Finding Seth

(This happens close to the clearing north of the abbey)

Zork keeps alert as he walks along the path, he sighs as he feels bad for letting the otter maid get caught in the first place, he kicks a rock and mutters “Stupid knock out darts or..herbs, rat needs taken’ down”

Seth is walking along chuckling and then sees the badger and smirks as he puts away the gold, “Well well well…the stripe dog”

Zork draws his blade, “Where be Streamheart rat?” A snarl issues forth.

Seth chuckles coldly, ”Gone..sold, off to who knows where, now..” He draws forth his blade” Ya die!”

Zork is ready and charges not giving the rat die to do much.

Seth gasps and barely sidesteps the large badger, he slices at his side.

Zork gets a small pink line as he already knew the rat would try something, he angles his large blade and slices at the rat again, faking a left as he then goes right.

Seth gets his tunic ripped, and some blood spills from his side as the blade cuts into him a little, he kicks at the badger and flicks a poison tipped dagger at him.

Zork frowns and lets the dagger clink off his blade, ”Give up rat and answer de question, ya sold her…ta who and where?” He goes to punch him if he can.

Seth fails to block it, the fist makes his snout bloody and he growls as he goes to stab Zork.

Zork blocks this with skill and pants, he does a quick slice up and across in hopes of getting the rats head off.

Seth is not enjoying this fight and thinks quickly as some blood drips down his face as his left ear is gone, the one dagger missed but this one he plans not to miss and smirks, "You won't find out where she be stripe dog, not telling ya" He flicks the dagger at the badger.

Coldfeather yarks loudly as he lands in a tree, he goes back to watching the fight.

Zork barely misses this dagger also, it does make a mark on his chainmail some but doesn’t cut the skin, which is good, he pants and angles his sword again looking for a good time to try to get another slice in.

Seth glares at the badger, "Think you’re so quick, well that’s fine I don't need to use those daggers, I have other weapons and means of doing things, as for the otter maid she is clearly not with me is she and I am not saying whether she is dead or alive either"

Coldfeather tilts his head, he looks between the rat and the badger as they fight and puffs out.

Zork glares at the rat "Ya not gonna get aways with this Seth, thar be others looki' fer ya, now ya gonna surrender or...this ends now?"

Seth smirk as he pulls out a dart gun, already loaded, “Your right…it does” He then blows on it, a dart flies at the badger leg.

Coldfeather watches, will the badger sidestep this one, he waits.

Zork narrows his eyes, he angles his blade and goes to slice at the rats paw at the same time the dart hits his leg and he gets a burning pain and about falls backwards.

Seth yelps loudly as the sword slices off two fingers, but yet he smiles coldly as the dart hits the badger’s leg and chuckles threw his pain, blood spills but he holds tight pressure on his paw to make the bleeding less, he grins. ”Slow working but still deadly, only I or my coworkers would have the antidote, and the only coworker I have is dead and I am not giving it to you, you may make it to the abbey, I could care less, even their Master Healer can’t save you from this one, he can just watch you slowly die.” He smiles “It won’t be right away, maybe few hours…enjoy your last day of life, I bid you farewell foolish stripe dog!”

Coldfeather studies the badger now and almost frowns.

(An hour later at the abbey gates)

Leon has decided to take a short walk, some herbs they need grow right along the wall and so he is not too far out of the abbey.

Zork walks slowly towards the gates, he sees Leon and walks towards him but falls sideways and tenses up a little, "Leon...h..help"

Cera is by the entry and was going to help, well least hold the herbs, she sees Zork and gasps as she wheels over to him.

Leon blinks and then rushes over to check Zork over, he doesn’t see wounds that are too bad, then notices the dart and frowns, "What happen, who did you fight? Was it Seth?" He checks breathing and pulse quickly forgetting any herbs by the wall and notices Cera, "Cera! May need you to get a guard or something...where is Seth now?"

Zork breathing is slow and pulse weakening, "Woods...north of ere'...leg hurts, bad.." His voice slurs a little as he coughs some closing his eyes, but he is still breathing and has a heartbeat, but both are weak and weakening as time goes by.

Cera eyes go wide as she notices the dart, "No..." she whispers and seems at first she rather run, but she can't and she knows it, she is the only one that can help and so she pulls a vile out of her robe, she can explain later, "Get me..to Zork please!

Leon looks confused "What’s that Cera?" He asks and starts to shake his head, but then thinks hard on something she said a couple days ago and lifts her from the chair and sits her by the badger, "Explain? What’s in the vile...wait you were with Seth before" He frowns, he notices the swelling by the dart and shakes his head, lowering pulse, slowing breathing, he frowns. "Poison dart but..what kind does Seth use?"

Zork is barely awake now but seems to still fight to stay awake, least best he can, he opens his eyes and looks at Cera. "L..Lass.."

Cera is sat down and wastes no time, vile open and she goes to pour it down Zork's throat, she shakes just a little, she answers "S..Seth g..gave me, when worked for him...taught me...some his poisons and antidotes, gave me couple and antidotes for them too to..to study, n..never gave them back, forgot then when was destroying everything an armored mouse said..k..keep this vile so did and..and now know why"

Leon watches her closely and looks around, "It may be unsafe to stay outside Cera, we have to get inside, sooner rather than later"

Zork coughs but somehow manages to drink the vile and shivers, he is still going to be weak a few days but his breathing and pulse doesn’t get any worse now at least.

Leon calls over a guard he sees, the guard helps him get Cera back into the chair and he looks to Zork, he has the guard get a couple stronger guards, a couple large strong otters appear and help Zork up, Leon stays close as they go to head back inside the abbey, "Infirm.." he says quietly.

Zork groans as he is helped to a cot, his breathing and pulse is still not good, but may be slightly better thanks to the antidote in the vile, otherwise he be getting worse.

Cera wheels into the infirm and stays close to the door letting the others through and sighs as she leans back in her chair concern on her face.

Leon quickly is at Zork's side, he looks at the wound and finds some herbs he keeps in a jar on a far row, he cleans and applies the herb to the wound “This will help draw out any more of it, and should help with swelling." He sounds worried as he makes a semi tight bandage.

Cera nods slowly, she frowns still and looks like she is near crying maybe, she wipes her eyes.

Zork breaths in and out and shivers some, he tries to speak as he drifts in and out of a possible faint, "S..Seth..near clearing north, d..didn’t have her with him" He tenses up as his leg hurts some, but the pain starts to lessen a little, but slowly, he doesn’t get any other words out as side effects still are making him weak.

Leon frowns, he looks at Cera “You know you saved his life, I will not ask more on the vile but...it’s good you keep it, if you had gotten rid of it as you did other stuff, I am almost certain Zork be dead by now, the side effects of whatever this poison was will still affect him some but the antidote will help prevent further effects, should help it clear too, and the herbs I used will help also."

Cera looks up, “It was a black feather, his...slow working poison, still bad but takes longer to...to kill, like maybe 3-5 hours, he may of had in his system..an hour, little more...its effects breathing and heart rate and....yeah, he would of died without the antidote, but he got it and probably just in time..but he probably won’t be doing hardly anything for like a week almost" She looks down.

Zork seems to be picking up words here and there as Cera speaks, his breathing stays about the same, pulse a small bit stronger but he does slip into unconsciousness.

Leon stays close to Zork, "Cera, you have any more of that vile, or know what was in it?"

Cera nods, she shows him "Just a little, but he may need two does as was made for like beasts a little shorter than badgers" She hands it to Leon.

Leon takes it, and carefully gives the rest to Zork, he looks for herbs that can help with breathing, lungwort of of them and a little of another and mixes them in a little water giving the badger that carefully, he gets a cover to keep him warm and gets the fireplace going a little as the fire had dyed down a little. “Thank you Cera"

Cera nods "Of course...Leon? Will Zork be ok?"

Zork only movement is breathing right now and every so often a whimper escapes him.

Leon asks, "Well he stands a lot better chance now than before is all I can say, we wait now and see if it helps ok? Sometimes things take time"

Cera sighs, "I...I know but..." Tears go down her face.

Leon frowns and lays a paw on her shoulder, "I will do what I can, you helped all you can or he be dead now, give it a few hours and we can see how he does, don’t worry"

Cera nods slowly "a..right Leon, I will try."

Lee comes out from the recovery room. "Wot be goin' on?"

Leon looks up as he sees Lee, "There was a fight, near the clearing if understood Zork before he slipped into a deep faint, not sure how long he will be out." He adjust the cover on the badger to keep him warm and checks breathing and pulse as he nods, he jots this down as he will keep a record of it every half an hour, he has a healer stay close.

Cera frowns, "Zork found..found Seth"

Lee asks, "Where?!?"

Leon says, "He muttered..clearing and north, but not when he can be asked he...he’s unconscious""

Cera frowns, "Seth hit him with a dart"

Lee says, "Clearin' ta the north, ye say...hmm..." doesn’t say out loud the plans forming in his mind."

Leon says, "Lee..Zork was poisoned, if it wasn’t for Cera he would be dead by now..you can’t go rushing off"

Cera nods "Yeah, Seth is..is dangerous"

Lee says, "Leon, Cera, I know 'e be dangerous. Wot was Zork out for? Ev'rybeast says wait, wait. The longer we wait, the less chance of findin' me future wife alive. Enough waitin' the time for action be now!"

Leon says, "I know earlier he said something on he had to help, he wanted to find Seth, maybe he feels he is to blame for what happen to Streamheart, I don’t know but yes may be wise to do something now weather than wait"

Cera asks, "Could look in the clearing but if you find Seth, what will you do?"

Lee says, "Well, I won’t be goin' alone, that be for sure. We need ev'ry able bodied warrior, Flick, Rorgan, Rowan...We need the Rangers. I am gonna talk ta Lorimis, or Benar, some elder, an' tell 'em I be gettin' an army, because only an army can save me fiance."

Cera says, "An army may not be best idea and that will take even more time to put together"

Leon sighs, "I am unsure where the others are right now, maybe the guards or head guard could help"

Lee says, "I dunno, wot I do know is I need the Rangers"

Leon says, "Tristan is in charge of the rangers"

Lee nods. "Rowan can probally help wi that."

Cera says, "Seth needs stopped and soon before he harms someone else"

Lee says, "Don't worry, it won’t be long."

Leon nods "Just be careful, he may stay close, can't be too far away" He hmmms "I need to let someone know Zork is here before he finds out from someone else"

Zork stays on the cot, in a deep faint now. What will happen? When will he wake up? Time will tell.
