Early Evening in Great Hall
Characters: Bek and Clover
Location: Redwall Abbey - Great Hall
Bek walks in, his cloak is still on and his hood up as he walks to the fireplace to warm himself quietly.
Clover comes into into the Great Hall from outside. The gray speckled rabbit has heard tales of Redwall but this is the first time he's seen it. The young beast walks as if in a daze as he looks around the cavernous room. Since he's not looking where he's going he nearly bumps into Bek.
Bek holds out a paw to stop the beast from crashing into to him and in his deep voice speaks "Do..watch out thar..."
The rabbit looked up at the otter and takes a step back. He makes gestures with his arms to try and explain himself. The rabbit smiles up at the otter hoping that he'll understand that it was a mistake. Clover tapped the paper pinned to his tunic where he'd written his name, as a means to introduce himself.
Bek rises an eyebrow and looks at the paper and shrugs "If you..say so."
Clover nodded a bit and fished in his satchel for a minute before pulling out a slip of paper which read: Can you read? The rabbit held it up for the otter to see.
Bek glares, it was mostly hidden, "Of course I read..father taught me to read." He coughs a little and clears his throat as he goes to sit down.
Clover pointed at his 'name tag' and then himself. He points again to the paper on his chest and then at the otter to inquire what he might be called. The coughing doesn't bother him as the rabbit assumes it has to do with the weather.
The otter doesn't seem to be in a talkative mood at present so the young rabbit goes back to exploring the abbey.
