Characters: Aikuen, Fira, Kentar, William/Orph, Rose(spoof)

Locations:Fieldmouse Cottage, Overgrown Path, Eastern Shore

Fieldmouse Cottage: Cellar

After a long night of having burning eyes, some sleep, and not being able to scratch his nose, the tied up stoat slowly drifts awake, yawning slightly.

Aikuen is sitting on his bed, bread in paw. He has been awake quite awhile, and decided to 'borrow' and early breakfast from the kitchen. When he sees the stoat awakening, he tosses a hunk of bread at him, knowing full well he can't reach it, "Morning!" he says quietly.

Fira has sat herself out the way, with all the craziness she's a little distant. Currently she sits on a bed in one of the corners of the room, rebinding her spear. It's not broken, she just took it apart and is currently putting it back together again.

Kentar oofs a bit, the bread landing on his stomach. "Ow...what in the seasons was that?" he asks. "Darn it. Just like an otter to throw something at a tied up stoat" he nods once. "blasted fellow as he hares would say, eh wot!?" he laughs slightly, yawning.

Aikuen gets up and walks over toward Kentar. Waving a paw in front of the stoats eyes, he asks, "See anything? matey"

Fira glances over to the pair since they're moving about. She just sits about watching for now.

Kentar opens his eyes and slowly shakes his head, sighing. "Nothing. Not yet anyways" the stoat replies, eyes closing again. "Probably wont until that darn cream is washed off me eyes" he says.

Aikuen shrugs, and puts his paw down, "Aye I guess you're right..." He sets down next to him, and asks, "Eyes still burn and itch... or can I remove the rope?" He looks to Fira and smiles some, before looking back to Kentar.

Kentar grins and snarls! "No 'un can keep Kentar tied up, matey! Hah! Better let me go, or yer death will be slow and painful! haha!" he gives a tug on the ropes and ends up laughing. "Haha. Always wanted to do that"

Fira briefly offers a half hearted smile back, at least trying to be polite even if her mind is elsewhere...and lets face it there's a lot of places it could be with the amount that's happened lately. She looks back down to her spear again, just finishing fixing it...and considering taking it apart again, keeps her busy.

Orph is sleeping.

Fira is still on her bed in the corner, stretched out and resting against the wall, rolling her spear between her paws and watching the little flint spear head she's reattached for the second time.

Aikuen had taken Kentar up stairs so Rose could wash the salve out of the stoat's eyes. Soon Aikuen lead him back down the stairs and left him to rest on his bed again, unrestrained. Will had only just woken up when the otter when back up stairs to talk with the old mouse about what had been going on.

Orph rubs his eyes and looks around the room. He notes that Kentar is sleeping again and walks over to see what Fira's doing, "You still fiddling with that?"

Fira looks up when she sees the rat coming, pausing in her playing with the spear. She's watched the others come and go but not moved a whole lot. She shrugs a shoulder "It's something to do."

Orph nods. "We'll probably leave after Kentar's better ... they kill everyone ..."

Fira slowly looks back down to the spear again...and once more starts to roll it in her paws again "Right" troubled by the whole thing, she's not herself.

Orph says, "We /could/ just leave when he's better, doubt he or Pa would like that any." The rat goes back to sitting on his bed board and disappointed with how the trip had gone.

Kentar has been sleeping for the last little while. Until now. He yawns quietly and slowly sits up, eyes still closed, rubbing some sleep from them before stretching and scratching his ear, not saying anything at the moment.

Fira sighs faintly and finally lowers her spear. She thinks for a moment, how best to put it, specially as she can just see Kentar stirring "I'm...not a fighting beast. I can't do this stuff."

Orph looks over at Fira, "There aren't many choices and we can't stay down here forever."

Kentar yawns and slowly opens his eyes, blurred still. "Meh.." he mutters before joining in their conversation. "You don't need to kill anything. That is Aikuen's and my job" he nods slowly. "Either kill, or let others get hurt. Don't think the second option is good" he says before laying back. "So. Did I miss anything?" he chuckles a bit.

Orph says, "Not really. Pa's still upstairs talking to Rose."

Fira rolls one shoulder uncomfortably "I just want to leave, don't want to kill everyone even if they are creepy..." she glances over to Kentar again "See anything yet?"

Kentar looks in Fira's direction. Not at her, but in her general direction. "No. Not yet. Just blurs" he says. "Look. I don't want to kill anyone here either, but if anyone else shows up, they are put in danger. Can't leave anyone..." he smiles a bit. "..Except Rose...alive" he then looks in Will's direction. "I have to admit, I was wrong about her" he nods.

Orph nods in agreement that Kentar was wrong about Rose. He says,"You remember all the bells we heard last night? What if the rabbits all kill themselves or Bloodthorn does it, maybe we can let them do that and then leave."

Fira is still uncomfortable and looks a little confused as she watches Will, slowly shaking her head "Kill themselves?...What's wrong with these beasts?"

Orph shrugs, "Maybe there're crazy or got poisoned or something." It make some since with the apothecary and all - kind of.

Kentar nods and shrugs. "No idea" he says. "They're insane, probably do anything" he shrugs before thinking. "Hope my eyes clear up soon" he closes them.

Fira leans back against the wall and rubs her eyes before looking at the ceiling for a moment...she looks back down again after a second "Alright, I don't care what happens to this place. Murder everyone and burn it to the ground if you want. I just want to get out of here as soon as possible and never see the place again."

Kentar chuckles a bit and hrms. "You should be happy Fira. You actually have a choice to never see this place again. I may just never see again in general"

Orph throws another blanket at the stoat, "Yurr supposed to be resting not talking."

Kentar erps a bit and laughs, taking the blanket and covering himself up with it. "I'm resting...Just talking while I rest" he chuckles.

Fira shakes her head again "You're seeing blurs right? So that's better than nothing. You'll get better...or you'll just have to get used to it."

Orph says, "You'll be fine. We'll get ya some spectacles if we have too."

Kentar chuckles and nods. "That would work, I'm sure." He smiles, yawning a bit. "Ah, well. At least its better then it was."

Fira once more raises her spear up to start looking at the spear head again, she's going to start fiddling with it again at this rate "Just give it time to get back to normal."

Orph asks, "Anyone else what to go up an see find out why Pa's not back yet?"

Kentar yawns and slowly sits up. "I can go iffen ye want" he nods.

Orph asks, "Think you can see well enough?"

Anything for an excuse to move. Fira finally starts to get up "You're mostly blind, rest, I'll go."

Kentar opens his eyes, squinting some. "I think I can...I can tell walls from beasts for the moment. I think the moving splotches are beasts, and the big black things are the walls" he then frowns and lays back. "Okay then. An excuse to go see the one you have a crush on" he grins, closing his eyes.

Orph blinks a few times, he missed something didn't he ... oh well. The rat climbs the stairs up to the entryway of the cottage.

Fira pauses to stare at Kentar, a brow slowly raising. She glances a slightly confused look down to Will but assuming he doesn't look anymore clued in then it's back to Kentar "What?"

Kentar grins. "I'll tell you if you swear not to tell Aikuen" he grins. "but if you think of telling him, I wont tell you"

Seeing that Fira didn't follow him up, Will comes back down the stairs and sits down to wait for her.

Fira is still confused and it does distract her a little, she'll follow Will in a second, right now though her attention's on Kentar "Ok...Fine. What's going on?"

Kentar grins but keeps his eyes closed. "Well. Aikuen sort of likes you." The stoat says quietlyish. "Or so we talked about there the other day."

Fira looks surprised...just stares. Looks away a moment later, thinks...nope, brain has stalled, back to staring.

Fira looks little uncomfortable, glancing round to the door, make sure Aikuen doesn't suddenly appear up behind her, glance also goes to Will on the stairs. Even move uncomfortable, can't look at the rat, back to Kentar "I don't know...I mean I've never really thought about it so far..."

Kentar thinks and laughs, unable to see the uncomfortable look. "Ah. Well. You don't need to like him, but I'm sure it would make him happy" he chuckles and yawns a bit.

Kentar laughs. "Don't tell him though. He'd kill me...this is Aikuen, so its probably true"

"Wha...but..." odd deformed squeak...Fira closes her eyes and holds up a paw to stop Kentar for a moment, whether or not he can see it or not. She just gives herself a moment before opening her eyes again. Ok, Aikuen apparently likes her...she really wishes she knew what to think right now...goes for the first question she can think of "/Why?/"

Kentar shrugs. "I have no idea" he laughs. "But he likes you" The stoat chuckles. "Would like to say the same, but uh...that would be a bit of a lie...No offense."

Fira raises a brow "Gee, that's great, my pride thanks you for your honesty" she can do sarcasm!

Kentar chuckles and nods. "Oh, your more then welcome mah'dear" he smiles, nodding. "So...Do you like 'em back?" he grins.

Fira moves back to flop back down and sits on the edge of her bed again. Such a long week with so much stuff. Looks like she's had to pause for thought again.

Kentar nods slowly and yawns, letting his head sit back. "Wonder if my sight has gotten any better" he mutters to himself.

Orph is board and wanders over to sit on his bed again. Yet another blanket is thrown at the stoat near the end of the talk in an effort to shut him up.

Kentar Oofs and laughs, "Stop throwing blankets at me for crying out loud, I'm blind, not on death's bed."

Orph says, "Stop botherin Fira an go t sleep like yurr supposed to already."

Fira glances up at the sight of flying blankets. Amuses her slightly, enough to attempt a tiny smirk anyway.

Kentar laughs and smirks. "Don't worry. I've been sleeping all day, I'm not tired"

There is a bunch of loud noises, coming from upstairs. Several screams, then silence. A short while later, Aikuen comes hurriedly down the stairs, bearing an unconscience Rose. The otter, Is splattered in blood, has large fresh cuts on his body(mostly on his legs and arms), and they are openly bleeding. Rose on the other hand, is in much worse shape, and deep long cuts all over her, and what looks like a broken arm. She is also covered in blood, but most of it come from her self. She's breathing slowly. He quickly places her on a bed, and says in between breathes, "Damn... Fox... Is... Dead..." He takes the medical kit that rose had, and quickly begins to sew her up. He says gritting, "Help... me..."

Orph sighs and as though reciting says, "Then lay there perfectly still with your eyes closed til you can see again an stop talking." As he's speaking turns his head, following his ears, toward the sounds and then at Aikuen as the scene unfolds before him. "Wh- How?"

Kentar opens his eyes and squints, sort of seeing Aikuen and Rose. "What happened?" he throws the blankets aside and jumps up.

Fira of course doesn't hear the loud noises or the screams but she does see Aik and Rose come in. Her eyes widen slightly and she quickly gets up again to go look at Rose, try and remember all that basic healing and help Aik with the patching up.

Orph feels a little sick seeing Rose and Aikuen like this but he focuses and going over to Kentar puts a paw on the stoat's arm, "Pa is hurt bad and he brought Rose down here and she's hurt bad too. The fox is dead and Fira's fixing Rose and Pa up," he explains to Kentar.

Kentar nods slowly and squints some more. "Who is hurt more, Rose or Aikuen?" he asks. "And where...I have some healing training. Not much but some."

Aikuen Hurriedly suture the wounds, the big ones first on her chest. He grunts as he tears the thread with his fangs, then moves on to the next one. Roses breathing shortens then stops, And the otter punches her in the chest several times. She coughs up blood, and her breathing resumes to a quick pace, still seeming unconscious. The otter quickly looks to Fira, "If you have healing skills... now's the best damn time to use them..." He tosses her a thread and needle. he gives a quick diagnosis, "Bleeding too much, lungs pierced, going in and out of death, not much time..."

Orph would like to help but he wouldn't know where to start. So he just sits there, watching.

Kentar was about to make his way over but he stops and just sits down. "I'd love to help but...I can only make out figures" he says, looking around to Will, the smallest of the figures he sees.

Aikuen tosses a blanket to William, "Im beginning to lose felling in my right leg... Tie a tourniquet around above the knee. That's means tie it very tight around it... reduce blood loss." He pops of another suture, and says to Fira, "If i didn't she would die... the blood is filling her lungs, quick pressure relives it..." He goes off to another wound. Rose's breathing is beginning to slow again.

Kentar looks over and sighs. "Anything I can do to help?" he asks. "I don't like being useless when others may need me" he sighs.

Fira kind of stalls looking at Aikuen for a moment "...I don't know how to fix that" she looks back to Rose again, slightly panicking but trying to think "Would need to stop the bleeding completely...and get the blood out...Hit her again, just, let me think" she's not a professional by any means.

Kentar frowns and looks up. "Put pressure to the wound, as much as you can, try to stop the bleeding" he shouts out loudly at Fira.

Shout or not Fira can't hear, given she was already hoping for someone else to have more knowledge though, lucky glance gets Kentar's words. She frowns slightly "It's still going to be bleeding on the inside, in the lungs surely?" still, she's putting a paw to the wound anyway, can't hurt.

Aikuen punches Rose again, and more blood comes up, but her breathing is still getting slower. He says, "She is bleeding into her lungs! not out! Kentar, Find some sort of Alcohol... I have an idea. Fira take the lung wound, dig in until you fell the lung and pinch it with the skin, will reduce the bleeding some until they get back..." Yes, he knows its gross, but dammit a life is at stake.

Orph tied the blanket he'd been thrown around the otter's leg above the wound, trying to tie it as tight as he can. It's a thin blanket and wasn't too hard to work with.

Kentar blinks and ohs. "Oh...well I can't bloody well see, don't yell at me" he mutters before standing and looking around for the blurred thing that is his pack, finding it and pulling out a flask, turning and handing it to the ottery figure.

Fira does indeed think it's gross but she wasn't too happy with all the blood in general either and she tries to do as she's told with minimum amount of wincing.

Orph asks, "Now what?"

Aikuen takes the alcohol, and looks into the medical kit. Finding a small branch, he shoves it into the flask. He gives it a small shake, then looks to Fira, "I created an acid, burn the skin, and the lung together, may be uncomfortable for the rest of her life... but she can live through it... On the count of three remove you paw...1...2..."

Kentar slowly sits down and motions for Will. "Will..." he says, motioning him over, mostly trying to get him out of the way.

Orph walks back to Kentar and sits down again, "I think they're tryin t help Rose somehow."

Fira grimaces a little. That's going to be nasty. Gets past the inconvenient lack of hot pokers at least. She keeps a close eye on Aikuen, waiting and as soon as she sees three she moves her paw out the way.

Kentar goes to pat the ratling's back softly, nodding. "They are...Don't worry, she'll be fine...Aikuen's too stubborn to let her die" he says, sighing quietly, pretending to watch.

Orph says, "Maybe ... But everyone does die, sooner or later no matter what." He's quiet a while, "/You/ think she'll be ok?"

Kentar Thinks quietly for a few moments, watching them still, just seeing blurs. "Nah mate...I know she'll be okay" The stoat nods slowly.

"...3!" Aikuen pours the acidic liquid right where Fira paw is. Good thing she moved, because the smell of burnt flesh, soon fells the air, as the Skin and lung become one. Using one the blankets he wipes off the excess, then checks the wound. Seeing as it sealed, he smiles to Fira, "I think it worked!" He laughs and looks to Rose... He face changes instantly and he quickly puts a paw around her neck, like he is one paw strangling her. But he is not, he is checking for a pulse...

Fira wrinkles her nose slightly and peers at the wound "Sure hope so..." he glances to the paw movement and can tell what he's doing. Quietly waiting to see if the beast is still alive.

Aikuen slowly removes his paw from the neck, and mutters out, "...damn... DAMN!" He then yells, and punches the bed. He punches, and yells a few more colorful profanities, before calming down some. He rubs his blood stained paws through his head fur, before sitting down on an opposite bed. He just looks solemn, and looks down to the floor.

Kentar hears the otter and sighs. "Is she..." the stoat asks quietly, looking up slowly.

Aikuen sighs and just nods his head.

Fira takes that as bad news and just flops down to sit right where she is. She runs a paw over her face and somewhat hides in the peace she gets just for closing her eyes...She can't help it though, after a moment she goes to check for a pulse as well. Not that she doesn't trust Aikuen, she just has to.

Kentar sighs and closes his eyes, looking down and muttering something totally not understandable for a few moments, opening his eyes again, there are tears this time.

Aikuen rubs his face for a few moments, before getting up and putting the supplies back into the kit. He needs something to do at the moment.

Kentar sighs and looks at Will's direction, opening his mouth to speak but stopping himself, just sighing again, slowly standing and wandering to the dead Rose, patting her paw gently. "Thank you" he mutters very quietly, only loud enough for probably Aikuen to hear, the stoat shaking his head slowly.

Orph has pulled his knees up to his chin and sits staring at nothing in particular with his arms wrapped around his legs.

Fira withdraws her paw from the dead beast again and simply sits there for a moment. Eye firmly shut. Blindness meets deafness and hides in nothingness. After a minute she quietly sighs and finally moves, gets up and backs away from Rose, her eyes fixing back on Aikuen "What happened?" very quiet question.

Kentar sighs and slowly, looks to Will. He slowly goes over and sits back next to him, slowly going to put his arm around the ratling. "I'm...sorry"

Aikuen places the last of the supplies into the kit, a very bloody needle and red stained thread. He looks to Fira, "bled out... Im guessing she... went... before her lungs were sealed... Nothing we could do...

Fira shakes her head "Not that. What happened before you got her back here? What happened to get you both in this state?" she's trying very hard not to think about the dead beast on the floor.

Kentar closes his eyes and just left the ratling alone, sighing. He looks up to the two, and blinks a few times. After taking a deep breath, the stoat stands and wanders over to Aikuen, pausing for a moment before trying to give the otter a great big hug.

Aikuen nods, "Oh... that..." He sits down and places the kit beside him. He takes a deep breath, then answers, "Me and Rose were talking about how this used to be an orphanage... when we heard the door opening... Rose told me to stay there, and she would go see who it was... After she left, there was a scream, and i ran to the other room... There was a red fox with a knife, stabbing Rose... I did what i had too... I pulled out my sword and tried to attack him, but he jumped on me, and i defended against him... The fox wont be hurting any other beast... unless he can without his head... Then i ran rose down here..." He puts an arm around Kentars shoulder... Hugs would just have to wait...

Fira runs a paw over her head, ack more blood everywhere. Still, slightly reassured that nothing's left to follow them back "...We really have to get out of this place as soon as possible"

Kentar frowns as the hug was put off. "Mate, you were almost killed yourself, hug me or I'll knock you senseless then hug you," he glares at the otter.

Orph takes a deep breath and lets it out before asking, "Kentar? Can you good enough yet?"

Aikuen looks to Kentar with blood red eyes, and no tears... He just glares back, and after a bit, he smiles slightly, and gives the Stoat a Large hug, "thanks matey..." He lets go and looks to Fira, "Just as soon as were ready... Ill tell the other orderbeasts what happened... they can clean it up later..." He places a blanket over Rose.

Kentar smiles a bit and hugs the otter very tightly, though careful not to hurt him. "I'm glad your alright" he sighs. "Things wouldn't be the same without you" he speaks quietly before letting go, turning back to Will. "I'm...starting to get my sight back. I can see color and shapes now rather then just big blurs of black, white, and grey"

Fira keeps her eyes fixed on Aik for a minute until she finally flicks them onto Kentar, get his sight update. "Good enough to move with," and she's eager to get going, heading for the pack and spear.

Orph nods, "Then let's get out of here."

Aikuen takes Rose's Medical kit, And says quietly "aye..."

Kentar nods slowly and grabs his pack, seeming to move around like normal again, although as he goes to get his rapier, he bumps into the wall then says he's sorry.

Fira sighs faintly as she sees Kentar hit the wall "So long as we don't meet anyone I suppose we'll be alright"

Orph grabs his pack and heads up the stairs not waiting for the others.

Fieldmous Cottage: Entry

In the middle of the floor is a pool of blood, where a beheaded fox now lies, with the knife still gripped in his paws. The head is a few feet off in the opposite direction of where his neck now is.

Kentar doesn't even see the fox. Just the shape, and it doesn't occur to him that it could be the fox.

It is or was a red fox of five and a half seasons, only a dibbun really.

Fira notices the fox but tries not to look at that, scanning the room instead, indeed looking for anything else to concentrate on.

Orph has no love of foxes, save one or two at the Abbey. He doesn't feel sorry for the fox one bit.

Aikuen points to the beheaded body, "I give you... Bloodthorn... 'Guardian' of the shrine..." He says, before looking away again.

Orph heads for the no longer boarded up front door, time to go.

Kentar Just follows quietly, not bothering to look at the 'guardian', having nothing more to do with any of this in his mind.

Fira focuses on Aikuen briefly, bit better than headless fox dibbun anyway. Looks back to Will when he moves and she quickly follows the rat out.

Aikuen is the last to leave, he looks to the fox, and shakes his head. He then follows the rest out.

Overgrown Path

Orph points down the overgrown path, "This way'll be faster."

Aikuen quickly says, "I'll be right back... I'm going to tell them about what happened... and get my pack... before we head off..." He runs off as quickly as he can with his bandaged leg toward the shrine. He returns quickly, with his pack, and a look of shock on his face. He just mumbles out, "eh... I'm ready now..."

Fira looks a little worried when Aikuen goes off but given all that's happened around the place it's not exactly unjustified. Still, she waits quietly until he gets back "All go well?"

Kentar looks over and tilts his head. "Whats wrong Aikuen?" the stoat asks.

Aikuen shakes his head, "I think the 'Guardian'... I think Rose... may have been the last on his list..." He breathes deeply, and continues, "There dead... There all dead..."

Kentar blinks. "What? Dead?" He asks, grinning ear to ear. "Good. Saves me the trouble of coming back then" he rolls his eyes.

Fira looks a little surprised as well now "...All of them? They're all dead?" she frowns at Kentar a little "Try not to look so delighted about mass murder" she shakes her head faintly "...Do we just leave it like this or bury them...or just burn the place down or something?"

Aikuen shrugs, "I don't think all of them are dead... I did not see the bodies of the mice... only the rabbits... I say we just leave... and leave this hell the way it is..."

Fira could probably come up with reasons to stay and try and be helpful but then she really doesn't want to "Right. Lets just get out of here then"

Kentar nods. "Right...Agreed" he says. "Those beasts don't deserve to be buried anywho" he mutters as he starts to walk.

Aikuen nods, and begins to follow Kentar. You can tell that he is beginning to limp on his right footpaw.

Fira notes the limp, keeping an eye on it but doesn't comment on it yet, just following the others.

Kentar looks at Aikuen and hrms. "You alright mate?" he asks, tilting his head to one side, obviously able to tell the limping now. Since weird shapes don't move up and down awkwardly

Aikuen's leg is now beginning to hurt like heck. He slows his gait, and says, "I guess i lost a little more blood then i would have liked" He laughs awkwardly as he slows to a now stop. He grunts with pain, and is forced to sit down.

Fira may not be feeling all that confident but concern forces her to step in again, moving to have a look at the leg "Just don't go dying on us to or I will hurt you" trying to be light about the situation, failing in right tone but at least she's trying "Lightheaded?"

Kentar looks down at Aikuen and stops himself, slowly kneeling next to the otter and grinning a bit. "Need me to carry you?" he asks.

Aikuen begins to untie the tourniquet, he smiles to Fira, "I guess i don't have a choice but too listen to you!" He winks, before answering her question, "No, not really... no more then usual." He looks to Kentar, "Im holding you to that!" He laugh a bit, then he unties the blanket, and grunts with pain as the blood can now fully cycle through he legs.

Fira smirks faintly back before looking to the leg wound, something nice and simple she can deal with "Hand over that needle again"

Kentar nods slowly at the otter, patting his shoulder gently and grinning. "Oh, don't worry. You carried me, I'll carry you if yah need" the stoat smiles, chuckling before laying next to the otter, closing his eyes and thinking.

Aikuen takes the medical kit and opens it. Pulling out the still bloody needle and thread he hands it too her. He smiles weakly, "Heh...This is going to hurt..." He pulls out his dagger, and places the handle in between his fangs.

"You're a big boy, I'm sure you'll cope" Fira mutters as she threads the needle and gives the wound another look...Ohhh this is gross. Pretend he's a bit of fabric and don't think about it too much "Don't move" trying to be as fast and neat as possible about it.

Kentar looks to the ottermaid. "Want me to do it?" he asks, eyes still closed.

Aikuen grits against the dagger handle as she begins to sew him up. This has happened many times before... but now it seems a hundred times more painful.

Perhaps not helped by Fira having to pause for a second just after she's started. Can't sew and read Kentar's lips easily at the same time "Offer when your vision's fully back" lets not let the vision impaired sew up beasts. She gets on with the sewing quickly after that, soon got it sewn up pretty well and after offering the needle and thread back to Aikuen she goes to tie the old blanket back over the wound again though this time not so tightly that it's going to stop blood flow to the rest of the leg.

Orph was just in earshot when they'd slowed down and had walked back to the group to sit and wait til Aikuen had been patched up again.

Kentar nods some. "Alright then" he says, slowly laying back again and thinking.

Orph says, "For what it's worth we're almost there."

Aikuen takes the needle and thread, and places it back into the kit. He slowly get up and puts weight on the leg. He Smiles to Fira, "Ahh fells right as rain!" He winks again, then takes a few step forward. He no longer limps, though he does keep some of his weight of his leg, on the other one. He looks to Will, "The sooner the better..."

Kentar slowly stands and opens his eyes, sighing, mumbling something to himself as he follows Aikuen.

Eastern Shore

Orph leads the others down the under used path through the woods and out to the sea shore.

Fira pauses to take in the view soon as they're finally out of the woods. Take a deep breath, feel that sea air and lack of crazies.

Kentar follows, his eye sight in one eye fully restored. He looks out over the sea and wows. "That sea brings back a lot of memories" he says absently before shrugging. "So what are we going to do on the shore?" he asks.

Aikuen Emerges form the grassy path. He smiles, and take a deep breath of the salty air, "Ahhh... well matey, im gonna wash the blood off me!" He slowly walks toward the sea.

The beach is white and dazzling except for where the path lets out, which is where all the flotsam of the sea gets kick up onto the sand. Passed this nasty stretch of seaweed and junk lies a sand, sand and more sand. Out in the shallows are a few large slippery rocks, one of which is made almost entirely of grey clay with a wide yellow strip running through it. There are no landmarks to be seen anywhere along the beach, which seems to stretch forever to the north and forever to the south, past the stream that gushes into the ocean nearby.

Fira glances to her paws, still blood on them too "Mm. Probably not a bad idea. Ask nicely and might even be able to catch a fish."

Orph plops down on the sand, "I don't know what we're gonna do. Sit here and be glad we're not dead yet? I don't know. What do you /want/ to do?"

Kentar laughs and shrugs. "Avoid the south would be good" he nods, slowly going into the sand a bit more, looking out at the sea.

Aikuen sets his pack down in the dry part of the sand and walks forward into the tide. He looks back and yells, "Fish eh? I could go for some fish!" He smiles some and dives into the water.

Orph says, "Yeah. And maybe the West for a while too. Traveling always gets me more enemies for some reason ... I wonder if it has anything to do with who I travel with ... what do you think?"

Typical otters have gone straight for the water. Fira dumps her bag and spear off on the shore too, a faint smirk going to Aikuen before she follows him in. Wading in a bit and then gracefully sliding under the water to swim deeper.

Kentar chuckles slightly. "I don't care what we do...I just don't want to go south...bad idea" he says before flopping on the sand next to Will.

Orph watches the otters til they go under, "Too hot to go South even if we wanted to. You're eyes getting any better?"

Aikuen comes out of the water, a good distance away from the shore. He spits out the salty water, and just treads water. He thinks to himself, 'Nothing like a swim in the summer!'

Kentar chuckles a bit. "Too dangerous too. Or at least it was" He then thinks, blinking a few times and nodding. "I have all the sight back in my right eye" he closes his left and looks around before closing his right eye and looking around with his other. "My left eye still only sees shapes"

Orph grins, "Still better than what I got. Aikuen an me went south once and then there was a desert he'd forgot about so we changed direction and went to the Western Sea for a few days and made enough beasts there not want to see us again for a while I'm sure."

Fira goes deeper herself, diving and lazily turning this way and that. Needs air eventually of course but she spots Aikuen on the surface sometime before that and up she swims, going to pop out right behind him "Boo"

Kentar chuckles. "I know the feeling fully. No one on the southeastern shores would want to see my sorry tail again. I suppose better here then the western shore" he chuckles softly before thinking.

Aikuen eeps, and turns around. He laughs and playfully splashes back at her.

Orph nods smiling, as he settles down in the sand to take a nap.

Fira cackles at Aik's surprise and raises a paw to try and protect herself from some of the splashing. A moment later she suddenly drops down below the surface, turning to go under Aik, aim a tug down on his tail and try to dunk him under that way.

Aikuen looks around, looking for the other otter, when is is suddenly pulled down under the waves. He peers at who it was, and smiles. Before she lets go, he puts on his best speed toward shore.

Fira gets the tail pretty much jerked from her paw buuut, she senses a possible race there and charges on after him anyway.

Kentar chuckles as Will goes to take a nap. "Nap well Will" he smiles before going to the waters edge and thinking quietly, sitting down just out of the water's reach.

Aikuen races toward the shore. He takes a quick glance back, and can see Fira catching up very quickly. He smiles and give a small wave, before shooting himself toward shore again, Which is now in sight.

Orph has settled down in the sand on his right side with his head on his arms, sleeping peacefully. He choose to lay this way to keep the sun from beating down on his good eye.

Fira is already going as fast as she can so while she tries to keep up with this new burst of speed she is lagging behind and she pops her head out of the water a few feet from the shore, panting for breath.

Kentar keeps his eyes upon the sea, and upon the skies, quietly thinking, taking a few deep breaths, closing his eyes, letting a few memories come back.

Aikuen can feel the sand through his paws. So he gives a quick glance back. Seeing Fira above the waves, he swims back to her. He pops up and says out of breath, "You cant...huff...win that way!" He takes a deep breath and swims under her, giving a push toward shore.

Fira rolls her eyes, smirking and pushes a foot downwards to shove him back "Relax, you go back to land, I'll find that fish" still has a little bit of speed left in her apparently as she drives back under to the side and goes off in search of dinner.

Kentar doesn't open his eyes as he takes a pawful of sand and throws it into the sea.

Aikuen is forced down, and pops up above the waves. He smiles and nods, "Alright!" He winks at her, and slowly makes his way back to shore. He shakes the water form him, and walks toward the others with pack in tow. He was about to say something when he sees Will sleeping. He smiles and opens up his pack unrolling the tent.

Kentar opens his eyes slowly and looks to Aikuen, standing slowly and going over. "I'm going to go wander the shores to see if I can find whats left of me village" he says with a hrm. "Probably will be gone the night"

Aikuen finished the lean-to, and seats underneath it. He looks to Kentar, and nods slowly, "Right mate... And please... come back alive..."

Kentar chuckles. "If my brother did what he said he'd do, rebuild it, then I should be fine...Still a Gul after all" the stoat laughs, smiling softly.

Aikuen sticks put a paw, "Well, Good luck to ye mate..."

Kentar takes the paw tightly and chuckles. "Don't worry. No hares would be capturing me this time" he nods. "I'll bring you back something nice if the village is standing" he laughs.

Aikuen nods some, and lays down next to Will. Trying to catch a few z's, before Fira returned.

Kentar smiles and takes a deep breath before heading along the beach after having changed into his old uniform, wandering around, thinking to himself, guard up quite a bit more as he vanishes.
