Advice for the day and A Talk

Jake walks towards the entry, cloak on and quiver of arrows on his back, longbow in paw, he even has a dirk at his side, and hmms he is heading out and mumbling to himself.

Oz follows the hare curious and watches him, he walks over calmly and steps in his path "So, out for a walk or something? “He looks at the longbow and back to the hare.

Jake glares "Excuse me, you’re in the path and Yes going out." He goes to try and step around the badger and if he is able to will proceed out the door "Hunting down that stupid bird, be back soon."

Oz sighs, he lets Jake get past and then goes to swiftly grab him by his collar and lift him up some "Umm, no..I would hate to carry another injured friend back to the abbey, or worse a dead friend, so I suggest you not owl hunt"

Jake blinks and goes to struggle and sighs as he folds his arms over his chest, "That owl attacked my friend, it NEEDS hunted down and taken care of so put me down"

Oz looks at Jake "Look I understand how you feel, but I also know one thing..rushing off with this mood is dangerous and one gets hurt a lot more easily like this, look relax or" he pauses and goes on "Or I will tie you to a chair and make you stay put and hid the longbow."

Jake just glares at Oz and hmmphs as his arms are crossed over his chest, he isn’t a very happy hare right now "And wot if it attacks someone else huh? I just need a good shot and its dead, I rarely miss a shot with my longbow"

Oz stays clam as he speaks, "Yes so I heard, but what about the rare times you miss, then what. You get its attention and didn’t you say it warned you about crossing paths again, and you also mentioned it’s already wounded."

Jake nods "Yes all the more reason to track it down, and less of a chance it would be able to do much in return"

Oz listens "Never think just cause they are hurt they are less of a threat, it’s still dangerous, still has the beck and talons, that’s where the injuries come from, it doesn’t need to fly to be a powerful foe."

Jake sighs, he relaxes some and frowns now "Fine..Wot ever, still hate to think it’s out there somewhere..Waiting to attack again"

Oz lets the hare down and watches him "Thank you for deciding to not go out, would hate to be the messenger of bad news, trust me it wouldn’t of been fun"

Jake backs up and rolls his eyes "And I could of easily won too, that’s the wonder of longbows, long range fighting is cool"

Oz raises an eyebrow and shrugs "Any weapon can umm...well any beast can be great at any weapon and call it umm..What was that, cool?"

Jake nods, "Yes but , take a sword you have to get right up to the beast, bow..no, you can be far from them and surprise them better"

Oz sighs and looks at the hare again "You still plan on going out there don’t you,..what if you get hurt or worse, do you know what tomorrow is?"

Jake hmms "A good day for the owl ta die, no that’s today" He grins and then it dawns on him and his ears droop "Oh..I..oh boy," he looks at Oz and frowns "I..almost forgot and,..oh no, the suit."

Oz shakes his head and speaks "Well not a good thing to forget, but no worries your secret is safe with me"

Jake frowns as he sits down on the grass and sighs, he looks at Oz "I still want to take care of the owl,..but then still do need to get ready for the wedding don't I?"

Oz nods "Yes you do, look forget the owl..please, least for now, I repeat I don’t want to carry your injured or dead body back to the abbey"

Jake nods "I will stay put for now, but still if I am on the wall and see it...not making any promises of staying put..I am sorry ahead of time, that thing hurt my friend and it needs to pay"

Oz shakes his head "Look maybe take the night off, might be wise your too..tense right now and you don’t need to be tense tomorrow"

Jake glares at Oz "Tense? Tense!. I am not Tense!" He takes a couple deep breaths and folds his arms over his chest and just stands there.

Oz calmly watches him and waits for him to calm down "Are we done being moody now?"

Jake hmms "Let me think on that, NO..sorry can't do and it will led to trouble all right, for the owl"

Oz shakes his head "Look can you just forget, one..two days, heck all together be best"

Jake shrugs "Can’t promise ya anything, sorry"

Oz nods "Well I need to get back to the dibbuns,..and if you go owl hunting I will drag you back to the abbey by your ears" He smirks and walks inside.

LATER

Jake walks from the entry, his cloak on, longbow at his side which he lays by the table and he sits in a chair and pouts, he seems...moody.

Lorimis hides with Benick and Luna, Flicktails dibbuns, waiting for Jake to pass so they can pounce him

Jake doesn’t see the dibbuns, he sighs and mutters to himself, he looks at the longbow and shakes his head “Tell me stay inside..."His ears droop some, too many things on his mind right now.

Lorimis leaps out with the two dibbuns to GENTLY Pounce Jake, careful not to damage his bow "ROWR!" they giggle...they actually give it away with giggles long before the actual pounce

Jake blinks, he moves the bow and frowns, he looks at them and gently gets the dibbuns off his lap, he goes to the entry and returns longbow and quiver free and sits back down, and he nods "Hi" he gets out.

The 2 Dibbuns walk up with big eyes and smiles "Unka Jake Fthe Lormist said we coudl ask ya somein”

Jake looks at the dibbuns and sighs, he tries to smile some "Well not like going somewhere so..wot is it?"

Lorimis asks, "Benick smiles "Kin I ber Yer ring barere? and Luna blinks her eyes "and kin I be yer flower beast?"

Jake frowns slightly "Ring...oh boy" he groans and looks down, yet another thing he didn’t think of, he looks at Luna "Umm ya have to ask Honeyfern on that one.." he looks at Lorimis and frowns, "Not having a fun day it seems"

Lorimis holds out a rather nice Gold ring with a pretty Diamond in it "and it already Fits Honeyferns paw.

Jake looks at the ring "Where did that..come from" He smiles some now and looks to Lorimis"Hey, sorry seem...moody just, upset...almost forgot the wedding cause..well wanted to go hunt down this owl that hurt Silver real bad..Oz sort of, .." he chuckles he won’t go into details "He talked me out of it for the most part"

Lorimis says, "I think it came from, Grateful moles who you helped save from the slavers"

Jake nods and carefully holds the ring, he smiles "Yeah..wouldn’t want to mess up the wedding day..and its tomorrow, gonna have ta talk to Maythus he mentioned helping with a..suit"

Lorimis says, "I do not think Honeyfurn would mind if these 2 got to attend your Pawfasting" the ring is solid goal and it looks like a 10ct Diamond, princess cut.

Jake chuckles "Probably not" He is in a better mood now, he looks at the dibbuns and smiles better this time, he looks back to Lorimis "I remember when I tried me best to avoid dibbuns, now I don't"

The 2 fox dibbuns run up eagerly hugging the hare’s legs he has made them VERY happy "well Jake The last 2 beasts I paw fasted I have a cottage too. So you and Honeyfern get a ring”

Jake grins and ruffles their headfur, he nods "Thanks Father abbot, still a few things to do to get ready tomorrow guess, maybe I will take the night off to rest up, Oz mentioned it, but think he had another reason I should take the night off too."

Lorimis says, "yes and maybe soon you and Honeyfern can have Leverets of your own"

Jake blinks "Umm, probably not. Besides don't know her feelings on dibbuns and I already have one now.."

Lorimis says, "oh I think she will WANT that"

Jake shrugs "Will have to wait and see"

Lorimis smiles

Jake says, "Besides wot would Kiara think of other dibbuns around, have ta think on that too""

Lorimis says, "she would be there big sister"

Jake nods "that might be fun for her, I have a younger brother..we didn’t always get along, still don't really..but still brothers"

Lorimis nods "and one day Kiara is going to want leverets of her own..she will meet a nice young Buck...”

Jake blinks at this and coughs some "yeah..well not for a long while and it would have to be someone that’s good hearted and wouldn’t hurt her in any way. But nor worried about that right now, she is only a little over 3 seasons right now"

Lorimis chuckles "yes I know' “ he pats Jakes shoulder then hugs him "Thank you for coming my Abbey Jake”

Jake smiles at the hug and nods "Your welcome and no worries I don’t plan on leaving it, Redwall is my home and I will protect it and the beast inside, it’s one reason I..wanted to go hunt an owl earlier, it hurt Silver who is in the infirm now because of it, I still want to hunt it Father Abbot but I know I shouldn’t as...well Oz had a point I could get bad hurt or worse and that wouldn’t be wise the day before my wedding...still something needs done about that owl"

Lorimis says, "Silver really DOES have to learn to be more the winning beast lest the one in the Infirmary"

Jake sighs and nods "He got hurt bad this time, he was lucky I shot that thing in the wing..or..well"

Maythus walks down the stairs into Great-hall, "An' who got hurt this time?" He mutters, basket of sewing stuff on an arm.

Jake looks at Maythus as he stands, "Silver..by an owl, That I WOULD go hunt but promised wouldn't so...won't..I am going to go see how Silver is now, talk later" he then heads upstairs as he calls down "And staying inside PROMISE"
