Back at the Bar

Dangeon, Darkmane

Location: Ruingate: The Skull and Candle

Dangeon is in the bar, as per usual. She's on a stool and... alone-ish for the moment. She's paid coin for a drink, her ears are flattened slightly, and she doesn't seem to be drawing too much attention; certainly a few looks or odd mutter, but she's keeping herself to her drink and letting the world happen around her for the moment.

Darkmane steps back inside the tavern and cracks his knuckles with a wry smile on his lips as he looks around at those still sitting with a weak glare as if daring them. Content that things seems more in his favor now he heads directly toward his greatest source of calm "Sorry about that sunshine, how are things today?"

Dangeon twitches an ear as Darkmane approaches and offers a tired smile. "I'm nowhere near drunk 'nuff, the whole city smells funny an' the rest of 'em are out somewhere. 'Part from tha', I'm alright. Better for seein' yah." A warmer smile as she waits for him to sit. "Still. I like 't in here better 'n out there. Wot've y' been up to?"

Darkmane settles down and offers the hare a content smile in return "Had to teach some vermin the obvious fact that you are not going to be considered their lunch" his lips quirking slightly "And that does sound like a curse indeed, not being drunk enough for this city, and i'd be halfway inclined to agree" his gaze surveying the tavern "while this place seems a lot like i remember it, the city does not"

"Tell me about it? I mean, how you remember it?" The hare seems a little less herself and a little more unsure today; perhaps it comes of being too sober. "You seem... almos' fond o' the version you say y' remembah, but, well, disappointed, I guess, at how 't is now..."

Darkmane chuckles softly "It just seemed more lively back then, more ordered to which i guess i have a liking for" a deep breath taken "Tho I think I mostly miss it because I used to be in the order of the sword dancers when I was here last" his gaze turning to Dangeon "And i couldn't even see the building we lived in anylonger, its gone as if it never existed"

(One eyebrow raises slightly above the other. "Order of the what? Dancers?" She smirks. "You were in a... what is tha'? A traveling troupe?" She raises her cup to her lips, still smirky, clearly with some amusing picture in her head.)

Darkmane shakes his head "No, more like an order dedicated to mastering weapons and hireing ourselves out to those in need" his lips quicking slightly "the second part might sound familiar eh?" his lips twisting into a slight grin "we did have a few special techniques tho"

"Aye. Th' second part might sound f'miliah, but... Order of the Sword Dancers? It's a... ahem... clever diguise." Smirk, sip, smirk. "Special techniques... Mhm. That does sound interestin'" She's still a bit amused.

Darkmane chuckles wryly "there is a reason why i still consider myself an enforcer ya know, its not just cause i like the title" his eyes gleaming slightly "Tho i guess i'll have to stop using it if i were to properly join your group, wouldn't be proper of me to have divided loyalties even if i'm the only one around from the order, atleast that i've seen in the last few years."

Frigg walks up the wooden staircase in the corner.

"Aw, how come? I like th' title too... Y' could repurpose it? 'sides... Our group, company, 'r wotever y'd want t' call it... Well, we don' really have a name. So. Yah're in a group, wi'out bein' in a group. So. Y're not really cheating on your dance-y sword thing. Sorry. Order." She wrinkles her nose and corrects herself, seeming quite a bit cheered up.

Darkmane grins wryly "maybe i should show you some of the style once we leave this place, i don't think i'd like to give most the vermin here any ideas on how to fight better, least not yet" his nose wrinkling slightly as he looks toward the exit "Hmm, i wonder if i'd still have been here working if i had accepted the fox lords offer all those years back"

Dangeon nods. "Well, I'd very much like t' see it... Bu'. Yah. I'd rather 'is lot stayed as they were while 'm doing my drinkin' in here, thanks..." She smirks. "An offer? Seems y've worked everywhere, Maney... 'm not going start runnin' into your exes around all these corners 'm I?"

Darkmane smirks back wryly as he murrs in a rather off-hand and slightly amused tone "douptfull, they are all dead" His head shaking slightly as he chuckles softly "And while I have gotten many offers, I have declined most of them, mainly because of the obvious fact I was already working for somebody" a hand extending to ruffle Dangeon's headfur playfully as he speaks softly "as you might remember, I got an offer back south when we were at that camp as well, turned it down since I wanted to be with you"

Dangeon leans in at that and nods under the ruffle. "Aye, I remembah. An' it's much 'ppreciated. Am glad." She then perks an ear. "Waaait... Can we backtrack there a moment; all your exes are wot?"

Darkmane smiles softly down at Dangeon "all 'one' of my exes are dead" his head cocking slightly to the side "you didn't think i'd have one in every town and village did ya?"

At the last, Dangeon tilts her head. "We-ell... Y'r not exactly a terrible catch y' know. But. Sorry. I jump'd t' conclusions an' tha' was probably really insensative... or a word like tha'... I don't use them often..." She leans in again. "Anyway. Sorry."

Darkmane grins slightly and leans in to hug dangeon affectionatly "thanks sunshine, and i'm the one who should apologize for answering in the way i did, i just couldn't help it"

"Make y' a deal, y' forgive me, I f'give yah, and we both get an'ther drink?" She places her now empy cup up on the bar with a cheeky smile.

Darkmane cocks his head and seems to seriously think about the deal "only if i can pay and if i'm permitted to buy the best and strongest drink they have for us"

"A hard bargain," grins the cuddly hare, making a show of sucking clicking her teeth, apparently considering the counter offer "But I think I c'n accept yah're terms, sah."

Darkmane grins widely "Glad that we have that settles, next I propose we just order a whole bottle and retire to a different room to continue our negotiation there, I'm sure one of the rooms upstairs is vacant"

"A business meeting? We're gettin' all fancy an' high class of a sudden. I very much approve." Dangeon's grin remains and she's already starting to rise from her stool. "Y' get the bottle, an' off we'll be."

Darkmane nods his head as he gestures the bartender over and gets him to bring them a bottle, once gotten he gets to his feet and offers Dangeon a hand "Let us be off then to discuss things in a more relaxed and private setting then"

Darkmane walks up the wooden staircase in the corner.
