Escape Down River
Irinevok is by the bridge as his camp has moved but not close to here, no he is not a fool. He has very trained fighter beasts and archers guarding the campsite, and even has a fake one in the woods as well. He looks back and forth as with him is a couple dozen rats, a few ferrets, a vole and even a monitor lizard. And that doesn't cont a couple hidden achers in the trees wearing leaves and green tunics to hide.
"Ow Ow Ow." Comes the sound up north. Six days had gone by since his trip up north. A search taht in the end proved fruitless. All he got for as a reward for his efforts were some old notes and a wounded paw, which was bandaged rather poorly. He also got an belly ache out of it but that was more of a self inflicted injury.
The fox paused to rub his stomach which was still trying to digest his poorly cooked eel. He stuck out his tongue and took a breath before pushing on. After this week he wanted to just crash in bed and sleep for another week.
Little did the head guard of Ferreval know that his search was about to be successful. His quarry waited for him just over the bow of the bridge!
Irinevok spots the fox and grins, "Well some fun has come to us boys let us greet him and say hello the only way we know how to." He chuckles coldly and makes his way closer to the head guard as he speaks "Such a nice uniform, be sad if it wold get stained in your blood, not that you would care as your be dead I do soooooo hope"
The fox pauses on the top of the bridge. His first thought was confusion at seeing such a large mass of vermin before him. The second source of confusion was the comment to his uniform. The fox was wearing an otter hide vest with his gut hanging out over a pair of sack cloth trousers. It dawned on him that this beast knew that he was the head guard. Who would know that the fox was...
The mouse Irinevok.
It stood to reason that the mouse kept an eye on the village some how. And now he was here. Right in front of the head guard...with his posse of deadly beasts. "Ah well...bleedin heck..."
Realizing that he was hopelessly out matched, the fox tried to put on his best grin, letting his nap sack fall to the ground behind him, "I have been hoping to meet you eventually. To be honest, I thought you would be a little taller." He held up his paws, "Now let's not jump to anything hasty. After all, I wouldn't want to arrest you lot for brawling on the bridge." his laugh belittled the growing sense of fear rising in his chest.
Irinevok smirks "Arrest me? You know a cat tried that and got an arrow to the heart" He smiles a cold smile "It was fun to watch, course.." He shakes his head "He SURRIVED...not sure how but he will die soon and I will make sure as I will make him..hee heee...lose his head over the whole..stressful battle "
The rats near at the fox and a ferret looks ready to flick a dagger at the fox, as thier leader, yes a mouse, smirks.
The fox gulps. Bandit was not the type of beast to run from a fight, but only because he knew the chances of a portly vulpine fleeing on foot from expert killers were poor. Talking his way out of this looked rather hopeless as well. And fighting his way out looked worse. But if he could just wring the little monsters neck...
( I see...well then." The fox clapped his paws together. "You beasts certainly don't sound like beasts I want to mess with. So how about a trade. A...bribe if you will. to spare me from becoming a hide on a wall, or a rug, or what ever your little mind can come up with." The fox turned back towards the sack behind him and began to fish through it. "trust me...you will love this. You seem the type to like monsters..." )
Bandit then turned again and hurled the severed head of an eel towards the nearest beast, the ferret. He had been hoping to keep the thing as a trophy, but this served an even better use.
The fox's blade then came free. It was dull, from being scrounged up in the village after his last one broke from a nasty fall, but it should impale the mouse just fine thinks the fox as he charges forward with fire in his eyes and screaming like a banshie.
Irinevok makes a rat go in front of him, well the rat screams in pain as the blade enters his chest, the mouse laughs insanely. The ferret gasps as this eel head comes at him, "What the?!" He panics and slices at it madly with a dagger and falls backwards into the river, he then panics more...hmmms he can't swim it seems and he screams "Master!!! Help me , save me!" Irinevok looks at him and shrugs before he flicks his tail, now Bandit has a dozen rats chargeing towards him with daggers, what fun!
"Aw..." It's best left to imagination what sort of fowlness comes out of the fox's mouth next. Even if he manages to get to the mouse, there is no way he would be surviving this fight. He draws the blade clean out of the rat he impaled and steps back...only to turn for the side of the wall and tries to leap over!
watches this, the wall would be easy enough to jump over, well maybe, the mouse yawns as he moves back and forth"Kill him already..I want chaos and panic"
Oh, he has panic down in Bandit, that is for certain. It's not the first time the fox has taken a running leap into water to save his hide. Still, the action never get's easier. The anticipation of the fall, seeing the water rise to meet you while your body curses you for being an idiot. Realizing that the water is too shallow for this action right before you hit the river.
There is a loud splash as Bandit lands in the river. For several moments he does not resurface...
Irinevok rolls his eyes as he sees the fox hit the water and stabs a rat "You didnt KILL him" The rat dies at the mouse footpaws as he looks to the others "Get him, dead or alive and bring him to me...if he lives he can jion Marek and that kitten, they need company"
The fox continues to float down the river. He bobs up once to the surface before being dragged back down to the bottom. Little did Bandit know that he was going to be hunted even if he were concious to hear it. For the fox the world went black the moment he hit the water. His fate was now up to where ever the river swept him off too...
The rats do go to try and get the rat, about 5 rats are washed away in the raging water thanks to the recent rain storm causing it to overflow on the banks some. The mouse snorts, a ferret dives in to reach the fox.
The river however does not yield to the mouse's demands. Nor the beasts that he so graciously fed to it. The river keeps its beasts this day, letting the fox, and those that foolishly tried to come after the fox, flow further and further away from the bridge. Bandit would call this an escape if he were awake to see it, but not likely call it a successful one...
Irinevok growls and beheads a couple of his beasts in anger, this mouse is insane as he storms off and his group, those alive still , follow him carefully back to the main base they have.
