Ambushed! And They They Took The Chest!

--Somewhere into the far northern woods and almost the edge of the valleys of the Snowy Northlands---
Hyde was relaxing in his hut, he liked to stay in his hut, but this one he stayed in t\less often as it was not as hidden as the others were, but he didn’t care too much. A hut that once belonged to Oz and Maxtor and Oz gave it to Hyde shortly after he and Maxtor decided to stay at that Redwall place. The hut was in the north woods, maybe couple weeks trip north of Redwall. The Snowy north and Send Valley was another 4-5 weeks trip depending on where you were heading.
Outside the hut was Longfang, along with a few chosen followers of his, about 6 ferrets, and he noded as he drew his sword and smirked, “Torch the hut, it’s one way to get the badger out” His voice full of ice,” Or he can die inside, inside or outside matters not.”
The vermin nod back to the one in charge and using flint and steel they set the hut ablaze and step back weapons drawn.
Hyde starts to doze off and then blinks as he smells smoke and frowns “Well this is not good” He says in his mono-tone voice and looks over at the chest, an all iron made chest with a very strange keyhole, yes its most likely fireproof..well maybe he wasn’t sure so he decides its best to get it and get out the back door quickly.
The fire spreads quickly engulfing the whole hut with its sickening flames, all left inside is a lost as it burns more quickly. It’s then Longfang notices the badger and grins “Attack the Stripedog!” The followers obey without question and have weapons draw to attack the badger, 6 ferrets in total.
Hyde stares at the hut “Oz won’t like this, no he won’t” Ever in his mono-tone voice and he sees the vermin” Oh,, you want to fight, whatever if that’s your plan” He easily grabs one by the throat and snaps it killing him and takes the sword he had, so much for quickness of the ferret as the other 5 catch up and Hyde attacks them. He blocks and slices and manages to kill 3 more of them but the other two managed to cut into his leg fairly deep and he falls ”Ouch…not good”
Longfang snarls as he looks at 4 dead ferrets and the other two are wounded. He walks up to the badger, “And this is way my Master hates badgers, as do I.” He looks at the chest “Whats in that?”
Hyde speaks “None of your concern” He says in a mono-tone reply” Sides I don’t have the key, it’s elsewhere and not here.”
Longfang hisses, that voice is SOOOOOO annoying to him, he then smirks as he nods to the two live ferrets “We take it back to Master Bora, it must have something of value in it or it wouldn’t be made the way it is.” He looks back to Hyde, “As for you” He uses the fact the badgers leg is wounded as a distraction and his sudden movements, small quick jabs in places, at pressure points as he smirks. IT would where off in 12-24 hours but by then the badger could die.
Hyde gasps and lays on the ground, unable to move and most likely for almost a whole day. His voice is weak as he speaks, yep still mono-tone just weaker..”Your..not nice.” He then passes out from some blood loss from his leg wound and he also has varies cuts and bruises now.
The hut has burned to the ground and the chest was taken away by Longfang and the two ferrets. All seems hopeless till Hyde is found by a hare who cheeks his vitals and takes him to his den.
Hyde wakes up and looks around “Where am I?” The mono-tone voice a little stronger.
Flare answers “My den, ya came close ta past couple days wot?”
Hyde frowns “This is not good…The Frosted Arrow is back, my cousins and father could be in bad danger” He says in his ever mono-tone voice.
The hare frowns “Never heard of them before, where is your father and cousins at?”
Hyde answers in his mon-tone voice, “Redwall, though father is in Ferravale.”
Flare nods, “Anything else need ta know sir?”
Hyde nods and replies in mono-tone speech, as always” They took the chest, the chest had Zork’s sword in it, not that they can open it without a key and I don’t know who has it right now, probably father. Unless Zork dyed cause…he is like dying of this weak heart thing and is ill, then Zinnia has the key…I think.”
Flare just nods “Well how bout you rest and recover and then me and you head south and warn ya family they could be in trouble ok….sir?”
Hyde has fallen asleep, rest is most likely needed.
The hare stands and lets the badger rest as he looks out into the snowy lands south and sighs, well he always did want to explore some and now he has the chance, but is it the best idea?
Unknown to them the chest, with sword inside, is taken back to Bora and only Longfang ventures south with one other ermine, his mate Fancyfur. Longfang had a plan, and he was unsure if it would work or not, but he hoped to bring back news to Bora , or better yet..a prize or two!
