RW Abbey: Badger Mother's Room
The room you enter is rather neat and almost spartanly furnished, quite a visual contrast if you entered from the cluttered Dibbun's room adjacent. The warm red of the sandstone walls is the primary motif, broken in only a few places. There's a small leaded glass window for light, a bed (rather massive, which might give one a hint at it's occupant) with a coverlet of brightly dyed and woven cloth and a small table with a chair; this is holding a small pile of books and papers, a candle in it's holder and a couple odd Dibbun toys that ended up there somehow. The only real ornament in the room is a middle sized, carefully framed parchment: a charcoal and ink drawing of some group or family of badgers.

Oz had been in the infirm a week ago and as of yesterday got some help back to his room which luckily hadn't been taken over. The only other one who is here is one of the 3 dibbuns who seemed to not go with him before, Starlight. Not that part of him isn’t glad to be in the abbey but the why and how still brothers him.
Lorimis has been unable to come and see Oz before now, the various vermin running around his abbey have kept him away from his badger friend and longtime advisor. So... clambering in through the window with the surreptitious help of one of the Abbey otters is the Abbot... he tumbles inside and lands on the carpet with a soft thump. "Oooh... I am way too old for this."
Oz has dealed with some of the vermin himself last couple days but it seems they decided to leave him be, least so far. At the sound of the abbot he sits up from where he had been laying down, "Lorimis?"
Lorimis says, "Yes it is me Oz," He murmurs, the old mouse shuffling over to the badger, "They wouldn’t let me in so I am officially in the rose garden..." He sits down and reaches out to take one of Oz's big paws.
Oz smiles and goes to gently hug Lorimis after he touches his paw, " I was worried about you, I am glad your here." He then frowns some, "Just wish I was here under better terms...and better news."
Lorimis says, "I heard some rumors but not the full facts." He leans in against Oz, "What happened? I did not expect to see you here of all places."
Oz sighs and seems at first he isn't going to tell him anything, but then finally speaks, "This..wildcat named Hudson, he had like 20 others with him, he somehow found...." He stops and goes on," He..he has the dibbuns, Sister May, and Lee's mate Streamheart, I tried to fight him but failed to stop him, I don't know where he went. Even attempted to fight him again and he brought me back here at the gates I think trying ta talk to Marek. I was drifting in and out of conscious at the time and knew he had a sword at my throat but..and knew he..said what sword but I can’t confirm it since can’t see. I woke up in the infirm so someone must of gotten me inside the abbey"
Lorimis says, "Marek probably couldn't resist the urge to have the Badger Father of Redwall as a prisoner also.." He hugs Oz, "You did all you could and we'll get them back and chase this horde away"
Oz nods, "But, what Hudson said..and he still has it if that’s true, he said he had Martin's sword and don’t think he was just saying it either, I do remember bits and pieces before I passed out of what was said..having a new toy and how he did something Marek couldn’t do"
Lorimis says, "Hmmm then with any luck Marek will focus his attention on trying to get the Sword of Martin back and not harm the woodlanders out in Mossflower."
Oz says, "From what I heard he never leaves the abbey, but it doesn’t mean he wouldn’t have others looking for it."
Lorimis says, "Indeed... I can only hope Benar and the others return soon with help... things do not look good for us right now my old friend"
Oz frowns, "It appears that way, I just hope the dibbuns can be found and the sword gotten back and this whole thing ending soon. It worries me, it also worries me about this Zarola, I have only heard a little of what happen one day and seems she wants a round 2"
Lorimis asks, "Zarola? Who is she?" He frowns, "I have not heard much news Marek keeps me by his side when it suits him then sends me away whenever anything important is going to be said."
Oz answers, "A monitor, I may be blind but I still know what a monitor is and sounds like, even meet her briefly face to face and found out she tried to kill Starlight and would of succeeded if it wasn’t for Zork interrupting her. One reason Starlight is in here, she's hiding..but it also worries me this monitor thinks something of the fight was funny and as she put it will find great fun in another fight." He frowns.
Lorimis asks, "Another Monitor? Oh dear... and Zarok…I could really do without having to worry about that young monitor falling under the bad influence of another of his kind... oh dear... another thing to worry about and poor Starlight.."
Oz says, "I have not heard how Zarok is, I do know he, Starlight, Nick and that newt friend of Zaroks is the only dibbuns in the abbey..unless someone had a dibbun since this whole thing begun."
Lorimis says, "Ok... still I am glad Zork was able to intervene..."
Oz nods "Yes but I still rather not here of any fights. And when the time comes for the abbeys take back I will want to take the 4 dibbuns somewhere safe, or keep them in here with me." He adds after a while, "And be wise if you stayed in here also at that time."
Lorimis says, "Of course when the fighting starts I think we should all try to stay out of the way."
Oz nods "The ones who can fight of course will be fighting"
Lorimis says, "Of course but I would be no good in a battle"
Oz says, "I know, it’s why I said you should be in here where it should be safer, Mareks vermin so far has left me alone, unsure why but they have. "
Lorimis says, "It would make more sense, when I am able to I will come here when trouble starts"
Oz nods slowly, he gives him another gentle hug "I am just glad your ok, I feared the worse when I heard the abbey was indeed taken over." He seems to remember something but right now unsure just how another beast is "I do have some other news the abbey may want to know, just may be wise to keep it between order members for now"
Lorimis asks, "Oh?" He sits up and hugs his habit around him, "Any other news is always welcome, good or bad at least when I know things I can act on them as needed."
Oz nods "We..had a visitor which surprised me..something about a hawk grabbed him, trying to get him to tell Hudson where I was but I don’t think he told..." He frowns in thought, "The rat dibbun.." He mutters and shakes his head getting back to what he needed to say." Leon..."
Lorimis nods his head, leaning in closer to Oz, "What about Leon?" He murmurs quietly, safe and secure in Oz's quarters it is till prudent to be cautious
Oz nods speaking quietly “He is outside the abbey, hopefully still safe..I only spoke to him briefly before he left, he mentioned Hudson was after him but I know he wasn’t with us when Hudson found me and the dibbuns, where he is now I have no idea just..outside somewhere"
Lorimis says, "Oh that is a relief... I do not know what I would do if that horrible beast caught up to Leon... I hope he stays safe until it is safe to return."
Oz says, "Yes Hudson isn’t the nicest beast from what little time I spend with him, think he had a reason to separate me from the others also, probably told them I was dead I just hope Sister May can keep the dibbuns somewhat calm."
There is a sudden light knock at the door.
Oz frowns, great who is knocking he mutters a soft sorry as he throws a blanket over Lorimis, well he has no clue who it is, "Who is there?"
Lee says through the door, "Oy, it be me, Lee. Lemme in, please."
Oz seems relieved it's only Lee, "You can enter"
Lee pushes the door open and steps in. "'Ello Oz."
Oz nods slowly, moving a blanket just slightly before speaking, "What is it you wanted Lee, if it's to go back in the infirm trust me rather be here and sure someone else would as well." Now he has no idea where Starlight is in the room he just knows where the abbot is and leaves it up to him only if he lets it be known he is in here. "Starlight is in here "
Lee nods. "Aye, thank ye for keepin' 'er safe. I just came by ta see 'ow ye are.”
Oz nods "Your welcome, she is afraid of that Zarola beast."
Lee says, "For good reason. That monitor wants ta...harm 'er."
Oz nods "I know, I heard I don’t think she would try and come in here."
Lee sighs. "I certainly 'ope so, Oz."
Oz is quiet but does grow very serious, "If Zarola tries to force her way into here" He thinks on his next few words, but hey he is serious" I don’t care who she is after she has to get pass me first, even if it means she has to kill me to do it .It be the only way she get in here to harm anyone"
Lee nods. "I am glad."
Oz says, "So, any other news Lee, I also feel you should talk to someone else on what you been doing lately, sooner rather than later"
Lorimis stirs, waking from his nap with a jerk and looking around, "Wha...."
Oz doesn’t seem suddenly surprised, he knew Lorimis was there all along.." Now is good, right?"
Lorimis says, "Hmm uhm what... Oz what is it?""
Oz feels around beside him to find Lorimis glasses, if they fell off and if they did hand them to him, either way he speaks, "Someone else came to check on me who I suggested needs to serious speak with you on other important matters." Even if Oz can’t see, he has heard about Lee's..Interesting choice of armor, heck he was told by Lee himself.
Lee nods a bit. "Oy, yes...that... Knew was gonna need ta discuss it at some point..."
Lorimis puts his glasses on and stares at Lee then sits up, "What the hell are you wearing!" He all but shouts, scrambling to his feet and clinging to Oz, eyes wide and full of shock, "What.... are you doing... in that outfit!"
Oz makes sure Lorimis doesn't fall, he will let Lee explain what’s going on.
Lee sighs. He expected that kind of reaction. "It's not wot it seems, Father."
Lorimis says, "You... had.. best explain yourself then Lee! Or so help me I'll throw you out myself""
Oz listens mainly, he heard part of this from Lee already but he is still on alert, and hopes no one hears talking...luckily it’s the time of day no one is even close to this area of the abbey.
Lee frowns. "I'm... It's not easy, Father. I managed ta convince Marek that I be loyal... He thinks I turned so I could save me fam'ly from Hudson..."
Lorimis says, "I... I see.." He sits down on Oz's bed and frowns, "I do not like it Lee, you are putting yourself in too much danger but... I understand. I hope you can save them."
Oz speaks "He has a point Lee...one wrong step and Marek finds you out"
