By The Pond

This is a large pond that is close to the fields and the orchands of Ferravale. The pond looks very well cared for and in warm months flowers of all colors grow around it. The pond is large enough to have a small fishing boat big enough for two beasts and also for a good number of beasts to swim in. In winter beasts can enjoy ice skateing. There is also a couple oak and maple trees here growing by the large pond.

Scioto stands by the pond and watches the water lap up to the shoreline.

Astra has given the chieftain his space the past few days and now walks up to him and folds her paws behind her back as she watches him, "You doing ok today Scioto?"

Scioto ears perk and he slowly turns to see Astra, he starts to smile and stops himself, "Greetings Astra, I am doing well, how are you?"

Astra smiles softly, "I am doing alright. I enjoy being back in the village after so long, I missed it and...I you as well, I really did I wouldn't lie"

Scioto nods "Nor did I say you would lie." He stands there slightly relaxed as he listens to Astra, "So, are you staying long or have you decided? There is some empty home and you may have one if you like as winter is coming soon."

Astra says, "I know as you have mentioned this Scioto and I am unsure yet. Traveling during the cold weather would not be fun, that is for sure. For now I am staying here till I decide where it's best to go"

Scioto simply nods, "I leave it up to you..Astra, but it may be wise to figure out soon as I would dislike seeing you not have a place to stay for the winter season"

Astra says, "I will let you know my final decision"

Scioto nods slowly, "Alright" He says softly, "I will..I suppose wait to see what you say then. If not the village there is maybe the abbey or..well I am unsure where else you could stay if you choose it not to be here in Ferravale"

Astra steps closer to the chieftain, she is quite a while before saying anything else, “I should know in a couple days, Like I said I did miss the village a great deal" She stops beside him. “Today is nice isn't it and the fall leaves are very pretty now"

Scioto shrugs and looks at Astra as she speaks of fall leaves and nods slowly, "Yes...pretty, more so than that."

Astra smiles as she sits down, she looks to him as she smiles "You should enjoy days like this. Do you ever just take time off and enjoy the day. A walk or even just relax by the pond or maybe even elsewhere."

Scioto shakes his head "I don't take time off too often, I run a whole village and that keeps me busy. All must be in order and checked on. Patrols done and villagers checked on"

Astra shakes her head “Sit down and take a short time off at least, it will do you some good Scioto"

Scioto sits down, but slowly and shrugs "There, I am sitting are you happy now?"

Astra smiles "Yes, I am happy"

Scioto can't help but fail at not smiling, after Astra does he can't help not to smile, "It is...good you are happy, one shouldn't be not happy in life"

Astra asks, "You are correct" She lays her head on his shoulder gently, she will move if he needs her to but she is happy to stay like this also, "Are you happy?"

Scioto doesn't make her move, he arches an eyebrow at the question, "Why are you asking me this? What sort of question is that?"

Astra says, "I was mainly curious was all, you been through a lot and I wish I had been here to help you through it, but I wasn’t and I am sorry"

Scioto nods "You are..forgiven Astra and you didn't know it's not your fault and may of been best you were not here you could of been hurt or worse"

Astra nods "I am glad" She closes her eyes as she leans against him feeling safe and relaxed "I really missed you"

Scioto looks around and takes note they are alone and wraps an arm around Astra and nods "I...umm..missed you as well. It is very nice to have you back in Ferravale and would be even nicer if you stay but that choice is yours not mine"

Astra looks surprised when he places an arm around her and smiles snuggling closer to him, she closes her eyes as she replies "I want to stay and live in the village"

Scioto watches her as she sleeps and brushes some loose head fur from her face and smiles, he yawns a little and lets his eyes droop and he falls sleep
