes, come on!" he growls, trying to bite the otter now.
Aikuen curses to himself, he knew he forgot something, don't use your dagger... He is an idiot. He keeps the Stoat pinned against the ground, and places a paw on Kentars forehead, too keep him from biting him. He says, "Easy now... and ill let you go..." He watches Will letting the cat go, and turns back to Kentar, "Where is the bag.. Were giving it back, and letting her go... we have done enough damage."
As soon as she's free, the kitten just slumps against the tree, her paws going up to cover her face, her eyes, as she slides into almost a sitting position. She's forgotten about her maimed ear for the moment.
Kentar keeps trying to struggle. "Bag on me belt...now get off! Get off off off off off!" he growls. "Get off or I'll bite you!"
Will sighs, "Skuld, your bag is safe. Kentar didn't really burn it. If we give it back to you will you leave us alone from now on?"
Aikuen nods and pops off the bag from the stoats belt. He slowly gets off Kentar, and holds the bag in his paws, looking to the cat.
Skuld hears what William says. One eye peers blearily out from under her paw. That eye focuses on the bag, and her ruined ear gives a twitch. For the moment, though it's clear she heard and understood, Skuld makes no attempt to reply, just watching her bag.
Kentar jumps to his footpaws and draws his own dagger, attempting to push Aikuen out of the way, lunging at Skuld, leaving himself open to a perfect blow to the head if the otter can manage it, just enough to knock him out of course.
Aikuen is shoved, then he becomes alarmed, and drops the bag were he stood. He lunges at the stoat, but instead of punching him, he decided to put him in an headlock. He squeezes tightly, "There will be no more of this..." though the stoat cant move, or breath much, he left the stoats arms wide open for retaliation.
Will ducks around the other two and grab the bag before returning to his previous spot. "Ok, cat, you take your bag, you leave and go to a healer if you like and don't bother us anymore!" He drops the bag by the kitten.
Skuld sees the bag drop from the rat's paws. For the moment, it seems as though she cares for littl else, even so much as to be oblivious to the two fighting beasts. One paw raised to her damaged eye, she reaches for it, the free paw hugging it tight to her chest.
Kentar yelps and is headlocked. He spins the dagger around in his paw once, before aiming the blade for Aikuen's side, attempting to drive it in as best as he can but it forces his arms into a weird position, probably most likely going to just going to scratch him.
Aikuen grunts as the blade grazes his side, and pulls out a hunk of flesh. He grunts with pain, as he flings the stoat headfirst into the ground, and places his knee on his back. He grasped his side, as he use the other paw to pull Kentars right arm back into a position it cant go into normally, one slight pull can easily break it. He growls, "Be good matey... Don't want to break it..." He doesn't really care much for his side, Will or the cat right now.
Kentar yelps and drops the dagger right away, growling. "Let me go waterdog! Let me go right now!" he growls.
Will sits down on the ground and wipes the dagger he's still holding clean on some grass. "Tell me who wins so I can kill him for killing th other of you, alrioght," he calls over cheerily wishing yet again that they weren't so alike.
Aikuen glares at Will, and pulls on the arm. There is a loud snap, as it become dislocated from the shoulder. He chuckles and gets up, "You're let go Stoat..."
"Break it..." The kitten mutters, eyes hidden with her head down and one paw still over the damaged one. The tears are no longer flowing, though she's still quite a mess, sat beneath that tree. A shift, and her one good eye glints slightly- she might even smile, a little, as she hears that snap.
Kentar yelps loudly and breaks into tears as his arm is dislocated, the stoat falling to the ground and quickly grabbing it to try to keep it from hurting.
"You're supposed to be leaving, cat," Will says again. He turns to glare at the otter, "Breaking bones on purpose is alroight but biting too hard on accident isn't?" He rolls his eye, "Won't Fira be thrilled." Turning back around he mutters to himself, "Mouse thought /I/ needed to see him. Out of /all of us/ he picked /me/! He better have a good reason for it ..."
Aikuen eyes twitch as he kneels back down to the stoat, grabbing his arm and pulling it back abruptly, and it snaps back into place. He scoffs, "Yes im a hypocrite... get over it..." And the Fira comment just nearly makes him snap. He looks to Fira, who had woken up, and obviously knew what happened. She just shakes her head and gets up walking toward the trees. The older just goes over to the fire and shoves his sword in, muttering curses all along the way. He may have just ruined his life again...
Kentar Yowls as his arm is jerked up and snapped back into place, gritting his teeth. He growls out some odd curses loudly as he rubs his shoulder. "Stupid otter...nugh" he grumbles.
The kitten inspects her bag, as best she can with one eye. And then decides, without further comment or argument, to slink away after the rat speaks to her. Should anyone glimpse her, she can be seen to be stumbling, a little, in a mostly Southern direction, for now.
