Back Together Again
Characters: Aikuen, Fira, Will, Amy, Kentar
Location: Kentar's Village
Kentar's Cabin
Its a little bit in the afternoon, and the older otter is gone! But its okay, he just went to get his wifey some munchies for lunch. He just kinda wonderers the streets in his black otter disguise. Getting; A loaf here, a grilled fish there, some lettuce just for kicks, and some others that he though Fira would like. Soon he has the most diabolical device ever created. A FISH SANDWICH! Slowly hopping up the stairs, after a quick nod to the family of otters, before Aik enters the otters room. He places what looks like a wrapped cylindrical device on the end table before sitting on the bed.
Fira is still in the room and has been all day. This hiding lark is starting to drive her up the wall. She's forced herself to work on her book to take her mind off everything and she's currently curled up on the bed with the book and bits of paper here and there. She's been keeping an eye on the door, just because so as Aik appears she glances up, nose giving a little sniff "I smell fish" she does spot the cylindrical thing but first things first.
Aikuen grins and plants a small on on her, "Your nose, knows!" and he kisses her nose. He points to the brown paper cylinder, "Here. open it, Don't know if you like something like that. But it looked good when i was making it. Almost wanted to eat it myself..." he laughs, "BUT I RESISTED! JUST FOR YOU!" he chuckles at that.
Fira twitches her nose at the kiss and wipes a bit of charcoal off her paws on a bit of cloth before pulling the cylinder over to open up one end "Should hope so too. Few minutes more and I would have given up to hunt something down myself...fish in bread?" sniff sniff "Mmm grilled fish"
Aikuen smiles and nods, "Aye! Grilled fish. I saw these at the abbey once. The fish in the bread thing. A fish sandwich... object. Its delicious when i had it. Though i probably didn't make it right... Its okay. Its full of tasty things that i thought you might like. So if you don't like it together just pull it out and eat it one a time. No fur off my back. Speaking of back..." he wipes his blackened paw on his cloaks before putting an arm around Fira, "Ah, there we go..." he grins.
Fira gives it one last sniff before making a start on eating it. Could even be big enough to fill her up, something which is sometimes a problem, well, when she's free of nausea enough that she wants to eat anyway. It's questionable how many words she caught too, mentally she's all over the place most of the time. The arm gets her attention back and she blinks, moving out it's way at first before she figures it might make her less uncomfortable and so she settles against him "It's good. Bread's still a little warm too"
Aikuen is all smiles, "I'm glad you do! May have to make it more often at home, if i had the right ingredients and stuff!" he chuckles as she begins to devour the sandwich. He rubs her side a bit, "Your cute when your eating. Course you are always cute...So no surprise there!" he grins, kisses her head, before going back to rubbing her side softly. He is just gonna wait till she is finished chowing down. Best not to disturb the hungry mother-to-be, while she eats. Might lose a claw or something. But as long as Aik gets to hold her, that's just peachy!
Fira is very hungry again and even if he did try to disturb her it might not work so well short of dancing around in front of her nose...and even then she probably wouldn't stop eating while she looked at him funny. She's about half way through the thing before she slows down a bit and pauses to lick a couple of fingers. Give him a glance and realise she's probably missed everything "...Sorry. I'm paying attention I really am"
Aikuen is just watching her eat, wanting to eat the other end of his creation, so he can get to the lovely otter at the end. Mmmm, fishy otter. Then she glances at him, so he smiles back at her. Aik knows she wasn't paying attention. So he grins and says, "Oh... so you know?" Yah, that'll throw her off completely.
Fira stares at him...she has no idea! "Um...yes?" she can't think of anything she should know! Literally. Her mind's gone blank, she's got nothing.
Aikuen keeps from bursting out laughing and rolling on the floor. Mahahahah. He just grins right back at her, "Ah, so you do know the secret!... You mind telling me. I just want to hear it again..." he chuckles. That's some sort of hint. Maybe. Could be. This otter wont tell. The only clue, which is not even a clue... possibly ... is that he is rubbing her side lovingly still.
Fira doesn't catch the hint even if it is one. She's still trying to think up the solution right up until she finally just gives in and sticks her tongue out at him "Bah. So I wasn't paying attention then. I am now!...You married me already. You're stuck with me either way"
Aikuen grins, and bobs he head "Aha! I knew you weren't paying attention! SO, you know what what I'm gonna have to do... Do yah!?" he leans in, "I'm just gonna have to tell you that secret myself... cause believe me... it is so good to hear it!" He grins evilly, and leans in a little more just enough so she can still read him, "The secret is..." and he kisses her softly putting his paw on her shoulder to pull her in a bit. Hopefully she wont drop the sandwich. Or else Aik will just have to make another one, later... much later.
Fira squeaks but the sandwich does remain safely in one paw. She does kiss him back too for a minute as well before leaning back again to aim a paw at his chest "Sneak. Just making the whole thing up" She does look a little amused though.
Aikuen looks very smug as he performs a small sitting dance with his shoulders. Victory. He leans in closer and says, "I'm no sneak. And I didn't make up the whole thing... sort of ... A long time ago when i proposed... i told you the secret... you just forgot!" he chuckles, "Remember?" he grabs her paw and starts to rub it.
Fira frowns slightly in thought. Secret...secret...now's a really bad time for the smell of the fish to start distracting her again. She tries to put that back to one side again "...I'm sorry love, I think I should remember but all I can think of is the fish...I'll think better when I'm not hungry" she does look very apologetic too.
Aikuen looks sad now. Though he is all smiles on the inside. Sneaky otter! He looks to her and fake sniffs, "Aw... you don't remember... That's fine..." He nods a little bit, "You can go back to your fishy-ness... But let me tell you the secret, before you start chowing down... and start to not pay attention again..." he takes her paw and kisses it, "The secret is... You are the most beautiful beast i have ever seen... And your are the one that i wish to spend the rest of my life with... And i cant imagine myself living, without you... I love you Fira... Now and always, forever..." he grins and kisses her softly. Now she can go back to eating.
Fira's ears go back a little, she does feel bad and look very sorry, sad now too. Should not mess with a pregnant lady's emotions. Thankfully she's not to point where she's completely crazy but now she's just not hungry. Her shoulders drop a little as he reveals what it is and she gives the ceiling a glance before going to giving him a kiss back "That's not a secret" she offers over the other half of the sandwich "Here, I think I've had my fill" flopping back to a nice comfy leaning position again.
Aikuen shrugs, "I like it... And even if it isn't a secret... Its true! Every word. And i still consider something to keep... just to ourselves... well... at least as much as we can..." and then he is given the other piece of the sandwich, and he grins, "Aha! My plan Worked! I got you to release the other part of the sandwich! Now its mine! Mhahaah!" and he nibbles a bit of it before placing it back on the paper, "I dare not eat your sandwich... you can save it, and have for later..." he grins and kisses her belly, before going to flop next to her, "So... Darling... How do you feel to a little walk? Up for it? I can carry you if need be!" he chuckles and rubs her belly. Yes, he is being silly.
He's always being silly. Fira rolls her eyes "Should have known. All that for a sandwich. Nice sandwich mind you" she stick her tongue out again when her belly's fussed over but then she seems to be considering the option of going outside...Really what's to consider though? She's spent the whole day inside. She stretches a little before sitting back up again "Yeah, a walk would be good before I get the chance to memorise the walls"
Aikuen chuckles, "I'm glad you like it!" And Aik will fuss over her belly from now until... well...ever. Its warm and soft, and currently housing a mini otter. So she might as well get used to it. He watches her stretch and then goes to watch her back, with a stupid grin, for a minute before also sitting up, "Oh goody. This village is really nice considering what it once was..." he hops out of bed, "Ill show you all the places that Kentar showed me... then we can go exploring if yah want... and there is also the ocean... Just saying..." he chuckles as he takes the sandwich to tuck in his cloak, before holding out his good arm to her.
Fira doesn't notice the sandwich has been tucked away as she's putting her hat on again, she'll probably be glad for it later though. Cloak for her and she's as disguised as she gets again and moving to hook her arm round his "Lets get out of here and see a bit more of it then. Lead on"
Aikuen grins, and kisses her cheek. He doesn't put on his hood, as everybody in town knows that under the hood is a black otter named Zekeal. So he doesn't see a point anymore. And maybe he can persuade Fira to remover her hat. So he can see her beautiful face, and all its glory. Its probably safe enough. He leads her out of the room, and down the stairs. After a quick nod to the other otters before he pops out the door and onto the street. Its bustling like it normally is, "So Jero'e... Where you want to go first?"
Fira has just got more paranoid since her ring went missing. She was sure she'd lost it but she still hasn't been able to find it again. Too many things for her to worry about lately. She gives the street a glance over soon as she gets out the door but it's easier to concentrate on Aik "Anywhere. Somewhere not so busy maybe?"
Aikuen has also lost his ring. And he is freaking out also, on the inside of course. But he is pretty sure its long gone. Last time he remembered having it was at the pub. And he realized it was gone when he woke the next day. He believes somebody stole it when he was in less then spectacular state of mind. Because the bartender hasn't seen it at all. Believe the otter, he has tried looking all over for it. And like Fira, he is not going to worry over it more then need be. Though the ring did mean a lot to him. Anyways, "Lets see... lets head over to one of the side streets. Lot of little shops to look at. More mom and pop stores. Then the big bustling main street. You might find something you like!" he grins.
Fira smiles a tiny bit "Like bigger clothing I guess. I'm definitely not looking forwards to getting fat. Sure I'm never going to get to jump off trees or down the well again" little pebble on the ground seems to get the worst of it as she gives it a kick, then pretends she was looking somewhere else as it actually hits someone's legs.
Aikuen looks away also, pretending to point at some building. The mouse that was hit looks at them and tilts his head, before shrugging and going back to shop around. Aik chuckles a little bit and leads Fira down one of the more secluded streets. A few stalls dot here and there, and the occasional small store selling special items. Everyone looks friendly as some try on clothes or jewelry, or sample some of the more exotic local cuisine. When they get to a more private area Aik looks to her, "Well yes you are going to need bigger clothes, as you are going to get bigger... But your going to grow more beautiful. And for good reason. There is nothing more beautiful than you. And even more so... Since you are carrying our child..." he looks sorry at the stuff she wont be able to do again, "Well not for a few months, but once the child is born... And can still do all the things you used too!" he tries.
Fira gives the stalls a quick look over, looks like a nice place really, but she does have to keep an eye on Aikuen still, don't want to ignore him twice in one day. She sort of half smirks "Mmm. Right, someone's got to teach them how to swing out of trees, land perfectly. Definitely shouldn't be you" she's trying to be positive, or at least bury the worries again.
Aikuen stops at one of the stalls where a grizzled old weasel is behind. He is selling what look like silken clothes, of all colors and sizes. The otter sort of looks through the garments, before going to stick out his tongue at her, "Hey... that was fun, and you know it... just... A small chance of hitting the ground first... And we didn't..." he chuckles, "But yes, you teach them how to be smart, and ill teach them not to be stupid" he nods forcefully, "See if you can find something you like. These are nice..." Though he doesn't know how to shop for clothes. Haven't change the style that he is wearing in seasons.
Fira rolls her eyes and smirks a bit "I think that one may have to stay with us. Pretty sure letting your kids break their bones doesn't make you good parents" the clothes get a glance and she feels one before leaving it back where it is again "It's silk, I can't afford that...far too fancy anyway"
Aikuen shrugs a bit, "Well... if we don't do it on purpose. Its doesn't make us... per say... bad parents..." he chuckles a bit and tilts his head, "Who said you were paying? But if you think these are too fancy... lets keep going down until we find something that tickles your fancy. Anything at all!" he kisses her cheek. He was just trying to help her feel better, and to not worry so much. Having a kit, is a wondrous thing.
Fira doesn't feel too wondrous most of the time. Still, it is taking her mind off things a little and after an oddly long look at him she carries on down the stalls a little ways till she finds the cheaper end where normal beasts go to shop. Much more at home there finding something that'll probably stand up to a bit of work and quite importantly, dry out well "You're lucky, my fancies aren't expensive ones"
Aikuen smiles warmly at her as she looks at him. He cant help but smile. All the time. He follows her as they pass stall after stall, seeming to get cheaper as they go. When he gets to the stall she is at he looks at the clothes for a minute, before looking back at her to answer, "Lucky? Lucky doesn't even describe how i feel about you." he chuckles, "Pick out anything, and as much as you like... Don't even think about prices. I have no beast id rather spend my gold on..." he chuckles and pulls out what looks like brown cloth trousers. He laughs at them.
Pub
The rats had slept in again though not as late as the day before. Amy had changed into a pink dress since since she doubted the shirt and pants from yesterday would go over as well with the crowd. They had a late breakfast on their way to the pub where Amy was going to be singing at and Will had left a note on their door so Kentar would know where to find them since he hadn't shown up yet
The stoat had gone to the room and found the note. He didn't think it was that bad, so he just sighes and leaves the inn and enters the pub. He looks around and then spots Will, going over.
Amethyst is in her chair at one end of the room singing whatever the customers wish to hear. A cap sits in her lap with coins in it apparently where customers are to toss their money if they like her singing enough.
Will is hanging around the room to keep an eye on Amy so she doesn't get into any trouble. He sees the stoat coming toward him and moves off to a more private corner of the room where he can still keep watch on the singer without drawing too much attention to himself.
Kentar watches Amy for a moment before placing a few coins in the cap. He smiles some and then follows after Will. "Hey Will." he smiles some. "How are you today, hrm?" he asks
Will finds an empty table and takes a seat wishing the stoat would get it in his head that the rats are hiding same as the otters are though this one doesn't seem to have put any effort into disguising himself.
Kentar sits with the rat and smiles. "So?" he asks, chuckling. "Not well then I take it?" he tilts his head to one side.
"Actually things are going rather well so far today," Will says, keeping his eye on Amy and the pub occupants more than the stoat. "What did Garnet say when you got home late last night?" he asks.
Kentar ohs and smiles a little, nodding. "Good to hear." he smiles but then quickly frowns. "Um. Well. She wasn't happy. She uh...sort of made me sleep on the floor." he laughs a little.
Will tries hard not to smile, "Did you tell her why you were out so late?" he asks.
Kentar shakes his head. "I told her I found a friend I haven't seen in a while and we got chatting." he says. "I didn't tell her you and Amy were here. Though it would have saved me from sleeping on the floor."
Will nods, "I said you could tell her if you wanted to. Oh well. Now we need to find a good way to tell your house guests about my and Amy's being here. Without you telling everyone in th world as well."
Kentar hrms a little. "Could just...show up you know." he says with a little bit of a chuckle. "I mean. The otters that we found staying there wouldn't tell a soul, I'm sure." he smiles a little. "And Aik would love it, I think...you being here, I mean. Not how you got here."
Will blinks at the stoat, this is the first he's heard of the otter family that has been living in Kentar's old cabin. The rat continues to stare at the stoat in disbelief, "'Th otters that we found ... wouldn't tell a ...' Can you hear yourself?" he asks the stoat wondering why he's been acting so naive lately, in his opinion.
Kentar huhs. "What?" He asks before blinking. "Oh...I didn't tell you of the otters I found in my cabin, did I?" he asks. "Well. I knocked on the door to see if anyone lived there. And a poor otter opened the door. Him and his family were huddled around a fire...poor family. We've been sharing our supplies since we got there...so..." he smiles a little. Feels going doing something for the poor. Maybe its how those at the abbey feel all the time.
Will sighs, "That, was real nice of you but I don't think just showing up there would be th best thing t do. You think you could get 'Zekeal' t come by th inn, without telling him anything?" the rat asks.
Will nods, "I know. Try anyway. You can tell him a beast he once met at th Abbey wants t see him. If he won't go no matter what you say see if he can help you fix that sword I gave you. That is to be for a last resort and if you do show it to him make /sure/ no other beast is around."
Kentar blinks. "Why, Will? Its him...besides, its just a sword." he says, sitting back slowly in his seat. "I mean, he'd know just who you are if I showed the sword."
Will is getting a little annoyed with the stoat, "I know that. Just try t get him to th inn without him knowing and fix th sword if you can, alright."
The usual flow of beasts going in and out of the pub has slowed and Amy is tried so time for the next act, if there is one, to take over. She wheels her chair toward the quieter end of the pub where Will and Kentar happen to be keeping a paw on the cap full of coins so as not to spill it.
Will gets up to catch Amy as she passes by them and direct her toward their table while reliving her of the coins and cap, which he puts on his head. "Just go and do that," he says to the stoat, "We'll be at th inn in a just a little while."
Village
Kentar went back to the cabin to find the otters were gone. Not the homeless ones, they've got no where to go. So he went around for the stalls, thinking they might be here. And lo and behold...there they are. "Hey otters!" he calls out. "You two busy? I have a beast who really, really, needs to speak with you" he says to Aik, coming up next to them.
Fira is considering a response when she sees Kentar coming and puts back the dress she was looking at in favour of paying attention "Hey Kentar. Not busy really. Browsing"
Aikuen tosses the trousers back into the stall before turning to look at Kentar, "Heya Stoat." waits for Fira to fill in before tacking on, "Just doing a little shopping. Who wants to see me? And Why?" he asks.
Kentar hrms. "A friend you met at the abbey a while ago. He said he really need to speak with you. Its really important." he says. "Come on, he's at the inn." He looks to them before leaning into whisper to Aik. "Its Will. Don't actually tell him I told you..."
Fira is clueless since she doesn't see the whisper. So far she's just curious but not suspecting anything, just moving to follow the pair.
Aikuen, at first, snorts at the idea, "What? There is nobody at the abbey who /wants/ to see me... But if its important..." and then Kentar says its Will, and his mind blanks completely. He stands there dumbfounded for almost a minute, before grabbing onto Fira's paw. She is going with him no matter what. He says very calmly, "I hope there is a good reason..." and he starts off for the Inn. He is not really angry. Just quite concerned...
Kentar nods a little and whispers back. "There is." he says, leading the way out of the stalls then to the inn.
The Inn
Kentar leads the otters down the path to the inn, and then down the hall to the rats room. He knocks on the door and then waits
The rats had returned to their room shortly after leaving the pub. On arriving Amy had changed back into the shirt and pants she had worn the day before having become quite fond of them regardless of how difficult they were to get on in her condition. Will sits at the table counting out the money she'd earned from singing at the pub sorting the coins into piles by denomination for ease of counting. Both pairs of rat ear turn toward the door at Kentar's knock and Amy calls out, "Who's there?"
Kentar ahems once. "It's Kentar. And I've brought him just like you asked." he says. The stoat quickly turns to Aik. "Please don't say how I told you it was them..." he asks before waiting for the door to open. "Come on, let us in."
Fira still doesn't know what's going on and she's getting all the more confused and a little worried as Aik was looking concerned on the way over. She peers round Kentar, waiting for him to open the door but still letting Aik go first since to her knowledge it's just some friend of his.
Aikuen tilts his head as he hears Amy. Swell. Another squeeze to her paw. He looks to Kentar and eyes him with a whisper, "Then you probably should not have told me then..." he hmphs. One more squeeze, while he mulls over wether he will or not tell.
Sounds of some beast moving around can be heard through the door as can voices but their too low to hear clearly. After a long wait the door unlocks and opens just a little bit. The door can be pushed open further as needed.
Aikuen, when the door is open, slowly steps into the room. Keeping Fira in tow. He stops a little bit in, past the doorway, and eyes both Will and Amy. Each for a good long time. More questions arise. He sighs and steps in a little closer, going to sit on the bed's edge, opposite edge of Amy, leading Fira to sit next to him, or lay, which is more comfortable for her. He takes a deep breath before asking, "Are you both alright?" as it doesn't look that way. He doesn't seem angry, just concerned for them.
Fira looks confused when she sees the rats and just nudges her hat up out the way, all the better to see them and take account of injuries. She can't sit or lay right now, her mind's more concerned with other things as she actually moves over towards the pair, split off from Aik if he doesn't get dragged along with her "Will? Amy? I thought you were staying at home, what happened to you both?
Kentar frowns at the otter. "You'd have been more upset if I hadn't have told you. Don't tell them." he whispers back before the door opens. The stoat slips into the room and sits down slowly, watching them.
Will had put the coins away before opening the door, the cap they were in remains laying upside-down on the table. The rat turns in his chair to look at stoat and otters as they come into the room. Amy sits in her chair nearby with her new staff in paw. Will chews on his lip unsure how much he should tell the otters. "We probably shouldn't have but we went for a walk outside Moledeep th day after you left and on th way back home we got captured and dragged over here. ... Amy fell off th cliff an that's why her legs are all bandaged up an I broke my arm jumping off th same cliff. At th time it seemed like a good idea." He tries to look apologetic as he says this.
Aikuen is dragged off With Fira, but doesn't care much. He will not let go of her paw... Until he looks at Will. He removes his paw from hers to remove his cloak. The rum bottles get a glance, before he looks to Will and says, "Like father like Son... can you do this... And does it hurt when you do..." he wiggles his claws on his splinted arm. He wants to make sure they are fully alright before he delves into questions. Though there is not a lot. He looks to Amy, "Can you wiggle your toes without them hurting... I want to make sure... whoever the healer was... did a good job..." he sighs.
Fira sighs quietly, still concerned though they seem to be alright now, she's stil glad Aik's checking them anyway "Just bad luck ran into them, I didn't really expect you to stay in the whole time. It's not the same guys after" she gestures her head towards Aik "is it?"
Amethyst wiggles her toes and shrugs, "Still work. Can't walk for a long while but it'll be worth th trouble once I can again. Th healer broke my legs more so he could fix them better so once they're healed I'll be able t walk normally again for th first time in seasons. We escaped two days ago and so far they might still think we're dead and have moved on. They weren't th beasts in red just some hoard rejects, stupid hoard rejects. Will killed their leader."
Aikuen can see Fira head nod, and he sighs. Never even crossed his mind until now. Just add to the questions later. He is glad to see that Wills arm is healing like it should. And then Amy explains, and he smiles just a little bit. Good. One less thing to worry about. He sighs and doesn't put back on the cloak, at they are pretty private in this room. So he grasps Fira's paw again, and says, "Glad that your both okay, and healing again. And good Amy, i was wondering about that... thought it was defect or something... It'll be good to see you walking, and running around..." he tries to smile, "Glad you found us... or we found you... guess whatever comes first... Com'mere Will..." and he lets go of her paw.
Kentar just watches quietly from a chair, not really having much to say. Just has to remember not to get home late to Garnet...he doesn't want to sleep on the floor again.
Fira nods slowly and seems to relax again. They're fine, no one's coming after them, another problem solved before they got there aside from healing up. She gives Aik's paw a little squeeze when he briefly takes hers before letting him go again. There is a little smile for the rats "Something good then at least. It's good to see you two anyway, glad you ended up here and not some random village somewhere else"
Amethyst rolls her blind eyes, "A defect? If I'd been born lame I'd have been abandoned before I went blind, silly otter."
Will rises from his chair and walks over toward Aikuen as the otter asked. "We wouldn't have know we we're at Kentar's village if we hadn't heard about you from th barkeep at th pub. We went there t find out if th redcloaks were around and if th beasts we'd escaped from where looking for us or not. Amy bought th rum." The rat isn't sure if they'd seen the bottles of rum in the corner or not but best to distance himself from it before they ask questions.
Aikuen tilts his head a bit at Will, "You tried some... Well... at least it was some. Plus I'm glad you like it... I put a lot of effort into every one of my bottles... But please don't have anymore, as you know what it does..." he grips him tighter for a minute before chuckling, "Coffee? They have coffee here? But not tea..." he frowns lightly, "That's swell..." he chuckles and shakes his head. He smiles at Will before going over to Fira, who is beginning to yawn, "Mind is she dozes here for a bit?" and without an answer he leads her to the bed, and helps her to lay in the bed.
Kentar yawns a little and looks to the rat and Aikuen, then chuckles a little at Fira. "I think sleep is a great idea..." he chuckles. "I hardly got any last night..." he doesn't realize he's talking to himself.
Will smirks a little at the stoat, "I had him come over yesterday and we went out for a while and got back here late an missed supper. Amy wasn't happy to have been left here that long. He'd told her we'd be back in a little while. And we weren't. He got her a new stick though and then she hit him with it. That wasn't good. After that he wasn't feeling too well so I got him something t eat and we talked more an Amy went t bed and Kentar left cause I reminded him that Garnet would be wondering where he was. He said he slept on th floor last night. I said he could tell her where he'd been if he wanted to. She's his wife would be real bad if I'd said he couldn't tell her. ... Are you mad that we left Moledeep?" he asks at last.
Aikuen kisses Fira before sitting down on the floor, with his back to the bed. He looks to Kentar and says, "Oh, you never say that. Rookie mistake..." he laughs as he done that many times before. Fira included. He then shakes his head, "No I'm not mad... you know why..." he looks up at Will and chuckles, "I would have been the same way. We were born to wander, and staying cooped up in one place, can be enough to drive me out. And also... You took care of yourself, and Amy. When you were captured. I'm glad. Except for the jumping off the cliff... that was dumb, but your young and will heal." He then smiles warmly, "Your almost of age, and its about time you start to take responsibilities like that. So know you know first hand, that even if you are out just for a stroll... Bad things can still happened" he then sighs, "But don't let that stop you from doing things you love..." he looks back down.
Will shrugs a little at the cliff part, "We were climbing down t get away from th hoard rats and then she fell and climbed down more and I wasn't too far from th ground I thought and I needed t get down fast and see if she was ok or dead or what."
Kentar thinks for a few moments. "If it helps, Will, I'd have done the same." he smiles a little before stretching and yawning. "I'll see you guys later. I'm going home before Garnet makes me sleep on the floor again." he chuckles.
Aikuen tilts his head at Will, "I know... but still it was dumb... Just the jumping down part. And what if Amy didn't die, and you did instead... landed on your head instead... Getting away is fine, though into the woods would have been better. But I would do the same thing, just so you know... Wow, we all would... were all dumb!" he chuckles, and looks down for a bit. And he wonders why Will didn't respond so he says it again, "I'm not mad at you." he enforces. He then looks to Kentar, "Night Kentar, And i hope not!" he chuckles.
"We were camped on top of a cliff and that was nearest and we would have been caught before we'd made it to th trees let alone th woods," the rat says then blinks, "You're not mad?" he asks having not caught it the first time. "It was my idea t leave Moledeep an go off in th woods. I'm glad you're not mad but ... I shouldn't have done that. We left Racky all alone an with a note saying we'd be back by dark. With lucky he'll be asleep when we get back but he does wake up now and then, sometimes I hear him in th kitchen at night. He's a odd one but he wakes up enough t eat so not like it's hurting him too much whatever it is that makes him sleep so much."
Kentar stands up and then pokes Aik in his good shoulder. "Night Aik..." he smiles. "Oh and thanks for not telling them that I told you it was them...right...from the...start..." he pauses. "Oh crud..." he mutters before turning and promptly leaving before Will can do anything or Amy can hit him with her staff...He'll hit himself later
Aikuen shrugs a bit, "You said that the leader was killed by you, right? And for certain they were dumber then mud puddles, Right? Then after you killed him you have about... 15 or so minutes before they get reorganized again. Cause without a leader... they cant even feed themselves without an order. If they were dumber then mud puddles... Anyway. No I'm not mad. And yes, you shouldn't have done that... but i think you have learned your lesson..." shrugs a shoulder, "And we left Racky alone for extended periods before. And he always comes out alright. Built a barricade and everything the last time!" he chuckles and then is poked, "Ow... They didn't ask..." he looks to the others, "And you dumb, so you better run!" he laughs
Will gives the stoat a mean look before returning his attention to Aikuen. "Amy said that because she wishes that had happened instead of what did happen. It was late at night and I woke up to yelling and Amy wasn't where she was before and th leader came out of his tent with claw marks on his face and some new brusises too and th others were laughing and said .... uh ... he'd had them take Amy to his tent when I was sleeping. I fought him and was stupid and grabbed my sword t fight him with and he say what was wrote on it I could tell from th look on his face. He was a large rat and fat it was night and dark except near th fire and he slipped an fell off th top of th cliff and died. While his hoard kinda stared like idiots I grabbed some of our stuff and Amy and we got out of their fast as we could. We woke up after th fall sometime in th morning an patched ourselves up some and I carried Amy here and we found a healer and got this room. That was two nights ago.
Th other hoard rats could have easily seen what was written on my sword same as their leader did. I think they'd passed th redcloaks before catching me an Amy. They may not be smart but they /can/ fight."
Aikuen shrugs a little bit, "He was still dead..." he then tilts his head at the Amy part, "What do you... OH... Okay..." he nods and feels sick all of a sudden, if we got what happened correctly. Glad that the leader is dead, rotting, and bleaching in the sun. That's just plain wrong, "Will... your rambling again..." he chuckles, "I'm just glad your alright... That you both are... And I'm sorry that the sword got you in more trouble... you know you can get it reforged to say something else. Like my sheath says, 'To Control, what dwells within'... Anyways!" he stands up and plops carefully on the bed to lay next to Fira, "I got some great news!" he says in a sing song voice, before taking her paw slowly.
"Sorry. Didn't mean to," Will says before brightening,"Really? What kind of news?" he asks.
Amethyst has since dozed off in her chair which is all for the better the fewer times she hears the past week recounted the better.
Aikuen is grinning from ear to ear. He was going to keep it a secret until they returned. But there here... now... so might as well! Plus he is near to bursting to tell somebeast soon. And even if Fira didn't give the go ahead, he has to tell his son, "I think you will find this as great news... I was near to jumping off the walls when i first heard it. Though it was only a week and a half ago... Will... in the next month or so... you ... are going to have either a little sister or little brother..." he grins and chuckles, "Fira is pregnant! She is with child!"
Will stares at the otter as if he'd grown another head before snapping back to reality and whispering to himself, "I was right," as though he can't hardly believe it. He looks back up at the otter with a smile, "Th-that's /great/. When will th baby get here?" While he is thrilled about Fira having a baby he's a little nervous about Aikuen having a real dibbun of his own namely a real son.
Aikuen tilts his head for a minute, with a grin, looking at Will being dumbfounded "I was the same way... couldn't feel my legs! Fira was very concerned. Until I hugged her like there was no tomorrow..." he looks to her, "I'm so excited... though she is... less than... She is worrying about stuff... Just try not the mention it around her... if you can. I mean congratulate her... just don't point out obvious things... Right this down, its important!" he laughs, and looks back at Will, "Ummm... " he cant really say when. He cant figure out which day it was, as Fira kept it from him for so long, "Id say, about a month... month and half... Not that long away..." he grins, and goes to kiss her belly softly. Like he is going to for the next month or so.
Will's smile widens a little and he chuckles, "I can just imagine. You probably looked really silly, Pa." He looks Fira over but she doesn't look any different to him. "Thought that might be what it was but I wasn't sure. 'It's not something you talk about.'" he says parroting one of the few things he'd been told about such things. He notices Amy's fallen asleep in her chair and pokes Aik and nods toward her, "She probably shouldn't sleep there. I'm sure they're room on th bed for both of them but I don't know if it'd be worth it. For some reason she don't like Mum that much."
Aikuen nods a bit, "Well you don't usually talk about it if it was a mistake. But we sorta planed it... sorta... I mean, we both were thinking about it..." Aik then looks to Amy and shrugs, "If she is going to join in our family, she is just going to have to used to her. But maybe as time comes... they will be the best of buddies..." an odd thought, "But i have a remedy that can solve this... Since this is your room, we will leave... Its getting late anyway... You put Amy on the bed and i will wake Fira..." he goes to his cloak and pulls out... the half eaten sandwich.
Will nods, "I hope so. 'Best friends' may be a bit much to ask for. But so long as they both liked each other that'd be enough." He goes over to move Amy's chair around to the left side of the bed and lifts her out of the chair with his one good arm as though he's done this many times, which he has, and lays her down on the bed adjusting the blankets around her evenly before looking back over at the otters.
Aikuen is currently waving the sandwich over Fira's nose. Its a dirty trick, but it works. Fira sniffs the air before blinking up at the... Otter? Before she awoke he moved the sandwich away, so she doesn't know. Though it would be funny, she doesn't need to know that. He smiles warmly at her, "Wakey Wakey Beautiful!" he grins and plants a long one on her before pulling away and saying, "Come on my lovely ottery darling..." Needs more adjectives, "Its time for us to head on back... leave the rats to their ratty-ness." Fira blinks up at him and only gets half the words. She still sniffs the Air, "I smell fish again" Aik grins and hands her the sandwich with a small lick of her nose, "Right again...Lets go Fi..." he says softly. He puts on his cloak before leading her to the doorway. Fira frowns, and has gone a bit red, though the sandwich concerns her more. She takes his arm, "Night Will... Amy..." They both say.
Will waves at the otters, "Night, Pa. Night, Mum. See ya tomorrow."
Aikuen would wave, but his arm is attached to something beautiful, "Righto Will... And remember what i said!" He chuckles and heads out the door, and back to the Cabin. They get back to their room. And both get ready for sleeping. Aik is removing he makeup with a damp dishtowel. While Fira hangs her hat. They both de-cloak and de-clothe, and after a bit Aik climbs in after Fira, and they cuddle for a bit, though not as much as it hurts her more nowadays. Aik kisses her, "Mmm... Fira... and fish..." he chuckles before he nuzzles her until he falls asleep
Will doesn't bother to change out of his day clothes and only takes off his boots before crawling into bed to snuggle up to Amy. It had been a long day.
