Final Battle For The Abbey Part 2 (Marek's Revenge TP)
RW Abbey: Open Ground
The Open Ground is a place for feasts, good times and just general social meetings. The wide-open space allows a large group of beasts to gather upon the plush grass and chat. But it also allows access to many places of the abbey, towards the walls of the abbey is the Bell Tower. Notable abbey defenders graves alongside the plot of land the massive structure takes up. A staircase shrouded by a case of stone allows one to make their way to the busy infirmary. The large brass lined doors to the lower dormitory are also evident from this position.
Spring brings soggy grass -- though green, now -- in this open ground. The ground is saturated with melting snows and spring rains, causing muddy spots to dot the field here and there. Green growth is sprouting up everywhere, taking over the tiny bits of snow that can still be spotted hither and yon in secluded areas of the open ground. All and all a cheery scene, with the new growth and such -- but hazardous for the unwary.

Greased Pole
The grounds of Redwall Abbey have been retaken; to the south the Long Patrol have set up camp and ground around the part of the southern wall that the Foremole and his crew brought down. The front gates are wide open and the forces of Ferravale and Mossflower who answered the Abbey's call have taken the entry way and the open ground. Marek's forces have either fled over the eastern wall or retreated back inside the Abbey building where fighting is still happening. The sparrows have come out of their loft and are lending what aid they can whilst four of them fly the tapestry of Martin the Warrior over the roof tops of the abbey and the bells continue to boom! A massive roar goes up from the Long Patrol as a regiment of their best fighters come bounding along the breezeway carrying Abbot Lorimis and several members of the order out of the main abbey building. The sight of the Abbot in the hands of the liberators sends a thrill through the warriors already inside, a boost to everyone’s morale. The combined forces of Salamandastron, Redwall, Mossflower, Gawtrybe, Camp Willow and Ferravale are winning this war and with Marek currently nowhere to be seen on the field his commanders are retreating into the Great Hall refusing to surrender.
Flicktail's head snaps around, the fox's white fur is smudged with dirt and patches of red, while the fox ignores several non-life threatening cuts. When he sees the Patrol Carrying Lorimis he calls to several Abby guards and moves toward his Abbot, cutting down another fox along the way who tries to take on Flicky with a battle axe
Nightbreath sheathes his sword and snaps out his blade-rope to extend his reach. A cluster of heavily armed and armored Ferravalians follow him in a phalanx formation. The Seer swings his blade up and over to scythe away at Marek's fleeing forces, the orchards now secured as the villagers march towards the Abbey.
A war whoop can be heard from outside the gates, and about 20 Ferravale soldiers, some wearing the white armband of the bodyguards of the Chieftain, come charging in, followed by Blisa Wyrmtamer herself...riding a snake. Like, a big, whopping' gonna-squish-you-for-dinner snake. Ferdinand and DoraRose Strongheart are running beside the reptile. Everyone is dressed in varying degrees of armor. Ferdinand's crest has a paw holding a sabre over a ball and chain, and DoraRose has no crest on her armor. Everyone has their weapons out, and the mouse has her bastard sword strapped to her side as she lugs the battle axe around.
Striding in behind the snake riding cat comes a small platoon of Militia beasts. Their species are hard to tell under their plate mail armor and green cloaks. They carry heavy shields and spears. Once they pierce an enemy with their spear they let the weapon go, drawing their swords for close quarters combat. Behind them strides a grey furred mouse in plate mail with a chain mail tunic underneath. Tavis Longtail of the Militia carries a bloodied paw and a half sword.
One of the volunteer forces, a plump brown furred fox hazards a glance at the Militia beasts behind him. Shaking his head Bandit thinks, "War makes strange bed fellows." The snake for its part slithers in, causing friend and foe around it to flee in terror. Basil chomps down on a poor rat, shaking him like a rag doll before tossing him up and over the battlements. The rat's shrill scream says that he was not quite dead before hit the ground outside. "Strange bedfellows indeed..." The fox breaks away from the main group, finding combat where it is needed.
Scioto also here is Scioto as he is currently fighting with a red furred fox with one eye.
Emyuil spots his sister. The Half-Rat, in the midst of disemboweling an unlucky ferret, glances up and bellows, "DoraRose!" He laughs. "Nightsong goes to war again!" He begins wading through the carnage, wreaking havoc amongst enemy forces as he battles his way to his sister.
A loud yell can be heard, getting closer and louder. Suddenly, a squirrel comes running in, brandishing a...frying pan? Yes. A frying pan. The Friar looks fierce, actually, and it especially shows when he clocks a rat from behind with his pan, the rodent's eyes rolling back into his head and falling down, thoroughly clobbered.
Anomen is still leading his squirrels into the fighting, a couple are archers and carefully fire off arrows into some ferrets working for Marek.
Lorimis steps down onto the ground as the Long Patrol get him clear of the breezeway and the rats in the door to the great hall firing arrows have to duck out of the way as several more hares open fire with slings. The Abbot adjusts his robes and calmly looks around the carnage engulfing his abbey. He sighs and starts to walk across the lawn surrounded by Long Patrol hares and the nervous looking order beasts. "We should set up a field hospital, and see to some of these injured beasts." the abbot says quietly though the Long Patrol Captain leading his escort just shakes his head and tries to guide the abbot toward the hole in the south wall.
Flicktail assumes that Lormis either doesn't seem him, or that his presence would be disruptive to the long patrol, the white fox parries a blow form a Stoat and uses his body to try to knock the stoat into the path of the oncoming Snake calling out "Mr. Snake! Dinner!" As he uses his sword to strike at another vermin beast not from Ferravale calling out to Lacota "Friar they got in your KITCHEN!”
"Hold thae door!" A squirrel cries, and, leaping up the stairs, he slashes with his blade at any foe that leaves (Or comes near) Great Hall. With him are four others, all armored well. John brings his sword down on a rat's head, cleaving the vermin's helm and head in two. He chances a glance at the hares' camp, were he had sent the rest of the Redwallers. Another beast falls, John's blade sliding out.
Nightbreath retracts his blade-rope before sending it out again, lopping the head off an unpleasant-looking weasel, then retracts it and coils it around his waist and drawing his sword to engage in some close combat, sparks flying as he parries two blows and deals a single brutal chop to end his opponent's life. Emyuil meanwhile forges closer to his sister.
Blisa slides off the reptile's back, disappearing into the crowd of enemies. Screeches and curses can be heard as she stabs legs and feet, but the vocalization are quickly stopped by Ferdinand and the other guards. The cat had spotted her father, and she starts screaming like a war chant, "DAD! DADDY! DADDY! MY DADDY! LET ME GET TO MY FATHER!" The guards surround her, but they let her fight. Ferdinand's sabre makes swaths of death as he expertly cuts down those in his way.
DoraRose swings with her battle axe, Nightsong, chopping off an unfortunate rat's head as he screams, "EMYUIL!" An elderly mouse slips between various Abbey beasts and joins the Abbot. "Please, the wounded. I am a healer, I have done field surgery countless times, you must let me do my craft!"
Scioto is fighting the same fox and is doing fairly well, but is getting tried as he pants a little; he finally over powers the fox and hears Blisa as a large monitor knocks him down.
Inside the Abbey itself a pine marten walks up and down the ranks of vermin waiting to join the fight outside. A very plump grey furred weasel stands there among them, shaking in his boots. "Beasts! You're time has come! It's time to prove ourselves!" Shouts Wick the marten. "It's time to prove ourselves to Marek! To your families! To your fellow beasts! While most of you will die in a blaze of glory we shall hold the line! To me my beasts! To victory!" The vermin yell out and charge from the doors of the abbey. Wick is almost immediately crushed by Basilisk's scaley tail. The small horde of valiant vermin panic and try to flee as the snake gobbles them down like popcorn. Fargo peers out from the door and makes a panicked gasp. Dropping his spear he turns tail and runs for the cellar...
Meanwhile outside The militia beasts have quickly spread appart as they are drawn into a melee. Bandit and Tavis find themselves together in the same group, swinging his blade with both paws Tavis has enough power behind his blows to down beasts even with armor. Behind him Bandit dispatches an enemy stoat with a quick flurry of slashes. As he falls Tavis turns on his heal and stabs at Bandits belly. Deflecting the sword in time with his own the fox holds up his paws defensively, "Whoa! Whoa! Same team! SAME TEAM!" Tavis looks sheepish as he rubs the back of his neck, "Oh! Uh, sorry, force of habit." The mouse casts a glance at the snake as it chomps down on the poor stoat Flick fed it. Basil's municipal laughter echoes across the abbey walls even over the sounds of battle.
Nightbreath disappears into the crowd, his hooded form lost amongst those of countless other beasts.
Lacota' continues to run through, bashing beasts over the head with his pan right and left. He looks dangerously angry at the moment, actually.
John, cursing, turns to deal with a ferret that slipped by him. One of his beasts swing a ball attached to a chain at the beast, and, with a sickening crunch, the ferret is no more. Looking away from the grisly sight, with the ball-and-chain wielding squirrel nodding to him, John kills another of Marek's beasts with a quick thrust. A vixen near the squirrel fires into a group of the horde with her bow, grinning as it causes a beast to scream.
Anomen and his squirrels fight, as the squirrel chieftain tries to get close to where Treesong is to check on her.
Lorimis nods his head to the Mouse who has joined him and then prods the Captain, "I am not leaving my Abbey, now come we must tend to the wounded." He nods to the healer and soon enough the beasts of the order start to get to work. The captain does get them to move into the secured orchard and they begin setting up a field hospital where anyone is treated who is brought to them.
Flicktail continues to fight, giving a "thumbs up" and a smile to Basil... the sword he has is heavier and he uses the pommel to punch a monitor in the snout, turning he pulls a dagger and plunges it into another lizards innards, then moves to aid another abbey beast in distress .
Scioto fights the monitor; he is already worn out from the red fox and a couple rats, and now this. He has wounded the monitor fairly well and that’s when the monitor slams his tail into his back and the cat is knocked out cold, this isn’t good as the monitor looks ready to finish him off.
Blisa helps cut down some beasts as she makes her way over to her father. Roaring, she goes to leap onto the monitor, aiming to slice his throat. Ferdinand stabs at the lizard's back, his strange golden eyes hard as he roars. The rest of the bodyguards fight of assailants that come near, trusting in the ferret's skill. The monitor screams as the sabre blade pierces his back, but that's the only sound he makes, for his throat is now cut. Blisa wipes a tear away and stands, ordering half of the guards to take her father to safety and the rest to follow her. They charge into another crowd of opponents, roaring.
DoraRose avoids the blades of various enemies, making her way to Tavis's side. "Use your brain, not your heart, as my father always used to say," She murmurs, then she roars and attacks a group of nearby enemies. Her brother makes it over to her side, swallowing tears, and they fight side by side.
Angela Quietfeet glances at her grandchildren, then nods and starts putting up the field hospital, praying to whatever gods she believes in that her loved ones don't get hurt. The first patients are brought over and she immediately starts helping them.
Anomen swings his blade at a rat beheading it and looks, 1o warriors of the Galtrybe left, and him as he fights horde beasts.
Half way up the stairs to the battlements Tavis manages to find a moment to watch a group of four Militia beasts storm the abbey great hall, pushing their way through John's beast's. The mouse smiles. They have their orders, so does he. Pushing his way up ramp parts the mouse pauses at a fallen archer. Sheathing his blade Tavis picks up the bow and a few arrows in his free paw. Finding a calm, at least calmer place He spies out the Chieftain of Ferrevale Scioto. He smiles as he pulls back the arrow. A dishonorable way to take out an enemy, but Luco's orders were clear. The leader and his family were NOT to survive this battle. And in the chaos of a war, this will be almost too easy. He lets the arrow fly!
The mouse curses as the weasel tries to sneak up on the felines with his saber, in the end proving to be their savior as the weasel takes the arrow for them and slumps over dead.
Meanwhile In the cellars Fargo the terrified weasel is met by the equally terrified looking Cheshire and Wilks, among others who have chosen to hide here in the cellars while the battle rages on. Cheshire nearly hits Fargo with a hatchet until he recognizes him. Before anyone can speak the four militia beasts appear in the cellar, they pass a glance at the half dozen beasts here. "What should we do Sir?" The leader of the group shrugs, "You know our orders...break open the wine barrels and set them ablaze. Redwall will be cleansed of its vermin population, even if we have to destroy it! And no fat bellied weasel or crazy cat are going to get in our way..." Cheshire twitches an eye, his paw tightens around his hatchet, "You did /NOT/ just call me crazy..."
Flicktail fights with a evil fox nearby.
Lacota' growls, beating up beasts with his pan, heading straight to cleanse his kitchen. There will be Hell to pay for trashing it.
Lorimis keeps an eye on the field hospital, helping where he can whilst also glancing out toward the Abbey and the battle. The majority of Marek's forces have started to surrender. Throwing down their weapons and well some of them are being taken prisoner and some are just being cut down in the heat of battle. Lorimis frowns at that and grabs the ear of the Captain manning his bodyguard and whispers in his ear then the hare cups his muzzle and shouts, his bellow echoing across the battlefield. "The Abbot of Redwall says Surrender! Any beast who surrenders is to be taken prisoner! Any warrior who kills a beast who has surrendered shall be attained a Murderer in the eyes of the Order. Surrender forces of Marek!"
John brings his sword up to parry a cutlass belonging to a fox, then, swinging it in an arch, he beheads the vulpine. Hearing something inside, he turns. A group of the foe beasts had rallied together, and were charging the five holding the doorway. The squirrel grunts as a spear, hitting his gut, knocks him down the stairs. Landing heavily in the dirt, he tries to get up, and fails, the mail hauberk weighing him down.
Anomen heads to where the field hospital is as Treesong is there. Flicktail is fighting rats close by.
DoraRose is just aiming to slice off a stoats head when the Abbot's decree is shouted out and the stoat surrenders. Yelping, she uses her already made momentum to throw the axe. Nightsong goes sailing through the air, missing about 6 beasts, and imbeds itself in a tree. Wincing, the mouse grabs the stoat by the scruff of his neck and shoves him towards the Abbot. "I don't take prisoners. Go thank the one who just saved your hide." As the stoats stumbles off, the warrior peers up at Tavis and frowns, then runs up the stairs, after having her brother retrieve her axe, which will take a while.
Blisa 's screams pierce the remaining battle noises as Ferdinand is hit. Yelling in pain, the brave ferret falls with an axe wound in his thigh. The cat is crying and screaming and shuddering violently. The rest of the bodyguards fight off the attacker as the feline falls to her faithful friends side. Angela hears the screams and points to the duo. "Get that kitten and her friend in 'ere!"
Then, without warning a militia lancer dashes out of the kitchens, tripping over John. Falling flat on his face he tries to scurry away with a terrified look spread across his face. The door bursts open again to admit one black and white furred cat. Cheshire's axe waves across the air madly as he yells, "WHO IS CRAZY NOW! MWHAHAAAHAHAHAAHaHAHahahhahaAhAH!" and leaps onto the poor militia beast giving him a proper mauling that is best left undescribed. Both Fargo the weasel and Wilks the fox poke their heads around the door way watching with horrified expressions as Cheshire finishes off the beast. Both decide to quietly close the door and lock themselves inside.
Outside on the ramparts Bandit the fox is currently engaged in a life or death duel with a fox who can match his own sword fighting skills. He calls out to Dora as she goes by for help. At the top of the stairs Tavis is aiming down the sight for his bow. He hasn't noticed the warrior mouse coming up the stairs quite yet. "Just a little more to the left..."
Anomen finishes off a couple rats and looks around 9 out of 10 squirrels left as he sighs.
Flicktail stabs a couple nearby rats and swings a sword he has at a bad ferret that refuses to give up, the ferret dies soon.
Lacota' is busy braining beasts with his pan, yelling at the top of his lungs, "FOR MY KITCHEN!!!" However... He then hears the Abbot, and instantly, his momentum is gone. His tail droops, and he looks like he's... crying? "Awwe, Come on. I wanted to knock some sense into those brainless vermin that probably destroyed *my* Kitchen." He actually pouts, and throws the pan, accidentally braining another fox.
Lorimis turns to regard the surrendered beasts being brought in and shakes his head, detailing the Long Patrol to tie them up. He then watches Lactoa hurl his pan and stares. "Friar Lacota... if they refuse to surrender you can still hit them..." He then turns his attention to Angela and stares, "Why is a child this young being allowed to fight! You beasts have no sense at all... Angela do what you can for her I will take over the triage." He moves off to start getting involved, disgusted with the battle in general but at least the Long Patrol are doing their part now, disarming and capturing those who will surrender whilst those pockets who refuse to surrender are left to Ferravale.
John, starting to pick himself up, grunts as the militia beast trips over him. As he tries to get up again, the insane cat knocks him back down in the dirt. The squirrel gives up tying and crawls over to a tree, were he pulls himself up. The vixen grunts as she is hit in the head with a pan, and the rest of John's force look at the friar's friendly-fire. John, meanwhile, had started running for a group of those who had continued fighting.
Angela makes her way over to the cat, noting that she is actually just barely about 6 seasons old. The guards part for the healer, who kneels by Ferdinand and starts to administer to him. Blisa is still sobbing as she holds his paw, trying hard to be brave for his sake. The ferret, for his credit, hardly flinches as his wound is tended to. His fellow guards shove surrendered foes towards the Long Patrol, then hurridly make him a stretcher. The warriors of Ferravale make quick work out of the group that weren't surrendering.
DoraRose goes to tackle the other mouse, roaring. She pulls back a fist and aims to punch him in the face, having seen exactly who he was aiming at. "I thought you were on our side!!"
A small group of vermin warriors are being led out of the Abbey Great Hall, one of which is Fargo. Paws held up his fearful expression belittles the relief he is feeling at being captured by Long Patrol hares and not Ferrevale troops...who would have probably killed him if they recognized him. Now to just avoid Scioto and Blisa. Glancing up at the giant snake he can just imagine how they would execute him for treason. Basil ignores the tasty looking beast and instead focus in on Dora as Tavis is knocked off his feet, dropping the bow off the edge of the battlements. Wiping a paw across his snout the mouse glares at her. "I fight for Mossflower!" With battle still flowing through his veins he begins to draw his blade.
Anomen slices at a rat, and looks around as fighting slows some looks like.
Flicktail takes down a tall stoat beast and looks around to see if any beast needs help.
Into this chaos walks Lee, or rather, he limps, his left foot bleeding. His arm is bloody, too. As he limps through the gate, he raises Martin's Sword for all to see. The otter looks entirely spent, however.
John, who is now near the base of the wall, looks up at Travis' statement. He rushes for the stairs, his sword out. The Vixen that was hit in the head with a pan is now lying on the ground, groaning. Redtail and another beast are trying to get her up, but failing. The two others, Broadbeam and a ferret, look menacingly at Fargo and his friends as they pass by.
Lacota' waves at the vixen. "Sorry!"
Most of the fighting is over, Long Patrol and Redwallers are moving amongst the injured as the field hospital swells. The pockets of fighting are now very small, a few inside the main building, and the few beasts like DoraRose and Cheshire are still fighting. The abbot starts to move away from the field hospital, Long Patrol Guards and his Champion Flicktail by his side as he moves toward Lee.
Blisa has controlled her sobs by the times Angela says that Ferdinand can be moved. The healer leads the way as they move him to the field hospital. The cat holds his paw, glancing ta Lee but not registering anything other than her friend is hurt. DoraRose, meanwhile, goes to kick the other mouse in the side, then leaps back and draws her bastard sword, standing in an at-ready position. "You two-faced worm! You would kill a child! I hope birds eat your entrails!" She swings, yelling angrily.
With armor to protect him Tavis is merely pushed back a step. His sword fully drawn he parries the blow with his own hand and a half sword. "You're a fool." He says menacingly. Swinging his blade down in a strait chop towards the mouse's shoulder, "She isn't a child, she is the daughter of a Vermin leader of a vermin encampment. You may have peace with them now, but what of the future? It's only a matter of time before they raise their own army to try and conquer Mossflower...they always do." Bandit joins john in rushing up the stairs.
Lee is oblivious to the fight up on the ramparts. In fact, he looks like he could fall down any moment. "Father Abbot... Marek... escaped. I almost 'ad 'im..." He frowns. "Anyway, I did not lose the Sword."
Lacota meanwhile goes to check on his beloved Kitchens.
John, who was close enough to hear both mouse’s words, makes it to the top just as the weapons are drawn. He rushes to the dueling beasts, his blade gleaming in the afternoon sun. As this is happening, the four armored beasts pick their fellow, and bring the vixen to the healers. The squirrel on the ramparts calls out to Travis, "Oi! Ye, mouse!" as he we brings his sword to bare.
Lorimis says, "You did as you had to Lee... thank you." He reaches out to steady his chief guard and the Long Patrol captain moves in to help support him also. "You did all you could." The abbot relieves Lee of the Sword of Martin and holds it up.... "The Abbey... is ours once more old friend...." He sighs turns toward his Abbey, "Come." He holds the sword reverently and looks around the field of dead and dying and sighs, "The price.. is still not fully paid."
Anomen looks around as he goes to the infirm area, his squirrels, 9 still finish off some vermin who try and run.
Blisa , Ferdinand and the rest of the guards are settled in at the field hospital, and Angela moves on to the next patient. DoraRose bares her teeth and pounces forward, in her anger swinging and hacking violently. Her eye have a slight red tinge to them: Bloodwrath. If John knows anything about berserkers, he might think twice about joining this fight... "I am not a fool! I know these cats! They are honest and brave and true! They hate slavers and tyrants alike! They love and stick by their friends! They do not kill and maim for fun! They do not kill whole groups of creatures! They are my friends, and I will DIE before I let YOU HURT THEM!!!!" Her eyes turn even more red as she slices at her opponent's face.
The price indeed has not been fully paid, at least not on the ramparts. Bandit, the heavy and slower beast takes a moment to reach the fight with Travis. The militia beast is certainly having a hard time fighting the two woodlanders at one time. He raises his arm to block the squirrels attack, catching the blade closer to the hilt. It hurts like heck but his gauntlet protected arm is saved from being lopped off. As he struggles to fight the two beasts, his swings become more violent, more fierce, he begins to be overcome with his own anger as well. The fox pauses off to the side, deciding it best to let these three beasts duke it out as their blades leave sparks showering through the air. As he fights Tavis is slowly being pushed towards the edge of the rampart facing the abbey grounds.
Lee nods to the Abbot. "Yes Father." He allows the Long Patrol hare steady him. He does not say so, but his foot is in immense pain, and he grimaces at every step, but he's determined to follow the Abbot. "Where are we going?"
Anomen watches the rats his tribe were fighting are now dead, he himself is injured as he limps towards where he can safely sit down.
John stumbles backwards, and almost loses his balance on the side. He rights himself, and, weary of Dorarose, he tries to catch Travis' sword with his own gauntleted left paw, while jabbing the mouse's mid-section at the same time.
Lorimis says, "To someplace where can be safe until this..." He stops and looks up at the ramparts, it is the only fighting still going on that the Abbot can see. "Oh dear... Sir John.... DoraRose Bandit what... what are you doing|!"
DoraRose doesn't even notice the cut that slices her side, in full Bloodwrath now. Roaring, she goes to shove her opponent, then slices at the back of his knee, her fighting becoming dirty. Angela, looks up and gasps. Forgetting her patients, forgetting the dead around her, she rushes forward, her only goal to be there to try and stop...the Abbot. "No, Father, I think she's in berserker mode...she has the Bloodwrath! Stay away from her for now! She has a reason...I hope..."
Anomen pants as he sits down, his lower arm injured and he has a cut on his left check and some varies small cuts in places, a hare helps him to where he can get some wounded tended too and the remainder of the tribe, 8 now, finish fighting and look towards where their leader is.
The militia warrior tries to block the first sword thrust that pierces slightly into his belly. Without his chain mail tunic he would have been run through completely. With the assault from the warrior mouse however Tavis stumbles into oblivion. He screams once as he falls backward on a bad leg into the abyss, falling from a height that is surely his doom. So he is much surprised when he finds himself caught in midair and gently lowered to the ground.
Tavis blinks in surprise at Basilisk as he towers over him, tail wrapped around his waist, "You..." Tavis coughs from his injuries, "You saved...me?" The snake peers at the mouse and cracks an evil grin, "Ssssilly little moussse. Who sssaid I sssaved you?" With that the snakes tail tightens around the mouse’s legs and lifts him up into the air, bringing him down hard like flail against the ground...again, and again and again. Finally he lets the beast go on the last blow. Tavis makes a pained gasp as he rebounds up into the air, hovering for a brief moment before Basilisk hits him like a baseball bat, sending the mouse sailing up and over the walls of Redwall never to bother the abbey again.
Lee also steps forward, to protect the Abbot. "Sir, please, let me get you inside."
Anomen looks around as his wounds are tended to and sighs, he looks up at the rest of his tribe.
Lorimis stops as Angela catches his robe and Lee moves to bar his way. He stands there for a moment then shudders and turns away, "I do not think... I want that snake inside the walls for long... but give it my regards..." He looks up t the abbey as the Sparra fly down, bringing the tapestry of Martin with them, "For now let us see about fixing our home."
Lee remains beside Lorimis. "Yes, Father, allow me to assist. I insist."
John, surprise written on his face, watches as the mouse flies into oblivion. "Ah guess tha' snake can' dae some good..." The squirrel turns to the other mouse. "Dora, ye need tae calm down!" he leaps back a bit, to get out of the way.
Several rats, a weasel, three foxes, and ferret come running out of Great Hall, nearly colliding with Lorimis. A few moments later, the Friar appears, chasing the beasts and brandishing his pan and yelling, "And stay out, you filthy vermin! You wrecked my kitchen, heathens!"
DoraRose goes to grab the squirrel, then thinks better of it and turns away, running down the stairs, grabbing her axe from her brother and disappearing into the depths of the evening-shadowed Abbey grounds. Angela relaxes noticeably and runs a shaking paw over her forehead. "I'm gonna get the injured into the Infirmary and nearby dormitories. Good...good evening, Abbot..." And she heads back to the wounded. Ferdinand groans as he is carried inside, and Blisa starts crying again as her other guards take her to the gatehouse to settle in. A passing Ferravale warrior pauses long enough to tell the Abbot, "Miss Blisa's not goin' to leave without her snake guard. Just so ye know." Then wanders off.
John leaps backward again as the mouse comes near, then relaxes. The squirrel heads down the stair, approaching Lee. "Ah assume ye did it? Slew Marek?"
Lorimis pinches his nose for a moment, "Then miss Blisa can take it outside the grounds of the abbey..." He turns away and walks inside. The abbot looks tired and rather sad, the sword of Martin carried over one shoulder as he walks inside to survey the damage and see if he can find his council of elders to start getting things in order.
Lee looks up, shaking his head. He tries to help the Abbot, then when Lorimis has left, he says to John, simply, "No."
Lacota' meanwhile gasps. "Lorimis! You are a sight for sore eyes. My kitchen is trashed... But I'll have a feast soon! Good to be back home, Sir!" He continues chattering on.
John curses under his breath. "He'll come back tae bite us in thae butt, make me words." He sighs. "But at least 'tis all over, for nae..."
Lorimis asks, "Friar Lacota," he pauses to hug the squirrel, "I take it you and Elder Benar had a pleasant trip to the mountain? Welcome home.... I am most glad to see you.""
The otter sighs, then basically collapses against the door to Great Hall. "I know, mate, I know. I 'ad 'im, so close... But he got away..." His voice is rather defeated sounding.
Lacota' hugs the Abbot hard, and smiles. "Yes, we did. Glad we got back finally. I'm glad you're ok, sir."
Looking at the otter, John says, "Ah take it ye didn't have bow beasts with ye?" He shakes his head and sits down next to Lee. "Would most likely be a different story, then..."
Lorimis says, "I am well, I have been better but I am well.... thanks to all of you. I am glad you are back and Elder Benar he has his work cut out for him restoring the grounds."
Lacota' nods. "Indeed, sir. I have quite a lovely mess in my poor Kitchen, too. Those savages. Ugh, I have never seen so many dirty dishes..."
Lorimis says, "Well Lacota as soon as we have some order I'll send you some novices but I guess I should speak to the Badger Lord and Elder Benar and start originating things we have a lot of guests and prisoners."
Lacota' nods. "Of course, sir. Good night."
John stands up. "Well," he says, "Ah need tae go get some o' these wounds checked ou' before tae long." He turns as he enter the main building. "Lee! Are ye still serious abou' tea latter taeday? If sae, AH'll see ye then!"
Anomen has had his wounded tended to and quickly goes to find Treesong, his tribe beasts follow him, he counts a final 9 left now as a couple may of showed up later, he makes his way to Treesong and decides he needs rest before he explains much to any other beast on his new job as chieftain of the Gawtrbye.
