Salamandastron: Badger Lord's Room
- -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Salamandastron *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
The chamber you step into looks as if it was clawed into the very rock of
the mountain. A high, craggy celing and bare walls give the room a
decidely spartan look, fitting of a warrior. The bed is actually a large
stone slab, heavily strew with large pillows, big enough to accommodate
the Badger Lord Bludstripe and his wife, the Lady Stormstripe. A table
sits on one side of the room, a circular oak affair surrounded by four
large chairs. On the same side is a large fireplace, over which are two
sets of wall hanging hooks, most likely for the rulers weapontry. On the
remaing side is a large window hacked from the stone, facing out over the
endless expanses of sand and sea, a portal for the Lord to watch over his
domain.

[Out]
Well since there /is/ no badgerlord, nobody's gonna midn if Rah lounges in the room. And that's what he's doing, having drug the big chair over to the large window and heaped the blankets and pillows on it and has cocooned himself inside it.. and looks quite comfortable.
It doesn't make sense that Seph knows to find him in here. Or maybe she doesn't, maybe it's just random. But find him she does, and the doe comes up to the side of the big chair, giving Rah a soft grin and reaching to brush at his shoulder with her hand. "Hey you."
Ah ha, her Rah-finding senses are most keen. Maybe that's why they're together, hm? Just so in-tune. "Have you ever come up here an' looked? S'quite a nice view." The portal shows the shore for countless miles.. literally as far as the eye can see. When she reaches in, he grasps her wrist with his paw and pulls her on in to his collection of pillows and blankets.
"Oof. Careful, or you'll go smush. I'm fat." It's what all pregnant females say, isn't it - but she's teasing, grinning at him. She's not even showing yet. The doe arranges herself with her legs drawn up alongside Rah, and leans a little sideways into him. "Too late f' sunset, though. Shame."
"Y'would have t'be a great deal fatter t'smush me," he replies with a grin, dropping his arm across her shoulders when she sits down, and then down to her side when she leans in. "Yeh, 'tis. S'nice tho'.. y'can see th' deep-blue above, almos'." He gives her arm a rub. "Would be nice t'have a thin' we come do every nigh'. We can watch th' sunsets."
"What .. like a date night?" Seph asks with a softer sort of smile, though it's hidden with her muzzle tucked in against his neck. "We c'n sneak away at supper, bring our plates up here.. 's righ' 'round sunset usually." She's churring, lacing her fingers with his. She likes that idea.
"Mm, dunno date nigh', cause it'd be every nigh'. Well, every nigh' we can. Date-hour, maybe." A date hour every night. "Migh' give us a little consistency." He grins to her.. well, what part of her he can see, his eyes tilted down to the right. "Eatin' up here wouldn't be so bad. We migh' get paddled if we get caugh', tho'."
"Who's gonna get us in trouble? You're th' boss 'round here, aincha, maj?" Seph murmurs with a peek up at the buck's face. Her snout tilts, and she touches her nose to his chin. "We c'n say 's good f' th' wee lil' unborn, or somethin'."
Aw, chintouch. He dips his nose a little to nuzzle her back, and then resumes looking toward the window. "I guess I am th' boss, sittin' in th' boss's room," he says, with a little snicker. "Isn't that what they say 'bout th' boss's chair?"
"Well there's no /badger/ boss. So until one shows up.. you three colonels 're 'bout as boss-like as it gets." Seph turns toward him more, leaning away and lacing one of her hands with Rah's own. "An' you're m' favorite of th' three. Jus' so you know. ... an' I /do/ like this chair."
Rahier mutters out a laugh. "S'a triumvirate, I guess." He gives the laced fingers a squeeze, putting the entwined hands into his lap. "Don't think we can keep th' chair."
"Wouldn' really fit in our room, anyway," Seph mutters, and snuffles tenderly against the buck's shoulder. "Hey Rah?"
"I'd never give up m'desk, it's m' favorite piece o' furniture. Maybe once th'crib is gone again." So, basically never. Rah tilts his head down. "Hm?"
"Mm." Seph gives him a dozy sort of a smile, her eyes half-shut as she pulls one of the blankets up toward her chest. She cuddles it as she leans into Rah, and squints at his face, then mumbles, "Marry me, maybe?"
The chair is large enough for them to have their legs up and crossed- it's like being a little kid in an adult's chair. So he adjusts the pillow behind his head and then quiets at her question. For a bit. "Sure."
".. 's not a suggestion this time," Seph says, her muzzle tucked down into the blanket so half her face is hidden, voice a bit muffled, while her eyes peek at him over the edge. "'m really askin'. Jus'... t' clarify." Since it was kind of spontaneous and mumbly, as far as proposals go.
"Yeah, I got that," said Rah. "You're gettin' impatient." The buck gives her a grin and a friendly little nudge. "Said sure."
"... yeah," she admits with a faint grin, lowering the blanket so it's draped over her lap. "Lil' bit. An' I figured with th' new babe an' all, maybe I could get away with bein' th' one t' ask, finally." She leans so her nose rubs against his chin, and then she sneaks a little kiss, lips to lips.
Rahier grins. "Well I ain't no traditionalist." That's for sure. So.. she can propose, who cares. "Finally?" he asks, with a grin. "I s'pose." The smooch he returns, and then he lets his eyes close, sighing out the length of the day as it slips into night.
