Gaining A New Friend and Speaking About Old Friends(Long Patrol Log)

~~On the Shore~~

Celina is getting out for some fresh air, only a short distance from the mountain, as she seems too worried to go too far after the time with the toads.

Thunderwing is circling and sees the hare, but he doesn’t seem a threat to her, in fact he lands a good few feet away from her and tilts his head as he watches her.

Celina frowns, she then sees the shadow and tenses up some, seeing the large bird doesn't help matters as she gives off a for sure loud scream and starts to back away.

Flare comes running down the beach when he hears the scream, but then slows as he sees the eagle and grins "Lass, tis ok that is my friend Thunderwing, he wouldn’t hurt ya...more like protect ya from any harm" He walks over to the bird and smiles "Took ya long enough ya old bag of feathers"

Thunderwing puffs out and turns to see the other hare "Other bunny is being loud, Thunderwing not like loud sounds." He perns a wing before speaking "Thunderwing help an abbey beast then Thunderwing came here..Thunderwing fly faster and make in half time yes?"

Celina calms only a little as she looks back to Flare remembering him from the other day, she gives a quiet "Hallo" She looks at his outfit and blinks "Your...joining de LP?"

Flare nods to them both, "Yep..A recruit, thought I join up and maybe start a new life here. Seems nice so far and I have helped already with getting you and that Flint to safely lass"

Thunderwing looks Flare up and down and shrugs "Thunderwing not really caring, Thunderwing still help when needing help."

Celina listens to the bird talk, "You would have a good view from the sky if there was any trouble right?" She asks after a while.

Flare grins and then he seems to remember something, "Thunderwing, speaking of bally well keeping an eye out for trouble, ya remember that ferret Magus, tis possible he is in this area and if he is he needs dealth with before he causes any trouble. It’s a also possible he has a friend helping him"

Thunderwing bops his head "Thunderwing can for sure keep eye out for troubling ferret, he have falcon too Thunderwing remember"

Flare nods "Yeah seen it with him once, ya right best keep an eye out for the falcon also"

Celina frowns "Ferret and a falcon? What would they be doing in this area if they were here?"

Thunderwing looks hopeful "Cause wants pecked?"

Flare chuckles at Thunderwing and looks over at Celina, "Not sure. Can’t be good if it’s the same one then most vermin are up to nothing good ever lass"

Celina still seems a little edgy around the large bird, "So..you have an eagle as a friend, that’s sort of neat."

Thunderwing nods "Thunderwing friend to all good beasts"

Flare nods "Yep he has been my friend for a couple seasons now, a very good friend"

Celina smiles at the eagle "Maybe I can be your friend also"

Thunderwing nods "Thunderwing would like yes."

Flare nods "I say we get back inside"

Celina heads on inside and stops by the opening, she glances at the bird and then the guards and sighs “Just so ya know he isn’t coming in” The guards look a little worried.

Flare nods “Not to worry friends, he is on the LP side” He looks at Thunderwing “Be a good chap and keep an eye out for Magus and his buddy, and that falcon as well”

Thunderwing nods to this and goes to take off into the sky.

Celina goes on inside after watching the large bird fly off and heads to the training room.

Flare heads on inside as well, deep down he hopes the ferret is not Magus but he also is not taking any chances.

~~~Inside The training Room~~ ~

Celina does some simple sit ups after she is here and a couple push-ups but she is still a little sore from fighting off toads and running through a swamp.

Flare enters the room, "Whoa..neat room and take it slow lass, I am sure they are not expecting ya to get back to full training so soon, you only been back a couple days after all lass"

Celina nods slowly, "I know. I don’t do much yet and just joined like right before me and.." Its here she suddenly has tears and hugs her knees to her chest, laying her chin on her knees and goes silent.

Flare frowns, great he has made someone cry..way to go him! Not...he walks over "Something I said? Do ya mean Flint? Flint be fine lass...it may take a bit of time for him to recover but he be bally well fine"

Celina shakes her head as more tears come"No..Seaweed."

Flare nods "Who is Seaweed? Does he..she need found?"

Celina shakes her head "No..they killed him, he was a seagull and still only a dibbun...like 5 seasons and he tried to help me and they killed him, he died and the toads didn't seem to care at all! “

Flare frowns and walks over, if allowed he will offer a hug, even if he doesn’t know her he knows what it is like to lose a friend and even deeper a loved one, he won't say anything weather he gets a hug or not, he is just there to offer support, a friend if you would.

Celina allows the hug and hugs back crying into his tunic, she stays this way for a while, maybe 20 minutes in fact before she sniffles and slows in her sobbing, and his tunic is most likely wet now from tears.

Flare pats her back and seems unsure what to say, "You know.....he will always be in your heart lass, in your memories and ya could honor him by remembering him"

Celina nods "I..I know but it's still sad"

Flare sighs, death he never did like and he goes to thinking of when he lost rosewater and his unborn child and frowns, I..lost a loved one recently as well, found a poem somewhere that might or might not help."

Celina shrugs.

Flare says, "The day you left ..the moment changed forever, the day your heart stopped beating and mine begun to hurt...the day your eyes closed and mine filled with tears...the day you left....was the day the changed forever."

Celina sniffs and just frowns, she is listening and maybe it’s helping, she seems unsure. “I miss him"

Flare had been quiet and then seems to snap back to the here and now "Course ya do lass, but he would be glad to know you got home safe and he risked his life to try and help ya. The pain of a loss doesn’t ever go totally away, but it does become somewhat less painful as time goes by and ya friends can help and your parents can help, am I right?"

Celina nods as she hugs him and stands slowly "Thanks for...the talk, I best get to my room, mom and dad may be wandering why I missed lunch." She heads off.

Flare nods slowly and then blinks "WOT! Ya mean..lunch already happen!" He looks like this is a horrible horrible thing, he missed lunch and he never misses lunch, he sighs and sits down by the wall "Well...today should be jolly well swell...not"

Celina has made it to her room by now and spends the rest of the day with her mom and dad.
